Ratskeller in Heinsberg

I ordered a chicken doner kebab and chips, the quality and flavour were excellent. I was only visiting for a couple of days, and had arrived unable to pay cash, the owner was gracious enough to offer that I could pay the following day, unfortunately I couldn't find a cash point until the day after that, for which they were closed! I feel awful for not having paid after their kind gesture. If you read this, please message or email me some details so I can transfer the money. Dan.

For a delicious piece of meat, this is the place to be. We had spare ribs and a flank steak. In a word: delicious. Carefully prepared and beautifully presented. The restaurant wasn't busy, but that's probably because we were there on a typical Tuesday evening with drizzly weather. The quality certainly wasn't a problem. Service was also quick and attentive. Prices are very reasonable. In short: definitely worth a return visit!

The soup as a starter was good. The main course, the farm platter, wasn't really to my taste. The dessert, the crêpes Suzette, was really good. The game platter was excellent. Absolutely delicious and plentiful.

It's a shame the place closed. The food was delicious, and it was wonderful to be able to sit right by the water.
