Ratseck in Frankfurt (Oder)

On my first visit to Frankfurt Oder with my girlfriend, we visited this location to have dinner. I had already heard a lot of positive things about this restaurant in advance, which was confirmed for us afterwards. :) The service was very friendly and had a smile for the guest, even though the restaurant was busy and full. The range of dishes was carefully and creatively selected so that everyone quickly found what they were looking for. The presentation of the main courses we ordered was a real eye-catcher; we were both very impressed by the taste and the portion size. At this point, big compliments to the kitchen! We would be happy to come back, the Ratseck in FFO is my insider tip and a recommendation to all my friends. Kind regards from Leipzig :)

We stopped here spontaneously last week. We were greeted warmly and served quickly. Before our meal, we received a welcome from the kitchen. That's rare these days. We really enjoyed the food and drinks. We were completely satisfied. Highly recommended.

This is how I imagine good gastronomy

Everything just fits perfectly here. The food was incredibly delicious, the service was simply superb, and the ambiance is fantastic. We were even given blankets to warm us up because it was getting quite chilly. They even offered us a sample due to a food intolerance. We'd love to come back on our next trip.

I was there for the first time yesterday and can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant. The waitress was extremely accommodating. She was alone that evening and "warned" us before our visit that it might take a bit longer. (Which ultimately wasn't the case.) We were rewarded with a free soup and exceptional friendliness. The food arrived unexpectedly quickly, after the advance notice, after about 30 minutes. The rump steak was cooked to perfection, with very tasty chanterelle mushrooms and a generous portion. We sat outside; the restaurant was very tastefully decorated inside and out. If we ever come back to Frankfurt (Oder), we will definitely stop there again! Thanks for the pleasant evening :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We spontaneously dropped in at Ratseck today – and felt at home from the very first moment. The warm welcome and care we received was simply wonderful. You immediately notice: People are the focus here. The food was a real treat – cooked with love, freshly prepared, and just the right size, even in smaller or senior-sized portions. Add to that a good draft beer or other liquid treat, and an all-around warm, cozy atmosphere. A place with soul – we'll definitely be back!

We discovered the small, fine Ratseck by chance and can highly recommend it. We were immediately drawn to the bright, modern atmosphere. The dining room has a very comfortable atmosphere, very good acoustics, pleasantly quiet and relaxed, well ventilated, no kitchen smells. The service person was lovely! My special request (chicken breast with asparagus and boiled potatoes) was accommodated immediately without any fuss! Motto: With pleasure, no problem at all. But the chicken breast with BBQ beer sauce was also great. The “Frankfurter” anyway! PS: Everything is super clean, tasteful, like it was newly renovated, (including toilet = dance hall not only wonderful for wheelchair users!) We'll be back!!

I can recommend this small and fine restaurant with a clear conscience. It suits my taste that way. The ambience has a certain clarity and modernity. Super clean and cozy. The owner offers a very varied menu and cooks seasonal dishes. My insider tip is the fish soup. You should try them. The tables are usually intended for 4 people and for larger groups you should definitely make a reservation. Fair for the cuisine and the service. There are also very, very good wines and fresh draft beer. The service is very friendly and attentive. The quality of the food and the taste are convincing across the board. Please pay attention to the opening times. Have fun trying out the really great dishes, Here’s to a pleasant visit.

Yesterday, March 15th, 2025, we were guests at Ratseck Frankfurt Oder for dinner. Great ambience and great service. The dishes, Cordon Bleu “Mal Anders” for my wife and Surf and Turf for me, were absolutely top notch. We were completely satisfied, very nice staff and a very accommodating chef. We received a very warm welcome in front of the theater in the Kleist Forum with delicious Brussels sprout soup and a really great meal. The cordon bleu according to the house style was amazing in terms of taste!!! The ambience, especially the light, was very pleasant. A big compliment to the very friendly and attentive service and the chef in the background. The toilets are very clean with everything a woman needs including an emergency number for women who are exposed to domestic violence. Great!!! Very friendly service and really tasty food, at reasonable prices. Cozy atmosphere and the toilets were also clean. I had the garlic cream soup as a starter which was fantastic. The main course was the rump steak with mushrooms and fried potatoes, and the steak was particularly great. Not everyone gets it so delicately and to the point. It wasn't the last time I ate here.

The food is fantastic at reasonable prices (better and still cheaper than Komet). The owners are super friendly and competent, for example when recommending a wine or choosing a dish. I've had both good and bad experiences with the staff employed (good staff isn't always available).

We wanted to have dinner there with our family. We sat down and got our cards. I asked if the card was in English or Polish. On the Polish side, we are used to the fact that the menu is in Polish and German, and often also in English and Russian. It is about respect for the client. The staff said that this is Germany and everything is only in German. This pride is a bit exaggerated, if we take into account that until recently it was part of Russian Germany and genetically they were Polabian Slavs. now it sucks. When we noticed the price list, we were informed that we would get our food in an hour and whether we wanted to wait. We didn't want to wait, and we felt bad because of the rude service, so we went to another restaurant. Perhaps the food there is good, but we expect something more from the restaurant. And you could almost hear Deutschland fur Deutsche there. We live in Poland and were there as tourists.

We recommend. Pleasant atmosphere (inside and outside), nice staff who always check and ask if everything is OK, relaxed atmosphere (the staff also comes by (at their own end of work) and wishes you a nice weekend.

The inconspicuous pearl Today's weather was only surpassed by our visit to Ratseck. Luckily, we were turned down with typical Brandenburg friendliness at two restaurants, which we won't go into in detail, when we asked if we could sit outside. So we moved on from the Oder towards the city center and my mother-in-law (a local Frankfurter) let's go to Ratseck, it's just great there, said and done. Not that we (my daughter, son and I) hadn't walked past there about 40 minutes ago, but as Potsdam residents we unfortunately didn't know this somewhat hidden gem, which always smells like an insider tip. We were able to sit outside and our culinary journey began. The greeting from the kitchen (asparagus soup) immediately elicited the verdict “that’s so delicious” from our 9-year-old daughter. A repeat order followed immediately and was received as warmly as is unfortunately rarely the case in Brandenburg. In short, the service is first-class and warm, simply authentic. Our main courses including my bouillabaisse were simply incredibly delicious. I haven't had the Hamburger Schnitzel, which comes with two toy eggs, for what feels like 100 years (without reordering), just great. The presentation of the food was also simply great. A visit to the toilet, like the entire dining room, matches the sign on the hatch to the kitchen: “Cooking is love.” We would like to thank you again very much for this great visit, this restaurant is love and you can see, notice and taste it. Really great, had dinner there today with my brother and niece. And I have to say really great. Very nice waitress, great atmosphere, nice and cozy and it was also delicious. 5 out of 5 stars. I'll definitely be back soon.

Ein sehr schönes kleines Restaurant. Das Essen war super und das Fleisch auf den Punkt (Rumpsteak - medium). Man könnte schön draußen sitzen in einer ruhigen Nebenstraße. Netter Service - sehr zu Empfehlen.
