A place right next to the main road, created next to a former gas station. The food is good, the meat and potatoes or fries are really tasty, but the sauces are worse, which in my opinion are made from a bag (powder). 😔 Raw salads are also good, but you have to pay for them separately. In my opinion, a place that defends itself. It's worth stopping by while on the road.

Good place to go out to eat, the offer is OK. In the summer you can eat outside. There are a few things that could possibly be annoying due to the traffic. Otherwise, we highly recommend it

I always like to drive there when I want to take a break. Close to the motorway. Family-run, time has stood still here. Extensive menu and fairly reasonable prices. It's nice that something like this still exists.

No photo, which is a pity!!! The phone died and had to be charged in the truck! It's hard to rate this place...! After entering the premises, it was a bit of a shock! The restaurant next to the car shop should attract crowds of drivers from the nearby station, but at 8 p.m. the place is empty... One person drinking beer in smoking room... And a customer picking up a takeaway pizza... The atmosphere in the place is like in the times of the Polish People's Republic... There is dampness in the toilet and I don't even want to go there...! The service was bland, lacking... (Do you eat here or take away?) After deciding that I would be happy to eat something there, I received a menu card... I was looking at the leaflet earlier... Onion soup to start... I liked that instead of croutons there was a slice of baked bread, probably in an egg with yellow cheese... Nice creative idea 👍 Unfortunately, the portion is quite modest... Stock pot 250 - 300 ml a little bit... Main course and another shock... Gyros, fries and tzatziki sauce... Hmm... Literally just gyros plus fries and tzatziki sauce... and onion from the pan with gyros... Hmm... Maybe some leftover soup? No salad... Zero additives! The fries are even ok... They succeeded... Warm... Could be a little crispier... Gyro meat... Supposedly good, but... ... burnt on one side and undercooked on the other ... On the one hand, you feel the burnt meat along with the burnt onion and you feel that the meat is slightly rubbery 😭 Instead of enjoying good meat, you try to chew and swallow it somehow... and that burnt onion... If it weren't for the tzatziki sauce...!!! The sauce killed the taste of burnt onion and burnt meat... After eating this meal, I left "slightly" disgusted... I left less than €20 And at a nearby station I bought 100 ml of vodka to get rid of the taste of burnt food... How can such a RATHAUS be 4'5*??? I probably won't eat here again... "Healthier" will be at McDonald's...

The pizza was prepared quickly and tasted good. Unfortunately part of it was burnt and the size of the pizza was smaller than stated. 9.90 euros for 16 cm pizza. The box size is also just under 19 cm. Unfortunately we're used to better things from the Lomo.

Food good, and very quick with the order, service good, except that you are asked whether you need ketchup or mayonnaise and are not told that the sachet costs €0.60 and that it only shows up on the bill, that's what annoyed me

I can only recommend it! The price-performance ratio is unbeatable. I can't understand what kind of haute cuisine people can expect when they eat at such a cheap restaurant. The food is good, the place is clean and the employees are friendly!!!

Very good traditional German dishes and recipes. The tavern is classic German. I recommend it. Very good service. The drinks a little expensive.

Dinner was tasty and large portion. Value for money. Prices are also not expensive. What is a pity is that the café is next to the road and in a place that is not quickly and easily accessible.

My recommendation. The grill plate was very tasty. The service was very nice. The ambience is okay.

Delicious food for an affordable price.

Today I ordered a pizza for 12 euros and it was said in good German. The worst pizza I have ever eaten in Bad Hersfeld. Serving a pizza like that for €12 is really a disgrace. The menu says the pizza costs €9.90 I added extra peppers. €2.90 was charged. It's a shame to serve pizza like that. Quality doesn't speak for itself.

Unfortunately pizza was uncut. Had to get the big Stihl cutting machine out of the car to cut the pizza. The table now also has a small blemish, or half of the table is missing. But joking aside, everything here is great, very good prices and tasty food.

UPDATE Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be. Ordered fried potatoes, got fries. The amount of rice as a side dish was a joke (3 tablespoons of fried rice spread out on the plate) and we were very disappointed. Price performance top. Good portion and tasty for little money. Very polite staff and super clean. Looks old but in great shape. Come again.

An inn near the highway, with fair prices and appropriate service. Always a recommendation when you come here. Significantly better than the system restaurants on the highway! Keep it up!

Mixed salad, almost only iceberg.Pizza baked too long, far too dark and dry.Spaghetti Bolognese, almost no sauce. And they weren't real spaghetti either. After a telephone complaint, there was nothing we could do. Ok, all right, we probably need guests. We've been customers for years. Cheeky. Well, then we were customers.

Price performance is simply great

There's a lot of sugar in the salad dressing! If you have diabetes, you should stay away from it! When I asked about it, they said it had always been like that, but that wasn't true because I had been there several times. I wasn't offered any other dressing either. Even if this is just a rest stop, it is part of the good house that you take care of your guests. The outside of the rest stop has remained unchanged for years, and the outside seating area next to an empty gas station/construction site is not very inviting. A lot of things could be changed visually. Fries and pizza were good

The Rasthaus Bad Hersfeld is a cozy place with a great atmosphere. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and service was quick and efficient. The menu had a good selection of tasty dishes and the food was fresh and tasty. The prices were reasonable and the price-performance ratio was right. The Cleanliness was also great.

Unfortunately, a bad experience - the food was too salty, the milkshake too thin and the coffee, to say the least, nothing to write home about. And the service probably also needs an upgrade 🥺

Rasthaus in Bad Hersfeld...in Germany, the truth is, I know how long we were there...and we came back yesterday...to eat the truth, how the previous time, you eat well... The only fault is that you can't Maybe they don't allow you to pay for any MasterCard card...... Nor does a visa.... how it happened to us we had to go out and look for an ATM.😔...that can't be.... .... only you can pay with a German card....🤔.NOOOO.... that's fine really.......... I don't see it right... on top of that when the business owner doesn't even It's German.........thank you..Danke schoen...

It used to be worth a visit for the prices but not anymore. Was there for the first time in 5 years and I haven't had such a thin, dry pizza for a long time and we ordered 4 pieces.... never again.... I'd rather pay 2€ more and get a juicy pizza 🍕

Schöne einfaches Lokal,wo wir schon seit Jahren hingehen. Nicht immer, aber wer kein Schnickschnack aber ein einfaches Essen für sich reicht was auch gut ist genau richtig.

Rustikaler Ort mit Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Standardessen wie die Suppen, Nudeln und Pizza schmecken sehr gut. Bei Rumpsteak ist leider nicht viel zu erwarten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und geht auf jeden Wunsch ein. Ich gehe seit mehreren Jahren immer mal wieder hin. Leider hatten sie bisher nie den Nachtisch den ich gerne wollte (Mousse au Chocolat oder das Panna Cotta). Keine Ahnung warum es überhaupt noch auf der Karte steht.

Essen ist Billig und schmeckt super. 5 Sterne

Ich bin schon seit Jahren regelmäßiger Gast im Rasthaus Bad Hersfeld und kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen. Das Essen ist immer frisch und schmeckt einfach fantastisch. Egal ob man sich für ein warmes Gericht oder einen Snack entscheidet, die Qualität ist immer auf höchstem Niveau. Besonders beeindruckt bin ich von der Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals. Egal ob es um eine Bestellung geht oder um eine Nachfrage zu einem Gericht, die Mitarbeiter sind immer sehr zuvorkommend und sorgen dafür, dass man sich als Gast rundum wohl fühlt. Besonders positiv hervorheben möchte ich auch die schnelle Zubereitung der Speisen, selbst bei einer Bestellung zum Mitnehmen muss man nicht lange warten. Das ist besonders praktisch, wenn man unterwegs ist und schnell etwas zu Essen braucht. Das Rasthaus Bad Hersfeld bietet außerdem eine große Auswahl an Gerichten für jeden Geschmack. Von traditionellen deutschen Speisen bis hin zu internationalen Köstlichkeiten ist für jeden etwas dabei. Auch die Portionsgrößen sind ausreichend und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist mehr als fair. Ich kann das Rasthaus Bad Hersfeld nur jedem empfehlen, der auf der Suche nach gutem Essen und einem tollen Service ist. Ich werde auf jeden Fall weiterhin regelmäßig vorbeikommen und freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch.

Wir hatten hier eine sehr schöne Rast auf unserer Fahrt entlang der A4. Breite Auswahl, sehr lecker - vor allem auch die Pizza - und das alles zu sehr angemessenen Preisen. Der Service war schnell und freundlich. Wir können das Rasthaus sehr empfehlen.

Man sollte sich nicht von dem Ambiente abschrecken lassen. Das Essen war gut nicht mehr und nicht weniger, der oft Bemengelte Pizzateig war sehr gut und auch alle anderen Gerichte die wir hatten waren gut.

Also ich kenne diese Lokal sehr lange, aber war da bestimmt 5 Jahren nicht, es hat mich überrascht weil Pizza was ich mir bestellt habe war teilweise verbrand, Bedienung war überfordert, ich habe lange nach einem Getränk gewartet und noch länger wo ich zweiten wollte. Wer Zeit und Geduld hat kann hin gehen ich werde es vermeiden.
