If you're from Nordhorn and were born in the 70s and fancy a trip back in time, then this is the place for you. Suddenly you're 12 years old again, grabbing some fries with mayo after ice skating.

I love it here, they have the best schnitzel in the world, and the price-performance ratio is unbeatable.

This grill has been around for 55 years for good reason. The menu is modest, but the quality is exceptionally good. Chicken is served fresh from the grill several times a day, and the fries are perfect. The staff is always friendly, and the prices are unbeatable.

Always good products, prices are reasonable! The service sometimes seems a bit brusque. The interior design is a bit dated.

We waited almost 20 minutes to order. We saw others sitting for 5 minutes, and then they were able to order!!! I don't know what it takes to be served promptly. The Ramaker from years ago will probably never return. We will never go there again. Tables sticky, leftover food from the previous customer, etc. Our conclusion: 1 star is still too many. Thanks for nothing.

We spontaneously visited this "location," and I'm at a loss for words. Schnitzel with paprika sauce... It's probably been sitting in that warming case all day, which should have put me off; it was more than just warmed to death! The sauce was from a can, tasteless, sour, and just a waste of money. It's a shame, this chip shop once had an impeccable reputation, but that was a long time ago. If I ever feel like a schnitzel again, I'll make it myself and save money, too. Not to mention the ambiance—nostalgia is all well and good, but please keep it clean!

The grill room is a few years old, but everything is well-maintained and clean. The food was delicious. Schnitzel was pan-fried with clarified butter. The portions were large enough to fill you up. The service was very friendly, and the prices were reasonable.

Nice grills. We opted for a meatball and fries, and I had a schnitzel with fries. Plus some salad. It tasted good, and we were satisfied. You can't pay by card here, though.

Good food, German style, tasty portions.

First of all, for a long time, there were "Ramaker's Grillstuben" in Nordhorn and Neuenhaus, run by the Ramaker family. The food and service were top-notch, but then the shop in Neuenhaus and later the grill shop on Neuenhauser Str. were closed. Only this grill shop on Bentheimer Str. continued operating. Then the grill shop was taken over by a new operator, who kept the logo and name for a long time, so only guests in the know noticed the change. Later, the logo and name disappeared from the menu and the restaurant, and there was another change of operator. As an outsider, you don't really notice this because everyone still talks about Ramaker's Grillstuben. But what you do notice – if you know the quality of food Ramaker served – was that with each change, the quality declined considerably. I don't know who the current owner is; I can't find a name for them, but the food they sell there now... Last night, hunter's schnitzel with fries, currywurst, fries, and a drink. The schnitzel was dead and tough; any attempt to revive it would have failed - the hunter's sauce was an absolute disgrace, the ready-made sauce was stretched further with some unappealing mushrooms, and it had a pungent aftertaste. The fries were okay, but they also skimp on the mayo. So you can't give the food more than 2 stars when you know how good the food tasted back then at the real Ramaker. But simply invoking the old name isn't enough.

Great restaurant in old atmosphere and style. Cheap a great meal. Recommended for fries and schnitzel lovers. We will definitely come back!

Had a great meal today. Both schnitzel with fries. And a kraut salad with it. Mayonnaise is also tasty. Great little restaurant. And we thought it was cheap.

It's been better and cheaper. I realize the staff deserves to be paid properly, but for a really small fries without mayo and two sausages without mustard, over 7 euros, that's pretty steep.

I grew up in North Rhine-Westphalia, and from a certain age, "Ramaker's Killstuben" was a must-visit on the weekends, thanks to the delicious food and reasonable prices! After more than 25 years (I spent a lot of time abroad for work and moved away from North Rhine-Westphalia), I returned last year for the first time...and it was a trip back to my youth :) The food tastes just as good as it used to, the prices are still reasonable, and the decor hasn't changed...simply AMAZING!!! You walked in...and you felt like you were home :)) Now, Ramaker is a must on every visit to North Rhine-Westphalia...preferably on the evening of arrival (I live 600km away), and then take another one home with you when you leave :) In short: Simply awesome :)

We are here as holidaymakers and were surprised. The chicken was well seasoned and wonderfully juicy. The fries (separate👍) were on point and also seasoned just right. Service was well-rehearsed and very friendly despite the “hut being full to the brim”. Not a long wait. Thank you, we'll be back👏👏👏

We are coming back here for the third time. Delicious food at a good price, friendly staff. The chicken is extremely tasty! I really like the salad bar, where you can create your own salad with your chosen ingredients and dressing. Highly recommend!

We had fries and Jägerwurst to take away. The fries were almost raw and unsalted. The hunter's sauce seems to be being added more and more water. It used to be great, now it's a disaster.

A great shop, you get something for your money here. Forget all the newfangled fast food chains. With Ramaker, time still stands still and I like that. As a cash fetishist, I think it's really great that card payments aren't possible. Unfortunately, you can hardly get a french fry without smelling (except at the outside window "Mc-bike-drive"), because once you enter the "used oil stick oasis" you can smell quite a bit of chip fat and my children then immediately know that Dad has secretly been to Ramaker again and they are very jealous. Everything's great, stay the way you are! 😀

Super tasty food for a good price

After a long time, I picked up food from Ramaker again. The fries, the currywurst and the croquettes were delicious. The “Jägerschnitzel” was overly seasoned and tough. The "Zigeunerschnitzel" (that's actually still what it's called there, and I left out of this review whether this name is still relevant, otherwise I wouldn't have given it any stars) was inedible. The sauce tasted sour and it upset my stomach, even though I only tried two pieces. When I tried to call them to point this out, no one answered the phone. It's a shame, it used to be a really good snack bar.

Like from my childhood, the good old chip shop. Delicious. I'd love to come back

The inside of the meatball wasn't soggy or overly seasoned. The hunter's sauce, if you can call it that, was too sour, it all tightens up. Food almost eaten and no drinks at the table yet. So next time back to the competition.

Simple and delicious... The menu hasn't changed for years... We're all about eating and drinking and relaxing together... Portions well balanced...

Eating with tradition for 50 years

We ate here, but it wasn't that good. Instead of chicken wings, we got chicken nuggets, the schnitsel was nothing special. We ordered mayonnaise, which turned out to be mustard. When I went to ask for something at the cash register, I discovered that you could only pay in cash. I look for an ATM nearby. Well, that was another quest. In short, this was quite an adventure. The food was reasonable, but besides everything and looking at the price-quality ratio not ok. I'll never eat here again. It will be a nice tent for local residents. Not to be specifically sought out.

Grill / Snack bar (restaurant), where you can also sit. Had a nice meal and sat in a wooden U-bench seat. Good (not fried) schnitzels, with fries or potato croquettes and a fresh salad, which is served for you on the spot. The chicken on the Grill Spit also looks delicious. Recommended, the price is also low, for a good meal.

Always delicious for decades...

Always enjoyed going to Ramaker for over 25 years. Today was really a disaster. Waited over an hour for food, didn't get any drinks, and with the hamburger the meat wasn't even fried but boiled. Condition totally unprofessional, first a glass was brought to neighboring tables, then after a while a beer. Never again. Very unfortunate

A place that I have enjoyed visiting again and again for years. Not only the food but also the service is excellent.

It was said to have tasted really good there. I can't share that statement now. Standing outside the window for almost 40 minutes. When we got home with the food, we were disappointed. Fries unsalted. If they were seasoned, the salt probably flew past them. For me, a Jägerschnitzel is a schnitzel in a delicious, hearty Jäger sauce with delicious onions and champions. In addition, in a creamy consistency. You got a schnitzel in a floating gypsy sauce. Without pepper strips. Then the expected champions were simply slapped on top. Once and never again.

Looks "old" from the outside as well as the inside but it speaks for itself. Price performance was great. Was served quickly and friendly.

Top authentic place for a delicious curry wurst!

Wir sind immer gerne zum Essen nach Ramaker. Aber was wir gestern bekommen haben war nicht schön. Die Pommes kalt und nicht durch. Die Schnitzel auch ungenießbar eins nicht durch und das andere stellenweise verbrannt. Die Soßen haben wie Metall geschmeckt . Von Sauberkeit ganz zu schweigen das Fett für die Pommes und das Schnitzel hat man gemerkt das es alt war. 30 € für die Mülltonne.

Wie immer leckeres Fastfoodessen, das darf wohl mal ;).

Prima restaurant! Vooral heel goedkoop ongezond en prima lekker, maar je moet hier niet heen met hoge verwachtingen van de smaak.

Gott sei Dank gibt es dieses Restaurant immer noch!! Immer wenn ich in Nordhorn bin, ist es Pflicht dort zu essen!! Vor 45 Jahren war ich dort schon essen, und es war auch damals sehr gut!! Die Pommes sind mega lecker, die Schnitzel ein Traum!! Die Salate sehen alle klasse aus!! Und schmecken auch ganz toll!! Das ist noch ein richtig gutes Imbiss / Restaurant!! Und mit nettem Personal!! Nicht zu vergleichen mit diesen ganzen Burger Buden.

Das ist ist immer gut, aber die Grillstube sieht noch genau so aus wie vor knapp 50 Jahren, außer dir Stühle und Tische sind heller.
