RAMA Ismaning offers a very pleasant atmosphere, attentive and friendly service, and overall well-prepared dishes. The food is fresh, aromatic, and attractively presented, making you feel welcome immediately. Overall, I had a truly positive experience; my only suggestion would be that the spiciness could be a bit stronger to better emphasize the authentic Indian character.

Overall, it was okay. The food preparation (in terms of taste) varied, ranging from very good to mediocre.

We've been going there on and off for 30 years and unfortunately have to say that the quality has declined considerably. The food seemed carelessly thrown together the last few times, and the staff used to be much friendlier and more competent. What a shame...

It was my first visit today, and I really enjoyed it. Friendly staff, the food came quickly, and it was delicious. I had the No. 50 Chicken Tikka Masalla with typical jasmine rice and a slice of Narn bread. I'd be happy to go back.

The Indian restaurant Rama in Ismaning is an absolute bliss! As soon as you enter, you'll feel the pleasant and inviting atmosphere, inviting you to linger. But the absolute highlight is undoubtedly the food: every bite is a feast for the senses and tastes authentically Indian – just as you'd expect. The selection is diverse and offers something for every taste. The staff also deserves special mention. I've rarely experienced such friendly and attentive service. As a guest, you feel truly welcome and well looked after. Anyone looking for an excellent Indian restaurant in Ismaning or the surrounding area should definitely visit Rama. A clear recommendation for an all-round successful culinary experience!

The staff is super friendly and regularly serves you in a relaxed atmosphere. The ambiance is also very pleasant, BUT the food is AMAZINGLY delicious! We may have waited a minute or two longer than usual, but it was worth it! Thank you very much.

Absolutely good - consistently good and varied cuisine for 40 years

My brother and I were there twice, and both times we had nothing but bad experiences. The first time, we weren't allowed to sit inside and eat because of our dog, and today, the second time, we were kindly given a spot on the terrace, but after about eight minutes, we were told to park the dog under the table. ("Put the dog further in." was his comment.) Another guest, who was also there with a medium-sized dog, wasn't asked to "put the dog further in." By the way, we didn't get a menu either. What a shame. Now we're in a bad mood and frustrated. What a shame.

Yesterday, the two of us had lunch here and sat outside in the summer garden. Nice atmosphere, fast and friendly service. The food was truly delicious. Everything was fresh and very well seasoned. If we, from Hamburg, are ever in Munich again, we'll stop by and eat here again. TOP!

This Restaurant is serving the same taste since decades now, people working there are friendly, tables can be easily booked through a call. They have halal options too. I had a great time there with my family.

Yesterday we had dinner with friends at Rama in Ismaning. I rarely write Google reviews, but this time I have to! I spent the whole night on the toilet!!! I've never had food poisoning in a restaurant in Europe before and we really enjoy eating out and love Indian cuisine! The only positive thing I can say about Rama is the atmosphere, which is very cozy. The service leaves something to be desired if you order more bread/nan and get a mint tandoori in return. The waiters are also unfriendly. I know from other Indian restaurants that you get papadum on the house before your meal or a mango liqueur at the end, but here you don't get anything. The prices are outrageously expensive. I think 19 EUR is overpriced for a butter chicken!! This is also the cheapest thing you can get as a main course! In addition, we only got one portion of rice for 3 main courses that were served with rice and had to pay for the other 2 huge portions! A no go!! Conclusion: not recommended!!! Unless you want to throw up and have diarrhea all night!!

Wir haben uns Butter chicken bestellt für zu Hause. Der Reis, Raita und das Naan waren ok. Leider war das Butter Chicken total versalzen und die Sauce war wässrig. Es waren verschiedene Hähnchenstücke unter anderem welches aus dem Tandori Ofen. Alles sehr trocken. Das hat da auch nichts zu suchen. Das Rama sieht uns nie wieder. Die Küche war früher super.

The restaurant was very nice and beautiful. The food was amazing and a lot and the waiters were really friendly. I can suggest trying the palak paneer, it was great and tasted so similar to the palak paneer in india!

There were six of us there and the food was delicious. But we also had something to complain about: the tables were too close together, the waiters were there too often, we couldn't understand exactly what we paid and the location of the toilets was strange.

This is one of the best Indian restaurants in Germany. The food is excellent. The only problem one faces here is to choose one dish when ALL the dishes are super tasty. One wants to try all the dishes. Prices are competent. Service personnel are excellent, helpful, friendly, and understand hospitality extremely well.

I can only review their midday menu, haven't been in the evening. Terrace is great in summer, lunch service is snappy and a lamb rogan josh, rice, naan and a lassi came to €20, which is reasonable. Food is spicy (if it says it's spicy, it will be!) Edit: I've been here for lunch about 50x (there's nothing else in Ismaning to match it) and I'm still impressed by both the Mittagsmenu and the full menu.

Rama has been our favorite restaurant for many years, in our opinion there is no better Indian food and we have tried many Indian restaurants.

Lots of choice of food. The choice of torment. Despite there being a lot of guests, the waiting time was relatively short. Nice service with perfect German.

Maybe an employee still remembers my order. I ordered the 110 on the phone and said please put more of the square things in!! , I also pay more. Good thing I didn't pay more when I picked it up. At home then the sad surprise was just “a” square thing (employee thought it was cheese somehow) It was a special request from my girlfriend and I wanted to make her happy because the 110 is her favorite food. Next time because we often order there, I will unfortunately check again on site to see if there is more in it! I worked in the catering industry myself and if a customer had a request, I was able to fulfill it, but unfortunately that didn't work with Rama or there was a communication error between the employee and the kitchen. Food was tasty but still. Therefore only two stars. Next time I would like a second chance.

Unfortunately, of the 5 dishes we picked up yesterday, 3 were absolutely inedible (tasteless and unseasoned) and the overall quality was very poor. Since I'm a big fan of Rama, I was very disappointed and surprised as I'm used to much better quality and taste. I hope it remains a one-time “slip”

Bis gestern 02.09.24 war ich ein großer Fan vom Rama Ismaning. Wir haben 5 Hauptspeisen abgeholt (wir wohnen 5 min entfernt) Das Chicken Irani war absolut geschmacklos und ungewürzt. Für eine Hauptspeise für 18€ erwarte ich mehr als 3 kleine Stückchen Huhn in reiner Sahne (kaum Gewürze) Vom Rama bin ich eig anders gewohnt. Dieses Gericht hatte ich schon öfter. Die Penne Emiliana waren komplett ungenießbar, geschmacklich konnte man sie wirklich nicht essen. Ich bin sehr enttäuscht vom Geschmack und der Qualität der Gerichte.

Seems like they value the atmosphere It was a pretty restaurant. The roses were placed so beautifully. I had a good time taking a picture. I ordered butter naan and garlic naan and dipped them into various curries. The butter naan had a really good texture, and the garlic naan had a very delicious combination of garlic flavor and curry. I ate really hectic. I think I'll want to go again.

Ordered lamb tikka, €20 for 4 small pieces of lamb is ridiculous. More of a children's portion, but not for an adult! I feel really ripped off! After eating is before eating, you stay hungry! The restaurant owner shows no insight, his answer is "meat is expensive" this shop should be closed, I paid €20 for a portion and then a statement like this comes out! To all customers go somewhere else just not to Rama!

Incredible Dishes and fabulous Naans. Great service and staff. Easy to find from the S8 Train Station. The price of the dishes is also great . I lived and worked in Ismaning and was a regular!

So ein freundliches und lustiges Personal- das Essen ist sehr gut. Ich hatte ein Phantastisches Palak Paneer,zwei meiner Kollegen schwören auf die Hummersuppe! Diese ist äußerst exquisit! Auch scharfe Gerichte wie Chicken Vindaloo kamen gut an! Die Einrichtung ist inspirierend!

Für uns der beste Inder, wir kommen immer wieder gerne. Der Service war sehr freundlich, und das Mango Chicken ist das beste in der ganzen Stadt.

Food, as always, good. Service is still annoying, standing at the table every minute to take the order. Repeatedly pointing out that we still need it hasn't changed anything. Going out to eat comfortably is different for me 😒 I have enough stress in my life that I don't have to be stressed about the food and the selection. Personally, I find that impossible, my companions also found it annoying but more relaxed than I saw it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Karastrophale, unmögliche Begrüßung durch komplett unfreundliches indisches Personal! So was habe ich noch nicht erlebt: wir hatten reserviert und kamen mit einem kleinen Hund und wurden nicht ma angeschaut. Es wurde fast hysterisch gefragt, ob wir mit Hund hier rein wollen…. Das Personal dort ist das allerletzte an Unfreundlichkeit nicht zu übertreffen. Die Rechnung wurde auch falsch erstellt, statt Mittagsgericht wurde einfach der Preis von der normalen Karte genommen. Die Getränke in 0,4 l Gläsern werden einfach mal mit Preisen von 0,5 l laut Karte ausgewiesen! Ob hier nicht mal das Gewerbeaufsichtsamt kommen sollte???

Too expensive, for M15 mittag menu klein portion you really get 3 pieces of chicken for 12 euros that really really costly. I ordered Chicken tikka biryani, which is not Biryani at all, not even resembling. In India we have biryani’s specific to state, but the one had is not specific to any state at all. Overall it was too expensive restaurant. Salt lassi was ok but not to the mark.

In our opinion the food is fantastic. Ambiance is okay, nothing special. And when it comes to service, it depends on who you get.

Das indische Spezialitätenrestaurant "RAMA" besteht seit ca 20 Jahren in Ismaning und die Gäste kommen tgeilweise auch aus München zum Essen. Es werden auch Pizza angeboten, aber wir lieben die indischen Gerichte. Dieses Mal entschieden wir uns für "Punjabi Tahli" für zwei Personen (gibt auch für eine). Es werden in kleine Schälchen Rind-,Lamm- und Huhn sowie Gemüse mit Reis und Faldenbrot serviert. Außerdem "Seefood Tahli" (Fisch und Garnelen) ebenfalls für zwei Personen. Die Speisen sind in der Regel gut gewürzt und ich rate bei Speisen (scharf) ab, da diese meiner Meinung für unseren Gaumen zu scharf sind, ist aber Geschmackssache. Ingesamt waren wir, wie schon des Öfteren, sehr zufrieden, der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam und wir fühlen uns in dem stilvollem Ambiente sehr wohl. Ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Essen im "Rama"!

Sind seit 30 Jahren immer wieder sehr gerne hier. Das Essen war ausnahmslos immer sehr gut. Mit Kindern ist es die perfekte Location, da es eine komplette indische und eine komplette italienische Speisekarte gibt und für jeden etwas dabei ist. Die Pizzen sind auch sehr lecker und noch dazu relativ günstig.

Service is ok depending on who is attending to you. Went there twice, the first occasion was better experience. The second was on New Year’s Day, the food turned out to be very salty. We ordered Ali Channa with Butter Naan and then Roti with Malai Kofta, both curries were salty, the Nasn and Roti were also salty and together the combinations were unpalatable. Even though they did something when we mentioned this to them, there was not much difference. We also asked for tap water to drink which they refused to give unlike the first time, they claimed some quality issues but were unable to respond on how they were using the same water for cooking. This despite the fact that Munich tap water is of extremely high quality coming from Bavarian Alps

We were asked to leave the restaurant without warning because new guests were waiting for the table in the entrance. Basically it's ok if you at least have time to end your conversation. So we perceive it as rude. Sales are more important than customer well-being.

Es war viel zu laut und viel zu warm drinnen, aber das Essen war gut und der Service auch. Die Espresso war super, wie beim Italiener! Wer indisches Esse mag, kann dieses Restaurant gern besuchen.

Wir waren schon häufiger hier, und das Essen ist eigentlich immer völlig in Ordnung. Aber der Service war diesmal sagenhaft unpassend in dem gerade mal gut besuchten Restaurant. Diskussionen über reservierte Tische; zur Bestellung gedrängelt; an die Schulter geklopft, um Druck zu machen; angepampt worden; beim Bezahlen geweigert die Eingabe im Gerät zu zeigen und dann auch noch angemault und halb beschimpft worden... Wir sind echt etwas entsetzt und hoffen, das war von 2 Servicekräften nur ein verdammt schlechter Tag. Wir sind selbst aus einem Servicebereich, aber das war echt unmöglich.

Gute Auswahl an Mittagsmenüs zu fairen Preisen. Die Qualität war gut, aber der Service eher bescheiden.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und der Service sehr freundlich. Kurze Wartezeiten auf das Essen und man ist um den Gast sehr bemüht.
