A great restaurant with a view of the Elbe River and the fish auction hall. Great service, and the food is truly delicious. There's a great outdoor seating area that's really cozy.

The seating is comfortable, and the music is relaxing. Unfortunately, the food is only at the level of a snack bar. Fried potatoes from the deep fryer, the fish and chips are boneless, and the fries aren't crispy.

Almost everything was fine, although I wasn't offered a fresh glass for my second wheat beer, and when I asked for it, they offered me the wrong one. Unfortunately, the sea bream was a bit too dry. Must have been the weather...

The three of us spontaneously stopped by the restaurant... The reception was friendly, the waitress was engaging, but not particularly professional. Let's talk about the food: As a restaurateur myself and therefore quite familiar with good cuisine, I was completely disappointed! Not just the prices... €7.90 for a watered-down leaf salad... extremely small and not even remotely appealing, but also about €25 for a !fried! whole sea bream... the last time I ate that in the Dominican Republic! My companions had the Irish burger... more sauce than anything else, and the Parma ham with olives for a whopping €15... ridiculous portion size... All in all: once and never again! Extremely disappointing and a very, very poor performance!

Our monthly "Pipe Club" meeting was again at RADO am Hafen, across from the fish auction hall, with the usual delicious food and very friendly and attentive service. Our "Hanseatic Pipe Club" meeting was held at the Italian restaurant Rado am Hafen, Große Elbstraße 38, across from the old fish auction hall, serving international cuisine. Direct views of the Elbe River and the shipping traffic from the beautiful summer terrace. A friendly welcome, attentive service, and delicious food.

From the outside it looked nice - but today's windy and rainy weather did not encourage sitting in the garden in front of the restaurant. We went inside and asked if we could take a seat inside. And here's a surprise - a nice place, but the service below any level. Apart from a few sentences in German and an obviously rude tone, I asked for an explanation in English - unfortunately I heard "no" after which the person said he would look away. A person wanted to eat, but was treated like garbage. You could learn from Polish restaurateurs who require the crew to know foreign languages ​​- at least English and German. But I can understand not knowing languages ​​- I do not tolerate the lack of basic culture.

Small, charming, and run with so much love – this restaurant completely captivated me. The owner is not only incredibly personable, but also passionate about his work. The service was attentive, warm, and genuinely interested in making us feel completely at home. You immediately sense that hospitality isn't just a word here, but a lived passion. A place to feel good, enjoy, and return. Absolutely recommend it!

Very tasty food and a very good woman in service, we will come here again

The food was good, but it's the second time we've been there and we have problems with the service. When they brought us the bill, they did not apply the El Tenedor discount to us and, very rudely, the waitress told us that we should have said at the beginning that the reservation was with El Tenedor. When we arrived at the restaurant we had told her, but she claimed that “our level of German would not be good.” If they are going to put so much effort into applying the discount, they better stop promoting themselves in El Tenedor. We left with a very bad feeling and we believe that a client should not be treated like this. We will not return.

All good, but too expensive for the portion size

This was by far the worst restaurant we've ever visited: We booked a table for New Year's Eve 24/25 through The Fork with a 30% discount on à la carte meals. However, they only offered a set menu for €79 per person, so no discount was offered. Since there's practically no way to change restaurants on New Year's Eve, we were stuck there. The menu consisted of three courses: pancakes with salmon and cream cheese, cod with baby leaf spinach and potato granita (the spinach wasn't available!), so we had a vegetable lecho, and for dessert, a cinnamon parfait with prunes... A wafer-thin, completely tasteless pancake with cream cheese straight from the package, without any seasoning or savory preparation. The salmon was edible. Judging by its consistency, the cod must have been frozen; it was also unseasoned and completely tasteless (Captain Iglo, in comparison, is a pure culinary delight), the potato gratin was a pile of fried potatoes topped with cheese, and the leccho was cold and, oh wonder, also completely tasteless. When we asked if we could have a piece of bread, we were told that bread wasn't included in the menu and therefore there wasn't any. In this case, thank goodness, there were ONLY three courses; the cinnamon parfait was a scoop of cinnamon-flavored ice cream, and the prunes were obviously from a can. With the completely overpriced drinks (a small Heinzenberg beer €7, an Aperol Spritzer €15, and a small still water €3.90), the bill came to a whopping €183.90. For comparison, at the neighboring beer bar - Eier Carl - a large beer cost €6.50 and an Aperol for €8.90!!!! The night before, we were at an absolutely fantastic restaurant nearby, the Fischereihafen Restaurant, where we had an excellent à la carte meal and tasted several excellent wines, and the bill came to €140 including tip. To put it mildly, what they offer you for that money is an absolute disgrace, and the scam at The Fork, advertising 30% off à la carte and then only offering a set menu, borders on fraud in my opinion! I'll refrain from commenting on the "friendliness" of the staff!

When you enter the small restaurant, you are greeted by the pungent smell of fish. The open kitchen does not appear to have a working extractor hood. A Labrador was lying in the entrance area and a child was also rolling on the ground. Both belong to the restaurant. The reserved table was only found after repeating our name several times. The wine selection was extremely small. There was no bread, olives or anything like that with the wine. We booked the fish platter for 2 people through Groupon. First came a small salad - nothing special but okay. When serving, the set plates were placed on the window sill and it was noted that you could then take them again for the main course. I've never experienced anything like this before. Totally unprofessional! Then came the fish platter for 2... very poorly stocked: 7 scampis - 3 1/2 pieces per person 2 fish fillets - watery and unseasoned 2 pieces of fish in batter - bland 1 small octopus arm - so just a meager piece per person. Plus 2 small bowls of dip and rosemary potatoes. The potatoes were okay. On the way home we kept burping after eating. Not a good sign! We definitely weren't full and ate some sandwiches at home. The fish platter should cost €80 at its original price and of course discounted accordingly with Groupon. Price-performance an absolute disgrace! We'll never come back!!!

We tried a fish platter for two people, which was originally supposed to cost €80, at a reduced price (€42) via Groupon. On the plate were two breaded pollack fillets, two fish fillets in beer batter, 12 peeled shrimps and an octopus arm about 10 cm in size. The salad wasn't bad and the rosemary potatoes were edible too. Given the quality and quantity of the fish (let alone the alleged €80), there's no way you can get it to cost €40. Glass of wine for around €9 is also very excessive. It's a shame, because Groupon could be used to offer the food for "promotional purposes" so that customers come back. There's no way we're doing it!

Today we happened to be at the port of Hamburg with the family and discovered the Rado restaurant at the port. We were warmly welcomed and ordered burgers, fish & chips and a sea bream. The recommended wine from the Maxim Grünhaus winery was excellent and went very well with it. Overall everything was great and we will definitely come back. Thanks to the great team.

We reserved a table for five people and waited a total of 1.5 hours for our food. My order was the Dry Aged Beef Cheeseburger with fries. A baguette with ketchup, mustard and salsa sauce, meat, tomatoes and a lettuce leaf with fried potatoes arrived after a long wait. The waiter's explanation was: “The fries and the burger buns are empty.” You could hardly eat the baguette because it was too hard and the fried potatoes didn't taste good. While we were paying, another waitress ran to another table with the same orders. With fries on the plates. When we asked, the answer was: "We have just reordered." I didn't know that on a Saturday evening it would be delivered after 5 minutes. In addition, the waitress charged more than we got. It's a real shame because we really expected more for the price.

We reserved a table above “The Fork”. After waiting about 1.5 hours for our food, it unfortunately arrived completely different than stated in the menu and was already cold when it was served. Instead of a burger bun, the burger came with a piece of baguette (?) and ketchup and burger sauce was carelessly slapped on top. Instead of the fries we ordered, fried potatoes came without prior request on the grounds that we had run out of fries. The people who ordered after us got fries (?). Absolutely not recommended for the somewhat high price of the restaurant! The quality of the meat was also not what it said it was on the menu. It's a shame, really underground.

We had reserved a table for 5 people and were given a table outside. Unfortunately it was really cold and it was hard to enjoy it. We were informed while we were ordering that the food would take a little longer. We ended up waiting 1.5 hours. Unfortunately, the food was another disappointment: burgers didn't arrive with the fries we ordered, but with fried potatoes, as the fries would probably be sold out; the truffle pasta tasted like nothing; Spices were not used and much more. We just wanted to leave and pay the bill. Here too the next problem: we were charged for 0.5l drinks instead of 0.3l. While we were trying to pay, other orders with fries suddenly came out... when we mentioned this they said: "they had probably just been delivered." So all in all definitely not recommended!!

A beautiful ambience directly with a view of the port of Hamburg. As happy as we were with the ambience, we were unfortunately dissatisfied with the food and the service. A wait of over an hour with food that we didn't order. When we kindly pointed out that we ordered fries instead of fried potatoes, for example, we were told that they didn't have any left and that there was something else. We would have really liked the service to communicate with us and ask us what we had as an alternative. Instead of burger rolls there was baguette, etc. We were actually really looking forward to the evening in the restaurant at the harbor.

The waitress had pointed out to us that it might take a “bit” longer to eat, but we had to wait a whole hour for our food. We also only got the drinks after 20 minutes. We ordered various burgers with fries. We got the burgers in a baguette bread instead of in a burger bun. Instead of fries we got fried potatoes. When we asked, we were told that the fries had run out. We received no information about the burger buns. But what topped it all off was that guests who arrived later than us received fries with their meal. When asked, only a flimsy excuse came up. This restaurant is not recommended.

Overall it was good. Offering an alcohol-free Aperol Spritz for EUR 12.90 is simply too expensive.

OYSTERS of 6pcs. Oysters was 1pc. spoiled in the smell test. Okay, that's okay. MOULE an olfactory catastrophe! Before the dish reached our table, we had to smell a (real) stench comparable to “cow dung”. When we lifted the plate from the pot, we were hit by an intensely foul-smelling wave. We waved them off, offered to pay but under no circumstances to eat. What motivated us to write this review were the two attempts to sell us the smelly food as “it's fine anyway” and “we've already sold that several times today”. Thanks. No!

I had a very difficult time with this review. We were at Rado with a larger group. The ambience was right, the service and quality of the food were without complaint. The price-performance ratio led to the star deduction. I find an Aperol Spritz for 12.90 to be excessive. Then we got four mixed starter plates, which were also charged at 12.50 per person. It was only after we protested that we were only charged half. And side dishes were also charged per person, even though some people didn't need them. This spoiled the otherwise great atmosphere and the good food. Too bad!

I really loved the Rado restaurant at the harbor in Hamburg! I originally reserved a table for six people on a Friday evening, but due to a spontaneous change of plans we ended up with twelve people. The Rado am Hafen team reacted extremely professionally and flexibly to the change and was able to accommodate us without any problems. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the evening a completely successful experience. The food was also excellent. The restaurant's international cuisine offers a wide range of delicious dishes. The location directly at the fish market and the view of the Elbe create a unique atmosphere that excites both locals and visitors. An additional plus point: The restaurant can be easily reached by ferry from the Landungsbrücken, which offers an additional highlight for the evening. A big thank you to the boss and the entire team for this unforgettable evening. Every one of my guests had a lot of fun and we will definitely come back. For me, the Rado am Hafen is a real insider tip in Hamburg!

The restaurant offered reservations until 10:45 p.m. We booked for 10:15pm but were turned down by a very unpleasant waitress, even though we were traveling with two small children and stopping in Hamburg after an 8 hour drive. I cannot recommend this restaurant at all

Die neue Outdoor-Lounge mit direktem Elbblick ist perfekt für einen Sundowner. Die Loungemöbel von Fatboy laden zum chillen ein und machen den Abend zu einem tollen Erlebnis.

Nice restaurant almost right on the water. Ambience is nice, staff is nice and the food is delicious. We actually just wanted to come over for a glass of wine and ended up staying for food and several drinks because we felt so comfortable. Anyone who likes oysters is also very welcome here. We bought a voucher for a fish platter for 2 people via Groupon, price 44.90 instead of the original price of 63.30 euros, and redeemed it there. The "fish platter" was a plate with 2 small fried fish, 1 mini piece of salmon, 1 octopus arm and 6 small dry shrimps. Very manageable for 2 people at the steep price. Side dishes were fries and 1 small, carelessly prepared salad per person. The taste of the food was ok but at the level of a chip shop. We made a reservation and when we arrived the food was on the table within 5 minutes. It was not possible to order an appetizer in advance. We've never had a bad experience with Groupon, but this was a complete rip-off.

Wir waren gestern im Rado , wir hatten reserviert, der Tisch war trotzdem nicht sauber . Die Getränkebestellung wurde erst nach fünfzehn Minuten aufgenommen , die Essenbestellung erst nach 30 Minuten später . Wir hatten unter anderem die Garnelen, die mehr als tot gebraten und lieblos angerichtet wurden . Wir hatten einen Burger, der mehr als Schuhsohle war, eine Rinderroulade, die bestimmt schon länger - oder schon wirklich lange - in der Pfanne lag, sowie ein Thunfischfillet, das auch komplett durchgebraten war. Trotz allem hätten wir gerne Nachtisch bestellt, aber die Bedienung kam einfach nicht mehr zu uns, somit gehen wir mit einem unzufrieden Abend nach Hause und kommen auch nicht wieder . Essen gut, Service grottenschlecht: - Bier war warm - Falschen Burger serviert inkl. harter Knorpel im Speck - Messer war verschmutzt - Getrennte Rechnung war nur auf 2malige Nachfrage möglich und wurde danach mit Handy von der Kellnerin (falsch!) gerechnet - Auf der Rechnung war jede Position mit "diverse Getränke" aufgelistet, man wusste also nicht einmal, was man genau bezahlt. - Kellnerin wollte den teureren Burger verrechnen, obwohl dieser nicht bestellt wurde. - Kellnerin hatte kein Wechselgeld, worauf sie zum Chef ging und dieser 5€ in Münzen aus der Hosentasche zauberte. - Bei den Fenstern waren Spinnenweben und am Tisch Brösel. - Während des Besuchs wurden ständig Sesseln hin und her geräumt. - Wir wurden während des Essens gestört, da der Schalter für den Heizstrahler der Terrasse hinter unserem Tisch war. - Der Chef ist mit einem Freund 2 Tische weiter gesessen und hat anscheiend über die Geschäftszahlen diskutiert und mit der Kellnerin zwischendurch Inventur gemacht und quer durch den Raum gesprochen. Für ein Getränk auf der Terrasse vermutlich gut zu empfehlen, für ein gemütliches Abendessen eher weniger. Die Kellnerin war maßlos überfordert und hat sogar selbst gekocht. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste, die Essen bestellt hatten. Nicht auszumalen, wie das Ganze abgelaufen wäre, hätten mehrere Gäste gleichzeitig essen bestellt. Für diesen schlechten Service außerhalb ziemlich stolze Preise (Fish&Chips 16,90€, Cheeseburger ohne Pommes 14,90€)

Wir haben spontan eine schöne Fischgaststätte gesucht und sie hier gefunden. Im Außenbereich der Gaststätte sitzt man gegenüber der Fischauktionshalle und hat einen tollen Blick zur Elbe. Wir wurden sehr freundlich und kompetent bedient und das Essen war super lecker. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden, wenn wir das nächste Mal in Hamburg sind, auf jeden Fall wieder hier einkehren.

Wir waren Mitte Juni vor Ort und haben draußen gegessen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Essen hat geschmeckt in schöner Atmosphäre. Bedienung war freundlich. Ich hatte Fish und Chips gegessen.

Tolles Lokal mit geschütztem Außenbereich direkt an der Fischhalle mit wunderbarem Essen & einem sehr freundlichem Chef! Die getrüffelten Tagliatelle waren ein Traum, die Austern fein und frisch. Leider haben wir es während unserer Hamburg-Tage kein zweites Mal mit der Familie ins RADO am Hafen geschafft, können dieses Restaurant aber wärmstens weiterempfehlen und kommen beim nächsten Hamburg-Besuch ganz bestimmt wieder!

Gute Tagesgerichte, aufmerksamer Service, nur die Getränke sind etwas teuer. Direkt an der großen Elbestraße gelegen, daher etwas lauter, wenn man draußen sitzt.

Sehr lecker gegessen, leider räumt der Service den Tisch obwohl noch ein Gast gegessen hat... und einen Absacker nach Zahlung der Rechnung gab es auch nicht. Schade hier wurde einiges verkehrt gemacht. Wir werden Rado erneut mit unseren 35tsd Followern testen und gerne alles berichten. Irgendwie hatten wir etwas mehr erwartet. Unser erstes Mal in Hamburg gewesen, über Google auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen sind sehr zufrieden und empfehlen es auf jeden Fall weiter. Der Service war gut und schnell. Das Essen kam relativ fix. War auch extrem lecker. Steak genau so wie es sein sollte! Sehr nette Bedienung! Wir kommen wieder!

… Immer entspannt, perfekt für einen entspannten Nachmittag oder Abend im Hafen. Und irgendwas Besonderes passiert immer, entweder schlumberger sablieren (Siege Video), oder Flammlachs oder der Oyster King aus Dänemark ist da, immer eine Freude! Was noch als Besonderheit hervorzuheben ist, der Besitzer ist herzlich und immer gut gelaunt, und hat ein Händchen was Personal angeht.

Sehr nettes Restaurant an der Elbe. Wir haben sehr schön draußen gesessen. Highlight am Samstagnachmittag der flambierte Lachs.

Ich würde es in die Kategorie szenelocal packen. Bei Wind und so draußen bißchen frisch, ich hätte viel lieber drin gesessen, aber das Ambiente mit dem Feuer, Heizstrahler und Decken sehr nett. Konnte man draußen aushalten. Sehr leckeres Essen. Preise sind deftig finde ich.

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis angemessen. Die Speisekarte muss über einen QR-Code runtergeladen werden, leider war diese Funktion mit unseren Handys nicht möglich. Die Servicekraft bot uns dann ihr privates Handy an, damit wir bestellen konnten. Das hatte leider nicht viel mit Gemütlichkeit zu tun. Dafür einen Stern abgezogen. Alkoholfreie Cocktails wie auf der Karte deklariert !!! wären "nicht populär" nach Aussage der Servicekraft, daher würden auch keine mehr angeboten. Dafür noch einen Stern abgezogen. Die Speisen waren dennoch sehr gut und schnell zubereitet.

Wenn man sich Seafood und Burger als Untertitel nennt und lauter gezeichnete Hummer an der Wand sind, dann ist man irgendwie schon enttäuscht, wie klein die Auswahl Seafood in der Karte ist und vor allem: es gibt trotz Nähe zum Fischmarkt (sowohl der sonntägliche „Markt“, als auch zu den Großhändlern) keinen Hummer. Der Fischburger war schon sehr gut - auf jeden Fall besser als die lokalen als auch überregionalen Ketten. Sehr freundliches Personal. Draußen sieht es nett aus, aber nicht unbedingt so warm, um bei kühlerem Wetter nett zu sitzen.

Ich bin immer gern nach einem elbspaziergang bei Rado am Hafen. Meine Kids. Meine Freunde. Alle lieben es. Kann ich nur jedem empfehlen!

Neither the burgers nor the seafood dishes were particularly mindblowing. Too much or too little seasoning. Staff was friendly and relatively attentitive, but the ambience with loud lounge music a bit unpleasant. Other restaurants in the area are better, especially at that price.

Wir waren abends mit Freunden dort. Es war wenig besucht. Das Essen kam schnell, aber die Preise sind zu hoch im Verhältnis zur Leistung. Das Wiener Schnitzel war recht hart und mit 16,90 ohne Beilage hoch im Preis, weil Pommes extra berechnet wurden (plus 2,90), was ungewöhnlich ist und nicht erwähnt wurde. Dann ein alkoholfreies Hefeweizen für 5,50€ dazu ist schon sehr sportlich. Wie gesagt: der Preis ist nicht ausschlaggebend, aber die Qualität muss dann stimmen.

Perfektes Essen und Restaurant. Nette Mitarbeitern und gutes service. Schöne Ausblick von Hafen. Ich empfehle alle dieses Restaurant :)

Wir waren zu zweit beim Essen. Saßen im Freien. Essen war gut, Preis Leistung in Ordnung. Keine allzu große Speisekarte. Muss auch nicht sein! Lieber kleiner und Qualität passt!
