Absolutely wonderful food. I was missing the Cola on the menu. Otherwise everything was great, food was delicious! Service great!

Unfortunately, I have a very mixed impression after visiting the restaurant. Khachapuri Adjaruli were overall tasty. Unfortunately the cheese had too little acid. The two pieces of butter were too much for the mixture. For €16, the three Khatschapuri were also a bit too small. The beetroot salad was tasty, but overpriced. The shish kebab meat was sliced ​​too thin, so it was dry and overcooked. Some of the pork had a lot of fat, which didn't taste good. But the potatoes and sauces that were served with shish kebab were very tasty. The service was nice, but seemed very stressed and rushed. An order (shashlik) came wrong and we had to wait a long time for the new dish. The atmosphere is relaxed. The furnishings are rather sparse and the tables are close together. Unfortunately I don't think the prices are justified. There were cheap napkins and plates at the tables. Given the price level, I definitely have different expectations. A visit to the Qvevri restaurant left two impressions. Let's start with the positives. The dishes, or rather the lamb shish kebab, were really tasty and well prepared. The meat was juicy, tender and perfectly seasoned, making the meal a real pleasure. However, not all dishes were up to par. The salad that was served to us was very salty, which significantly spoiled the impression of the meal. This clearly indicates problems with the quality of preparation of some dishes. As for the atmosphere, the restaurant did not at all create the feeling that you were in a real Georgian establishment. The interior and general atmosphere did not convey the flavor of Georgian culture and traditions, which is what you expect from such a place. The issue of price deserves special attention. The restaurant is in the high price category, which is likely due to low traffic. On Friday evening there were only three tables occupied, which indicates a lack of interest from customers. The service also leaves much to be desired. The waitress was not tactful and tolerant enough, which further darkened the overall impression of the visit. To summarize, I can say that the 100 km trip to the Qvevri restaurant turned out to be unjustified. Despite the delicious kebab, shortcomings in the quality of other dishes, the lack of an authentic atmosphere and high prices make this restaurant a place that I can confidently say I will not visit again.

I ate well and was served very friendly. Not exactly cheap but definitely fresh. The map contains interesting information about Georgia and the wine culture there, but the interior design could also go a little more in this direction.

Unfortunately, this culinary excursion was not a delight. We tried a Georgian specialty and ordered shashlik - whether lamb, veal or pork, everyone had probably had a particularly dry day. Maybe the chef was just going through a challenging phase, but the preparation lacked a little love. The veal was also a delicate work of art that was more reminiscent of a veal schnitzel. At least, the fries were excellent and the white and red sauce were convincing. I'd rather not say too much about the salad. It's a shame, because this dish had the potential to delight us. Maybe you should adjust your expectations at a price of 20 euros plus X. But then you should also use the word “specialties” a little more carefully. Therefore, unfortunately only 2 stars - the fries saved the evening a little.

Nachdem ich die georgische Küche im Ausland kennengelernt hatte, wollte ich das gemeinsam mit meiner Frau auch hier vor Ort probieren. So viel Auswahl gibt es momentan ja noch nicht. Lage und Ambiente des Qvevri in Solingen sind okay. Das Essen war sehr gut und der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Als Getränk gibt es z.B. original georgische Estragon-Limonade.

We chose this restaurant based on its good rating here on Google. The waiter was friendly, the food was brought to our table quickly, but we didn't think the price was worth it. My partner and I each had the rice dishes Chashushuli (veal with rice) and Chkmeruli chicken with rice. The portion was really small, the meat bowl was as big as the rice bowl. The meat (veal) was tough and not juicy. The sauce was very watery and tasteless. I then tried my partner's food and it tasted very similar. After serving, the waiter didn't come back to check on us, even though the place was empty, our drinks were empty and so was the rice, because there was very little. No glass was served with the beer and the plates were cheap Ikea plates like in a snack bar. For the price you would expect somewhat higher quality products. We were very disappointed and won't be coming back

When we entered the Georgian restaurant Qvevri in Solingen, we were immediately greeted by its inviting design and warm atmosphere. The interior was lovingly decorated with traditional Georgian features giving an authentic experience. The service was outstanding, the staff were attentive and friendly, and we felt well looked after throughout the entire visit. And were also invited to delicious Georgian wine. As far as the food is concerned, our expectations were exceeded. Every bite was a taste experience and reflected Georgia's rich culinary tradition. From the succulent meat dishes to the delicious vegetarian options, there was something for everyone. “Ideal for beginners to Georgian cuisine” There were three of us there and we enjoyed every moment of our evening. We can only warmly recommend this restaurant and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Very tasty, simply incredible! Of all the Georgian restaurants in NRW, Qvevri comes first 🥇The meat is delicious, I tried khinkali with mushrooms for the first time, I really liked it. But the most important thing is the service, the staff is very polite and accommodating, we were treated to red homemade Georgian wine and adjika. The food is very tasty. There are delicious lemonades (like in childhood). A quiet, peaceful place where you can sit in a close circle. But not all dishes indicate the type of meat/ingredients. When clarifying, the incorrect information was voiced that the meat was beef; in my case, I do not eat pork due to religious beliefs. After eating it, the waiter said it was beef and pork. This ruined the mood for more than just me... so be careful. Otherwise, a very good place.

First the positive: Very friendly service, very tasty food. The Georgian beer was also worth trying. The atmosphere is a bit too sterile. The music is unnecessarily modern and sometimes a bit too loud for my taste. And the menu was a bit chaotic: on the paper menu there were quite a few dishes marked “not available”. Reference was made to the online map. Unfortunately, not every dish was available. There is still room for improvement. But what came to the table was really good. Particularly noteworthy is the fruity tomato sauce with a hint of coriander for the chicken shish kebab. What remains incomprehensible to me is the extremely high price for the cheese bread compared to the sumptuous main courses. Overall, definitely worth a visit.

We had a really good meal in the cozy little restaurant at the back of the main station. The shish kebab was very nicely prepared and a good portion. Service is top! The quick instructions for traditional consumption of Georgian specialties are also nice.

I didn't like everything except the meat pie. 1) Service: the girl was very unfriendly and sad. I don’t know what happened, but this view immediately spoils my mood. We are guests and we want at least a smile on the waitress’s face, because this is normal! 2) Devices: forks are the cheapest, they bend! I've never seen anything like this before! Plates from IKEA are also the cheapest. It seems that they want to save money on everything and this does not make you feel good. From the photographs it seems that the cafe is atmospheric and cozy, but this is not at all the case. 3) Food: We ordered pork kebab, I was very hungry, but I couldn’t eat more than 1.5 pieces. It seems that the meat was left in the marinade for a very long time and then some spices were added to it to remove the smell of stale meat. I called the waitress to ask what was wrong with the meat. It's impossible to eat. But I was not offered anything, neither to change the dish nor not to add it to the bill. I really wanted to support the new cafe and the guys who opened it. But with food, service and attitude like this, sorry, but no! Things won't work out. We have been to other restaurants serving Georgian cuisine and this one is very inferior. We will never come here again. I give 1 star for the meat pie.

The handwritten menu we received had no dessert menu and very limited drinks on offer. Food was nothing special at that price. Definitely not going back, nor recommending to anyone.

Ein tolles neueres Lokal in SG. Traditionelle Georgische Küche zu einem fairen Preis und Service. Absolut empfehlenswert etwas neues und nicht gängiges auszuprobieren.

Wir waren sehr neugierig wie dieses Restaurant ist, da wir die georgische Küche kennen uns sehr mögen. Das Ambiente war weniger gemütlich. Die Kellnerin war nicht sonderlich freundlich. War eher drüsch. Das Essen war sehr fad, wir mussten nachwürzen. Das Essen hat nach nichts geschmeckt. Für den Preis haben wir viel mehr erwartet. Wir waren froh, dass wir zu zweit da waren und nicht mit der ganzen Familie, wie wir das ursprünglich vor hatten. Dafür wäre das Geld zu schade gewesen.

Ich kann wirklich nicht verstehen woher die guten Bewertungen kommen. Trotz Reservierung hatte man keinen Platz für uns es wurden sogar noch Leute vorgezogen die keine Reservierung hatten weil es anscheinend eine größere Gruppe war als die unsere. Die Portionen sind eher klein dafür aber extrem teuer nachdem was wir auf den Tellern der anwesenden Gäste gesehen haben. Nach 10 Minuten warten hat man uns angeboten draußen auf der Straße zu sitzen, was wir natürlich danken abgelehnt haben so bleibt von diesem Abend nur der Gestank in unserer Kleidung von der Küche. Ich verstehe wirklich nicht den um von der Rheinischen Post und vom Solinger Tageblatt befeuert und Hype um diesen Laden. PS Vorsichtig vor den vielen guten Rezensionen, viele beziehen sich auf den Donut-Laden der hier vorher drin war😉

Wir haben letzte Woche ein Geschäftsessen in der Lokalität gehabt. Alle waren begeistert von der freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Bedienung, dem frischen und leckeren Essen und der angenehmen Atmosphäre. Wir werden in Zukunft regelmäßig wiederkommen!

Trotz Reservierung bekamen wir zu zweit keinen Platz, eine Vierergruppe die Minuten nach uns eintraf bekam aber ohne Reservierung einen gerade frei werden Tisch. Klar, mit 4 verdient man mehr als mit 2. 😡 Uns bot man bei 19 Grad, Nieselregen im Hauseingang zwischen Restaurant und Fußpflege zu sitzen. Danke nein, so bleibt von diesem Abend nur der penetrante Küchengeruch in der Kleidung. PS Vorsichtig vor den vielen guten Rezensionen, viele beziehen sich auf den Donut-Laden der hier vorher drin war😉

Leckeres Essen mit toller aufmerksamer Bedienung. Jederzeit wieder. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Und es sind Interessante Gewürze.

Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung für das georgische Restaurant Quevri. Das Essen wird von jemandem gekocht die es liebt, gutes Essen herzustellen. Wir waren rundum zufrieden, die Portionen angenehm, keine überfüllten Teller, ansprechend angerichtet, sehr sehr lecker, der Service erklärt gerne was die einzelnen Gerichte sind. Eine Karte mit georgischen Weinen rundet den Abend ab. Wir kommen sicher wieder und empfehlen das Restaurant weiter.

Das Lenneper Weinfest war für uns ins Wasser gefallen und so sollte schnell eine schöne Alternative für den Abend gefunden werden. Der Liebste meinte, dass wir doch das erst kürzlich eröffnete Restaurant mit georgischer Küche einmal ausprobieren sollten. Gesagt, getan! Eine sehr kurzfristige telefonische Reservierung erwies sich als problemlos, die weibliche Stimme am anderen Ende der Leitung klang verhalten freundlich und etwas unsicher. Überrascht waren wir von den Räumlichkeiten im Bistro-Stil, ein kurzer Blick auf die gut gestaltete Website hatte uns einen etwas anderen Eindruck vermittelt, unter anderem auch aufgrund der preislichen Gestaltung. Derart schlichtes Interieur und eine wenig ansprechende Tischkultur (sehr einfaches Geschirr, Ikea-Gläser und selbstgeschriebene Schilder) hatten wir nicht erwartet, die sehr grelle Beleuchtung tat ihr übriges. Gemütlichkeit sieht für uns anders aus. Nun, Facebook bietet inzwischen ein paar detailliertere Eindrücke. Unser Platz auf der Empore an der Fensterfront erwies sich auch nicht als sonderlich günstig, während unseres gesamten Aufenthaltes hatten wir ständig rauchende Gäste einer größeren Gesellschaft quasi direkt neben uns. Das laste ich den Gastronomen natürlich nicht an, aber ein später eintreffendes Paar hatte mit dem Vierertisch am Ende des Gastraumes mehr Glück. Die Speisekarte präsentierte sich in Form von losen, zusammengetackerten Blättern, die Auswahl eigentlich recht ansprechend, zwei Positionen waren aber nicht mehr verfügbar. Wir wählten 3 Gerichte zum Teilen, um gegebenenfalls später nachzubestellen, darauf haben wir letztendlich aber verzichtet. Nicht weil wir satt waren, sondern weil die Küchenleistung für uns überwiegend nicht stimmig war. Als ersten Gang probierten wir Badrijani, das waren gegrillte Auberginen mit Nüssen, Knoblauch, georgischen Gewürzen und Granatapfelkernen. Unsere beste Wahl, gut gefallen hat uns die leicht aromatische Nusspaste zu den recht dünnen Streifen von der Aubergine. Den Preis von 12,- € für 5 kleine Appetithäppchen halte ich aber für mehr als überzogen. Insbesondere wenn ich an einen hervorragenden Vorspeisenteller (11,50€) in einem meiner Lieblingsrestaurants in Solingen denke, war das hier Gebotene dagegen sehr bescheiden. Zwischenzeitlich wurden wir gefragt, ob wir etwas Brot zu den Speisen möchten, bekommen haben wir ein paar Stückchen altbackenes, trockenes Fladenbrot. Olivenöl gab es nicht. Eine Pfeffermühle kannte man auch nicht. Zeichensprache war an dieser Stelle ganz nützlich, aber schließlich brachte uns die Servicedame - anscheinend die Inhaberin - nur einer Streuer mit diesem unsäglichen Pfefferpulver. Dies aber nur am Rande zum Thema „falsche Erwartungen“. Weiter ging es mit zwei gefüllten Kohlrouladen, die größtenteils mit Reis gefüllt waren, das angekündigte Hackfleisch war nur in homöopathischen Dosen vorhanden, quasi kleine Globuli, die man suchen musste. Insgesamt sehr gewürzarm und geschmacklich völlig unauffällig. Exakt dieses Gericht habe ich einmal mit würzigem Hackfleisch in „gut gemacht“ im privaten Umfeld gegessen, ein Genuss im Vergleich zu dieser faden Variante. Als Hauptgang hatten wir einen Schaschlik (22,-€) nach georgischer Art vom Kalb (Lamm war neben den bereits erwähnten zwei Gerichten auch aus), das gewürzarme Fleisch hatte wenig Röstaromen und georgische Gewürze scheinen nur aus Salz, Pfeffer und etwas Paprika zu bestehen. Dazu gab es recht trockene TK-Fritten und einen sehr kleinen gewürzarmen Salat, einzig die Saucen (Tomate und Knoblauch) brachten etwas Geschmack. Die auf der Website versprochenen Geschmacksexplosionen haben wir leider nicht wahrnehmen können. Schade! Vielleicht hätte der nicht mehr verfügbare Lammeintopf einen besseren Einblick in die georgische Küche geboten?! Toleranz ist für mich in der heutigen Zeit wichtiger denn je, ich übe mich tagtäglich darin, andere Kulturen zu verstehen und zu akzeptieren. Auch kenne ich persönlich Familien mit osteuropäischen Wurzeln und ich weiß natürlich, dass die Familie ganz, ganz groß geschrieben wird. Andererseits frage ich mich, ob es in einem gastronomischen Betrieb unbedingt sinnvoll ist, ein älteres Familienmitglied mit der Kinderbetreuung zu beauftragen. Die recht finster dreinblickende Dame schlurfte zudem zur Belustigung anderer Gäste gelegentlich durch den Gastraum. Auch hätten wir hier keine usselige Spielecke erwartet. Wie schon erwähnt, anscheinend hatten wir ganz andere Vorstellungen. Die größere Gesellschaft feierte einen 50. Geburtstag mit zeitweise schrillem Gesang einer Gästin. Das war ganz nett! Anfangs hatte ich vermutet, dass die Gastronomen womöglich Quereinsteiger sind. Mittlerweile weiß ich aber, dass man bereits ein Restaurant in der Ukraine betrieben hat. Sprachliche Barrieren werden bestimmt irgendwann Geschichte sein und so wird der Service dann auch sicherer und routinierter agieren. Selten habe ich mit mir so gerungen, eine Bewertung zu schreiben. Aber womöglich mag der Blick durch die Gastbrille für den/die Inhaber* doch ganz interessant sein. Auch ist ein Restaurantbesuch immer eine Momentaufnahme. Wir werden die georgische Küche bei Gelegenheit gerne nochmal ausprobieren, im Qvevri passte das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis für uns leider nicht. Die Portionen sind gemessen am Preis recht überschaubar und geschmacklich konnte man uns leider nicht überzeugen. 2,5 Punkte gerundet auf 3!

Das Restaurant hat ganz aktuell in Solingen-Ohligs eröffnet und bietet georgische (und ukrainische) Spezialitäten. Die Inhaber sind außerordentlich nett und zuvorkommend, das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker. Deshalb spreche ich dem "Qvevri" eine klare Empfehlung aus! Für Solingen eine echte gastronomische und kulinarische Bereicherung!

Ein sehr gepflegtes Restaurant. Wir haben „leider“ nur kalte und warme Vorspeisen nehmen können, da wir als Vegetarier keines der (sehr wahrscheinlich) sehr leckeren Gulaschs essen wollten. Die Vorspeisen waren aber Top und es stehen noch 3 oder vier weitere vegetarische Vorspeisen auf dem Menü, die wir noch probieren wollen. Wir hatten zu zweit 3 Vorspeisen, die uns sehr satt gemacht haben. Die Betreiber waren wirklich sehr freundlich. Wir werden sicher wiederkommen und weiteres probieren.

Super Lecker das Gericht: "Chashushuli mit Reis". Die Dame ist ebenfalls sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Ich komme gern wieder!☺

Ich schätze die georgische Küche sehr- frisch, mit vielen Gewürzen, einfach lecker! Das Restaurant ist klein und liebevoll eingerichtet, das Essen war mega, die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam und nett- eine klare Empfehlung und ein Gewinn für Solingen 👍

Ich esse generell sehr gerne georgisches Essen und als ich nach einem georgischen Restaurant in dem Region gesucht habe, fand ich Qvevri. Ich war mit meinem Besuch sehr zufrieden. Nettes Lokal, Chahobili war sehr lecker, werde beim nächsten mal gerne Khachapuri probieren. Zuerst dachte ich, dass die Portion etwas klein ist, aber am Ende war ich schon satt.

Das Restaurant hat gerade erst eröffnet und würde sehr schön gestaltet. Die Inhaberinnen sind sehr freundlich und das Essen kommt von Herzen. Es gibt typisch georgische und ein paar ukrainische Gerichte, die frisch und lecker zubereitet werden. Auf der Speisekarte sind auch genug vegane und vegetarische Speisen vorhanden, zum Beispiel haben uns die kalten Vorspeisen mit Auberginen sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir können das Qvevri besten Gewissens weiterempfehlen ☺️
