The all-you-can-eat spare rib buffet on Thursdays is pure bliss on a plate! The ribs are so tender they practically fall off the bone, and with the sauces, salads, and fries, you'll feel like you're in BBQ heaven. The only downside: the trip from Oldenburg is too far… or maybe just right, so you don't end up in a food coma every Thursday. 😄 Highly recommended!

This was our fourth visit to this restaurant, and once again, almost everything was perfect. The service, the food, and the ambiance were all excellent. Although the restaurant was very busy, we didn't have to wait long for either our drinks or our food. The only downside, which slightly marred the visit, was the renewed price increase. Charging more than €35 for a good steak is quite expensive. Even in Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, or Essen, we don't pay as much for a good T-bone steak as we do at Queen of Texas. But everyone has to decide that for themselves. All in all, it was another lovely evening.

We were there for the first time on a Friday. The place was packed to the brim and the atmosphere was correspondingly loud. I'm used to quieter restaurants but this is probably just a different kind of restaurant. The service was friendly and quick. The food was delicious and the steak was cooked to perfection 👍 I only have two criticisms. Unfortunately, the vegetables I fried were very fatty so that oil ended up at the bottom of the dish. The steak butter in the black pot is very tasty but a bit awkward to get out because the pot kept tipping over whenever you wanted to take some. It was a bit awkward. As far as I'm concerned, the butter could have been put on the steak or on a small plate. Bonus point for spacious tables. I've had a completely different experience at other restaurants.

I'm really angry and disappointed with Queen of Texas. I actually had positive memories of the restaurant from the past, but this visit was an absolute disaster – and that with a bill of over €250 for 6 people! The prices have increased massively, but the quality has plummeted. A "tomato salad" consisted of just one sliced ​​tomato with a few onion rings – for over €7! The finger food tasted like cheap frozen food. And the absolute no-go: I ordered two desserts, and the fruit in both was spoiled. That just shouldn't happen. The portions were small, far too expensive, and nothing about them seemed authentic or made with love. For that amount of money, I would have expected much better quality. Instead, you just feel like you've been ripped off. The only positive thing was the ambiance and the very friendly service – but even that can't redeem the bad experience. The bottom line: It used to be good, but now it's just overpriced and disappointing. This will definitely be my last visit!

We went to the "Queen of Texas" yesterday for our anniversary and were thrilled with the food. We had spare ribs and chicken wings, each with a side dish. It was perfectly prepared and both tasted delicious. My side dish came with fries instead of potato wedges, but that wasn't a big deal. Otherwise, the service was really pleasant and not unnecessarily intrusive. There was a free appetizer of bread and dip. The menu was extensive, but you weren't overwhelmed. The wait was perfectly fine despite it being a bit busier, and I really liked the ambiance. A restaurant right on the water makes quite an impression, plus the large windows. You almost felt like you were sitting outside, yet it was still very cozy and thematically appropriate. The dishes are relatively expensive, but, at least in our case, they were worth the money.

The ambiance was nice, the service friendly, but I imagined the food to be different. It was too German for me. Those looking for something more authentic and homemade might want to look elsewhere.

The American steakhouse is a successful dining experience that is second to none. From delicious, juicy spare ribs to various superbly prepared steaks with the desired side dishes, the palate will find its delight. The inventory is excellently modeled on the Mexican-Texan flair, a feast for the eyes for everyone. The extremely charming and friendly servers help you choose or put together individual side dishes. The furniture is based on the South American theme and also helps you to beam yourself to South America while eating. Barrier-free free parking spaces are available in the surrounding area. Also worth mentioning are wonderful outdoor seating areas with a view of the lake and the boats. All in all, I give it 5 stars.

We were there again after a long time on the occasion of our anniversary. I think it's clear to everyone that most prices have risen in recent years, but if the price-performance ratio is right, people are happy to pay more. However, it wasn't the case here. Before you even get your food, you get two small rolls with steak butter (?). The rolls were somewhat crispy, but unfortunately the butter was a bit bland. Years ago there was a bowl of peanuts beforehand. Why not anymore? As a starter we ordered the nachos, once with cheese dip and once with salsa. The nachos were a little warm at first, but cooled down relatively quickly. The dips were great. Before we had the main course, we were served a kidney bean salad. They probably only had canned kidney beans mixed with a few fresh onions and Sylter dressing. As main courses we had the meat skewer and the meat and fish skewer. In both cases the meat was only lukewarm, and unfortunately the dips that came with it didn't taste good at all. In addition, the pork was sometimes really tough and dry. The side dishes (the baked potato and mushrooms) were only half convincing. For a price of around €35 ​​per main course, you would actually expect more. The desserts (brownie and nut sundae) were ok. But now the awesome thing about the drinks: A Pepsi Light 0.3L for €4.10! A ginger ale 0.2L for €4.10! A dark Hefeweizen 0.5L for €6.10! The prices are really steep. All in all we paid almost €120 for two people. Unfortunately, the quality of the food does not justify these prices at all. You can eat much cheaper and better food in other steakhouses. The only plus point, hence 3 stars: the service was very nice and accommodating, even the Pepsi that was initially forgotten was delivered super quickly with a sincere apology. Conclusion: We wanted to try it there again, unfortunately it wasn't worth it and we probably won't come back, although the service and ambience are very pleasant.

After more than ten years I (we) were there again and was disappointed. Four of us came on a Sunday evening. The ambience is still nice. When it comes to the furnishings and design, every effort has been made to bring Texan and Mexican influences to northwest Germany. That was it for the positive list. The service was rushed, but I don't want to criticize it because it probably can't help with the understaffed staff planning. We had burgers, a plate of various meat and potatoes, penne with chicken and the "John Wayne Steak" with potato wedges. I ordered the mixed salad with my dish but got the bean salad. Okay, it can happen... The salad was okay but bland. At the entrance to the restaurant there is a large table with salad pots whose cooling leaves something to be desired. The waitresses use this to make the salad. It is not made fresh per person. That would be perfectly fine for a snack. But for this price? I beg you...! The food came quickly, but the quality of the meat leaves a lot to be desired and is unreasonable considering the price. The fries on the burger had little to no salt. The burger meat wasn't warm enough. My potato wedges were also quite tasteless and deserved more seasoning. The rest was okay, but not anymore. If we had paid 10-15 EUR less per dish for all the dishes, I wouldn't have anything to complain about. A rather average "John Wayne steak" 300g for 36 EUR with fake salad and potato wedges that probably tasted like they came from the package? That doesn't fit, dear restaurant management! The price-performance ratio is not right! Especially when you compare it to other restaurants in the area. The "Kotanyi" (brand) salt and pepper mill from the supermarket fits on the table instead of an attractive stainless steel shaker or something similar. Completely fine in the snack bar. But in a restaurant where the eye eats? In this respect, I cannot understand the good to very good reviews and will not be coming back.

Ein tolles Restaurant im Western Style, in dem ganz viele Gäste sich offenbar wohl fühlten. Ohne Reservierung geht wohl eher selten etwas mit einem spontanen Besuch. Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und an unseren Tisch geleitet. Die Tatsache, dass das Haus voll war, führte dazu, dass die Getränkebestellung leicht verzögert möglich gemacht wurde...aber immer sehr freundlich. Die Essensbestellung folgte dann auch bald. Alle hatten ausreichend Zeit, sich ihr Wunschmenü auszusuchen. Die gelieferten Portionen sind schon beeindruckend und auch für gute Esser ausreichend. Ich hatte den Eindruck, dass die eingesetzten Lebensmittel auch qualitativ gut waren; geschmacklich gab es in keinem Fall etwas zu meckern. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant ist wohl als urig zu bezeichnen, einziger kleiner Nachteil ist, das es wegen der vielen Gäste und der Größe des Raumes recht laut ist. Darüber sind wir aber gut weggekommen und haben uns in eigene Unterhaltungen vertieft. Wir wollen gerne noch einmal wieder zu Gast sein.

I travel a lot in Germany for work, Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, etc. Now vacation in Willingen, where everything revolves around tourists and the prices are a bit more expensive, but the prices I've seen here are not worth it at all! This is absolutely not suited to the surroundings or ambience. Beer at prices almost like those at Oktoberfest and I'd rather not say anything about the food, just take a look on the website, 200g steak for a price for which I can get almost two elsewhere. It is also impossible for a 7-year-old child to be brought last in a group of 13 people with a waiting time. Then you look disappointed. But the laughter came when the drink was brought to her because she was able to swim in the huge glass of iced tea. It was probably thanks to Bor that he thought about it. I can't believe it again.

The best thing about this restaurant is actually the wait staff, who score points with their friendliness and appealing demeanor. But that's not nearly enough to justify the poor quality of the food. No matter which dish you choose, it seems certain that you will be served overpriced mass-produced food. A rump steak weighing just 100 grams for almost 30 euros or four pieces of breaded chicken breast for 20 euros, which look as if they came straight from the supermarket shelf, speak for themselves. The hamburger for 20 euros is particularly incomprehensible, as it has nothing to do with a real American-style burger in terms of appearance or taste. The meat appears pressed and tastes just as bland as it looks. At the end of the evening we paid almost 230 euros for four main courses, starters and some drinks - an absolute disgrace. What's even more serious, however, was that we all felt sick after eating. It seems like prepared foods are sold as specialties here. The steak for 36 euros came with a sauce that was inedible, and the finger food was more reminiscent of frozen food from the supermarket. Disgraceful and disgusting. Conclusion: Once and never again. High prices and poor quality – anyone hoping for real American cuisine will be bitterly disappointed here.
