Good Asian restaurant. The service was very quick and friendly. We were able to sit outside and enjoy dinner. The menu offers a lot of choice and the dishes we had were very good. Absolutely recommended.

We are guests here often, the food comes quickly and is freshly prepared. The Vietnamese spring rolls and the papaya salad are very tasty as starters. The service is really friendly and you can even end up with a fruit brandy on the house. Update August 2024: Apparently something has changed here. Unfortunately it doesn't taste as good as it used to.

Unfortunately, the change of ownership didn't do any good here. The traditional soup was very watery and unimaginative, like the machitos. Savings are being made at the wrong end here, which is a shame because the competition is fierce.

Quan Van has developed from an insider tip to an absolute must-visit and this recognition is more than deserved. Everything is just right here: the food is always fresh and incredibly tasty, a real treat for the palate. But Quan Van also reveals its full charm in the evenings when you can dine in the rustic garden. A thoroughly recommended address for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic and delicious dishes in a pleasant atmosphere.

The shop was so good, they had such great dishes. Unfortunately they have all been gone since January. Now it's the same as any other Vietnamese restaurant. I loved being there but unfortunately I don't see any reason to come back, perhaps for a change

Pretty Vietnamese restaurant in the middle of the north end. The restaurant is not that big, but offers outdoor seating when the weather is nice. The food is really delicious and the waiting times are not long. Service is also very friendly.

It used to be a real insider tip. New owners since 2024... unfortunately since then the quality has suffered significantly, at best still average... but of course everything used to be significantly more expensive...

I popped in here for a quick dinner after work and wasn't disappointed. I got a good table quickly, the service was friendly and the food was delicious. I also had a tea with lemongrass and kumquats, which tasted a bit weak. All in all, recommended.

The prices have gone up a bit since it reopened under different management and the selection isn't as big anymore, but the food is still great! The first photos are from earlier.

My family has been going to Quan Van for years and we have always gotten great food at fair prices. Unfortunately, yesterday came the disappointment: it seems as if the owners have changed. As soon as you walk in, you notice that there is a huge TV hanging in the middle of the room, which I think disturbs the ambience. In addition, both the selection on the menu and the taste of the dishes do not come close to the old quality. It now looks more like a mediocre Thai. We had the vegetarian curry and fried noodles, which were not convincing in terms of taste. Only the vegetarian spring rolls were delicious. All in all, I'm sad that this great restaurant no longer exists. If you're looking for a quick, cheap meal, you'll find it here today. Unfortunately, it's no longer anything special.

One of my favourite vietnamese places in the city. No matter if dining in or getting take out, the food is always delicious. Very friendly staff too. The things to order here are the Pho soup and number 223 (chicken in coconut, my absolute favourite).

We ate today with 10 people and were impressed by the food and the friendly atmosphere. It's a simple restaurant, but I would personally recommend it to everyone! Small and fine. The starters were delicious, the dishes were flawless and I had a clean impression. Clear five stars from me and thank you very much for a nice evening. There are no children's menus and no fries, but my children were very very happy with the rice and crispy chicken! That means what. (Unfortunately cash payment.)

Wir gehen seit Jahren regelmäßig in dieses Lokal und sowohl mittags als auch abends war das Essen immer exzellent. Preis / Leistung perfekt. Wir waren letzte Woche dort und es ist außer dem Mobiliar und dem freundlichen Personal nichts mehr wie vorher. Der Besitzer hat gewechselt und damit die gesamte Speisekarte. Es sind nur noch wenige Gerichte geblieben , man kann jetzt von panasiatischer Küche sprechen, von vietnamesisch ist so gut wie nichts mehr übrig. Das Essen ist Mittelmaß, die Portionen kleiner und die Preise deutlich höher. Wenn man das alte Quan Van kannte wird man bitter enttäuscht sein und dieses Lokal leider meiden. So Schade, wir werden es schmerzlich vermissen.

As in three other restaurants in the past, the same thing always happens after the review appears: The store is overrun, prices rise, quality drops. The following year the ratings are gone, as are the crowds and regular customers. Closure. Let's see if the latter also applies here. In any case, I won't come anymore, I don't like it anymore.

I'm really very disappointed... we've been going to this restaurant for 20 years now, it was always excellent, the curry was really world class, and generally every dish had something special, (soul) today we were unfortunately incredibly disappointed... completely different dishes Unfortunately, it reminds me of the 25th Thai on the corner and unfortunately not even the acceptable kind. Nowadays it has nothing to do with Vietnamese food anymore - tough meat, bland and sweet red Thai curry sauce?! At the Vietnamese... Jesus... I hope the owners have some sense and adapt their concept back to what it used to be, because I can guarantee it won't take 2 months and the shop will be empty, especially if you're used to the previous food... Nice service, good portion of food, but unfortunately not quite to my taste or like mom's. Unfortunately, the meat at Bun Thit Nuong was dry. Bun Bo Hue and Pho as a starter is a brilliant idea. Unfortunately the taste is rather below average. Good prices! Unfortunately we won't be back, but it's definitely fine for a quick hunger and introduction to Vietnamese cuisine.

Sehr freundliches und herzliches Team. Obwohl wir ohne Reservierung einen Platz bekommen haben, schien das eher ein Zufall gewesen zu sein, daher würde ich eine Reservierung empfehlen. Einen Besuch ist es auf jeden Fall wert, das Essen ist fantastisch! Frisch, authentisch und verdient ganz vorne bei "Frankfurt geht aus".

Wie immer waren wir sehr zufrieden !

Wir haben den Besuch genossen. Inneneinrichtung mit wenig asiatischen Anklängen. Unsere Speisen (Rindfleischsalat, Krabbensuppe, Curry-Lachs und glacierte Ente) waren wohlschmeckend. Am Service könnte man noch das ein oder andere optimieren, aber insgesamt ok.

Das Quan Van war lange ein absoluter Geheimtipp und bekommt nun die wohlverdiente Aufmerksamkeit. Das Essen ist immer frisch und super lecker. Die Bedienung freundlich und sehr schnell. Besonders gut für ein schnelles Mittagessen. Aber abends auch absolut zu empfehlen mit essen auf der Terrasse.

Ganz besonderes Essen, anders wie im Standart Restaurant wird hier lecker gewürzt und es es schmeckt sehr gut. Man kann draußen wie innen sehr gut sitzen

Quan Van ist wortwörtlich der leckere Vietnamese von Nebenan. Die Gerichte, und vor allem die Mittagsspeisen, schmecken sensationell! Das Personal ist nett, das Ambiente super, und die Preise sind mehr als fair! Unscheinbar, aber sensationell! Und: Gerichte werden schnell zubereitet. Daher ist Quan Van perfekt für ein schnelles Mittagessen im Homeoffice. Vor Ort kann man schön sitzen.

Essen ist OK. Nur kann man nicht schön drin sitzen und unterhalten, weil die Akustik schlecht ist. Preis - Leistung -Verhältnis stimmt. Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Very busy family operating Vietnamese restaurant, requires reservations

Super Essen und top Preis/Leistung der Mittagskarte.

Voll Katastrophe, Wir hatten bestellt, Knusprig lassierte Ente und Curry Garnelen. Riesenportion aber alt und abgestanden wie Resteverwertung. Außerdem waren 2 schwarze lange Haare im Essen. Die Sommerrolle enthielt eingetrocknet Grüßen, war matschig und gleichfalls schon vor längerer Zeit hergestellt. Keine Empfehlung.

Der Mittagstisch ist von der Preis-Leistung einfach unschlagbar. Auch abends sehr empfehlenswert. Etwas kühles Ambiente.

Das Essen schmeckt wirklich gut. Und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist super. Die Einrichtung könnte überholt werden. Dennoch wir gehen hier sehr gerne hin. Die Sommerrollen zum selbst belegen sind zu empfehlen.

Das Essen war wirklich gut, kann ich weiterempfehlen, hat uns allen geschmeckt, aber der Raum wirkte still, es fehlte Musik. Der Service war gut, das Essen kam auch schnell. Die Photos an der Wand wurden unter den Beleuchtungen plaziert, wobei die Lichter die Decken bestrahlt haben, was wir seltsam fanden, anders wären sie besser in Geltung gekommen. Ich esse gerne mit Stäbchen, und muss jedes mal danach fragen, da ich nicht asiatisch aussehe.

EIne sehr variantereiche Speisekarte. Mit Freunden und Familen bin ich häufig dort. Es gibt für uns immer etwas neues zu probieren, denn die Speisekarte ist lang. Dass die Räumlichkeiten beengt sind, das ist den Gästen bekannt. Wem das nicht gefällt, der sollte im Frankfurter Hof speisen (wenn das das Geld zur Verfügung steht). Die Ecke Schwarzburgstraße / Eckenheimer Landstrtaße hat (seitdem ich gegenüber wohne, seit 1976) hat immer großartinge Restaurents beherbergt. Quan Van ist für Menschen, die gutes und gleichzeitig bezahlbares Menue schätzen, die richtige Adesse.

Das Essen mag gut sein, der Rest ist es nicht. Zum Essen ist man ein gern gesehener Gast, danach nicht mehr. Der Service läßt absolut zu wünschen übrig. Es geht gar nicht, daß man das für die Vorspreisen benutzte Besteck auch für den Hauptgang zu behalten hat. Das ist unmöglich. Wer nur essen möchte und keinen Wert auf ein bißchen Atmosphäre legt ist hier richtig.

Samstagabend sollte man auf jeden Fall reservieren. Wir saßen im kleinen Nebenraum in der Mitte. Es ist schon alles etwas beengt und man kann gut und gerne mal in das Gespräch der Nachbarn einsteigen ;-) Bedienung flott, Preis-Leistung super. Geschmeckt hats auch. Würde wiederkommen.

Auf der Suche nach einem kleinen Snack zum Abend bin ich hier gelandet. Ein netter, kleiner Außenbereich lud sofort zum Verweilen ein. Der Service war unglaublich schnell und aufmerksam...und die Summeroll (inklusive der Erdnusssoße) so lecker, dass ich gleich eine zweite bestellt habe. Dazu stufe ich das Preis-Leistungverhältnis als passend ein. Einen Besuch kann ich nur empfehlen.
