I finally managed to spend a nice evening here in a relaxed manner. I wanted to “celebrate” my birthday with my loved ones, i.e. my closest family, in a calm and relaxed way, i.e. enjoy my favorite cuisine (Vietnamese since I was little) in “family style” in a nice atmosphere. Although I forgot to make a reservation because I was so busy and didn't call until lunchtime for the same evening, we got a wonderful seat in the beautiful courtyard. It's great: my favorite herbs grow in every corner: perilla, Thai basil, Vietnamese mint and coriander! We ordered across the menu: mango salad, rice crepe, papaya and squid salad, sour and spicy shrimp soup, rice dough rolls, vegetables baked in rice flour and of course my last meal: summer rolls and bun bo, with one, two or three bowls of fresh chili. Everything was incredibly tasty, fresh and beautifully presented. It's hard to choose a favorite, but the crispy vegetables and the papaya salad really made you want to order it 5 more times. Only the Nuoc Mam (lime fish sauce) could have used a little less sweetness and more lime and fish sauce for me personally, but I generally make it hotter and more intense than usual at home. The highlight was the homemade Sina banana ice cream, which I have actually never gotten anywhere in Frankfurt: the small, very sweet and aromatic banana covered in frozen coconut milk, cut into slices and served with peanuts and mint, really indescribably good, definitely try it!! Finally, of course, the beloved Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, but the normal espresso was also good and nicely served. The young service person was friendly and, above all, tried very hard to respond to our needs despite hardly any knowledge of German. Hats off! The owner (?) was always ready to answer interested questions and receive enthusiastic praise. When I "disappeared to the toilet" to settle the bill inside the next surprise, I was definitely prepared for more. For 4 people with around 15 small dishes, dessert and drinks, I paid €145 including a good tip. I definitely expected more. We would be happy to come back when the summer is over, the beautiful interior area entices you to spend a great evening with excellent food! Thank you!

Modern furnishings. Seating in the backyard too. Friendly and attentive service. Great selection of food. Large drinks menu. But most importantly: it tastes fantastic. Conclusion: Whenever we stay in Frankfurt, we always come here and enjoy a wonderful evening. Only recommended.

Ordered via Uber Eats, so can't say much about it's service ambience. Ordered it's beef slice pho and spring roll, which both tasted slightly better than average. The only 'complaint' will be the portion of the soup provided was quite little I felt.

We visited Mai viên with one pescatarian and one meat eater. There was no menu online and a very limited menu on display outside which left us a bit apprehensive but decided to enquire anyway. Upon entering, the restaurant was completely early but we were quite early and it soon started filling up! They were more than happy for us to look at the menu and wow! It was huge with loads of options including dedicated vegetarian sections for starters and main courses. After seeing lots of choice, we decided to stay. After all that, seafood was opted for. We both had the battered shrimp for starter (a bargain at around 6€ per portion) which was delicious. Huge pieces of shrimp and cooked for perfection. For the main course, we opted for a shrimp main with rice noodles, salad, veg and sauce. Upon seeing the salad and noodles come out initially, I was a bit apprehensive however upon hearing the searing skillet of my dinner incoming, I knew I had made the right choice. One skillet of shrimp with 5 large pieces of shrimp, butterflied on a bed of veg which was absolutely delicious. Whilst the second main was one of the specials and was of a similar nature but was lamb with sauce and rice. Both mains were around 19.50€ and well worth the money! Others around were asking what our food was as the presentation really was impressive. All in all, an absolutely delicious meal at a very reasonable price. The staff were very friendly and the only negative is that we didn’t have more time to come for another visit! Highly highly recommend

Good but also priced Vietnamese. The food tastes great and is very tasty, but the portions sometimes don't fill you up completely and then it reduces the price-performance ratio a bit, which is why it's only 4* and not 5.

In addition to visiting the restaurant, we often and very happily ordered because the food was not only delivered quickly, fresh and very tasty. After ordering today, we noticed that the portion and the duck in the curry seemed to be significantly smaller and the price of the dish as a whole was more expensive. What was previously more than enough and sometimes there was still some left over, we ask ourselves what else we could eat. Unfortunately, the new delivery fees of almost €4 ( Lieferando ) are a bit too steep for delivery within Bockenheim. Given the conditions, this was probably the last order for now. In the long term we will definitely test this again 😊

Very tasty Vietnamese food in a rather sober atmosphere. Service was rather Asian and reserved.

Definitely worth a visit. They have vegetarian options for main dishes, starters and soups. I especially recommend the pineapple tea!

Wirklich ein sehr gutes Vietnamesisches Restaurant in dem die Gerichte nach eigenen Rezept frisch zubereitet werden.Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.Die Location ist stilvoll eingerichtet und das Ambiente stimmt auch.Hier kann man regelmäßig kommen und die Karte rauf und runter probieren da Wirklich alles schmeckt.

Super leckeres essen und bei schönenm Wetter kann man im Innehof sitzen. Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt auch und der Service ist freundlich und schnell.

Mitten in der Stadt im kleinen Innenhof sitzen und leckeres Essen genießen. Hatte knusprige Ente mit Curry Sauce, war sehr lecker und reichlich. Die Ente war schön kross und reichlich Fleisch, nicht nur krümelige Endstücke wie es häufig vorkommt. Im Gemüse waren frische Pilze dabei, die Sauce lecker und würzig. Waren zu sechst und Essen kam zeitnah. Guter Service

Wir waren gestern mit 5 Personen dort und waren begeistert. Wir saßen erst draußen und es fing auf einmal stark an zu regnen. Obwohl das Restaurant sehr voll war, wurde eine Möglichkeit geschaffen, damit wir drinnen sitzen können. Die Atmosphäre war sehr entspannt und wir haben uns total wohl gefühlt! Abgesehen davon: das Essen war sehr sehr lecker, viel und es gibt eine Riesen Auswahl an Vorspeisen, Hauptgerichten und Desserts. Ein tolles Erlebnis!

Angenehmes Ambiente das Essen war sehr gut und preiswert

Nhà hàng được trang trí mang đậm nét đặc sắc Việt Nam với cả không gian trong nhà lẫn bên ngoài, bạn có thể chọn ngồi ngoài trời hoặc ở bàn bên trong quán. Đồ ăn thơm ngon, được nấu hài hòa phù hợp với tất cả mọi người. Vị trí của quán rất dễ tiếp cận. Chủ quán và các nhân viên rất tốt bụng và nhiệt tình, luôn sẵn sàng tư vấn giúp bạn chọn được món ăn phù hợp với mình. Giá cả hợp lý so với chất lượng tuyệt vời của món ăn.

Sehr leckere und authentische Küche, Schneller und freundlicher Service. Außerdem ging es sehr schnell, allerdings war auch wenig los. Leider geht man außen leicht vorbei ohne zu ahnen das ein Besuch sich lohnt. Also unbedingt mal ausprobieren.

Essen ist lecker (ich hatte hervorragendes Lamm, meine Begleitung eher unspannendes Tofu) und man sitzt recht nett im Hinterhof. Preise finde ich völlig angemessen. Bedienung ist sehr nett, könnte aber etwas aufmerksamer sein.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, hervorragendes Essen welches auf sinnlich schönem Geschirr serviert wird. Der Inhaber ist sehr herzlich und man fühlt sich bestens umsorgt. Mein Favorit: gegrilltes Rindfleisch auf heißer Platte serviert und dazu die beste Limetten Limonade! 🔝

Ein Geheimtipp den man dort so nicht erwartet. Ein kleines und feines Restaurant mit einem wirklich sehr ruhigen Innenhof. Die Karte mit wunderbaren Gerichten zu fairen Preisen. Der Nachtisch Bananeneis in Kokosmantel oder ein Grüntee Eis sind eine Offenbarung und zur Unterstützung danach einen vietnamesischen Kaffee. Leider muss man für die Parkplatz- Suche etwas Zeit einplanen, der Eingang liegt direkt neben dem 13.Polizeirevier?, deren Parkplätze man nicht benutzen sollte.

Wir wurden hier noch nie enttäuscht.Alles sehr frisch und lecker. Sehr zu empfehlen.Der Service ist sehr freundlich und die Speisen werden schnell serviert.

Waren zum Mittagessen dort. Portionen recht klein war aber lecker. Tee eher hochpreisig.

Wir haben Reis mit Ente und Gemüse zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Selbst nach 1,5h war die Ente noch zart und nicht zäh! Nächstes mal werden wir bei MV wieder bestellen.

Kleines nettes Restaurant mit sehr netten und höflichen Personal. Das Essen war super. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist völlig in Ordnung. Wäre es für mich nicht so weit entfernt, würde ich öfter dort hin gehen.

Sehr feine und tolle Küche, frische Produkte und ein richtiges Gaumenerlebnis. Unbedingt vorher reservieren, kleines und gemütliches Restaurant.

Mai Vien had been one of my go-to restaurants, for well over 15 years, whenever I was in Frankfurt for business. But my work over the past decade (especially since COVID-19 struck) had taken me to other parts of the world and I hadn’t had a chance to visit. So it was great to return and discover that their food, and service, is as good as it has been. And their prices can’t be beat! It was like getting together with an old friend. Having traveled extensively in Vietnam, I can attest to their food being authentic. And delicious! It is sad to see how much the neighborhood has changed over the past decade, and learn that many of our favorite restaurants had closed. But it was great to find Mai Vien still in business, and still serving delicious meals after all these years!

쌀국수 국물 너무 짜고 가격에 비해 양도 적었음. 처음 음식이 나왔을때 면끼리 들러붙어 있고 먹다보니 그 면들이 2센치 간격으로 부스러져있음. 배달 전문 업체인지 사람 별로 없었음.

Insgesamt sehr positive Erfahrung. Nette Bedienung, aufmerksam. Vorspeise fand ich okay, aber eigentlich zu teuer. Hauptspeise ( gebratene Nudeln) waren sehr gut, fein geschnittene Komponenten mit klarem Geschmack

Sehr gute Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken. Auch viele vegetarische Gerichte. Alles wird frisch und trotzdem schnell zubereitet. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wurde vor kurzem renoviert. Modern, aber trotzdem gemütlich eingerichtet.

Prices: 🍜12€ 🍌4,5€ . I was happy to eat vietnamese in a restaurant the first time again after six months. The Bún bò huế was delicious, but no comparison to the mother's homemade Bún bò huế at home. The broth was aromatic and had a pleasant spiciness and the squeezed lime gave the soup some acid. I like the taste of the lemongrass. The beef was tender and the vietnamese pork mortadella was firm. The chopped spring onions and the fresh herbs gave the noodle soup an aromatic taste. The dessert was the highlight of the dinner. I have never seen Chè like this in vietnamese restaurants in Germany. It was so delicious. The coconut milk was creamy and sweet and had something salty with it. The tapioca pearls gave the dessert a smooth but nice consistency. The cooked and finely chopped banana was hot and sweet and the peanuts gave the dessert a crunch. A delicious composition. . The restaurant is very modern and has a terrace in the courtyard, which was well staffed today.The waitress was extremely friendly and served us well. I've been there twice: best Vietnamese restaurant in Frankfurt - and I know some and the cooking as my wife is Vietnamese. You can taste the food is fresh made, very tasty and not the fast tourist feeding. Atmosphere is relaxed and pleasing, service always friendly and open for suggestions. Better make a reservation for groups over 6 as the place is not that big.

Das Essen ist super lecker und alles ist frisch gekocht. Wir waren am Sonntagabend mit sechs Personen dort. Jeder hatte etwas anderes bestellt. Alles hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Wir waren begeistert. Die Portionen sind ordentlich. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Sehr freundlicher Service. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall bald wieder.

Vanavond in de achtertuin van Mai Vien gegeten. Ik kan dit restaurant iedereen aanbevelen. Met name de eend was geweldig lekker. Een aanrader.

Location: piccolo locale quasi anonimo all’esterno. Interni semplici e senza particolari tipicità. Forse servirebbe un tocco più orientale. Voto 6. Servizio: cordiale e familiare. Nel nostro gruppo c’era chi parlava tedesco ma credo che anche in inglese si possa dialogare. Menu anche in inglese. Fatevi aiutare nella scelta dei piatti. Voto 7. Cibo: ottimo. Piatti ben realizzati e saporiti. Ogni boccone e’ carico di sfumature orientali. A piatti freschi e delicati si alternano altri più piccanti e dai sapori decisi. Voto 8. Prezzi: per qualità adeguati, per il servizio un po’ alti. Mi sarei aspettato un conto più soft. Voto 6+.

Zum Mittagessen mit einem Arbeitskollegen und wir waren beide sehr angetan. Vorsuppe auf das Haus und danach die Ente war sehr gut. Auch die NUdeln und das Gemüse, Nichts zu meckern, Service und check out sehr gut.

Komme seit Jahren gern hier her, stets frisch zubereitete und super appetitliche Speisen. Mittagstisch unschlagbar, stets Suppe aufs Haus vorweg. Die frisch zubereiteten Limonaden sind lecker und erfrischend. Habe Allergie gegen Glutamat, hier wird ganz sicher ohne gekocht.
