Everything was perfect. Very friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, and very good food.

We waited 2 hours for the pizza.

The food was absolutely delicious. You could choose between wine sauce or tomato sauce for the mussels. The bread was fresh and homemade.

Visited off season on a Wednesday night and didn’t need to wait for a table. Salad and beef carpaccio were good. Soup was okay but mushy and seemed old. The bowl was bulky and made it look unappetizing. Pizzas were fine but on the salty side, especially the anchovy and capers. That one was too salty and needed something to balance it, maybe a different cheese. Had a good time nonetheless and as a famished tourist, it was what we needed in the moment.

So far so good. Service was very friendly. I didn't find the food particularly outstanding in terms of value for money. Of course, tastes vary.

On the list of nasties: The extractor hood was heavily greased. Grease dripped everywhere, dripping into the cooking area, among other places. The ice cube maker's interior was dirty with red deposits and residue. The surface of the ice cube maker was dirty. The large gray cutting board used to slice mushrooms was already heavily discolored, and there were brown burn marks on the edges that were no longer easy to clean. Some food items (e.g., squid, beef carpaccio, etc.) were not properly frozen. Some were left uncovered and frozen between food items wrapped in cling film. Storage room/basement: There was dirt on the floor, and in places, mouse droppings.

We stumbled upon the restaurant by chance before our trip to Heidelberg. It wasn't too busy at lunchtime. The food arrived quickly and tasted very good.

We visited this restaurant spontaneously and were very pleased! We were served quickly, although the dishes took a while to prepare. The Aurora pasta and gnocchi with porcini mushrooms were amazing and very tasty. The only downside is the lack of internet, it seems to be there, but not a single waiter gave us the password.

Great Italian restaurant! Italian music in the background, not too loud, not too quiet. Friendly and attentive service. The food came quickly and was fresh, and the taste was great! We were at Quadrato today on a busy evening, and despite the crowds, the service was truly top-notch – friendly, attentive, and professional. You can immediately tell that a well-coordinated team works together here. The food was truly outstanding, fresh, creative, and prepared with great attention to detail! Even though it was a bit crowded and we had to wait a bit, the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. Quadrato is definitely a place you'll want to return to – no matter how busy it is. Highly recommended!

A very nice restaurant with truly delicious food and super friendly staff! Since the change of ownership, things have been even better. Even when it's busy, everyone tries hard to accommodate the guests, which I really appreciated. It's definitely worth a visit :)

Unfortunately, I don't really understand the very good reviews. Yesterday, we waited over an hour for a salad and another 20 minutes for two pizzas. Very annoying, as we had concert tickets and had to hurry to get there on time despite the large time slot. The salad and dressing were very good. Unfortunately, the pizzas sat like a stone in our stomachs until this morning... and that was over €80 with four glasses of wine and one water. A hefty price overall for this service. It's a shame; I can't recommend them to anyone.

High-quality food, good location near the castle. Six of us were here last night for dinner before the opera (it opens early in the afternoon).

The service during our visit was really very good. They were helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the food wasn't particularly good, rather average, and it was okay. The value for money isn't good; the portions are small, it's very expensive, and it wasn't particularly good either.

Also, ich muss leider sagen, wir waren sehr enttäuscht!!! Service, das Essen und Umgebung war gar nicht gut. Uns wurde verdorbenes Fisch gebracht, es flogen viele Fliegen herum.. das andere Essen schmeckte einfach nicht. Dann wurde uns Tiramisu als Entschuldigung versprochen, wurde aber nicht gebracht. Und den ganzen nächsten Tag war mir schlecht und übel nach diesem Essen.

Wir haben das italienische Restaurant gestern Abend als Familie besucht – und was soll ich sagen? Es war einfach fantastisch! Schon beim Betreten des Lokals wurden wir herzlich begrüßt, und die gemütliche, stilvolle Atmosphäre ließ sofort Urlaubsgefühle aufkommen. Die Speisekarte war eine wunderbare Mischung aus traditionellen Klassikern und kreativen Eigenkreationen. Jeder von uns hat etwas anderes bestellt – von Pasta über knusprige Pizza– und jedes einzelne Gericht war auf den Punkt zubereitet, geschmacklich hervorragend und wunderschön angerichtet. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den exzellenten Service: freundlich, aufmerksam, aber nie aufdringlich. Auch auf unsere Sonderwünsche wurde mit einem Lächeln eingegangen – das ist heute keine Selbstverständlichkeit mehr. Zum Abschluss gab es noch ein Tiramisu, das besser war als in so manchem Lokal in Italien selbst. Dazu ein Espresso wie er sein soll – stark, aromatisch, perfekt. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen mit Sicherheit wieder. Mille grazie für diesen wunderbaren Abend!

We (4 people) felt very comfortable and had a wonderful evening. We really like the Quadrato restaurant in Schwetzingen; everything from the appetizer to the dessert is top-notch, as always. Two of us spontaneously stopped by for dinner this evening. Friendly and attentive service, delicious food, and generous portions. We had spaghetti with seafood and a generously filled calzone. We'd love to come back next time we're in the area.

We ate here last week. The food was very good. I highly recommend the pizza, and the carbonara too. It's not cheap, but it's definitely worth it!

We were looking for a quick lunch here on our way to Schwetzingen. At first, we weren't quite sure whether we should sit at the outdoor tables, after being very disappointed with the food at our last visit to another pizzeria. But we (and Quadrato) did everything right. The waiter was very friendly, the ordered food was brought to our table relatively quickly, and it was still really hot, which we like, since it cools down quickly on its own at the tables facing the street.

Unfortunately I was very disappointed this time. Because I invited my mom to early Mother's Day. We just ate it, but it was very sobering. Was used to better food. The boss apologized, but that didn't really make things better. I had previously said that I wanted the dough to be crispy and the topping was so thick that there was only squishy stuff on the inside of the plate and some of the onions and artichokes were still cold.

We were here with the family. The food, service and ambience were good but not exceptional. We had salad, pizza and bruscetta. The homemade lemonades were just syrup with water. You can still sit outside. There are also enough seats inside. The toilets are clean and there are children's toys at a table.

Please don't go there bad food wait time 40-60 for the food

When we ordered Carbanora we even mentioned three times that it didn't taste good and that it was too salty. Unfortunately, the boss even came to our table in person and was very rude and threw us out and used very unkind words, even though we simply meant that the food didn't taste good Unfortunately, no one came to meet us in any way! Zero recommended!!!!

My friend and I stopped here for a quick drink. Unfortunately my lemonade tasted completely like toothpaste (elderberry/mint). In addition, the men's toilets were very dirty and when we wanted to pay, the waiter simply ran into the back of the kitchen with our remaining money. When I pointed out to him that I still get money, all he said was “well, actually I always get tips”. That means he did it quite consciously. Actually, we always give tips, but we don't see the need to pay anything extra for an undrinkable drink and dirty toilets. Especially not after it was just blatantly taken from you. Very unfortunate.

We happened to pass the restaurant this evening. Because it looked very appealing from the outside, we tried our luck without a reservation. The boss was very friendly and accommodating and offered us (4 adults and a child) a table. The food came very quickly and tasted excellent. The service was great, we asked several times whether everything was OK. The boss then came to collect and asked again whether we were satisfied. It would definitely become one of our regular bars but unfortunately we live 250 km away. If we're in the area again, we'll be happy to come back. Thank you again for the lovely evening.

The owner is very friendly and knows what to recommend to his customers. We went there for the first time this evening for my husband's birthday and were more than happy with the experience.

We reserved a table for two for Saturday evening. The store is really nice, minimalist, modern design. The table was clean, the seats were comfortable. The owner served us and you could really tell how much passion and attention to detail he put into it. We were given new cutlery for every dish. One negative was that they didn't have cloth napkins to put on your lap, just regular, unlabeled paper towels. Given the price of the food, that's not really possible. As a starter we had “Vitello Tonnato” (18 euros) and let me tell you, it was super delicious! The portion was generous, the tuna mayo sauce was heavenly and the meat was great. For the main course we had the “Homemade Gnocchi Porcini: stuffed with cheese, in tomato sauce with cherry tomatoes and porcini mushrooms” (18.50 euros). It was really tasty, the gnocchi was super soft and not tough, the sauce was thick and rich, the mushrooms were tender and perfectly cooked. What we didn't like was that the sauce was quite greasy overall, the oil literally popped out of the gnocchi. We also had their “Pizza Napoli: with capers and anchovies”. It was good, the dough was fluffy and rather thin. The only disadvantage: it was quite expensive at 15.50 euros for a pizza. We would recommend this place, but be aware that the prices are high - could be due to the restaurant's great location.

I had dinner there on December 26th. It was very poorly organized for Christmas... There were many drinks that weren't on the list, and my dish was missing several ingredients, such as tomatoes and parmesan. The employees were unfriendly except for one young man. I work in sales myself and know that it's not always easy, but planning and organization should be there.

Wir hatten uns auf einen schönen Abend mit Freunden in diesem italienischen Restaurant gefreut. Leider verlief der Abend alles andere als angenehm. Ich bestellte eine Pizza mit Salami, Schinken und Knoblauch. Als diese serviert wurde, war sie jedoch stark in Öl getränkt. Ohne einen Bissen zu nehmen, sprach ich die Servicekraft darauf an. Er erklärte, dass es sich um „Salami-Öl“ handle – eine Begründung, die mir bisher unbekannt war. Trotzdem bestand ich auf eine neue Pizza, die dann mit deutlichem Widerwillen gebracht wurde. Zu meinem Erstaunen enthielt sie diesmal scharfe Salami und einen Käse, der geschmacklich schwer genießbar war, sodass ich fast die Hälfte stehen ließ. Eine Pizza eines Freundes war zudem mit teilweise rohen Meeresfrüchten belegt – ebenfalls alles andere als appetitlich. Beim Bezahlen wurde es dann leider noch unangenehmer. Ich beglich die Rechnung mit Karte, wobei mir vom Servicepersonal lediglich der Gesamtbetrag genannt wurde, ohne Einzelauflistung. Später kam die Servicekraft erneut an unseren Tisch und behauptete, die Vorspeise sei nicht bezahlt worden. Da mir beim Bezahlvorgang keine detaillierte Übersicht vorlag, hatte ich dies zunächst nicht bemerkt. Ich bot ihm daraufhin meine Karte erneut an, doch nun hieß es, Kartenzahlung sei erst ab 20 € möglich. Stattdessen sollte ich einen Ausweis als Pfand hinterlegen und Bargeld holen. Alternativ schlug ich vor, die Zahlung komplett zu stornieren, die Vorspeise hinzuzufügen und den gesamten Betrag erneut zu begleichen. Diese Lösung wurde jedoch abgelehnt. Der Chef war auf Nachfrage angeblich nicht zu sprechen. Die Situation eskalierte weiter, als die Servicekraft schließlich behauptete, er wisse, wo ich wohne und werde sich das Geld holen. Er forderte mich schließlich auf, das Restaurant zu verlassen, bevor er „eskaliert“. Diesen Vorfall werde ich der Geschäftsführung der Quadrato Gastro GmbH schildern. Ich kann nur dringend davon abraten, dieses Restaurant zu besuchen.

We were looking forward to a lovely evening with friends in this Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, the evening was anything but pleasant. I ordered a pizza with salami, ham and garlic. However, when this was served it was heavily soaked in oil. Without taking a bite, I asked the waitress about it. He explained that it was “salami oil” – a reason that was previously unknown to me. Nevertheless, I insisted on a new pizza, which was then brought with clear reluctance. To my surprise this time it contained spicy salami and a cheese that was difficult to enjoy, so I left almost half of it. A friend's pizza also had some raw seafood on it - also anything but appetizing. Unfortunately, things got even more unpleasant when paying. I paid the bill by card, and the service staff only told me the total amount, without listing the individual items. Later the waitress came to our table again and claimed that the starter had not been paid for. Since I didn't have a detailed overview during the payment process, I didn't notice this at first. I then offered him my card again, but now he said that card payments were only possible from €20 onwards. Instead, I was supposed to leave an ID as security and get cash. Alternatively, I suggested canceling the payment completely, adding the starter and paying the entire amount again. However, this solution was rejected. The boss was apparently not available when asked. The situation escalated further when the waitress finally claimed that he knew where I lived and was going to get the money. He eventually asked me to leave the restaurant before he “escalated.” I will describe this incident to the management of Quadrato Gastro GmbH. I can only strongly advise against visiting this restaurant.

The Quadrato offers a nice ambience and a varied menu, but the prices are very high. My salad with turkey strips was nicely prepared but with a strange brown dressing, I couldn't tell what the taste was, you had to look for the turkey strips and they were hard and dry, not ok for €16.90. The salmon tartare for €19.90 was a big one Portion and nicely prepared. Vitello Tonnato also €19.90 which is very expensive. For me it's not a place I would want to go to often.

First of all, the pizza bread was still raw and doughy. Rigatoni was bland, pizza was very good, ruccola ruccola with mustard was served without declaring it in the menu, danger for allergy sufferers!!! All complaints were resolved immediately. Service 4/5 a deduction because something like that shouldn't be taken with you on your passport.

Food was very good. Price-performance is good. The waiter was a little stuffy, but that was bearable. Otherwise clean and centrally located.

We reserved a table for two families, nevertheless there were some free places. The soup was delicious, the lasagna and pizza were well done and the salad was fresh. Is there any reason not to go there? 😁 Big plus: the service is very polite!

Proper Italian cuisine: carbonara with pancetta, egg, parmesan and no cream or any ham. Piccata Milanese with Parmesan crust. Simply delicious, very good ingredients, perfectly prepared. The ambience and service are right and you feel comfortable and welcome. For me it's probably the best Italian restaurant in the area.

Reservierung online. Schöner Außentisch. Wir teilten uns eine kalte Vorspeisenplatte mit diversen Köstlichkeiten. Die Hauptspeisen (Spaghetti alla Marinara, Tagliatelle al Salmone und Spaghetti Carbonara im Parmesankörbchen) schmeckten ausgezeichnet. Der Lambrusco und auch der empfohlene Pinot Grigio rundeten das Menü ab. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können das Quadrato sehr empfehlen.

Four of us were in this pizzeria on Saturday, August 10th, 2024. As a greeting we were immediately given the information: “there is no pizza today”. This could only have been a joke, but the waiter confirmed this very confidently. You can get shoes in the shoe store. in the kebab kebab snack bar and drinks in the drinks shop.... Only here in the pizzeria no pizza. The portions of the food we ordered were significantly too small and were therefore significantly too expensive (penne). The salad still had a little sand between the leaves and the dressing tasted below average. The lasagna was almost burnt on the bottom; quite dark! The service was rather poor and unmotivated. After the initial drinks, you weren't even asked if you wanted something else to drink, the bread with the salad came much later and only after you asked. We all had the impression that hospitality was not wanted and that making quick money was the priority. By the way: the nice chef, who finished work at around 9:30 p.m., told us that there would be pizza again tomorrow (Sunday). Since most shops are probably closed on Sundays (to possibly buy ingredients), we can assume that pizza should deliberately not be sold; It probably wasn't due to a lack of ingredients. No thanks for the lesson in how guests can be fooled. Totally not recommended!!!!

Top starting point, located directly at the castle. I had a spaghetti bolognese (ragou) and a caneloni and salad. Arugula was made from... The quality of the salad was poor. The waiter asked, but he didn't address the visible remains of the dry leaves. The ragou was also totally watered down...

Naja, ist vielleicht etwas tagesabhängig. Ich hatte ein Speise da war Hummer dabei. Der Hummer war total trocken und tot gebraten. Geht gar nicht für den Preis. Dann hatte ich mal die Nudeln im Parmesanlaib. Dieser Parmesanlaib steht im Durchgang vom Restaurant zu den Toiletten und war nicht abgedeckt oder ähnliches. Da ich dieses Gericht schon bestellt hatte, war mir irgendwie nicht mehr so wohl. Die Nudeln kamen und wurden im Parmesanlaib geschwenkt. Das Essen war total kalt, also auch die Nudeln. Kenne ich so eigentlich nicht. Als Vorspeise hatte ich Tatar. Ich fragte, wo ist das Ei (steht in der Karte beschrieben), die Antwort, ist schon reingemischt. Wenn sich so etwas schon höre ist es eigentlich zu 99,9% ein fertiges, flüssiges Ei im Tetrapack. Hier stimmt das Preis.-/Leistungsverhältnis überhaupt nicht und man zahlt hier einfach die Lokation (die übrigens sehr schön eingerichtet ist) und die Umgebung.

Wir sind regelmäßige Besucher der Stadt Schwetzingen, leider ist es mittlerweile recht schwierig, genussvoll zu essen. Egal zu welcher Tageszeit, sehr häufig auch schon morgens bläst einem eine Fülle an küchengerüchen entgegen, die es einem während des Essens den Appetit verderben. Was da im Hintergrund verkocht wird, oder ob die Filterung der abluftanlage nicht gewartet ist, bleibt fraglich offen. Wir werden, wie unsere Freunde, denen dies auch desöfteren aufgefallen ist, uns wohl auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite ein Lokal suchen müssen! Leider! Aber auch das gehört zum wohlfühlen dazu. Prices were too high, we just drank something

Wenn man nach dem Essen, gefragt wird, ob alles in Ordnung gewesen sei sollte man auch mit einer eventuellen Kritik rechnen. Die so jetzt eigentlich gar nicht böse gemeint war, einfach nur eine Feststellung meinerseits, da ich die Speise anderweitig schon gehaltvoller, würziger, intensiver gegessen hatte. Dies jedoch dann an einen Kollegen hinter der Theke mit dem entsprechenden Gesichtsausdruck und der Wortwahl weiterzugeben, ist für mich als Kundin ein No Go, wenn sich unser Tisch direkt vor der Theke befindet.

Overrated. The food is ok, the Carbonara Original was a disappointment because it was way too salty, so the chef didn't take the Parmesan cheese (which was already on the dish when it was served) into account when salting it. Pizza looked very tasty. Would probably just come back to try these. Otherwise, unfortunately not anymore.
