Puszta-Hütte in Köln

I'm not so enthusiastic about this portion of goulash anymore. It's still very tasty, but there's very little meat. The meat content used to be higher. You can clearly see that in the photo.

Anyone who likes goulash has to come here. I come here every time I'm in Cologne. The food is excellent. The service is great. There's a nice outdoor seating area.

Cheap, delicious, friendly staff, totally rustic—what more could you want? The goulash is truly spicy!

The goulash was delicious, but way too little (including the small helping of broth). Otherwise, everything was great, the service was quick and relaxed. The goulash arrived at the table in no time. 😄

A Cologne institution that serves just one dish: goulash with bread rolls. The goulash has a pleasant, slightly spicy flavor. There's no alternative for vegetarians. The restaurant is rustically decorated, and the food is served in no time. The staff is very friendly and, in a typical Cologne style, a bit cheeky in a funny way.

The goulash itself was great, but very oily and spicy. Unfortunately they weren't asked whether with or without oil. Personally, I was missing some mild cream to tone down the spiciness.

Super cool, we've been wanting to visit Cologne for a long time and now we've finally done it and we're annoyed that we weren't there earlier, we'll be coming back more often in the future.

Goulash. And drinks. Nothing else. Aaaber: the best goulash I know. And inexpensive too. Always worth a stop for a goulash in Cologne. There is also a free second helping (only sauce - but it's really awesome). Definitely try it out! Attention: note opening times. Closed later in the evening and all day on Sundays.

Rustic atmosphere in the guest room. Super friendly and attentive staff, happy to say a Cologne saying on their lips. In addition to goulash, there is Mühlen Kölsch on tap. And the rolls are now homemade. A visit is worth it.

A very cozy and traditional looking restaurant! They pretty much only serve goulash and beer but boy are those delicious and they go incredibly well together! Also one of the cheapest eats you can get

Unfortunately, that's no longer what it was. The taste has deteriorated a lot. Service is still super nice employees. But unfortunately you can hardly enjoy the food when you are outside. There are always junkies walking around who appear very unkempt. Who smell from meters away and want to beg for money every time at the table. You can hardly enjoy the food. I had to leave mine alone.

So pustahütte is a household name for every Cologne resident... I went there with my father 45 years ago as a child and the goulash was always great. In Kölle the Köbes is king... But the woman who served us really did a lot of work when it came to dogs... Okay, she's afraid of dogs but then you don't need to make such a fuss. We asked where to sit, they could have seated us somewhere other than in the middle of the restaurant, only to cause a huge fuss every time we walked past because the dog was sitting there. She could have sent her colleague or placed us in the back corner. I mean, this isn't a stand-up comedian show. Every time she came past our table she did some nonsense about the dog. "Oh, I was so scared" or "Oh, I'm so scared" This has to get better... You can't scare away the guests just because you're annoying everyone with your fake dog panic... Ridiculous! We didn't take a second helping or a second or third Kölsch and just left

What's so great about that? Thin soup with countable meat crumbs. Second helping without meat crumbs. As natives of Cologne, we ask ourselves who gives positive reviews. Unbelievable. The first picture is Puszta Hut, the second is the local gourmet restaurant. Both for €6.90. I honestly wonder if the celebrities who express their positive comments on autograph cards (which are everywhere) were all funny...

Great Goulasch, very delicious. Served (presentation) in a very simple way (it is not the best I have seen, but the flavor was great and that is what matters. In fact, I repeated, because it was not a large quantity. It is the only dish in the restaurant (family tavern type). They serve you immediately. There is no waiting and it is very close to Schindler Gasse, one of the streets with the highest concentration of shops. Very central and economical.

We have been purchasing Puszta Hut products online for many years. This is how we bring a piece of home to Bavaria. It's great that this still exists after so many decades.

Rustic atmosphere and only one dish on the menu, but this one has it all. The goulash tastes great and doesn't cost the earth. There aren't many seats here but it's definitely worth a visit if you've never been here before. We also had super friendly and funny service, would happily do so again

A little note for everyone who can't tolerate any spiciness at all: the goulash might be a little too spicy for you. There's only goulash on the menu, which is super tasty, the portion isn't too big, but with a ladle of sauce and rolls it only costs €6.90. If you're more hungry you can just order several portions. Definitely worth it. In addition, the service is super fast and nice.

A very authentic Hungarian Goulash Pub and great to meet friends and have a couple of Kölsch beers. Goulash is the only food they serve, so do go there if you are looking for a big menu.

The taste is super delicious. I bought some goulash soup to take away and sat down in front of the shop with it (not a single customer was outside and all the seats were free). I then ate some of my soup there and was sent away by the waiter because it would spoil the picture. Unfortunately for me that's a reason not to eat there anymore.

I expected it to be a bit more "touristy", but it is as quaint as it is described. Food is good, service is good. Price/performance is great. What more can you say?

There are only 2 dishes available here. Goulash with or without beef. The beef was very tender and juicy. Soup was a bit spicy even without the chili oil but really tasty and yum. Me encanta la forma en que básicamente sirven una cosa... goulash y pan... ¡pero es lo MEJOR que me ha pasado por los labios! Necesito volar aquí para probarlo de nuevo. La carne suculenta y la salsa era simplemente divino y una patada encantadora a ella. ¡También puedes comer segundas porciones! El ambiente en el interior era muy acogedor y el personal excepcionalmente amable y muy elogioso acerca de mi horrible capacidad alemana y acento (creo que apreciaron que lo intente sin embargo!) . Se lava con un par de cervezas (otras bebidas disponibles! ). Definitivamente quiero volver. ¡Fue uno de los momentos más destacados de mi viaje! No se llevan tarjetas para el pago; solo efectivo, pero no hay problema, ya que había una señal clara afuera y teníamos efectivo disponible. ¡Gracias!

You can get the best goulash I know there. Nice old place. I'm a regular there. You can also get the goulash in cans. But I like it even better fresh in the restaurant. I'll go back soon.

If you have been running a restaurant in the heart of Cologne for 76 years where you can only order ONE DISH, then that dish must taste sensational. And it does. The Puszta Hut goulash is known and infamous beyond the city limits. I sometimes dream about this goulash at night. Luckily, you can also take this liquid bliss home in canned form. Anyone who doesn't know the Puszta Hut has missed Kölle.
