The food was really fresh and delicious. The prices were fair, and the service was very friendly!

I ordered two names on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Unfortunately, the names were very hard and not soft, as you would normally expect, and unfortunately, the butter chicken tasted very burnt. So, it was unenjoyable. It's a real shame.

I went there to eat Chole and Nan. I loved the taste. They prepare food whenever we order so it's great to have.

I had a great experience at Punjabi Pfanne! The owner is very friendly and welcoming, which creates a pleasant atmosphere. As a student, I especially appreciate that the food is not only affordable but also of excellent quality. The dishes are full of flavor, with a perfect blend of spices and a wonderful aroma. It's rare to find a restaurant that combines authentic taste with fair prices – Punjabi Pfanne does just that. Highly recommended! 🌟

Unfortunately, I have to update my review. Of course, everything is getting more expensive, not just for customers, but also for restaurants, and I can understand why prices are rising. What I can't understand is why they're drastically reducing the portion sizes at the same time. For a dish that costs €17, I expect more than four small pieces of chicken. The color of the butter chicken is also more than strange these days (see photo). If the taste weren't still so good, we wouldn't order there anymore. It's a real shame.

Truly delicious Indian food. We love going here and even had our buffet at our wedding there. It was AMAZING! The value for money is top-notch. You get a good portion for your money – especially at lunch until 3 p.m.!

Update: We went there again and it was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Payment via PayPal is also possible!

We've ordered from here several times, both through Lieferando and their website (it's significantly cheaper, and the website is also pretty and easy to navigate), and we're always incredibly happy. The food is delicious, the garlic naan is a must with every order, and the portions are large enough that we usually have enough for lunch or dinner the next day. We'll be back again and again ♡

Delicious buffet on Wednesdays for €9.90. But it's also worth a visit at other times, as there are many specials on site. Family-friendly and authentic.

Do not expect a fancy or modern ambience here in this restaurant. The taste of the food was okay. But I can say that they were freshly prepared for us that day. The person who is working there (Waheed) that day was very friendly, kind and have a lot of patience. I have clearly seen that he is very patient about the continuous questions by a customer even though she didnot order anything and left. We have ordered butter naan, tandoori naan, and paneer Karahi. The naans were extremely good. The curry taste was okay. Mango lassi was not so good. I can say you can visit as you donot find restaurants in the afternoon as they were closed surprisingly in Duisburg.

It's my favorite restaurant. Family-friendly and authentic. The prices are the same as they are these days, but there are many specials. On Wednesdays, there's also a buffet again for €9.90. My favorite dish is Punjabi chicken.

I ordered butter chicken and naan. The naan was good but butter chicken is so bad. It doesn't even taste good. I spent 18 euros on the Butter Chicken and there were only 5 pieces of chicken in it. Please do not purchase anything from this restaurant. Worst restaurant ever.

Very tasty food, top service, always on time and a very nice delivery service. Everything was fresh, well packaged and arrived warm. You can tell that the cooking here is done with love. Absolutely recommended - gladly again!

Best Indian food in Duisburg. The chefs are very nice and the food is incredibly tasty. When I ordered online there were sometimes mix-ups, but you can just call and mistakes are human. But that never changed the quality of the food and so I wasn't disappointed at all.

We waited a long time for the food. I had previously heard a lot of good things about the store and was unfortunately disappointed, as was my companion. My dish was very tomatoey and seasoned too mildly for my taste.

This place does not deserve even one star!!! This place is a scam. We ordered Mango curry which tasted like mashed baby food that was just added to a non flavored chicken and was not even properly cooked. The butter chicken tasted like spicy ketchup. The onion Pakora was the biggest scam, we've got a fast food onion rings. Absolutely ridiculous!! Thy need to be shut down. Stay away from this "restaurant "!!!!!!!!

The Punjabi Pfanne is more of a snack bar than a classic restaurant, which is particularly reflected in the ambience. Anyone looking for coziness or a special atmosphere will be disappointed here. However, the taste of the food is convincing: the dishes are authentic, fresh and delicious. The quality is quite good, especially for the price, so the price-performance ratio is good. During our visit there was only one person responsible for cooking and serving, which made the entire operation seem somewhat improvised. This resulted in longer wait times and an overall somewhat disorganized experience. Conclusion: Suitable for a quick, tasty snack, but if you are looking for a full-fledged restaurant with a harmonious overall experience, you could expect a little more.

Staff is very cooperative and customer friendly, you can get food with readjustment in menu also.you can park outside swimming pool.samosa and fresh pakora with tea in winter gives feeling like you are in home country.

In my opinion the best Indian restaurant in the area! The food is always delicious, my husband tried all of the chicken main courses and I am a huge fan of the palak paneer. At first you might think "it's just spinach and cheese", but it's just so deliciously seasoned and prepared that you can't recreate it yourself. The service is also great and there are sometimes really good offers, e.g. main courses for half the price (when picked up).

Wow, we are absolutely thrilled! My boyfriend and I ate there at some point last year and it was okay - it tasted pretty good, but it didn't blow our socks off enough to make us go there again. Today there was this offer where you can get all vegan & vegetarian dishes for half price, so we thought we'd give the shop another chance. And what can I say, it was absolutely delicious! 🧡 Please, please make offers like today more often! Especially as a new mom with a small baby, you don't always find the time to cook in the evening and this is really a great alternative! Of course, the ½ price makes it doubly attractive if you currently only receive parental allowance 😊

Punjabi stir fry is our favorite Indian dish! We've probably ordered here 20 times and we've never had any problems. On the contrary: we sometimes get extras for free. We like the food very tasty. For us, no other Indian restaurant in the area comes close. The delivery time is relatively long, but since we now know this, we always order early enough. Our friends also always thought the food was great. The staff is also really friendly every time.

I have ordered here twice now and had disappointing experiences both times. The first time the order came 20 minutes late, which forced me to hurry up with the food as I was running out of time. The food was tasty, but the service was already questionable. Today I ordered again and the delivery driver is over an hour late. Every time I called I was told the driver would be there in 2-3 minutes. These repeated false promises are simply unacceptable. No matter how good the food is, such unreliable service is unacceptable. Sorry, but I definitely won't order here again.

The quality has deteriorated significantly. Where back then you got an extra side salad as standard, today you have to pay €2. With the fried starter there was usually also a salad in the compartment provided in the delivery box. That was missing too. At that time I ordered a yoghurt dip (raita) for €2.50; You got a huge box and it was/is really tasty. Today you don't even get half as much for the price. It's a real shame, I've often ordered there and enjoyed it, but the restaurant lacks attention to detail and love for the customer. Not recommended

A mediocre restaurant in the Neudorf district. His prices are at Düsseldorf level. A critical look at the performance is therefore permitted. On May 2nd, 2024 I ate there, where I first noticed the monotonous, loud music. The lentil soup was very oily and very reddish in color. The ginger chicken was OK in terms of quantity, but the meat tasted warmed up. The rice was a little frayed. My recommendation to the operator: pay a little more attention to good quality.

I recently tried Restaurant Punjabi Pfanne, and it was a huge letdown. The food was terrible – the paneer tikka masala tasted like ketchup mixed with some paneer, and the Punjabi Biryani had no flavor at all. Plus, the staff were really mean and unfriendly. Save yourself the disappointment and find somewhere else to eat!

Went there spontaneously quite late in the evening yesterday, Mango Lässig is super tasty, the naan is a dream and I also thought the butter chicken was great! It tastes completely fresh and simply satisfying 😍 Price performance is also more than fair, I'll be happy to come back.

Today I was there with 3 guests from India at around 1:10 p.m. The food was on the table in a flash, I had curry chicken for €13.50. So I was thrilled, I really enjoyed it.

The food was totally boring!!! No spices at all. I ordered some veg curry, but got tomato sauce. I asked for spicy, but it was not spicy at all, even not salty. The papadam sauce was more like a sauce for salad.

The environment, furnishings and presentation of the food are quite simple, so our expectations weren't too high - but we were extremely positively surprised. The preparation of the food took around 30 minutes because everything was freshly prepared and you can watch the chef thanks to the half-open kitchen. First there was Indian bread Naan and Papadaan with the salad as a starter, and to drink the Indian yoghurt drink Mango Lassi, which tasted really delicious and refreshing and was quite inexpensive at €2.90. The last main courses served were perfectly prepared, both the rice and the mostly marinated meat and the delicious, well-seasoned sauces. The portions were very large, even the sauce was sufficient, which is where many restaurants save money. Since we tried them crosswise, both the baked tandoori chicken, the chicken tikka masala and the curry mango chicken tasted excellent and the dishes were also quite inexpensive at €9-11. If you can do without fancy gourmet restaurants, you will find great Indian cuisine here at relatively affordable prices, where other Indians are up to twice as expensive. We now really enjoy eating there when in Duisburg

Ordered Onion Pakoda on the menu and they have served fried frozen onion rings with cheese mustard sauce. That's far from being Indian. Served Fish Tikka (main course) before onion pakoda (starter) and didn't mention the dish is actually fish which was quite misleading in terms of looks.

We ordered Mutton curry and chicken curry. Masala and curry tasted the same. It seemed that the pieces were added in the same curry and served. Mango lassi was way too sweet and watery. Ambience was poorly kept. It was stinky inside. No ventilation. Staff was least bothered or interested to know for customers requirement. Not much recommended for Indian taste cravers.

Authentisch indische Gerichte, einfach und lecker 😋

Lieferung hat über 1,5 Stunden gedauert und dann kam Lamm Palak, statt des bestellten Lachs Palak. Wäre sehr lecker gewesen, wenn man Lamm mögen würde😢..., ich hatte nicht ohne Grund Lachs bestellt. Danach verschwand Lamm auch von der Karte, ich hatte den Eindruck die Reste mussten weg. War schon sehr enttäuscht, vor allem, da ich sonst sehr begeistert von dem Essen bin!

Mein Lieblingsrestaurant, da das Essen einmalig lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend ist. Tatsächlich bin ich als Kunde froh, dass dieses Restaurant in Duisburg ist und immer noch ein Geheimtipp für ansässige bleibt, die gute orientalische Küche bevorzugen, denn in Essen oder Düsseldorf würde man schnell keinen Tisch mehr kriegen.

Essen wurde um halb 9 bestellt, und mit Pay Pal bezahlt. Geliefert wurde dann um viertel nach 10. Leider wurde aber die Hälfte vergessen. Ist ärgerlich aber kann passieren. Also haben wir angerufen und uns wurde versichert, dass fehlende Gerichte innerhalb von 30 min geliefert würden. 1 Stunde später ist immer noch nichts eingetroffen. Mittlerweile ist es viertel nach 11. Wir rufen an und kriegen bestätigt, dass der Fahrer unterwegs sei. Eine dreiste Lüge wie sich herausgestellt hat. Das Essen wurde stand viertel nach 12 nicht geliefert, das Restaurant ist nicht mehr zu erreichen, da geschlossen. Also wer Lust hat, sich gewaltig verarschen zu lassen, sollte hier unbedingt bestellen! :)

Viel Auswahl an Essen, Preise sind in Ordnung, Bedienung kann zwar kein perfektes Deutsch, hat aber keine Probleme bereitet was die Kommunikation angeht, innendrin interessantes außergewöhnliches Ambiente.

Very average food. Prices higher than other establishments and food not worth the extra money. Chicken Tikka masala had chicken that was not marinated or grilled. The rice in the biryani was very mushy and overcooked and in general had very little flavour. The Naan bread was a baked pizza base.

Sauce wird vermutlich nicht frisch zubereitet. Das erste Mal das mir ein indisches Gericht Kein bisschen geschmeckt hat. Habe seitdem magen schmerzen und migräne. Und das kommt wenn man zeug aus der Dose bekommt. Bin sehr enttäuscht. Definitiv nie wieder hier.
