Punjab Food Corner in Berlin

The employees are very cheeky and mostly don't even speak German. It's purely a matter of luck whether I get my food or not and when it does come, the taste is absolutely underwhelming. The only reason why I order there every now and then is the long opening hours. Luckily, I've never had pieces of glass in my food there, but it doesn't seem to be a rarity. All in all, the store is not recommended.

We ordered 4 different curries, all essentially tasted the same. Mine definitely had Lamb in it, the others could not identify the meat. How we ended up here is a mystery. The one star is for being open at 1am. Please avoid if at all possible 🙏

Ordered a biriyani and the guy just fried some rice and added some chicken pieces right in front my eyes. Price is also extremely expensive considering the quality of food My worst Biriyani experience ever. This is no where close to how a biriyani should be prepared. Please consider before you order Biriyani here!

I've never been to a restaurant, but have had food delivered four times so far. The Mattar Paneer and Bhatura always tasted delicious. The delivery time was usually met and the suppliers were very nice, although many of them couldn't speak German, but you could communicate in English.

If you can’t deliver plz don’t take orders and waste our time and we had been waiting for 1 hour just to know that you cancelled the order. It’s a shame. Atleast have the courtesy to call early and inform or a text message. DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND

Ordered food around Midnight but they didn’t deliver. Also charged full and denied refund by openly saying that I can compaint wherever I want.. Please never order or visit this restaurant. Punjabi guy who attended the call at night was very rude and missbehaving.

Worst restaurant ever, i did bad review about the driver , he came to my home and screamed at me at 2:30 AM in the hallway disturbing all the neighbours. And i ordered again and requested for another driver they said they can not deliver to me because i complained about driver . Please don’t waste your time and money when you’re ordering late night or anytime. You can order from Darbar restaurant as they have better food and drivers with good behaviours . Drivers from this restaurant will ask you to come downstairs and if you don’t go down he will come up and throw your food . We are paying them not to come to go downstairs by ourselves.

Don’t order online … don’t go there neither. Cut off the phone when you try to reach them while waiting for more than hours for food.

Nach zwei Stunden auf die Lieferung warten habe ich dann mal angerufen: "Oh, ja der Bon ist hier, wir würden das dann jetzt fertig machen, sry." Dann brauchen sie es auch nicht mehr liefern...

One star is also too much for this restaurant. It’s just another Indian restaurant in Berlin that you just should NOT try! It’s rather better to eat a Döner or something than pay for any food from this place. It was a huge mistake to order something from here but never again!

Top Service (Delivery), leckeres Essen!

Delivery service is very bad I ordered food and colleague said me food come in 30 minutes and I wait for my food and I will not get on time and I tried to call to the restaurant and said me we don't know why delivery man is not coming and what is this.

Zum Restaurant kann ich nicht so viel sagen, da wir uns das Essen immer liefern lassen. Bisher war das Essen immer super lecker! Wenn du scharf bestellt, bekommst du auch scharf! =) Lieferung geht immmer rucki zucki und die Lieferanten sind sehr nett. Bisher das beste beste Knobi-Naan!

The taste and quality of the food is questionable. I ordered a Dal Tarka which had rajma (kidney beans) in it. This is the first time I saw dal tarka like this.

Da hätte ich auch einfach das Geld essen können was ich dafür ausgegeben habe hätte ich wahrscheinlich weniger Krankheiten bekommen das würd ich nicht mal meinem Exfreund antun das Essen absolute entpfehlung!!!

Leute passt auf !!!!!hab letze Biss gemacht und dann hab ich was komisches in meinem Mund gefüllt also irgendwas hat mit geschnitten…ich habe Glass Stück gefunden…wo ich angerufen habe und meinte was das soll der man meinte nur ja müssen sie sich beschweren bei Liferando …ich habe noch nie sowas erlebt in meinem Leben!!!!

Leider ist mein Essen auch nach 2 1/2 Stunden nicht angekommen. Meine Anrufe wurden auch nicht beantwortet. Absolutes no Go! Ich rate jedem hier lieber nichts zu bestellen! Ich würde gern das Essen bewerten nur ist es nie angekommen!!!

Schade dass man nicht 0 Sterne geben kann. Wir haben 2 Stunden vergeblich auf das Essen gewartet. Doch es kam nichts an. Nach 1,5 Stunden habe ich angerufen und gefragt wo unsere Bestellung bleibt. Und wurde gesagt der Fahrer ist unterwegs (ca 5-10 min Fahrweg). 15 Minuten später rief ich erneut an um nochmal nach zu fragen, nun sollte der Lieferant unten im Hotel stehen. Ich ging runter um es mir abzuholen, doch es war niemand da. Ich habe also nach 2 Stunden ein 3. und letztes mal angerufen. Es wurde mir dann gesagt das zu dieser Adresse nichts bestellt wurde. Die Ausrede war dass Lieferando nicht funktionierte. Also alles sehr wiedersprüchlich. Ich werde dort nie wieder bestellen!

Ordered through liferando. Delivery was quick. But the rice smelled strange and the lamb was very dry. The naan could be better. I don't understand how they had 1.8k reviews but have this quality of food. please fix the food even if it means raising prices

Delivery: Rice was served instead of bhatura and food was served with onion and garlic even though it was mentioned in the note to cook without onion and garlic, also we have called after order just to notify again

Das Essen war völlig in Ordnung, jedoch das Curry meiner Meinung nach etwas zu wässrig. Ich hab auf jeden Fall schon deutlich besser indisch gegessen. Essen kam warm und ordentlich verpackt hier an. Die Portionen waren leider sehr klein und ich spreche hier von allem also Curry, Batura sowie dem Reis. Dafür leider alles tu teuer. Vorallem vom Reis war ungewöhnlich wenig dabei, sodass man auf jeden Fall noch ein Nebenspeiße bestellen sollte. Ein Pluspunkt sind noch die langen Öffnungszeiten. Sollte es also mal wirklich spät werden, kann man den Laden gerne mal testen. Ansonsten würde ich lieber woanders essen.

Food is bland, undercooked and swimming in oil and cream. Does not taste like indean food at all.

I am from India and I have lived in Dubai for 3 years, it makes me a good judge of Indian food. The curry though it was mentioned spicy in the app, it was not spicy at all, even my Bosnian friend said same thing (so it's not that I am from India and my spice tolerance is high and I don't feel it). Also too much oil, for anyone non-indian eating food here our food is not this oily these people don't know how to cook and should really fire their chef or close down the shop. The curry was like water or soup and not really a curry and the meat (we ordered Lamb Jalferazi) had hardly any lamb in it. And bread was also really bad. I would ask them to change their name from "Punjab food Corner", I don't think they have right to ruin the name of "Punjab" state. I am sorry for the harsh words it's just I am really mad to eat terrible Indian food after a while and it turned out this bad.

Das Naan Brot war zwar etwas trocken, aber das restliche Essen war so gut, dass ich trotzdem 5 Sterne vergeben kann, unglaublich lecker!

Essen schmeckt Top kann ich nur weiterempfehlen, die Lieferzeit ist auch Top und sehr freundliches Personal. Immer wieder gern:)

I saw/smelled this place on my way back from a work delivery. I needed a real pick-me-up because I just felt kind of tired/burned out. So I ducked in quickly to ask until what time the shop would be open. Several steaming cauldrons of stewing curry are in there, it reeks of spices and there's a few guys behind the counter, but the old boss runs the show. If you have been in Germany for awhile but still cannot get a properly hot and spicy curry, this is the place to go. He will ask how hot you want the hot dishes, and you can request mild ones to be more spicy. Chicken Madras, Aloo Raita (side dish/apptizer) to soften the burn, and a mango lassi to put the experience to rest will set you back between 13 and 17 euros, but I'd say it's worth it.

tinda madala was tooooo oily, the Gemüse biryani was not worth the price at all, too simple, not tastey.

This was unfortunately the worst curry I've ever ordered. The naan and poppadom were wrapped in foil and had clearly been warmed up from a packet and had a nasty taste for being wrapped in it. Very disappointed this wasn't cooked from scratch in the restaurant as all other Indians have done before. The rice and curry was clearly lazily made too and tasted like a shop bought tin. However the slices of chicken were incredibly big and onion and red pepper cut very big. The rest was just the shop bought sauce. Again very lazy and average. If you like British Indian never go here is my recommendation. Surprised someone else said to but maybe they make food differently at different times. But when I had this, not good. Would not recommend

Delivery: Taste 2/5, Speed 4/5, Service 5/5. Bathura was good, Butter chicken was okisch, mango Lassi was disgusting and looked like it was colored... Delivery, Service 10/10 ? Yes, the guy from Lieferando took my trash out <3

Sehr ungesund, kein Geschmack, sehr klein und vor allem Teuer. Schlimmster Restaurant der Welt !!!! Verschwindet euer Geld und Gesundheit nicht !!! Es gibt so vieles schlimmes zu sagen.

Als erstes: bestelltes Essen war ganz ok. Deshalb der eine Stern. Leider war es fast kalt als es bei mir ankam, da der Fahrer keine Ahnung hatte wo er hin musste. Er rief an, er konnte kein Deutsch und ich nur gebrochen Englisch. Ich versuchte ihm zu erklären das er auf der falschen Seite des Kiezes ist. (15 min Fußweg) Dann sagte ich ihm er solle dort stehen bleiben, ich hole es mir selbst ab. Angekommen bedankte dieser sich zwar das ich ruhig geblieben bin aber im Endeffekt hat er seine Arbeit nicht ausgeführt. Er hatte die Adresse weit verfehlt, ließ sich nicht erklären wie er dahin kommen könnte und beklagte sich dann noch darüber dass er mit der anderen Lieferung nun verspätet ist.

Wir hatten echt Lust auf indisch...leider war es dann anderes gekommen.Nach fast zwei Std und mehreren Ausreden(das Auto hätte eine Panne) war das Essen da. Es war warm und schmeckte ok,nur kenn ich Chicken Curry und Co anderes und dafür war es echt teuer!! Sorry!

Horrible service! Ordered through Leiferando and waited 2 hours for the food to arrive. It never did come even though Leiferando was saying 'Food Delivered'. Called them twice and could barely understand what the employee was saying. Horrible and will never be ordering from them again. Service spoke volumes about who they are and I would not recommend anyone to a place which does not seem to care about their customers.

Habe schon wesentlich besser indisch gegessen (Zaika). Paneer Jalfrezi sehr langweilig und merkwürdige Konsistenz, unpassende Gewürze, die unangenehm herausstechen, Schärfe eher Mittel, Brot pappig. Soßen vorab auch nicht besonders lecker. Nächstem Morgen mit schlimmen Bauchschmerzen und Übelkeit aufgewacht. An der Schärfe (eher Mittel und ich bin scharf gewohnt) kann es nicht gelegen haben. Rate daher ab!

Habe dort bisher nur bestellt und es ist echt sehr lecker. Chicken ist super zart, saucen sind sehr lecker und großzügig. Das Naan gefällt mir persönlich nicht so gut (zu "fest"), aber das Bhatura ist super. Bei manch einer 1-Sterne Bewertung frage ich mich ehrlich, ob das nicht der ein oder andere Konkurrent ist.

I don't think these guys don't even know how to make Indian food—hopeless taste with more onion and Capricorn with the hopeless flavour of taste. Cleanliness is below average. This restaurant will be my last place on the planet that I would like to eat food here.

Ich habe vorher noch nie indisches Essen probiert. Erste Lieferung war ne absolute Katastrophe. Ente "Kross" bestellt, geliefert wurde 3 Stück Fleisch in einer Tomaten Sauce. Ente KROSS ? Der Betrieb hat sich dann, nach meiner schlechten Bewertung über Lieferando, bei mir ohne Aufforderung selbständig gemeldet und angeboten mir KOSTENLOS das bestellte Essen erneut zukommen zu lassen, WOW? War zwar immer noch Fleisch in einer Tomatensauce und für meine Begriffe nix "Kross" aber war auf jeden Fall um einiges mehr an Fleisch drin. Nächste Bestellung, Butter Chicken, Sauce war sehr lecker auch ordentlich Fleisch drin, aber das ist alles irgendwie das selbe. Speisen in einer "Tomaten ähnlichen Sauce", Naja wenn das die indische Art ist hab ich was gelernt, war aber sehr lecker.

If you're British and looking for the type of curry you would get back home, this place smashes it out of the park - not found a better one in the area. Most places dont use very good meat, but this place does. Have only had takeaway, so cant comment on restaurant experience, but food wise, it's a solid choice!

Just terrible; Food kinda came in time (took about 40 minutes), but the food was disaster. Butter chicken was pieces of chicken put together with soggy raw paprika and tasteless tomato base.

I ordered online two dishes (lamb and chicken) and bread (bhatura), everything was incredibly good and still very warm, in a decent package. The taste was delicious as well, congratulations for the staff 💯🤗 I will definitely order more during this Corona phase 🤷🏼‍♂️

Portionen für den Preis zu klein und Bestellung wird nicht richtig auf dem Wunsch entsprechend zubereitet z. B. : es fehlt was oder sachen die weg bleiben sollen sind trotzdem mit dabei +Sachen die man nicht definieren kann nicht entfehlendswert dieses Restaurant!!!!

The order was almost 2 hours. When we called the restaurant kept hanging up on us, super rude then the guy asked us “where are you from”. Like it matters how racist! And also there was an item missing that we never got. After the meal, I got sick. HORRIBLE.

Below average cooking. Ordered a Paneer Jalfrezi with butter naan. The dish should be renamed as Paneer-less Jalfrezi. The same applies to the naan. The butter could barely be seen on it.

Pretty amazed to have punjabi taste even thousands mile away from punjab. I wish to have same taste in rome as well. Very Much recommended 👍

The food is really nice. Maybe a bit hotter than we have had at other Indian restaurants in the local area. I was surprised that they were charging almost the same as other restaurants in the area given that there is only really a little table to sit at practically in the middle of the kitchen. It's more like a place to sit whilst you wait on your pick up takeaway. Other restaurant have nice, done up areas. Would buy the food again but to take away rather than sit in.

Tasty, but pretty average indian cooking. The naan I order did not seem like it was homemade or very fresh, which is a shame, because I'd love a place in Fhain with great fresh naan. You won't make a mistake eating here, though, especially takeaway.

Die bestellten Speisen waren sehr zufrieden stellend. Doch das Ambiente lässt stark zu wünschen übrig. Trotzdem werde ich auf jeden Fall in der Zukunft dort wieder essen/bestellen.

Dieser kleine Food Corner macht optisch kaum was her, also zum Candle light dinner ist das definitiv nichts. Dafür ist die Bedienung gut und der Koch erfüllt gern extrawünsche. Der Preis ist fair. Alles in allem würde ich gern mehr Sterne geben aber da ist. Ich Luft nach oben. Dennoch thumbs up, macht weiter Ihr seid auf dem richtigen Weg.

Maximal ok (Lieferung). Deutlich überbewertet hier. Käse Naan z.B unausgewogen (Käse zu wenig und zu sauer), Nachspeise viel zu süß, Hauptspeisen ok, wenn auch zu viel Soße und zu wenig der Hauptzutat. Konsistenz des Soja ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig, da recht zäh. Meine Schulnote: 3,5

This place has recently opened (22nd Mar 2019), and this is the closest I have come to finding *good* Indian cooking. The rice is very fragrant and dishes remind me of how my mother cooks. It isn't as spicy as she makes things but it is very close.
