Wir hatten ein köstliches Essen mit sieben Personen in diesem indonesischen Restaurant, was wir auf den ersten Blick nicht erwartet hatten. Auch der Service war gut.

Service war miserabel und unfreundlich zudem mussten wir 45min auf unser Essen warten. Als wir das Essen bekamen war dies so gut wie kalt und schmeckte ziemlich lasch. In meiner Spezi war außerdem keine Kohlensäure. Zusätzlich war ich sehr überrascht als wir am Ende indirekt aufgefordert wurden zu bezahlen und zu gehen. Ich empfehle das Restaurant keinem, nicht zu empfehlen!!!! Sogar auf dem Fernseher konnte man leider auch nur mit 15 Sekunden Verzögerung und schlechter Auflösung Fußball schauen

Rechnen Sie den Gesamtbetrag unbedingt selbst nach, da dort gerne mal 2–3 € zu viel berechnet werden. Die Preise in der Happy Hour sind von 4,50 € auf 6 € gestiegen!

Schlechte Erfahrung, es ist besser, wenn ich nicht sage, warum…

Wir waren hier um ein Bier zu trinken und haben Helles bestellt, Weizen bekommen. Unmittelbar darauf angesprochen meinte der Kellner das sei dasselbe und fragte ob ich aus Deutschland käme. Etwas anderes wurde nicht angeboten und wir mussten es zahlen.

Sehr lecker beim Inder, etwas schärfer hätte es sein können und das Essen etwas heißer. Sonst perfekte Alkoholfreie Cocktails, nettes Personal und ein schöner Beobachtungsplatz mit Blick auf die Straße und Fussgängerweg.

Dieses Restaurant ist einfach nur schlecht, das Essen war widerlich, der Service unprofessionell. Wir haben das Essen nicht angerührt. Unhygienische Zustände. Die Toilette war ekelhaft. Dieser Laden muss dringend vom Lebensmittelamt überprüft werden!

Ich bin fassungslos. Ich war lange nicht bei ein Inder so der so lecker geschmeckt hat das Ambiente, die Hygiene alles war perfekt. Ich kann Butter Chicken sehr empfehlen. Es war lecker und weiter zu empfehlen. Die Kellner waren höflich nett und nicht extremistisch, wir mussten die Tische nicht selbst zusammen schieben

Also nach langer Zeit weiß ich wieder, was Heimat für mich bedeutet. Ich bin halb indisch und halb deutsch. Ich habe lange nicht in so einem vorzüglich guten Laden mehr gegessen. Ich habe mich gefühlt, als hätte meine Mutter nach der Schule als ich fünf war für mich gekocht. Nico Schultz sagt dass das Restaurant nur zum Ein Besuch geeignet ist. dies Ganze entspricht nicht der Wahrheit. Ich finde, es sind außerordentlich angebracht, wenn man eine Restaurant immer zweimal besucht. die Toiletten waren ebenfalls sauberer als bei mir zuhause

Schamlose Betrüger! Es werden Drinks doppelt berechnet selbst wenn diese zwischendurch bezahlt wurden. Wenn man diese nicht doppelt zahlen möchte wird einem verweigert das Gebäude zu verlassen. Wenn man dort anruft wird aufgelegt sobald man das Word Rechnung erwähnt und danach wird man ignoriert. Hier geh ich sicherlich nie wieder hin und rate jeden dringlichst davon ab hier sein geld zu lassen. Es handelt sich um Betrüger, beim nächsten mal wird die Polizei gerufen!

Das Essen war super und für den Preis waren es große Portionen. Die Cocktails waren für unter 5 € sehr preiswert und auch geschmacklich gut und voll. Aber am allerbesten war der Service. Wir wurden von Yashna bedient und ich habe selten (v.A. in Berlin) so eine nette, freundliche und zuvorkommende Bedienung gehabt. Das einzige weniger gute waren die Toiletten, die waren leider dreckig, defekt und der Geruch ging Zeitweise strak ins Restaurant. Das würde ich mir Verbesserung wünschen.

Leider nicht mehr so gut wie früher. Sehr laute Musik drinnen und die Bedienung unterhält sich quer durch das ganze Restaurant. Unser Essen kam zwar relativ schnell, aber wir mussten dann 5 min auf den Reis warten. Früher gab's auch immer einen kleinen Salat zum Menü dazu. Die Toiletten sollte man auch meiden. Der schlimmste Laden in Berlin! Die Kellnerin wollte uns kein Bier verkaufen und zwang uns, Cocktails zu nehmen (während an den anderen Tischen Bier getrunken wurde). Die Cocktails waren nicht die, die wir bestellt hatten, und bestanden fast nur aus Alkohol. Sie machen sich über Touristen lustig und strecken die Cocktails mit Wasser. Und es ist dreckig.

Sehr unhöflicher Service, sowohl beim Bestellen, wie auch beim zahlen, hier wurde uns die Rechnung hingeknallt und schonmal automatisch etwas Trinkgeld einbehalten… geht überhaupt nicht.

Musste nach besuch kotzen. Kotze sieht genauso aus wie mein drink. Außerdem wurden wir angelogen das wir ab 10€ mit karte zahlen dürfen, mussten aber trotzdem bar zahlen.

absolute voll Katastrophe. Nehmen ausschließlich Barzahlung, worauf nicht im folgenden hingewiesen worden ist, die Tische sind abgereist, das Essen nicht lecker. Absolut nicht empfehlenswert.

Hat eigentlich keinen Stern verdient. Die Heizung im Laden ist kaputt, von Sauberkeit ganz zu schweigen. Die Karten wurden seit Jahren nicht gewechselt und kleben als hätte man damit den Boden gewischt. Die Bedienung wirkt gelangweilt, das Besteck war nicht sauber. Bei einem anderen Besuch hatte der Kellner versucht und Getränke zahlen zu lassen, die wir nicht bestellt haben. Die Suppe war nicht gesalzen, das Hauptgericht hat geschmeckt, als wäre das der Zuckerstreuer reingefallen, im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes ein Reinfall. ICH RATE JEDEM AUSDRÜCKLICH DAVON AB, IN DIESEM LADEN ETWAS ZU BESTELLEN, EIN KLAREN FALL FÜR DAS GESUNDHEITSAMT !!!

1 Stern ist schon zuviel- Service total überfordert, Non-Alkoholisches Getränk kommt an den Tisch- mit Alkohol. Auf Nachfrage sollte für das vom Service falsch aufgenommene Getränk noch gezahlt werden. Wurden nachdem wir ordnungsgemäß gezahlt haben, von einer anderen Servicekraft noch bezichtigt die Zeche zu prellen. Service und Kundenfreundlichkeit wird hier klein geschrieben- wirklich grottig. Wer einen netten Abend/Essen haben möchte sollte um dieses Lokal einen Bogen machen.

The coctails is terrible. We ordered kamasutra and they gave us just water syrup. They added ice half of the glasses and you pay 7 euro for 200 ml coctail. You dont feel drink alcohol when you try it. Terrible place!

This place reminds me more of those TikTok videos of Indian street food. Pretty unhygienic. From the menu to the toilets. We were in the separate room, which clearly hadn't been cleaned in days, just like the rest of the place. The cocktails were cheap, but had very little alcohol in them. The bill was just slammed down, even though we wanted to pay separately.

This restaurant is only suitable for a one-time visit. Dirty toilets, clogged sinks. The food was okay, but not very good. The service was completely overwhelmed. Cash only, and this is 2025!! No reservation needed, it's usually empty.

We had to push the tables together ourselves. The waiters were extremely rude from the very beginning. I have never experienced such poor and impolite service, and we were shocked. As a group, we first ordered all seven mango mojitos. Every single one was different and simply bad. Some of them tasted like water mixed with alcohol. The next cocktails we ordered were exactly the same. We also found plastic in our cocktails! The waiter then tipped himself without asking. I honestly cannot recommend this place at all. I work as a waitress myself, but there is no understanding for such rude and insolent behavior. I am shocked.

The cocktails were terrible. We ordered whisky sours… but what a disappointment! The drinks were watered down like syrup. And as we were leaving, the owner threatened me because he thought I was leaving without paying. Don't we have the right to go outside for some fresh air?

We were a group of nine at this bar and asked if there was space. We were assured there was, but then we had to arrange tables ourselves. We also waited over 30 minutes for a few drinks… Outrageous for the price!

You have to push your own seats together here and wait 40 minutes for drinks, only to receive the wrong ones. When we politely pointed out the mistake, they simply emptied the old glass and poured the new one into the same glass! The glasses are dirty, and we're completely ignored. It doesn't deserve one star, as it took three attempts to get our drinks sorted out! It's a real shame; we wanted to give it a chance.

The food was great. The restrooms desperately need to be renovated. The menus are so tattered and sticky, they urgently need to be replaced – also for hygiene reasons. It doesn't cost the earth 😉

Will not take card. They told us at the end of service. Do not go especially tourists

Honestly, given the previous reviews, I feel like throwing up. Luckily, the cocktails were good and not expensive AT ALL (we're talking half the price compared to the surrounding bars) and the welcome was perfect!! I'll be back tomorrow!! Good luck to the team, you are gods, as a well-known brand would say: JUST DO IT

The service was awful. We asked for wine and it came with bugs!! The beer was stale and the mojitos were almost water. Never coming back! Oh, almost forgot about the fries. Gross too.

My friends and I were all ripped off. The waiter charged us all a much higher price and didn't give us the full change. The food was not good and the place was not clean. I would not recommend it at all.

Good evening, dear friends of Indian food! We were sitting alone. Then the waiter came (friendly but not pushy). We ordered drinks, and they arrived. They were mojitos, a work of art created by humanity. We drank them, and they tasted as they should. A warm summer night in the middle of East Berlin 😌 Enough with all the poetry, from now on just facts. The cook occasionally nibbled from the saucepan. Furthermore, you were watched while eating as if you were pre-reunification (Stasi). The toilets were disgusting (full of flies and excrement). Nevertheless, it can be said that the place has a nice vibe, typical of Fhain. The farewell was very sincere and emotional, but appropriate to the situation, and the Amberteam wished us a nice weekend. Thank you for the great service and relaxed atmosphere! The drinks were amazing, and one of the employees (sorry, I don't know her name) was particularly friendly and welcoming – that made our visit a truly pleasant one. We'd love to come back!

Super relaxed drinks bar area, nice and dark, everything very pleasant. I brought my own chair because it's simply more comfortable, and it wasn't a problem. We really enjoyed the evening there. I can't say anything about the drinks or food, we didn't have any – but all in all: really great.

Just one sentence, go somewhere else!! The Fhain offers so much more! First impressions: wash your hands quickly. The restrooms all smell strongly of urine, four of them broken or had urine up to the top. The menus were dirty, frayed, and the pages were stuck together. Very unmotivated staff. The food was average to bad. And very expensive, too.

We went around 12, a very Mediterranean time for a humble snack. We sat inside next to a window and were humbly allowed to smoke next to said window. We ordered two mojitos and a cocktail whose name I can't remember, but it was delicious; it had a hint of lychee and grenadine. They lit a candle for us, creating a pleasant and intimate atmosphere for us to exchange a few cards, chat with the kids, or whatever was necessary. The gentlemen who run this restaurant were incredibly friendly and let us spend a good amount of time chatting. The cocktails were listed at 4.9 euros, but upon reading the menu, we realized they were more expensive, and 4.9 euros was for happy hour. However, they charged us as if we were there during that same hour. They're not trying to take advantage of tourists, but rather to provide a pleasant and intimate experience in a very bohemian area of Berlin. There was an ambulance at the door because a kid had been hit by a car next to him, and that put him at a disadvantage, but in the end, it's not the fault of the people who run the place. A highly recommended place in Berlin for food, drinks, and whatever else comes up.

The worst burger I've ever had in my life. I left feeling like I'd been cheated, I don't know why. My husband hated the Indian food he ordered. The fries tasted awful; I don't know how you can go wrong with a fried potato. I couldn't bring myself to try the house special sauce or the mayonnaise!

Extremely disgusting and run-down! The staff was unfriendly and barely spoke German. We had to order in English, which wasn't a problem in itself. However, we still couldn't understand it. The interior was absolutely filthy, and the restrooms were almost impossible to enter. They reminded us of filthy train station toilets. The glasses were dirty and definitely not freshly flushed. The food was not good!

An experience... Happy hour cocktails cost €4.40-€4.90 on the signs, and the menu advertises "€4.90 all day." Yet each cocktail has a different price. In the end, however, the cocktails were charged at €4.90. The vodka and lemon long drink was the same, and the gin and tonic long drink was €5.50... All of the drinks tasted terrible. The tonic water was replaced by the gin and was subsequently called a gin and tonic. The vodka and lemon was a great lemonade with a hint of vodka. The Mai Tai was pure rum with some juice. A highlight of this place. The waiters made the night even darker with their smiles and great service. The Cash-Only sign in handwriting on the A5 index card at the entrance showed us that we could only pay with cash - this was also only noted on the said index card.

Happy hour. The food wasn't great, but it was tasty, but not Indian.

A total disaster in every respect. Very long wait times, and when we were all finished, our friend was still waiting for his food.

Absolute disaster – worst restaurant visit ever! The food here is a disgrace! We waited forever for our food – and then the wrong food arrived!!! When we complained, all we got were shrugs and annoyed looks. The service was an insult to every paying guest: unfriendly, sloppy, and completely incompetent!! Not to mention the waiters' attire. And the food? Lukewarm, slapped down carelessly – as if they wanted to punish us for even being there. I've rarely experienced such a blatant rip-off! Anyone who goes here can only lose: time, money, and good mood. Stay away – never again!

This bar was a staple for me in my earlier years of living in berlin. But this time it really seemed to let me down. We were a group of three and shared a bowl of nachos, which were extremely disappointing. They were clearly microwaved and the condiments that came were pretty bad. I understand nachos is not the optimal choice for an Indian restaurant and I have had varying success with three curries in the past which is why they get 2 stars for food. The cocktails we got were extremely sweet, too sweet. But cheap so not the end of the world. Perhaps this rating displays more so a change in taste for me than a reflection of the bar itself as on a different night with a different group of people it could get a different rating.

It was okay, the service was fast and the dishes were good.

All the waiters tried to take our order, but no one felt obligated to bring anything. We waited a very long time for something to drink. Otherwise the food was delicious. We were considerate of the area and the rush on Simon thoughtt str, but we were still asked for drinks three times, there were enough orders to be placed, but the orders were often not passed on. It's a shame🥺

Very rude and dishonest staff. We asked for a simple glass of water and they gave us the biggest format they had without asking us beforehand what we wanted. When confronted about it all they had to say was “There’s nothing I can do” They advertised 4,90€ cocktails but charged us 5,50€ without ever explaining why. There is no official receipt you can have as everything is written on a piece of paper and all calculations done in the waiters head. The cocktails are watered down and the beer is stale. I would definitely not recommend this place for anyone wishing to have a nice evening in berlin.

When you order the same thing for multiple people they give you a smaller portion all on one plate. I asked for tap water, didn’t get asked what size and they gave me warm tap water in a large (which was 4€) then when I complained the waiter argued with me and left mid conversation

It's better to pay attention to the small print on the window: cash payment only. Ordered three different lunch menus: all the same sauce.

We hadden een tripje met onze school. Kwamen we bij de bar terecht. DONDERS MOOI!!! Geweldige tent we mochten direct aan de muziek en ze waren heel erg relaxed en super gezellig. Goedkope drankjes en super heerlijk!!!

Six of us went there for lunch. Unfortunately, it was nothing special and just average. The waitress unfortunately neglected to check for more drinks and didn't deliver the order.

- Food had metal wires in it (probably from washing the bowls) - Plate was not completely clean - Food only tasted mediocre - a bit dark (even for me as a gen z person)

I really don’t know where to start with this place. They came to the table every freaking minute to ask if we were ready to order, even if we asked for more time, and then they didn’t even bring the exact order. My dish had raisins and almonds in it and it wasn’t written on the menu. What if someone has an allergy? They only accept cash for payment and if they don’t have change…well, it’s your problem!

We ordered a Moscow Mule, then had it returned because it was basically undrinkable. It tasted like grain, the cheapest kind. We ordered an Aperol and there were lip prints on the glasses.

It was very cold in the restaurant. Service was terribly bad - food was there, rice came 10 minutes later, main courses were already cold. Starter arrived 15 minutes AFTER main courses. Waiter didn't know what food he was serving.

A disappointing experience - left the restaurant before ordering We were looking for a cozy restaurant for a good dinner, but Amber immediately put us off. As soon as you walked in, you noticed that the happy hour was more about cocktails than good food. The first impression was not very inviting: the entire restaurant looks straight onto the open toilets. The toilets themselves were reminiscent of a run-down 90s club: graffiti everywhere, an unpleasant smell like a train station toilet and a general uncleanliness that spoiled any appetite. In addition, there is a dark, unappealing atmosphere that does not invite you to linger. The menu was completely overloaded, which doesn't exactly speak for fresh, high-quality cuisine. After this first impression we decided not to stay. Definitely not a recommendation!

We were pulled in from the street, food was bad, toilets disgusting - when paying we were told an amount that was too large than what was on the bill. Waitress gave herself a euro tip.

Additionally, the pricing was confusing and inconsistent, with different prices being quoted (e.g., prices listed outside, on the menu, and the final amount requested by the server). While the service wasn't outright rude, it lacked friendliness and professionalism. Overall, a rather unpleasant experience.

Cult bar from my youth :) There are cheap cocktails. They always have an offer, it's best to ask, it costs €4.90, the rest €5.50. Service is relatively inattentive. Toilets smell so bad. Yes, cocktails aren't great, but as I said, good prices.

So I'm disappointed. Cheap offers but that’s it. I ordered a Hugo and when I received it I was shocked. Flies amidst the mint. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he took the drink, left and came back saying: there were only spots on the mint. That wasn't it; see image. I was nice enough to pay it anyway. But then give yourself a tip without being asked. Outrageous! Never again

Deliberately misleading cocktail prices. The menu and displays say “4.90” in happy hour everywhere. When I paid it was suddenly more and I was informed that it said "from 4.90". The waitress didn't even know which cocktails we had ordered. The actual prices were not advertised anywhere. Seemed very random. Price-performance was still good. But unfortunately you feel ripped off

Location and food are good but cash only. It’s absolutely NoGo

Attended October 2024. We were given an extra drink which we did not order and staff were unhelpful in resolving this, forcing us to keep and pay for the drink which we DID NOT WANT. we did not order it we did not want it but they made us keep it and PAY FOR IT. And the food is too salty. Don’t be fooled by happy hour sign out the front. Not worth the visit 👎👎👎👎👎

I've never eaten so badly. I had it once, it wasn't what I ordered and it was burnt, I sent it back... unfortunately the second attempt wasn't any better. PS: only paying in cash is no longer appropriate

The food was good, the service and attentiveness left a lot to be desired. The waiters were standing on their feet because there were few people. No questions asked, no eye contact. After more than 30 minutes, the dishes were still standing there.

I've been coming here off and on for 3 years and have always really appreciated the low prices. All cocktails are still 4.50 to 4.90 on the stands. When I did the billing, I wanted to pay €20 for 4 cocktails and was insulted stupidly by the cellar. On the menu it says happy hour prices starting at 4.9, but it doesn't say anywhere exactly what it costs. I also have the feeling that the €22 was just taken out of thin air. I was asked stupid questions about whether I could even understand German. I handed him the €20 and left. Always ask exactly how much it really costs, otherwise you'll just end up with stress and the lovely evening will have a bad aftertaste. It's a shame, it was probably my last time here.

The food was so-so. It was plentiful but neither the Bryani nor the Chicken Tandoori were really not very tasty. The men's toilet smelled strongly of urine and wasn't very clean either.

Skip it, food was mid and made my friend sick. Drinks are meh, ordered mojitos with old as s limes. Service was bad. Sad that this restaurant has no integrity or pride in their establishment, feels like they’re there to drain money from their patrons and make you walk away feeling like you overpayed and made the wrong choice. It's so disgusting here, it's not normal

We had a fly in the rice and the food was ordered without vegetables, but was brought with vegetables. The request to remove the rice from the bill or to give a discount was rejected. We were offered alcohol but we didn't want alcohol. The service person was nice but the whole situation was very questionable. We will all never get there again. This concludes Indian cuisine.

I mean like, we got fly in rise and my friend ordered the food without vegetables, but still it was there. When we asked for some discount, manager said that we couldnt get one. Then he offered drinks, but only coke left

Very mediocre restaurant in the middle of Friedrichshain. The food is just ok. But there are dozens of significantly better alternatives on the right and left. The staff is just as friendly. A pity!

Oh well. Nobody can be reached by phone. So in order to make a reservation for a group of people for the evening, I had to come by in person in advance. I find it a bit weak. But it's enough for relaxed and, above all, cheap cocktails. Service so-so... but I think it's okay for the prices.

Happy Hour is a joke there. We payed way more than it was given in the menu. I guess the Waiter gave himself a tip of 5€ because the drinks should be in total 10€ and not 15€!! My cocktail was gross and the mojito didn’t even taste like alcohol at all.. it was literally just a Limonade. Can’t recommend at all

Well... Unfortunately the starter plate was quite disappointing. The curries were OK, but nothing more. The service was quite inattentive. The cocktails were average at best, but attractively priced. You either sit inside in a dark atmosphere or outside right on the sidewalk. The toilets could pass for a work of art if it weren't for the unhygienic smell.
