So I'm disappointed. Cheap offers but that’s it. I ordered a Hugo and when I received it I was shocked. Flies amidst the mint. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he took the drink, left and came back saying: there were only spots on the mint. That wasn't it; see image. I was nice enough to pay it anyway. But then give yourself a tip without being asked. Outrageous! Never again

Deliberately misleading cocktail prices. The menu and displays say “4.90” in happy hour everywhere. When I paid it was suddenly more and I was informed that it said "from 4.90". The waitress didn't even know which cocktails we had ordered. The actual prices were not advertised anywhere. Seemed very random. Price-performance was still good. But unfortunately you feel ripped off

Food tastes great. Daily offer 9€ Cocktails 5€…. It's almost always empty. I personally can't understand it, but we always get food quickly 😁🤷‍♀️ Unfortunately it's very cold inside. The door to the outside is usually open. Feel free to come on Sunday afternoon after the flea market

Attended October 2024. We were given an extra drink which we did not order and staff were unhelpful in resolving this, forcing us to keep and pay for the drink which we DID NOT WANT. we did not order it we did not want it but they made us keep it and PAY FOR IT. And the food is too salty. Don’t be fooled by happy hour sign out the front. Not worth the visit 👎👎👎👎👎

I've never eaten so badly. I had it once, it wasn't what I ordered and it was burnt, I sent it back... unfortunately the second attempt wasn't any better. PS: only paying in cash is no longer appropriate

The food was good, the service and attentiveness left a lot to be desired. The waiters were standing on their feet because there were few people. No questions asked, no eye contact. After more than 30 minutes, the dishes were still standing there.

I've been coming here off and on for 3 years and have always really appreciated the low prices. All cocktails are still 4.50 to 4.90 on the stands. When I did the billing, I wanted to pay €20 for 4 cocktails and was insulted stupidly by the cellar. On the menu it says happy hour prices starting at 4.9, but it doesn't say anywhere exactly what it costs. I also have the feeling that the €22 was just taken out of thin air. I was asked stupid questions about whether I could even understand German. I handed him the €20 and left. Always ask exactly how much it really costs, otherwise you'll just end up with stress and the lovely evening will have a bad aftertaste. It's a shame, it was probably my last time here.

Attended on 22/08/24. Absolutely beautiful. Food and beer were excellent and the staff were very attentive. Do not worry about the previous reviews.

The food was so-so. It was plentiful but neither the Bryani nor the Chicken Tandoori were really not very tasty. The men's toilet smelled strongly of urine and wasn't very clean either.

Skip it, food was mid and made my friend sick. Drinks are meh, ordered mojitos with old as s limes. Service was bad. Sad that this restaurant has no integrity or pride in their establishment, feels like they’re there to drain money from their patrons and make you walk away feeling like you overpayed and made the wrong choice. We had a fly in the rice and the food was ordered without vegetables, but was brought with vegetables. The request to remove the rice from the bill or to give a discount was rejected. We were offered alcohol but we didn't want alcohol. The service person was nice but the whole situation was very questionable. We will all never get there again. This concludes Indian cuisine.

Oh well. Nobody can be reached by phone. So in order to make a reservation for a group of people for the evening, I had to come by in person in advance. I find it a bit weak. But it's enough for relaxed and, above all, cheap cocktails. Service so-so... but I think it's okay for the prices.

Happy Hour is a joke there. We payed way more than it was given in the menu. I guess the Waiter gave himself a tip of 5€ because the drinks should be in total 10€ and not 15€!! My cocktail was gross and the mojito didn’t even taste like alcohol at all.. it was literally just a Limonade. Can’t recommend at all

Well... Unfortunately the starter plate was quite disappointing. The curries were OK, but nothing more. The service was quite inattentive. The cocktails were average at best, but attractively priced. You either sit inside in a dark atmosphere or outside right on the sidewalk. The toilets could pass for a work of art if it weren't for the unhygienic smell.

We just wanted to have a drink here and ordered 2 wheat beers. These should be on tap. The two beers were brought and tasted sour. After complaining, we were brought two new beers, also on tap, but Pilsner, even though we didn't order them. This beer was also not ok, cloudy and tasted strange. After this experience, we decided not to try the food at all, so we can't comment on that. There is a reason why no one is sitting in this restaurant while the tables in the surrounding restaurants are full.

Best value for money in the entire Berlin city center. My absolute favorite “bar” and actually of everyone I’ve taken there. Don't expect a fancy restaurant, but expect good food and well-mixed drinks for reasonable money.

Great food, very friendly staff, fantastic location and atmosphere. Even got shots on the house after just 2 visits.

Portions are large, Aperol was okay, unfortunately the naan was very dry and my paneer jalfrezi, although spicy, was extremely watery and had little taste. Mixed starter platter consisted entirely of fried vegetables - expected more. Price ok.

We passed the “Amber” and spontaneously had a meal there. We really enjoyed it and the portions were plentiful. What I ordered tasted absolutely authentic, which is exactly what I got in India. Mango lassi was delicious!

All time greatest restaurant of all time. If your looking for authentic Indian food, this is the place for you. Side salad is top of the pops. Garlic naan, savage. And so is the garlic lamb. And don't forget to ride up in your van.

Nothing is good here. Food was bad, the worst service, and unsafe environment. I ordered samosas and got ones that were rock hard frozen in the middle. When I complained, the waiter took them, reheated them and gave them back. I was shocked at the bad service, and their carelessness. They are also homophobic. Don’t go here

Since we didn't eat I can't say anything about the food but the cocktails are delicious! It's a little bit loud outside. I recommend to try the watermelon man.

1 star too much for this place. Cocktails are so bad, you can't even take more than 2 sips without feeling sick. At a table next to us, waiter grabbed someone's bag without permission and attempted to steal money from the bag.

Wollen eigentlich in der Gruppe ein paar Cocktails trinken gehen und die Zeit genießen. Aber nachdem wir die kaputten Polster gesehen haben und von der Toilette kamen, wollten wir gar nicht mehr und sind direkt wieder gegangen.

Wen schwarzer Schimmel nicht stört, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Allerletzte bar, bedienung langsam und unterbesetzt. Hinter der Bar ist Pappe ausgelegt, vermutlich damit keiner weiß wo der schwarze Schimmel Noch so ist.

Wir sind schon letztes Jahr mal dran vorbei gelaufen. der Laden spricht einen nicht wirklich einladend an. Dieses Jahr haben wir dort halt gemacht. Fleisch Gerichte sind geschmacklich recht authentisch. Getränke passabel. Der gemischte Salat ist wahrlich eine kulinarische Geschmacksverirrung. In Anbetracht der allgemeinen Inflation sind die Preise angemessen. Jedoch das urige Ambiente und die unterirdische sanitäre Anlagen schlagen dem Fass den Boden aus. Nach dem man in diesem Laden im wc war, muss man sich einer Reinraumreinigung unterziehen. Dazu kommt noch, dass man nur bar zahlen kann, wobei sämtliche Läden in der Umgebung bereits gut digitalisiert sind.

Endroit sympathique, dans un quartier agréable et vivant où il y a de nombreux restaurants ! Cuisine très bonne pour des tarifs corrects, nous nous sommes régalés. Serveurs cordials et aux aguets. Attention à prendre en compte le service dans la note finale (pourboire qui peut sembler un peu forcé). Ne prends que le liquide, ce qui semble un peu étrange mais bon... Je recommande malgré le fait que ce soit un peu un attrape touriste

Wir waren schon öfter auf einen Drink dort. Das Personal, besonders der Chef, sind sehr unfreundlich. Es wurde mit 4,90€ in der Happy Hour geworben, unsere Drinks waren darin inbegriffen, später bei der Bezahlung wurde jedoch der Originalpreis (5,50€) verlangt. Gestern tauchte die Polizei vor dem Laden auf, darauf wurden wir vom Chef angeschrien, dass wir sofort in die Bar hinein sollen.

Das Amber ist, was es ist, ein authentisches Restaurant im Kiez Simon-Dach-Straße. Das Publikum ist gemischt, international, das Essen lecker und die Cocktails im guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Wir sind als Touristen seit etwa 20 Jahren 1-2x im Jahr hier und genießen die Atmosphäre der Abende in der Simon-Dach-Straße im Amber. Seit Jahren gehört hier Nasir zum Service-Personal, und wenn man ihm mit einem Lächeln begegnet, bekommt man ein aufrichtiges Lächeln zurück.

Pro: - günstig Negativ: - Kein Kreditkartenzahlung möglich - Aus einzelnen Stühlen gucken Nägel raus und haben unsere Hosen kaputt gemacht - Bedienung spricht kaum oder gar kein Deutsch

Happy Hour 4,50€ und dann kriegt man den vollen Preis abgerechnet für Cocktails. Einfach nur Abzocke.

Den Laden besser meiden. What a cheat! Better look for something better around in the neighborhood!

Cuisine ok, pas le meilleur indien que j'aie pu manger. Les serveurs ne sont pas agréables et demandent presque "obligatoirement" un pourboire à la fin. Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant

Unfreundlicher/komischer Chef und geschmacklich wirklich der schlechteste Inder, bei dem ich je gegessen habe. Mit Abstand. Einzig und allein das Mango-Lassi war gut, ansonsten haben die Gerichte wirklich so schlecht geschmeckt, dass wir sie nicht aufessen konnten. Das ist mir erst einmal passiert. Dazu kommt noch, dass der Chef einen die ganze Zeit anstarrt. Der Rest des Personals war aber nett und schnell. Trotzdem war das Essen so schlecht und dafür teuer, dass es wirklich nicht über einen Stern kommt.

Essen hat nach nichts geschmeckt. War nicht sonderlich gewürzt, aber man konnte es trotzdem essen. Im Bier schwammen irgendwelche Krümel rum. Wurde zurück gegeben und ein neues gebracht. Da schwamm dann auch wieder irgendwas drin. Bei der Abrechnung wurde dann versucht ein Essen mehr abzurechnen, was jedoch gar nicht bestellt wurde. Wird wohl die Masche sein, die billigen Cocktails wieder rauszuholen. Die Cocktails waren in Ordnung aber auch nichts Besonderes. Aperol Spritz wurde in einem Bier Glas serviert. Der Chef ist total unfreundlich und wirkt als hätte er gar keine Lust auf die Gäste. Muss nicht noch mal sein.

Wir haben Tikka Bakka bestellt, was gegrillte Ente sein sollte, aber nicht nach Ente geschmeckt hat. Entweder hat man uns Schweinefleisch untergejubelt oder das Entenfleisch so dermaßen malträtiert, dass es nach Schwein schmeckt. Auf Nachfrage konnte uns der Kellner auch nicht sagen, von welchem Teil der Ente diese großen, viereckigen Gulaschwürfel nun sein sollen. Tische stehen viel zu dicht aneinander, man hört jedes Wort vom fremden Nachbarn. Cocktails viel zu süß. Wir hatten Caipirinhas, die einfach nur nach Zuckerwasser geschmeckt haben. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Nicht zu empfehlen der Laden. Keine nette Bedienung und das Essen hat mir auch nicht geschmeckt. Besonders die Preise finde ich unangemessen und falsch, da draußen mit happy hour Preisen geworben werden, die es einfach nicht gibt.

Billige Drinks die auch so schmecken. Die existieren auch nur, weil am Wochenende alles voll ist, also gehen die Leute dort hin. Service ist unterirdisch.

I would not recommend going here. Service was poor and we had to wait for our drinks for a very long time. The worst part was when we had to pay our bill though: First the owner tried to walk away with our money (which would have been a 25 % tip), then when we asked for our change he only gave us half back asking for a tip. When we said we thought it was rude and that we wanted our change he said "for the poor students'', the fact that those must have been hiding under the table I leave in the middle. It was an unpleasant exchange after a poor service. I would recommend not going there.

The food was very delicious and the staff friendly. We all had different Indian meals and enjoyed them all. On top of that the waitress offered free cocktails for the ladies and also brought us extra papadam and garlic naan. In the end, of course, they didn't charge us for all the extra food and cocktails they brought us.

Ein uriges Restaurant mir tollem Essen und nettem Personal. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war sehr gut. Lediglich die Toiletten haben eine Renovierung nötig.

I can’t recommend this restaurant, we came in 10-14 people quite spontaneous and got told it was happy hour and that the first shots would be free, we ordered our food and drinks. We ordered nachos and burgers and some drinks, the food took 30-40 minutes to reach the tables and the drinks took 20-30 minutes. The nachos were stale and boring, and one of our friends found a feather in their nachos and we never actually got our free shots!

This is a cheap, but very decent Indian restaurant. Don't come waiting for a fancy place, but on a budget you are going to get a lot of food and good cocktails. Had palak panner and chicken tikka and both were very tasty. Service was also very friendly.

Richtig gutes Essen und gute Cocktails zu moderaten Preisen. Ab 20:15 Uhr wurde die Musik sehr laut gedreht, das hätte gern etwas weniger sein dürfen. Sonst typisches Friedrichshainer Flair.

Schlechteste Cocktails der Stadt. Zuckerwasser mit billig Fusel

Nous etions 8 a etre aller manger labas. Service horrible, les plats etaient bons. Cependant le grand probleme est que nous avons demandé des verres d’eau du robinet. Il nous les a amené pour ensuite nous faire payer ces meme verres d’eau (du robinet) 4€50 par unité. Une escroquerie. Nous avons essayé ensuite tant bien que mal de lui expliquer que si ils veulent faire payer de l’eau il faut qu’il nous montre qu’elle vient d’une bouteille mais apparement le serveur ne voulait ps comprendre et a commencé a être agressif.
