Sehr freundlicher Service und sehr leckere Tagesgerichte: Zander mit Grillgemüse und Ente scharf war mega lecker. Zu empfehlen, am besten vorher Platz reservieren oder früh kommen

Bin echt begeistert. Essen war hervorragend. Service war super aufmerksam. Alles ging sehr schnell. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Wenn ich das nächste Mal hier in der Gegend bin ist das auf jeden Fall wieder meine Anlaufstelle.

Wenn wir mit dem Auto durch Europa reisen, zwischen Italien und Schweden (was wir oft tun), ist der Besuch toller Restaurants und das Eintauchen in die lokale Küche immer ein Highlight. Ulm war unser erster Stopp und unsere erste Übernachtungsstation, und nach einigem Suchen stießen wir auf dieses absolute Juwel von einem Restaurant. Wie immer lasen wir uns die Bewertungen durch, fanden es vielversprechend und riefen an, um einen Tisch im Freien zu reservieren. Dort angekommen, wurden wir super herzlich empfangen, und die Mitarbeiter erklärten uns die Speisekarte wie Profis. Meine Tochter und ich bestellten Schnitzel – unser Standardgericht, wir haben schon unzählige davon gegessen. Aber ich glaube, ich habe noch nie ein so zartes und saftiges Schnitzel gegessen. Einfach perfekt! Meine Frau entschied sich für ein Knoblauchsteak, das unglaublich gut war – butterzart, man musste es kaum kauen. Darüber hinaus war die Atmosphäre total entspannt und einladend, und die Familie, die das Restaurant führt, kümmerte sich wirklich um jeden Gast. Wir haben uns sogar noch kurz mit dem Besitzer/Koch/Vater/Ehemann unterhalten, bevor wir ins Hotel zurückgingen, was die Atmosphäre noch gemütlicher und schöner machte. Sollten wir jemals wieder in Ulm sein, ist dieses Restaurant unsere erste Wahl fürs Abendessen.

Tolles Restaurant! Sehr leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen, absolut netter Service. Sehr familiäres Umfeld. Auch bei vollem Betrieb keine Wartezeiten. Der Koch erkundigt sich bei seinen Gästen nach der Zufriedenheit und durch die Große Durchreiche ist ein Blick in die Küche möglich. Für uns ist ein Besuch Pflicht, wenn wir Urlaub in Süddeutschland machen.

War jetzt 3 mal hier, hätte noch mehr Sterne hinterlassen können … das Ambiente mega urig , toller Service und immer ein Plätzchen für jeder Mann sorry auch Frau 😉 das Essen ist sehr gut und Portionen die auf mehreren Teller kommen . Was auch mal anders ist . Hatte von Schweine Steaks bis Rind probiert .. Mega !!!! Und die Spätzle waren auch gut … Besonderheiten Man kann durch die Durchreiche in die Küche schauen . Alles sauber und Essen ist ruckzuck fertig … an die Köche die für den Zauber hinter den Fronten : Mega gut weiter so und immer wieder gerne ☺️ LG Leider keine Fotos gemacht war vom servieren zu gut das man gleich los gelegt hat zu essen . 🤗

Das Essen im Posthorn in Neu-Ulm ist wirklich gut – traditionell schwäbische Küche auf hohem Niveau, dazu einige asiatisch inspirierte Gerichte, die positiv herausstechen. Die Spätzle und das Schnitzel waren super und auch der Salat sehr frisch und lecker. Großes Lob an die Küche! Leider trübt der Service das Gesamterlebnis deutlich. Die Dame im Service wirkt sehr arrogant und überheblich – vor allem gegenüber Familien und Kindern. Bei unserem Besuch war das Kinderessen (Fischstäbchen) nicht verfügbar, mit dem Hinweis „muss erst wieder eingekauft werden“. Die Tiefkühltruhe aktuell zu halten sollte nicht so schwer sein – aber gut, kann passieren. Problematisch wurde es, weil es dann überhaupt keine Alternative für Kinder gab. Eis gab es laut Aussage der Kellnerin auch nicht - wurde allerdings in der Karte bei einem Dessert mit Angeboten?! Bereits bei einem früheren Besuch hatten wir ein ähnliches Erlebnis – damals wurde ein Kinderstuhl erst nach Nachfrage und mit sehr patziger Antwort herausgegeben. Mit einem freundlicheren Umgang (oder ohne Kinder) wäre dieses Restaurant eine klare Empfehlung.

Tolles Wirtshaus. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Sehr leckeres Essen. Der Zwiebelrostbraten ist genial. Münchner Bier in Neu-Ulm ist nicht das schlechteste. Auch der Nachtisch war ein Genuß. Insgesamt ein sehr gelungener Abend. Reservierung erforderlich

Great family run place with simple but excellent good German food. Very attentive, efficient yet friendly service. We ordered the Jägerschnitzel and pork fillet with Chanterelles, both very well presented and an ample serving size!

A spontaneous visit. Schnitzel, tenderloin, and Maultaschen soup. Everything was absolutely fantastic. My little girl had to order another soup because it was so good.

We ended up here on the recommendation of our hotel receptionist, and we really enjoyed it. The ambiance is beautifully rustic, the service friendly and accommodating, and the food was excellent. We had liver spaetzle soup and pancake soup as starters, both very tasty. For main courses, we had a cordon bleu and the hearty sirloin steak, both excellent. Unfortunately, we were so stuffed that we couldn't fit in any dessert. The price was also very reasonable; we paid less than €70 for two people with a starter and main course, a drink, and a digestive, so we can't complain 😁 We definitely recommend it!

Yesterday, we went there for dinner without prior notice, consisting of three adults and a five-year-old child. After we ordered, the children's schnitzel was brought first and very quickly, so the child didn't have to wait long for his meal. Our dishes also arrived promptly and at the same time and were absolutely delicious! The prices are also more than reasonable and justified!

The food was absolutely delicious, rarely had such a good meal. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. You can't pay by card, but there's a bank with an ATM across the street. This restaurant is highly recommended.

We had an excellent meal there. Both the Asian dish and the typical Swabian roast beef with onions were of the highest quality and flavor! All the other dishes served to the guests also looked delicious. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming. An absolute recommendation and definitely one of the best restaurants in Neu-Ulm and the surrounding area!

Very good (!) Swabian cuisine and also Thai curry cuisine! Everything that comes out of the kitchen is delicious and prepared by father Fritz and son Moritz. Mother Petra handles the service in a friendly, fast, and competent manner. Very good value for money in the heart of Neu Ulm. A changing daily menu with regional and seasonal specialties and a la carte options. A real treat, both in terms of taste and appearance. A small, lovely outdoor area in summer. Reservations recommended, for the reasons mentioned above.

Unfortunately, I can't agree with the rave reviews I've read here. The paprika schnitzel was two overcooked slices of pork loin, not a schnitzel at all. The only thing that tasted of paprika was a sauce flavored with sweet paprika, not a single piece of fresh paprika on the plate. This urgently needs to be addressed. I don't recommend this dish for €19.90. The service was friendly and attentive. The menu, which is published on Google Maps, is in dire need of an overhaul. Most of the prices are outdated.

This is a small family business in a traditional German setting. The service is professional and efficient, our food was delicious and far from overpriced. The menu also has international/ Asian options which were very tasty. The chef is an interesting character who has worked around the world - this is reflected in the menu.

We were at the Posthorn last year and were very enthusiastic about the food. That's why we have pre-ordered again for this year. We were looking forward to a great evening with great taste. Unfortunately we were 10 minutes late for the agreed appointment, but we called beforehand and were told a bit rudely that it shouldn't be later. We hurried and arrived 9 minutes later. While we were given the menu, the waitress walked around the inn with a food skewer and then sat at the bar to continue eating it. Unfortunately that wasn't enough, the second lady also sat at the bar with her food. Our food came quite differently. But something went wrong when serving because the plates were too hot for the waitresses. Here's a tip: serve with a napkin or gloves so that no fries fall off the plate because you have to hurry. Still tastes really good! Unfortunately the cordon bleu was really too salty. We wanted to pay relatively quickly, but the waitress was sitting at the bar with waffle ice cream and unfortunately didn't even notice us behind us. So we went there and had to ask them politely that we wanted to pay. The lady was now visibly overwhelmed when it came to her ice cream. A lot needs to be done here when it comes to service! In our opinion, it is not possible to eat food in front of the guest at the bar! There probably won't be a next time because the reactions of the waitresses clearly spoke volumes.

This was actually my second time in Ulm, but only in transit. This time I chose local cuisine and a place with history. An amazing place. Atmosphere and decor. But I saved the best for last. Food is PRO. An incredible taste experience. And they can only be surpassed by the service and warmth with which they greeted me straight from the street without asking for anything. Thank you very much.

A very cozy inn... in contrast to the restaurants you find today in the mostly "overly practical, functionally furnished places". The waitresses were eager and very friendly at the same time. The dishes served were 😋😋😋 tasty and left nothing to be desired 👍. I can also only recommend this house for family celebrations with children 👌. In my opinion, a timely reservation makes sense 😉.

Really good food, no matter what 😋 delicious

The food is undoubtedly some of the best you can get in the area. It was our third visit and as far as food is concerned, we have only had ideal experiences so far. Well, depending on the dish, the schnitzel is not breaded. ;-) The prices are perfectly fine. The two of us paid €77 for a starter, main course (onion roast and cordon bleu) and drinks. Other restaurants charge similar or even higher prices without achieving this level of quality. The more or less open kitchen in the very small inn provides an insight into the great team communication, and the boss personally comes out of the kitchen to ask whether everything was OK. The service is also impressive: the boss doesn't have to write anything down, remembers everything and has the store well under control. If there is anything to complain about, it is that it is sometimes difficult to get a place - so a reservation is definitely recommended! We'd love to come back!

A rustic and original inn, as you know it from before. Although we didn't make a reservation, we (the two of us) were lucky on Friday evening and were assigned a spot. Everything that came past us from the kitchen looked delicious. Our choice was also tasty and ready quickly. We would be happy to come here again when we visit Ulm again.

Light and shadow. Let's start with the positive. Family-run, rustic inn with great food. Class. Clear recommendation. Unfortunately, it is not easy to be a guest there. In total we made 3 attempts. The first time everything was fine. The second time we were turned away relatively harshly because it was too crowded. Ok, we understand that, especially since we didn't call. But all good things come in threes and we tried again in the new year. This time there wasn't much going on and we were already looking forward to a great visit. But unfortunately we weren't granted that either. Well before 9 p.m. we were greeted with the message that the kitchen was already closed and that the only thing left was a quick beer. According to the website it is open until 10 p.m. Now it's just difficult for me as a guest to look at the post horn every time I hear "Gut Glück" and hope that you'll get something else. And making a reservation for a beer would be a bit too much to ask. In the future, I'd rather go to Ulm, for example to Barfüßer, and I can be sure that I'll get something. It's a shame, I would like to be your guest. But things must still be going very well in the catering industry.

Cozy restaurant with German cuisine. Everything is freshly prepared. Very good quality food and very friendly staff. The family runs the restaurant exceptionally well.

We wanted to have a family meal on Boxing Day in a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. But despite there being little crowd at the beginning (we were the first guests) and at the end we were served very hectically. The boss reacted very rudely to our friendly, critical suggestion (sentence like: “Then do it yourself”) We still gave a good tip and were therefore greeted in a friendly manner.

Definitely the best Codonbleu I've ever had. The seasoning was excellent, which is not common in Deutschland (sry other chefs). The lady at front desk and the chef are both very nice. I walked in at 5:15 and got a table, but making a reservation is recommended, as almost all other tables were reserved. I’ll definitely visit there again when I pass through Ulm next time.

Very good Swabian dishes as well as Asian curries. You can tell that the boss still cooks himself. The waitresses are very friendly and the prices are ok. Possibly another 2-3 vegetarian dishes on the menu and please put the menu online.

Had reserved a table for this evening but had to cancel at short notice for health reasons. Was asked on the phone why I canceled shortly beforehand. impertinence. I often ate there and during Corona we often got food. But you don't talk to me like that. Never again. We drove over 700 km from Italy and stopped in Ulm. We didn't have a table reservation. After reading the menu we entered the restaurant. Very nice owners, food like at home, very cozy atmosphere. This is what we needed. Thanks again!

Es ist wirklich eine schöne Erfahrung gewesen, mal wieder ein Restaurant gefunden zu haben, wo nicht nur das Essen sehr gut geschmeckt hat, sondern Freundlichkeit noch GROẞ geschrieben wird.Wir waren zweimal hier essen und es war einfach nur Klasse 👍, Anschließend konnten wir gut gestärkt zu unserem Open Air Konzert . Great restaurant! The food is fresh and super tasty. Even the salad beforehand convinced me. This initially looked like a simple green salad but turned out to be a great salad combination of greens, cabbage and potato salad - simply great. The service was super nice and friendly. The atmosphere was authentic and not touristy. You can eat pretty well here.

Die Güte der Küche konnte leider nicht beurteilt werden, da aufgrund des unverschämten Benehmens der Chefin der Abend schnell beendet war und wir ein anderes Restaurant aufgesucht haben, in dem der Service und die Küche hervorragend waren.

Eigentlich durch Zufall im Posthorn gelandet und dann so ein fantastisches Essen und Trinken zu wirklich tollen Preisen. Mein Mann hatte Linguine mit Scampi und Muscheln und ein leckeres Bier und ich hatte Reh Medaillons mit Pilzen, Gemüse, Spätzle und einer umwerfenden Sosse. Ich hatte einen tollen Rose. Dazu gab es vorneweg noch ein Beilagensalat, der war so lecker das mein Mann noch die Sosse ausgetrunken hat. Das Personal und die Atmosphäre war unglaublich nett. Danach hatten wir noch 2 Espresso, mehr ging nicht in uns rein, leider! Hätten gerne noch die Creme Brulee probiert. Leider konnten wir den Koch nicht mitnehmen.

We were in Neu-Ulm on December 28th. When we wanted to go out for something to eat with our children in the evening, we were told very harshly that there was no more room that evening, despite there being obviously free tables. There won't be a second time with us!
