The food there is highly recommended. Both our dishes were cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. The tzatziki is amazing, and my bifteki was also superb. I haven't had such good food in a long time. The service is also very pleasant and friendly. We were attentive and discreet throughout the meal. The atmosphere is very cozy and encourages you to linger. This was our second visit, and it's confirmed that it's one of the best Greek restaurants we know. Go and try it. You won't be disappointed.

The staff is always very friendly and pleasant, the service is excellent, and the food is top quality. Unfortunately, there's a major drawback regarding the serving of the coffee specialties. Previously, they served them in lovely, easy-to-hold cups, complete with a small gift, water, and brown sugar for self-measurement—very individual and, above all, memorable. Now, they serve cups that are difficult to hold properly, visually unappealing, and unceremoniously without the small wooden board, water, or anything else. This is truly a shame, as these little touches are the icing on the cake of good food and excellent service. We'll still come back though :) Efharisto

I went to Poseidon alone today. Since I don't eat meat, the selection at Greek restaurants is often limited. Not so at Poseidon. There are plenty of vegetarian starters and delicious fish. I had the sea bream, beautifully prepared with vegetables and rosemary potatoes. I started with a good side salad. Excellent value for money, highly recommended!

I was very pleasantly surprised at the Poseidon restaurant. I went there on a recommendation but with relatively low expectations, and I have to say that it was probably my most pleasant restaurant visit of the year. A harmonious overall package, with good (very tasty) food, a pleasant atmosphere and decor, friendly and attentive service, and (not to be underestimated) well-thought-out restroom facilities. So: I'd be happy to go back and fully recommend it.

Four of us were there on a Wednesday evening because we wanted to try out different mezedes, i.e. smaller dishes. The souflaki skewers were a bit dry, but everything else tasted very good. The waiting time wasn't very long and almost everything came together. The prices were reasonable - only the portion of tzatziki was very small for 4 people and cost 5€. Since we ordered another portion, it was already 10€ - we can get a larger portion of tzatziki with bread somewhere else for half the price. Otherwise it was very modern. The waitresses and the owner were very friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back again. I can imagine that the small beer garden is a great place to sit in the summer.

Everything was super good and delicious

The food was great as always, but somehow that certain something of friendliness/warmth was missing here. 😞 The greeting was completely fine and people were still very attentive at the beginning, but this decreased significantly as time went on. We had to request the invoice twice with a corresponding waiting time. There wasn't really a farewell. It's a shame because we were eating here for an 80th birthday.

We were there in the evening with 5 people. The food came at the same time, was fresh and tasted great, the portions were large, the prices were absolutely ok, the service and the owners were very friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be back!!

Everything was great, food, service, everything was great

We arrived at Poseidon late Easter Monday afternoon after a short online research. Without a reservation, which was of course reckless of us. But we were lucky and got a table. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, but space is limited in the long, narrow room. We ordered the Classic Gyros as well as one that completely filled the table with the number of appetizers. Conclusion: ALL the food was very tasty! Well done! The team works harmoniously together and the service runs smoothly, even though the restaurant was fully booked. It was a try and we weren't disappointed, in fact we were very satisfied! Absolutely recommended! We would love to come back again. Μπράβο σάς 👍👍💪

It's a high quality meal. Any intolerances were addressed immediately. A super nice service and, above all, fast. It's just a little tight there, but otherwise VERY nice and modernly furnished.

The dishes are authentic, freshly prepared and simply outstanding in terms of taste. The grilled specialties and the platters are particularly recommended. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive and ensures that you feel completely comfortable. The portions are generous and the price-performance ratio is more than fair. If you love Greek cuisine, you should definitely visit Poseidon - hospitality is very important here! We'll definitely be back!

Ambience and service great! Unfortunately there is only 1 vegetarian meal on offer: vegetables, which were floating in oil for a long time during preparation and were therefore oil-soaked and mushy. Then probably heated in the microwave (...I suspect because the mushy vegetables were exceptionally hot for a very long time). I was completely disappointed.

You feel very comfortable there. The food is really good.

Were here again, the food is delicious, except for the Giros, which is unfortunately once again very salty. Other guests also have the Giros on their plates, which is a shame. The selection of food is quite large and the staff is very friendly.

Although the Poseidon restaurant is in my hometown, it was my first time eating there. The ambience is chic. The service is nice, polite and quick. We felt in good hands. The starters came quickly and we enjoyed them very much. Just like the salad. We were almost full by then. There was plenty of bread to go with the 3 dips. Now to the main course... what can I say... it was fantastic!!! The meat was fresh and perfectly fried. It was very delicately seasoned. The portion was just right. We'll definitely be back. Went there for the first time and was immediately treated badly. After the menu was put on the table, I just asked if I could take a look first because I'd never been there before. From that point on, me and my husband were treated badly! Once and never never never again! Just keep your hands off it! Just because you are not a regular guest you are treated badly!

Since our local Greek unfortunately couldn't get anything at short notice, we went to Poseidon. The restaurant itself is chic and modern. The staff friendly. We waited about 45 minutes for our table. The starters were very tasty. I ordered the grill plate with the pepper sauce. The pepper sauce was absolutely not to my taste. Unfortunately, except for the gyro, all the meat was soaked in it. It tasted strongly of flavor enhancer. I should have known. Then I would have ordered the sauce separately. Unfortunately the meat was very dry and overcooked. Too bad. The gyros and the tzatziki were convincing. Unfortunately, the Poseidon experiment failed. I or we remain loyal to our original Greek.

Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere.

We were there on Sunday evening for family dinner. Everyone ordered a’ la carte. The service: nice and attentive. The dishes: all delicious, excellently prepared, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Rarely has a long journey been so worthwhile for us. The landlady? The blast! Extremely friendly and super customer oriented. I wish there was such a great restaurant in my area. We'll definitely be back. Many thanks to the entire team!

Food was good so far, but really cheeky from the waitress, the rest of the payment was €12.40, we gave €15.00 and kept the rest without us saying anything that it was a tip!!! Well, as the saying goes, the first and last time. Basically, you almost always give a tip, but we didn't have the language to reciprocate that, in our eyes, not an honest waitress or waitress would put NOTE 6....

Nice Greek restaurant with good and friendly service. The beer garden is beautifully landscaped. The adjacent Friedrichstrasse is hardly noticeable because the beer garden is visually and acoustically “separated” by plants. The portions are completely sufficient. Quality instead of quantity. It's very tasty and it fills you up too. Absolutely okay in terms of price. Grill plates between 15 and 20 euros. Drinks are a little higher priced, although this is now common (beer 0.5 costs 5.20 euros). The restaurant also has a bowling alley, which can be rented.

We had reserved a table for two people as far back in the corner as possible, just in time for our wedding anniversary. When we arrived we had to wait about 20 minutes. We were then offered a table directly in the entrance area. The reference to our reservation was dismissed with the words "There was nothing there". We were not offered another table. We then left the restaurant. After a quick google, we came across a Greek restaurant in Gelsenkirchen-Buer. Called quickly (very friendly lady at the other end) and reserved a table. The food there was excellent and REALLY Greek. Two days later we went to this Greek restaurant in Gelsenkirchen-Buer again because it was extremely tasty. The Poseidon has since lost us due to the behavior of its employee and we prefer to go to the neighboring Gelsenkirchen-Buer. Reservations there have always been to our complete satisfaction.

The restaurant is an absolute must in Gladbeck. It's small but still super comfortable. The staff is very nice and friendly. The selection of dishes is plentiful and everything tasted delicious. I can really recommend everyone to take a look here.
