We are thrilled as always. Great service, very tasty food. Portions sufficient. Super friendly with children. We can only warmly recommend the restaurant. Keep it up!! We'll definitely be back. The beer garden is also highly recommended in summer.

We wanted to visit the restaurant again after the change of tenant and were not disappointed. The menu has become more varied (great daily menu with creative dishes), the food is lovingly prepared and very tasty, the staff is friendly and efficient and the furnishings are tasteful. I've been there three times in two months now :-)

The Poseidon Restaurant is simply great! The starters are delicious, the homemade desserts are a dream, and the monthly menu always offers great dishes. The service is incredibly friendly, attentive and leaves nothing to be desired. There’s also an ouzo on the house. You simply feel welcome here. Absolutely recommended!

Very disrespectful behavior from the tall young waiter. He mocked and ignored us right to our faces when we tried to order. This behavior does not fit the atmosphere of the restaurant.

July 2024, completely different team? and not necessarily very friendly, food a bit loveless, pita burnt! Food not decorative, because the eye eats with it... etc! When you pay, the card is thrown back on the table!

The meal took 3 hours. The operation was not designed for around 60 people. Really a shame. Dessert came significantly late around 11 p.m. The food only came half an hour beforehand.

We often come to Poseidon because Beautifully located and very friendly service is provided! The food is sometimes not perfect but the service and prices more than make up for it!

Unfortunately, I didn't feel welcome as a pick-up person. I ordered by phone and they weren't happy on the phone that I only ordered one meal. When I got there I didn't feel welcome either and when I didn't give a tip I think I was down. Neither friendliness would have been any better if I had eaten there. The staff was a bit unfriendly on the phone and the food was so bad. The gyro was quite chewy. I'm still looking for the garlic in the pita. The sakat floats in the ready-made yoghurt dressing. That really wasn't worth 20 euros. This will probably be our last time there

Been here last time. Food was always okay, but if you're brought to a table and no one takes your order after 25 minutes, that's an absolute no-go. Then we left again. It was also disappointing that when I asked, they said someone would be there soon, but after 10 minutes nothing happened. And no, the store wasn't packed.

We ordered 15 vegetable appetizer plates for our summer garden party. Everything was very well prepared for us to pick up and transport. It tasted great and there was enough quantity. Our guests were thrilled. Definitely full marks

Quaint suburban restaurant with 70s charm, right next to the shooting range.

The food was generally okay. Unfortunately, the gyros consisted almost entirely of fat and wasn't fried long enough. There wasn't much going on outside (no one was sitting inside). We had to wait 20 minutes for the menu. The drinks were forgotten twice. When I said please pay, the waiter came back to our table after 15 minutes and asked if everything was okay. When I pointed out again that I wanted to pay, the bill finally came. The staff used to be much friendlier. Unfortunately it now seems confused and rude/arrogant.

Wir haben uns als Familie einen Platz gesucht, der Kellner hat gesagt nur wo eingeteckt ist obwohl alles frei wahr. Später kamm noch eine Familie die sich zu uns gesetzt hat. Wir haben zusammen Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte bestellt. Die Getränke haben wir nach 20 min bekommen. Die Vorspeise haben wir mit 2 von 4 Hauptgerichten bekommen. Nach Nachfrage haben sie den rest vergessen. Vor einiger Zeit war es dort echt gut, jetzt 😞schlecht.

Das war mein Take Away-Food: Gyros miserabel gebraten und völlig geschmacklos, serviert auf rohen Zwiebeln. Die Kalamata totgebraten. Einzig das Tsatsiki war genießbar, aber da kann bekanntlich nicht viel falsch machen. Dafür war auch der Beilagensalat eine einzige Frechheit. Von gemischt war nichts zu sehen, nur Salatblätter mit immerhin einer (!) kleinen Tomatenscheibe. Dazu zwei Löffel Dressing, das nach nichts schmeckte. Der mit Abstand schlechteste Grieche, bei dem ich je war. Mit griechischer Küche hatte das überhaupt nichts zu tun. Nach zwei Bissen war mir der Appetit gründlich vergangen, der Mülleimer war der geeignete Ort für den Rest. Dafür wollte mir der Kellner 50 Euro für eine Flasche Rotwein zum Mitnehmen berechnen - ich hatte nach einer ganz normalen Flasche gefragt. Die Alternative kostete schlappe 29 Euro. Eigentlich überflüssig zu erwähnen, dass mich dieser Laden nie wieder sieht.

Very tasty food in a beautiful beer garden and attentive service

I actually always liked eating at Poseidon, but the last few times we just didn't feel comfortable anymore. The quality of the food has deteriorated and yesterday the one waiter completely shot the Poseidon for us. Not only did he constantly swing around the garden while drunk, he also spit on the tree in front of all the guests in the middle of the guest garden where the people were eating and loudly brought the slimy thing up from his throat and did the whole thing twice in a row . If I hadn't already finished I would have left the food ice cold and left.

So eine schoene Lage und so ein furchtbares Essen. Wir waren mittags da und haben uns auf leckeres griechisches Essen. Leider war es eine echte Katastrophe. Bifteki mit gummiartigem Käse. (Kein Feta) Alles kaum bis schlecht gewürzt. Fisch trocken ohne Ende Service hat auf Kritik garnicht reagiert! Nie nie nie wieder.

The Bier glass was dirty, lamm haxe was too dry and salty, and the waiter was trying to cheat with lunch prices. Very disappointing experience.

I've known the restaurant for about 50 years (Hubertus), hardly anything has changed, it's been Poseidon since 1997. It was a lot of activity, but it worked out. The path to the restaurant urgently needs to be renovated, it is dangerous to walk. The fireplace is still there, I'm very happy, hopefully it will be used too

In the evening we ate a Paros plate and the trilogy of three meat skewers. There wasn't much going on in the beer garden. Positive: + Friendly, fast service + Nice beer garden + Location at Forstenrieder Park + beautiful sideboard Negative: - All three meat skewers were burnt (and I actually like it grilled dark), dry and sometimes very mushy - Fries were partly soft and came lukewarm - Tzatziki very dill-heavy, you have to like it - the calamari was tough/rubbery, tasteless and the batter was soft

While we were still looking for a shady table in the almost empty beer garden, two ouzos were placed on the table next to us (according to the motto: sit down there!). However, my friend and I don't drink alcohol, so we asked to take them with us again. It was probably an insult to majesty, as we were then allowed to enjoy the sun for a long time while ordering and eating. When we were finished, the bill was placed on the table without comment, even though we wanted something more to drink. The waiter then disappeared again for some time until, after 3 unsuccessful attempts, the second waiter condescended to take our order. The food was a large portion, but I've met much better Greeks. Gyro meat was visually the "section" that you can't use in the souflaki. Rice had a strange aftertaste (I've never had it at a Greek restaurant), souflaki was ok. When asked the usual question: “Was everything ok” I honestly answered “no”. The reaction was as expected -> the waiter didn't care at all about the answer, he took the plates and left. If someone cares about the guests, I think it would be appropriate to ask why "no". Conclusion: if you want to scare away the flame on the first date, then the Poseidon is perfect for that. After eating 3 times (I give every store several chances) it was the last time.

The last time we set off again. The service had to do with a Greek wedding. Today: 2.30 p.m "We're closed from 3 p.m." I still got a beer. Unfortunately I can't eat anything. It is also closed on weekends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Dear excursionists, it's better to go to the forestry area.

We always drive here especially, even if it's a long drive. The store is worth it. Like everywhere else, prices have risen. But it's still OK. The food is excellent and the portions are ok. We only go here when we want to eat Greek. Operation and service are good. Really recommended.

In my opinion it is the best Poseidon in all of Munich Very cozy and super tasty, from juicy bifteki, spicy lamb chops to crispy gyros. It's worth a visit - 6 stars - Edit: Today is the day for me to go back to Forstenried to the Poseidon The reception was very friendly as always. The food was very good, I didn't expect anything else, although the lamb chop this time wasn't as good as last time but the 5 stars are still deserved and appropriate. I'll be back ! We went there for dinner a few days ago and followed the "value for money" reviews, but were disappointed. The service is rough, loud and "brisk" - but it's a long way from being welcoming and friendly. You feel like you've been dispatched. The beer glass is not polished and is served sticky when you touch it. The gyro was the worst I've eaten in a long time. The meat quality is mediocre, a lot of fat and fibrous tissue that you chew on for ages. So not recommended. Salads are good. Other meat dishes tasted mediocre. The bottom line is that it's more of a third-rate experience, price or not.

Uns hat es dort sehr gut gefallen. Samstag Abend war ohne Reservierung möglich, Parkplatz (etwas dunkel) vorhanden, einen schönen Platz im Eck bekommen. Ambiente urig, nicht im Ansatz griechisch. Die Musik und die Speisekarte erinnern einen daran, dass man in einem griechischen Restaurant sitzt. Und das Essen macht dem Land alle Ehre. Gut bis sehr gut, alles passt, bis hin zum Preis und Service. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

War in letzten Jahren immer gerne zu Essen da. Es war immer gut und reichlich. Heute waren meine Gäste und ich recht enttäuscht. Gyros kalt und ohne Gewürze, der Salat geschmacksneutral, die Fischplatte zwar noch warm aber im Gegensatz zu früher nicht umwerfend. Die Portionen sind kleiner geworden. Ich werde mich wohl nach etwas anderem umschauen müssen. Schade!

Bei dem guten Wetter waren wir mit der Familie im Biergarten gesessen und habe mich auf meine gegrillten Calamari mit Giros gefreut. Als ich den Teller für weit über EUR 20 sah, war ich schockiert. 3 kleine Calamari und Girosfetzen, welche man auch als Fleischstücke im ganzen hätte anbieten können. Ach ja! Die Spareribs könnt ihr künftig auch eine Viertelstunde früher von der Flamme nehmen, damit das Fleisch nicht trocken und Mausetot ist. Leider hat sich auch bei meiner Familie die Begeisterung in Grenzen gehalten. Dem jungen Kellner musste man immer daran erinnern, das etwas fehlt. Das Pitabrot kam nicht gleichzeitig mit dem Essen und mega ölig. Preis und Leistung ist hier nicht mehr gegeben. Macht‘s es g‘scheit oder lasst es bleiben. Das war’s mit Poseidon für eine lange Zeit

Wir sind nach einem Spaziergang im Park auf etwas süßes "eingekehrt". Das Restaurant ist idyllisch am Eingang des Parks gelegen - Parkplätze gibt es entsprechend noch und nöcher. Da wir das schöne Wetter auskosten wollten, setzen wir uns in den Biergarten. Der Service war freundlich, Eiscafe und Schokoküchlein waren gut, für uns waren Preis / Leistung iO.

War sehr sehr schlimm unser Besuch dort. Das Gyros war gar nicht knusprig, obwohl es laut Kellner vom Drehspieß kommt. Schmeckte wie aufgewärmt. Tomatenreis war matschig und ungewürzt und die Calamari auch aufgewärmt. Salat mit verwelkten Blättern und einer Joghurt Fertigsoße. Für dieses wirklich schlimme Gericht musste ich 18,50€ bezahlen. Zuletzt habe ich vor einem Jahr genauso schlecht gegessen. Und wo? Genau in diesem Restaurant Poseidon. Hab mich sooo geärgert, weil ich nochmals hier gegessen hab, um dem Lokal eine Chance zu geben. Ich geh da nie wieder hin.

Stark nachgelassen, früher war es mein Lieblingsrestaurant! Super teuer geworden, egal ob seit zwei Jahren, es war früher und lange Zeit ein guter Preis. Ein Beispiel: Gyros mit Beilage und Bauernsalat und 19,50€, zum Mitnehmen. Qualitativ nicht mehr zu vergleichen, einige fettige Stücke dabei gewesen, nicht so toll gegrillt. Salat war sehr lecker! Aber die Änderung von Salat auf Bauernsalat kostet 2,90€. (Bewertung habe ich erst geschrieben, nachdem ich zweimal hintereinander die gleiche Erfahrung gemacht habe) Ich hoffe ihr findet wieder euren alten Schwung zurück, dann bin ich gerne bereit die höheren Preise zu bezahlen.

Schöner Biergarten. Allerdings bin ich beim Essen vom Glauben abgefallen. Warme Vorspeise ein paar frittierte Zucchini/Auberginenscheiben. Eine tomatenscheibe sowie eine gurkenscheibe als deko. Der pulpo 2 dünne Streifen für 16 Euro. Aber den Vogel hat das "Gyros Kalamari" abgeschossen. Ich habe noch nie so ein ekelhaftes "Gyros" gesehen. War eher ein zerkleinerter Schweinebraten?! Fischplatte war in Ordnung. Baklava war sehr gut. Service kam lange Zeit nicht an den Tisch und man musste die Kellner leider herwinken, was total unangenehm ist. Hier niemals wieder.

Heute war es wieder toll, nur das giros war uns zu fett, schade.

Geht so. Portionen sind kleiner, Preis aber (wie überall) größer geworden. Teils wirkt das Lokal an einigen Stellen etwas heruntergekommen. Service war präsent und flott, aber nicht herausragend. Kann man mal hingehen, muss man aber nicht.

Beim ersten Mal war das Essen geschmacklich noch ganz okay, aber mein Bifteki war fast roh. Beim zweiten Mal war in meiner Holunderschorle fast nur Wasser und kaum Saft. In meinem Bifteki war ein billiger Streukäse statt Schafskäse und ich hatte leider zu wenig Pommes auf meinem Teller. Für diese hohen Preise habe ich mir mehr erwartet.

Ne lohnt sich nicht… Essen ist nicht wirklich gut. Essen wird mit Fertigsoßen zubereitet.

Wir hatten nach mehreren Monaten wieder einen Besuch im Poseidon. Erster Eindruck, der Biergarten war um 12 Uhr zu 70% gut besucht. Der Kellner konnte uns keinen Platz zuweisen, da er vor dem Lokal eine Raucherpause tätigte. Wir hatten das Gefühl dass wir nicht willkommen sind, da der Kellner ziemlich unfreundlich uns bediente. Am Anfang gab es einen Ouzo der gefühlte 30 Grad hatte. Der Preis von 12.- € für 0,5l Wein (Retsina) erschien uns etwas zu teuer, zumal er nicht gekühlt serviert wurde. Der Salatteller beim Mittagsteller beinhaltet eine halbe Scheibe Tomate und eine Scheibe Gurke ohne Krautsalat. Das nach 50 min. servierte Gyros mit Reis bestand aus 50% Fettstücke. Das Gyrosfleisch war weder gewürzt nach hatte es eine braune Kruste. Es schmeckte einfach nach nichts. Das servierte Essen passt zum Auftreten des Kellners.
