A cozy Bavarian restaurant with authentic cuisine. The roast pork was crispy, the schnitzel tender and well-seasoned, and the liver and black pudding were also excellently prepared. The wait was pleasantly short, and the service was consistently friendly and attentive. All in all, a wonderful experience—we'd gladly return!

The Plantagenklause Potsdam Babelsberg caught our attention on Google Maps. During our several-day stay in Babelsberg, we were able to see for ourselves. We would happily recommend this establishment, as we received a very warm welcome upon arrival and were then well looked after. The beer garden is very nice. We enjoyed the food and drinks and felt very comfortable. If we're ever in the area again, we'd love to stop by again. So, maybe see you soon...

What we discovered: While Otto Hiemke may have the better location, the food at this restaurant was clearly outstanding! The dishes here simply tasted better and completely delighted us. So, if you value truly excellent German food, you should definitely stop here – even if the journey might be a little bit further. It's definitely worth it! We're repeat customers...and we'll definitely be back soon.

I visited this restaurant today with two other elderly ladies (all with walking frames). Unfortunately, I can only say that elderly, slightly disabled people with walking frames are not welcome there at all. The restaurant was almost empty – the waitress's jaw dropped when she saw us – she had to think long and hard about whether she could even seat us walker users! The food ranged from not great to terrible! I was looking forward to Bavarian cuisine, but was proven wrong! The staff were by no means friendly. There are steps in front of the entrance, we were never asked if we needed assistance, and we certainly received no help. We won't be returning to this "hospitable" establishment. What a shame, I was looking forward to Bavarian cuisine!

The food is mediocre. Almost no one drinks Hacker beer in Munich. Prices are high. That wouldn't work in Bavaria.

We ate here on the first evening of our vacation because it was within walking distance. Unfortunately, we were all disappointed with the food. Different dishes, but all with the same sauce. The roast pork was completely dry, the liver was sliced ​​very thickly, and everything was covered in too much sauce. It's a shame, really, because the service and atmosphere were very good.

The interior ambiance is a bit dated. Despite the nearby street, the outdoor seating is pleasant in nice weather. The food is good, the portions are generous. The service is prompt. Mobile payment is a bit outdated. Only Girocards (still called EC cards here) are accepted. Criticism about the non-acceptance of debit cards is met with a rude response.

Always very good and the food is delicious. It has been our tradition to have lunch here on Christmas Eve for many years. Of course, it's very busy on that day every year and fully booked down to the last table, so you have to wait a little longer for your food than usual, but we're happy to accept that.

Yesterday we had dinner at the Plantation Klause. Unfortunately, the visit was anything but satisfactory. Even the reception was uninviting: the waiter carelessly threw the beer mats onto the tables. The food itself also left a lot to be desired. The tomato soup was very oversalted, and the solyanka had a very neutral taste, almost boring. For the main courses we had, among other things: Goose leg with dumplings, red cabbage and kale. The kale was noticeably sour, and the dumplings were completely overcooked and mushy - apparently they had been in the water for far too long. The duck legs were tough and difficult to cut. But the worst came after dinner: At home I started having severe stomach cramps that forced me to go to the toilet several times during the night. The next day I still have severe stomach pain. All in all, the visit was very disappointing and we cannot recommend the restaurant at all.

Went to the Plante for Christmas dinner today. I had the roulade. There's actually only one thing to say: I've never been to a restaurant where the roulade was smaller than the potatoes.

Great food in a relaxed atmosphere! A table was also offered spontaneously and without a reservation. The service was courteous and very personable. I will come back, that's a promise!

It is an older institution in Babelsberg. The food was really tasty and the service was on point. The interior can definitely tell some stories. We will try to stop by more often.

Had our Christmas party there. We were there too early, so they set up a fire bowl outside and offered us mulled wine. The goose leg was very good and the waitress was always there for us. It was a nice evening.

Great goose, great German menu and good service. I've been to many Germans but this one makes it into the top 3. Insider tip also for Bavarian food and fruit drinks.

We can only advise against visiting this restaurant. Poor quality at completely overpriced prices. With the beef roulade there were warmed bread dumplings cut into two slices, the bottom sides of which were burnt to an inedible level and were exchanged (for an additional charge!) for potato dumplings, which must have been waiting to be eaten for hours in lukewarm cooking water and were anything but fresh. A liver loaf with a rubbery, hard edge that you could only cut away without being able to eat. There were also burnt and fatty roasted potatoes, whose consistency had noticeably deteriorated over the last few hours before consumption. A deep-fried schnitzel for almost 25 EUR, also with greasy dark brown to black potato rostis. In addition to everything, salad garnishes slapped carelessly onto the plate, some from a glass... Go eat somewhere else if you want to relax and are looking forward to eating, you'll definitely lose your appetite, especially when it comes time to pay. The indifference of the staff to critical comments about the quality of the food rounds off the overall impression of this gourmet ruin perfectly. Conclusion: Never again...!

Vom Besuch dieses Lokals kann nur abgeraten werden. Mangelhafte Qualität zu völlig überteuerten Preisen. Zur Rinderroulade gab es in 2 Scheiben geschnittene aufgewärmte Semmelklöße, deren untere Seiten ungenießbar angebrannt waren und (gegen Aufpreis!) gegen Kartoffelklöße getauscht wurden, die geschmacklich schon seit Stunden im lauwarmen Kochwasser auf Verzehr gewartet haben müssen und alles andere als frisch waren. Ein Leberkäs mit einem gummiartigen, harten Rand, den man nur wegschneiden konnte, ohne ihn essen zu können. Auch hierzu verbrannte und verfettete Röstkartoffeln, deren Konsistenz im Laufe der letzten Stunden vor dem Verzehr erkennbar gelitten hatten. Ein frittiertes Schnitzel für fast 25 EUR, ebenfalls mit fettriefenden dunkelbraunen bis schwarzen Kartoffelröstis. Zu allem lieblos auf den Teller geklatschte Salatgarnituren, z.T. aus dem Glas... Geht woanders essen, wenn ihr entspannen wollt und Euch aufs Essen freut, Euch vergeht mit Sicherheit der Appetit, spätestens wenn`s ans Bezahlen geht. Die Gleichgültigkeit des Personals über kritische Hinweise zur Qualität des Essens rundet den Gesamteindruck dieser Gourmetruine im Übrigen trefflich ab. Fazit: Nie wieder...!

Unfortunately, the spaetzle isn't made in-house and a few dishes have absolutely nothing to do with the Bavarian theme, so it's not possible without deductions.

CORRECTION: Two weeks ago I was there again and I have to say that things were completely different there. As soon as you sit down, the waitress comes and wants to know what you want to drink. Then you sit and study the menu and the attendant, sorry, is back and wants to know what you want to eat. Now we weren't ready yet, whereupon she turned around snidely and left the table without another word. We would then be punished with disrespect. When the food finally arrived, it was also disappointing (compared to the first visit). The sauerbraten was tough, the red cabbage was convenience product without any further “refining” and the dumplings came visibly out of the bag. My blackheads had similarly disappointing experiences with your dishes. Conclusion: The store has not improved, but has been relegated to the district league. I won't go there anymore. Sorry!

The two of us spontaneously went to the hermitage today and were completely thrilled. They offer delicious Hacker-Pschorr, Chiemseer Helles and now, for Oktoberfest, Oktoberfest beer from Paulaner, which tastes absolutely tasty and goes down like oil. I ordered a beef roulade with red cabbage and dumplings. The portion was absolutely a reasonable size and tasted excellent, even if the prices for the food were a bit high. We showed up there on Saturday evening without registering after a long day. Even though the restaurant was full and we had time, the extremely friendly waiter offered to let us wait a while. We first fill up with a beer in the very cozy beer garden. Afterwards we were given a free table. A dish was recommended to us and not without good reason. THAT was very tasty! Refreshingly cold beer and delicious food were served to us within a short time after a long bike ride in the cozy, shady beer garden. We liked it so much that we stopped there again the next day. (less than 10 minutes by bike from our accommodation at the Seminaris Hotel).

From the reservation, to choosing a seat, to food and drinks, it was a great experience. Cozy restaurant with fresh dishes that can be changed upon request. You sit "comfortably" on folding chairs, which may need better padding. Food was brought to the table within a good 40 minutes. Friendly staff, also asked every now and then whether everything was OK. Technically speaking, you can park quite easily on the side street. Toilets clean and well maintained.

So geht es nicht. Wer kann, sollte dringend wo anders hin. Beslnders mit Kindern!!! Wir waren in einer Gesellschaft von 40 Personen anwesend. Trotz Vorbestellung aus einer reduzierten Karte dauerte es 1,5 Stunden bis das erste Essen kam. Es wurden 5 Essen kommplett vergessen und bei einem wurde behauptet das Essen hätte ein anderer genommen. Entschuldigungen gab es nicht. Kinder und Kleinkinder haben nach 2 Stunden warten ihr Schnitzel mit Kartoffeln erhalten. Der letzte von uns wartete 2,5 Stunden. Einer erhielt garnichts. Ohne Entschuldigung, Vielmehr bekamen wir mit wie das Personal sich sogar gegenseitig anmache und sich beschwerte die Treppen hoch laufen zu müssen. Alls es uns reichte und wir gehen wollten gingen wir zum Tresen und baten ohne jede Emotionen um die Rechnung. Die Kellnerin sagte spöttisch nur das könne sie nicht das würde der Herr machen. Der hätte keine Zeit. Ich erwiderte zum Glück gäbe es Bewertungsportale wurde sie spöttisch und frech unfreundlich. Und das vor den Kindern. Ich habe weltweit einige Lokale besucht. Sowas habe ich in der Art nicht erlebt. Nicht nur das das Essen eher durchschnittlich und teilweise lauwarm war, sollte man zu diesen hohen Preisen mehr erwarten. Ich kann dem Besitzer nur raten Belegschaft einzustellen dessen intellektuelle Fähigkeiten ein Mindestmaß an Anspruch genügt. Für 2 Essen und 3 Getränke für 60 Euro geht das garnicht.

When we had had enough and wanted to leave, we went to the counter and asked for the bill without any emotion. The waitress said mockingly that she couldn't, that the gentleman would do it. He wouldn't have time. I replied that luckily there were rating portals, she became mocking and cheekily unfriendly. And that in front of the children. I have visited a few places around the world. I've never experienced anything like that. Not only was the food rather average and sometimes lukewarm, but you should expect more at these high prices. I can only advise the owner to hire staff whose intellectual abilities meet a minimum standard. That's not possible for 2 meals and 3 drinks for 60 euros.

Pünktlich zur Spargelsaison haben wir uns heute spontan ein wunderbares Mittagessen in der Plantagenklause gegönnt. Es war leer somit hatten wir geringe Wartezeiten. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Das Essen reichlich und sehr lecker. Wir können wirklich nichts schlechtes aussetzen und können diese urige Gaststätte nur weiter empfehlen.

Also, das war nicht das, was wir erwartet haben! Der Kaiserscharm war zum Vergessen! Klein geschnittener Kuchenteig! Nie und nimmer war das frisch gemacht! 👎 Grünkohl zum Essen, war schon kalt.🤔 Hähnchenbrust war von aussen so sehr angebraten, dass die Haut lederig war. Dafür war es innen noch roh. Sowas schafft man nur mit Tiefkühlkost!🙈 Dafür wurde für viel Unterhaltung gesorgt! Insgesamt kamen 4 Frauen und 1 Herr an unseren Tisch, um uns zu bedienen. Vieles wurde doppelt erfragt, vieles vergessen! Chaos pur! Der Gruss aus der Küche kam mit riesen Radau, hörte sich an, als wenn ein komplettes Weinregal umgefallen ist. Danach war noch mehr durcheinnander.😥😥😥👎👎👎 Schade ums Geld....😳
