Plaka-Athen in Taufkirchen (Vils)

We were there with the company. First of all, I had a fish platter that was completely burnt, the fish scampi with everything on top. The fries were completely soggy, and for €41, that was a complete disgrace. If I'd been there alone, I would have gotten up and left. I've never experienced such a disappointment. Incidentally, some colleagues have reported similar things.

Good food and fast service. If you go in the evening, make a reservation.

The service and ambiance were top-notch, but the food was a disaster. It had no taste at all, was dry, and extremely overseasoned. Unfortunately, it probably wasn't fresh either, as we had stomach problems for two days.

It doesn't look that inviting from the outside, but everything inside is top-notch. The service is very attentive and courteous. The menu is a journey from Bavaria and Italy to Greece. But everything was still good. Highly recommended.

The negative reviews are a mystery to me (to paraphrase the words). The dishes are very good, especially for lunch. The service is also a true family business. Above all, the owner and his wife are well-known Taufkirchen residents who are also involved in local clubs.

We were passing through. The food and staff were good and friendly. It's located right on a busy main road, making it very noisy. Since there are several shops in the building, there's no private restroom for guests, but a public one, which I find a bit of a shame.

I haven't been here for a long time. Service was partly very good, briefly unfriendly, but overall ok. The toilets could be renovated or the seating in the restaurant. Food was good.

Were there about 4 weeks ago, an absolute disaster!!! There's plenty of choice on the menu, so you can't complain. But the food itself - the noodles were still hard, the sauce was a thin broth that only tasted of salt, the gyros were bone dry and the meat didn't taste of anything except salt and had the consistency of cardboard. The pita was literally swimming in oil - you picked up a piece and it was dripping with oil. After I left the food after a few bites - they simply cleared it away without asking. When the waiter came over, I said again that the food was unfortunately completely inedible - they didn't even respond to that. I didn't get anything new or was asked if I wanted something new. So I went home hungry. Unfortunately very disappointing - I can't recommend eating there.

We got a grill plate for 2 people from the house. There's nothing to complain about. Price/performance great. Food very rich, hot and tasty. Everything fine.

To be honest, it's a mystery to me how anyone can find the food there even remotely good. The quality of the products is poor. The cheapest ingredients are used. Simply warm up the beans and peas and without any spices on the plate, the kritaraki will be overcooked. Everything is carelessly prepared, not even the cucumbers in the salad are cut properly. I would be ashamed to serve something like that.

Wir waren als Familie da und wurden leider sehr enttäuscht. Die Weingläser waren so extrem verschmutzt, dass man nicht daraus trinken konnte. Als wir es reklamierten, bekamen wir Pilsgläser. Ein Gericht war sehr versalzen, man konnte es nicht essen. Einzelne Komponenten wurden vergessen; auf Nachfrage erhielten wir sie nachträglich. Die Portionsgrößen sind sehr großzügig.

Went to the restaurant today for a birthday dinner. The staff was very friendly, passionate and competent. The fish platter was a real pleasure with the finest ingredients and also special requests. None of us could find a negative point of criticism. If I lived nearby, this would be my first choice for eating out. The chef even prepares homemade croquettes and minced meat. The taste is amazing!

Unfortunately, the visit to Plaka Athens was not as usual. We had to wait more than 75 minutes for our food. This also affected several guests. The mussels in tomato sauce was excellent, unfortunately the pita bread was missing. I hope for the team that this slip-up stays. Jamas and Kalenichta

Busy, all tables full - reservation necessary! We were served quickly, friendly and competently. The dog was also welcome. The menu is very extensive and varied. The food was delicious. The sanitary facilities, used together with a gaming room, have room for improvement. A little more cleanliness would be needed. All in all recommended.

Actually a gastronomy experience. Ellen-long map, everyone does everything and in a very confusing way. The older man behind the counter makes the drinks and brings the food, clears away and gives everything while the younger man plays in his handi. The nice young lady then brings the wrong food to the table twice. I cannot describe the flagship of Greek cuisine, tzatziki. It was just “different”. I wouldn't sell it as tzatziki but as solid quark without cucumbers and without garlic. Liver, souflaki, lamb and bifteki were drowned in a spice mixture, dry-fried. The gyro was a bomb, still juicy and of good quality. Salad nice and fresh, fries good and crispy, tomato rice flat. Oh yes, when paying you get cherry juice instead of ouzo. 😂 Ambiance and mood pleasant. Would I go for dinner again? No. Advantageous for the restaurant: A lot goes out of the house, good earnings.

Very nice staff. Food was very tasty. We were there twice and weren't disappointed. We were there on Wednesday, spoke to Stefan Mross through the owner and took a picture. We were very pleased.

Large menu and even a lunch menu. I chose the lunch schnitzel for 7.90 and was surprised at how sufficient the portion was. It tasted good too 👍.

Fast food Greek with premises for a restaurant. Unfortunately, without trained staff. No eye for interior design, everything very run down and worn out. The service was boring or unfriendly. The prices are overpriced for what ended up on the plate. Cold starter for two people for €28. Absolutely carelessly slapped from the ready-made bucket onto the metal plate. Without garnish or anything for the eye. Bread from the vacuum packaging wasn't even warmed up. Boring taste. Toilets in the hallway with a note that they were under video surveillance because vandalism had already occurred. We were there because nothing else was open. McDonald's would have been a better choice.

What else can you write about a good restaurant? Food very good and prices reasonable. The service team is very friendly and leaves nothing to be desired. We recommend

Die Portionen sind wirklich üppig und man darf die Reste problemlos nach Hause nehmen. Mein Favorit ist der Gyrosteller mit Pommes.

Bei einer Durchfahrt durch Taufkirchen, waren wir beim Essen im Plaka Athen. Das Essen hat uns geschmeckt. Fleisch war etwas trocken. Personal freundlich. Alles sauber.

Gutes griechisches Restaurant erfüllt alle Erwartungen!

Nach echten 30 Minuten (nicht gefühlt) wurden wir auf Nachfrage insoweit bedient, als dass wir Getränke bestellen durften. Als die Getränke kamen, wagten wir zu fragen, ob wir eine Karte haben könnten. Es kam tatsächlich jemand, die Speisewünsche aufzunehmen. Die Erkundigung, was denn auf dem warmen Vorspeidenteller ist, führte nach einigem Abraten von anderen Vorschlägen zum warmen Vorspeisenteller. Nach95 Minuten kamen vier gebratene Zuchinischeiben, sechs gebratene Auberginenscheiben, zwei TL Zaziki. Gebraten in Altöl mit Kohlepartikeln der darin vorgebratenen (vermutlich Fleisch-)Speise für 13 Euro. Kein Brot. Als ich beim Abservieren wahrheitsgemäß Auskunft gab, dass das Gemüse wohl sehr unglaublich herausgebraten wurde, fragte man, warum ich es gegessen habe. Es war ihnen immer noch nicht bewusst, dass diese paar Kalorien das einzige waren, das wir nach eineinhalb Stunden erreichen konnten, nachdem wir ja zunächst dachten, wir würden essen gehen und ich mich nicht zur Sättigung sicherheitshalber zu Hause verköstigen wollte. Hätten wir nichts konsumieren wollen, hätten wir nicht umständlich jemand bitten müssen, von uns Notiz zu nehmen, wären wir nicht mit dieser unsagbaren Anfängerspeise aus einer scheinbaren Chaosküche konfrontiert gewesen und hätten uns einfach unbeachtet aufwärmen können. Man muß noch sagen, wir hatten reserviert.

Preis / Leistung gut, sehr guter Service! Auswahl riesengroß...da muss man schon länger suchen. Tagesgerichte sehr zu empfehlen.

Nachdem ich nun die letzten beiden Mal derart enttäuscht wurde und die Qualität schon seit Jahren abnimmt, schreibe ich doch eine Bewertung. Wir waren im Restaurant zu sechst essen. Fünf Speisen kamen gleichzeitig. Die sechste wurde vergessen. Man versprach, sie gleich zu bringen. Nachdem wir anderen schon über die Hälfte gegessen hatten fragten wir nochmals. Es würde gleich gebracht hieß es. Spätestens da hätte man als Servicekraft in der Küche Druck machen müssen. Das fehlende Essen kam tatsächlich erst nachdem auch der langsamste Esser am Tisch fertig war. Es gehört m.M. zu den Grundregeln eines guten Restaurants, dass alle am Tisch gleichzeitig ihre Speisen bekommen. Letztens haben wir dann Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Die Speisekarte ist so gestaltet, dass bei den Vorspeisen zum Beispiel nicht ersichtlich ist, was alles bei einem Gericht enthalten ist. Bei einem Gericht wo nur Zucchini, Auberginen und Florini beschrieben werden, war dann doch auch noch gebackener Schafskäse dabei. Hätten wir das gewusst, hätten wir den nicht noch extra bestellt. Zudem war Gyrosfleisch dabei, was etwas unglücklich ist, wenn man die Vorspeise gewählt hatte, weil sie offensichtlich laut Karte kein Fleisch enthalten sollte.. Dieses extra Gericht mit Schafskäse, das wir zusätzlich bestellten, habe ich fotografiert. Es sind zwei Stück Schafskäse mit einem Salatblatt und einer Tomatenscheibe für 6,70€! Der Schafskäse schmeckt extrem nach Schaf, was mir persönlich nicht gefällt. Die vorher erwähnte Vorspeisenplatte war mit derart fettigem Gemüse bestückt, dass wir es nicht essen konnten. Das Pita ist in dem Restaurant normalerweise auch extrem fettig, daher bestellten wir es vom Grill. Resultat war ein sehr trockenes Stück Brot. Irgendwie bekommen andere Restaurants das besser hin. Ich werde auf jeden Fall nicht mehr dort speisen. Da bekomme ich in anderen griechischen Restaurants deutlich Besseres für mein Geld.

Gutes Essen, nette und freundliche Bedienung, tolle Atmosphäre - einfach super! Egal ob man reserviert (was man auf jeden Fall machen sollte!) oder anruft und sich das Essen dann nach Hause holt - man wird immer gleich freundlich und schnell bedient.
