Pizzeria Napoli 2 in Ettlingen

We went there for lunch with six people to celebrate a milestone birthday. The birthday person was immediately congratulated upon arrival, and there were flowers on the table. We ordered six different dishes, which all arrived almost simultaneously: pasta, pizza, salad, and arancini. The Pinot Grigio was well chilled and poured. The service was very attentive and friendly. All the dishes were beautifully presented, and we all enjoyed the food. The portions were generous, and the leftovers were packed up for us. This wasn't our first visit, and it certainly won't be our last. Thank you for a lovely lunch! :-)

The ambiance is simple but cozy. It was quite busy at lunchtime. The service was very friendly and pleasant (at first). The bread with oil that was served was perfect! Then came a wonderful vitello tonnato, top quality and superb in flavor, and plentiful. We could have skipped the bruschetta after the bread. It wasn't rubbed with tomato as is typical, just topped. For the main course, we had pasta with seafood, which offered a rather limited and unvaried selection of seafood, mostly mussels. The sauce was tasty, though a bit too salty. The scallops on cauliflower cream were absolutely delicious and interesting, but completely lacking in salt – which was easily remedied. However, the portion was definitely too small for €28. A friend had the Niçoise salad, which he didn't like because it had a lot of corn (which doesn't really belong there) and no beans, something he, as a "half-French" person, sorely missed. He left half of it. The server didn't handle this professionally. Not a word of apology, just "that's how it's supposed to be," end of story. Remember: A guest is always right!!! But that's how the mood soured. My friends probably won't go back. Next time, we'll share the really delicious-looking pizza like the people at the next table... The restroom was "multifunctional"—albeit clean. The women's restroom door isn't lockable and, as you can see from the tattered sign, has probably been stuck for a while. Beer and wine are too expensive.

The student offer is a lifesaver

This is the second time we've had problems with our order. The first time, we called after an hour and a half because they said the order hadn't been received and delivery would take forever. Today we ordered again for 5:00-5:30 PM. Shortly after 5:00 PM, I called to confirm everything was okay, and they said it would take 30 minutes. Our order arrived at 6:25 PM, cold, and the most expensive pizza was missing. This will be the last time we order from them.

Unfortunately, this pizza was a huge disappointment. The crust was okay, but the toppings left a lot to be desired. There was far too much tomato sauce, which made the pizza taste soggy and unbalanced. The cheese was only scattered in small clumps and barely melted – overall, everything seemed very carelessly prepared. It didn't look appealing either. Absolutely not recommended for the price.

We managed to get a table at the restaurant at short notice yesterday. The decor is beautiful and stylish. Due to space constraints, the tables are close together, but that didn't bother us. The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. Truly fantastic. For dinner, we had arancini as a starter and two pizzas. I thought the arancini were sensationally good. The pizzas (Parma and Crazy Pizza) were really good, topped with fresh ingredients, and the dough was also perfectly cooked. We liked the Neapolitan style of the pizza.

Small family business, a piece of Napoli in Germany

I've NEVER eaten a "pizza" like this. Rubbery cheese, tasteless, and expensive to boot. Never again. Let's get to the point: I threw this so-called pizza in the trash. That's all it is—but it's NOT pizza. I recommend Portobello in the village. Hello.

I ordered four pizzas for pickup today. Two of them were perfectly fine – they were prepared quickly and tasted good. However, there were a few things I noticed about two of the pizzas: • Salami pizza with feta cheese (+€2.50 surcharge): The taste was okay, but for the relatively high price, I honestly would have expected a bit more feta cheese. The amount was rather sparing. • Pizza Capricciosa: This pizza used to always have bell peppers, but this time it had artichokes instead, which I personally don't like. On your website, the Capricciosa is still pictured with bell peppers and without artichokes. If the recipe has changed, it would be wise to adjust either the image or the list of ingredients accordingly to avoid any misunderstandings.

We've eaten there several times and are always satisfied. The service is great, the pizzas are all top-notch, and the ambiance is modern.

Unfortunately, our visit was disappointing. We had ordered four pizzas and an appetizer for 8:30 p.m., and the appointment was confirmed. However, upon arrival, we had to wait 10 minutes at the door without receiving any proper attention. After 20 minutes, the pizzas and appetizer were delivered; sorry for the long wait, no words came. An examination of the first box revealed that the Parma pizza was missing the Parma ham, which was subsequently added. The Capricciosa pizza was missing the ham and peppers, and instead of the Panzerotti we ordered, we received Arancini, which were also cheaper, but we didn't realize this until we got home. The restaurant added the Parma ham later, but the Capricciosa couldn't be remade, which would have caused another wait, and the remaining pizzas would no longer have been fresh. To compensate for the missing ham, we received "something nice from the boss," a small bottle of Coke, which was truly inappropriate. The charge for four pizzas and an appetizer was €70, which seems exorbitant considering the quality and service provided. We would also like to note that this was a takeaway order. Overall, the visit was unfortunately very disappointing.

Unfortunately, my visit to Napoli 2 was very disappointing. I ordered a dish that, according to the menu, was supposed to consist of salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Instead, I was served cold salmon with mashed potatoes that looked like a cream sauce and fried potatoes, which were neither advertised nor tasted right. The charge for this dish was €28 – completely disproportionate for what I got. When I was asked if the food tasted good, I shook my head because I was already getting a stomachache. When another waiter was sent over to ask us what was wrong with the meal, he didn't even mention that the food was cold. The mashed potatoes were completely tasteless, and he then said they were freshly prepared with Parmesan cheese. I wondered why they put Parmesan in the mashed potatoes at all? Overall, it didn't taste like potatoes, so I didn't eat it. No apology for the cold food, and no insight. Overall, not good value for money, and unfortunately, not recommended.

100% Italian and exceptional food. A safe haven in a stormy sea.

First, we waited forever before we could even order. The antipasti arrived after over an hour. We had asked for a fried fish platter as an appetizer. When we ordered, they said it was okay. We weren't told that it wasn't possible until the food was already on the table. They just piled a lot of other antipasti onto our plates without asking. Then we waited another age for the pasta – in total, almost two hours had already passed. The restaurant wasn't full; the waiters were busy entertaining a table they obviously knew the whole time. As an apology for the antipasti, they brought us a piece of cake at the end. That was probably left over. Only to then charge us €21 per person for said antipasti. My first and definitely last visit here. Any restaurant in Italy would be ashamed of this service.

This was our first and last time ordering pizza and salad there via pickup. The price-performance ratio is outrageous. What a shame.

An absolute disgrace! After more than 2.5 (!) hours, the food arrived ice cold. We called immediately – and instead of an apology, we were personally barked at in a completely disrespectful tone by the manager himself. Rude, aggressive, and completely unsympathetic. When we protested against this tone, we were told in all seriousness that we were "overdoing it." His reasoning: It's perfectly normal for food to get cold from Ettlingen to Rheinstetten. What an absurd excuse! If you can't deliver hot food to customers that far away, you should simply stop the delivery service. After a long back and forth, the food was delivered again – this time hot. But of course, we had to return the first (cold) dishes. The store will never see us again. Anyone who treats their customers like this shouldn't be surprised when orders stop coming. Zero service, and friendliness is also nonexistent. An absolute disaster.

A solid 3. Two experiences in one week. In the restaurant and the beer garden, respectively. Staff were friendly but also very hectic. A bit uncoordinated. Ambience with three sources of noise. We could clearly hear music inside and other music outside, along with a dominant fan. The food, as mentioned, was good. Staff were nice. The rest, however, was uncomfortable. Delivery: The driver was on time, which isn't always a given. He called back and asked for the address, which is OK, too. Unfortunately, the pizza was almost cold. And not very nice to look at. The distance was about 4 km. With a €2.50 surcharge for delivery, you'd expect the pizza to arrive hot, despite the order slip costing around €80 and the short distance.

We ordered 2 pizzas and 3 pasta dishes. After almost an hour and a half, I called to ask where the food was. The driver had just arrived and was leaving now. When the food finally arrived, I was disappointed - it was ice cold. It's really great to eat cold pasta and pizza, and we paid 94 euros for it. The price-performance ratio here is not right at all. The pasta dish with shrimp only had 4 baby shrimp in it, which you really had to search for. The bill also stated 2.50 euros for delivery within Ettlingen. I have never seen that with any delivery service before and it is not mentioned anywhere here. It's a done deal - never again. The lady on the phone was very friendly, though, so 3 stars for service.

After waiting for over an hour and a half, we received cold food... On top of that, it was bland... It's a matter of taste, but the food was definitely better in the old days. Small portions for a lot of money. Unfortunately, the value for money wasn't good. The driver was very nice, though. Unfortunately, that didn't make up for it.

Excellent Neapolitan style pizza

No one makes a better pizza. Everything else you can eat here is like a trip to the most beautiful places in Italy.

We ate there once and it was good. So we ordered it for delivery today. When the almost €28 wasn't enough to get to Rheinstetten, no problem (we understand that), they said in the background, "Get a drink or something similar, then it'll be fine." So we ordered a third pizza, and that seemed to be okay for delivery. The pizza that arrived was okay, but nothing more, because it was different when warm. The mushrooms were stuck to the box, no baking paper underneath. The pizzas were very dark, the calzone was flattened, and the ham tasted like something cheap from the deli counter. The salami wasn't eaten because it was ordered for delivery, maybe for the evening. But the bombshell came: it took an hour and a half, then the driver called and they wrote down the wrong house number. Not so bad, but after another five minutes, he was there, and the bill still showed a €5 delivery charge, which no one ever mentioned. Simply cheeky. There was no point ordering a third pizza if the delivery charge was still €5. We certainly won't order from here again, and we won't be visiting the restaurant again due to the current situation.

Simply abysmally bad! Lasagna was cold, the dough tasted soggy, the seasoning was odd, and the order wasn't ready for pickup. Any frozen lasagna tastes better. I don't think a single Italian works here. €14 - never again!

I've only eaten pizza so far and have always been satisfied. But now I ordered spaghetti carbonara once and it was inedible. The food was kind of oversalted, and when I say that, I'm saying something because I like my food a bit saltier. And the sauce had nothing to do with carbonara, and for €16 such a small portion is disrespectful.

The taste was very good, but definitely not enough for the price. The salad was almost all leaf lettuce, there was just 1 cocktail tomato and 5 zuchini slices on the whole pizza, and far too much cheese for that. The noodles were extremely small, but extremely expensive. In addition, a very long waiting time, even though there is hardly any activity. Very unfriendly service. We won't be coming back.

Ich war/wir waren schon öfter im Napoli2. Grundsätzlich sind wir mit dem Essen zufrieden, die Pizza schmeckt, die Pasta ist oft aussergewöhnlich. Es gibt gute Sachen auf der Karte. Der Service ist aufmerksam aber etwas gekünstelt. Die Preise sind in der Tat zu hoch. Für eine 0,33 Cola zahlte ich 4,00 Euro, für einen Salat mit Schafskäse 16,00. Preis-/Leistung passt leider nicht, da der Salat einfach war und der Schafskäse nichts besonderes. Schön, dass man Pizzabrot bekommt. Mir/uns gefällt jedoch das Ambiente und wir kommen trotzdem einmal wieder.

Great pizza! The food there is really good and the toppings are fresh. They give you an appetizer for free at the start. ( Bread and a little olive oil ). The bread u get is the same thing as the crust of the pizza. It's very fluffy. I highly recommend it ! it's pretty pricey though.

We ordered pizza salami once and pasta carbonara once. The pizza was ok, but the pasta was very bad and for 16€. They were totally over salted, didn't taste good and the bacon was big pieces of fat. Too bad :/

Pizzeria Napoli 2 The pizzeria is located in the center of Ettlingen. Is easily accessible by bus and train. It's a small but nice pizzeria, very good and great wines. The food is very good and tasty. The service was absolutely top, the staff very nice and accommodating.

Delivery was repeatedly late (this time almost 1 hour) which is unbearable if you order as a family. And not even an apology...

Simply fantastic! Excellent food, both the pizza and pasta were simply great. The service from Luigi and Amando was great, we have rarely experienced such a nice and child-friendly service. 100% recommendation, definitely the best and friendliest Italian in the area with a good price-performance ratio. We'll definitely be back!

Wir wollten es Mal probieren ... Tische wurden nicht gereinigt, waren klebrig und verschmutzt, der Service war gerade noch ok, das Essen ähnlich wie im Schnellimbis, die Getränke schlecht temperiert. Das einzige was mächtig war, war die Rechnung. Im Ergebnis leider viel zu teuer für das was geboten wurde... wir gehen dort auf jeden Fall nicht mehr ESSEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very tasty food and nice service. I can only recommend it. The tagliatelle bolognese were incredibly tasty, as were the pizzas.

I think here you want to be more than you are. We were taken to the “tent” and there was an atmosphere of a garden party but with a “high quality” feel. Prices are relatively high, a 0.25l wine as the cheapest price 9 euros is quite steep. An aperitif not under 10 €? So guys, if it had a really nice atmosphere or a great view here, then I would understand that, but you mostly have a tent as a restaurant, so that's not possible. In so many beautiful restaurants an aperitif doesn't cost more than 8/9 euros... I don't know... And the biggest thing for me personally is that you call yourselves Napoli 2 and then you don't even have a wood-fired pizza? Even the smallest mini restaurants in Naples have a stone oven. I do not understand. The pizza is delicious but baked without a wood oven it's only half as good! (Except that it has a thick edge and a thin base) I just don't understand. If that's right...

We recently booked Pizza Napoli 2 as a caterer for our event and absolutely love it! The food was simply excellent. The chili cheeseburgers were particularly good – juicy and full of flavor! The small pizzas even arrived warm and were a great addition. The cold dishes were also very attractively prepared and not only looked good but also tasted delicious. The dressing was perfectly balanced and gave the dishes that certain something. Overall, the service from Pizza Napoli 2 was simply top. We can only warmly recommend this caterer and will certainly book him again. Thank you for the great food!

Just wow! The starters were very diverse and delicious, the main course of pizza, pasta and fish surpassed the others. I can only recommend a visit, you immediately feel welcome and get top service, very good food at a fair price-performance ratio. Thanks to the Napoli 2 team

Disaster. Waited an hour for the order on site even though the pickup time was confirmed. Staff unfriendly. Food just okay. No lemon etc on carpaccio and anchovies. Not recommended

Despite registering, we waited over 1.30 hours for the food. The “greetings from the kitchen” only came after more than an hour. The edge of the pizza is so wide that I can order pizza bread better. The taste was okay, but the price-performance ratio wasn't. Even though we were a large group, there was almost no demand at all. We didn't feel well looked after. In winter the tent was nice, but you still have cold legs. We won't go there anymore. Pasta, on the other hand, was rated as better.

Wait an hour for the food, then call to ask what's going on and get the answer "we're leaving now". Nothing more arrived

Ordered pizza and salad, the ingredients and taste were actually okay, but salad had far too little dressing, pizza was ordered with 2 extra garlic for an extra charge of 2 euros, which was completely missing, delivery came after two hours instead of 50 minutes, which was not The problem would be if you knew it, pizza was ice cold. Menu actually looks very interesting, but probably won't order again. At this price level there shouldn't be much to complain about.

Perfect pizza, very attentive and friendly service, nice atmosphere

Great pizza. Soft in the middle but not mushy and perfectly baked. Not too much of a crust, but the one you have is nice and fluffy, soft, melts in your mouth and doesn't become tough even when the pizza cools down. There was no shortage of toppings and the tomato sauce was also nice and fruity.

Die schlechteste Pizza die ich seit langem gegessen habe. Durchgeweichter Boden, Pizzateig wie Gummi (fast nicht zu schneiden) ansonsten schönes Ambiente aber Preise deutlich zu hoch, vor allem bei den Getränken. Service auch verbesserungswürdig. Werde dort nicht mehr hingehen.

Italiani in Germania aufgepasst... Se anche voi fate fatica a trovare un ristorante italiano dove mangiare del buon pesce, una pasta al dente o la pizza come si deve. Napoli 2 in Ettlingen macht es möglich. Qui si mangia 100% cucina italiana. Calorosa accoglienza da parte del titolare Fabio, attenzioni al tavolo per tutta la sera, staff molto gentile ma signori miei i piatti..a dir poco, strepitosi. Raccomandiamo i Paccheri ai frutti di mare, piatto EPICO!!! Tagliatelle all'astice, delicati e deliziosi. Felici di questa scoperta, abbiamo trovato il nostro Napoletano di fiducia. Torneremo presto. Actually, I was always very enthusiastic about Napoli 2. Unfortunately, the last two were disappointing. Once on site, where the guest felt the internal problems, the second time to pick up. Price/performance ratio disproportionate. Maybe you should concentrate a little more on the important things instead of trying to emulate a very good restaurant in Baden Baden. It's actually a shame, I always enjoyed being there. Maybe you take the comment to heart and the Napoli 2 becomes a little more down-to-earth but also better again. All the best

Ordered Italian salad for €14. Portion corresponded to a side salad, you had to look for the ham and cheese with a magnifying glass. 0.7 l mineral water €7. Staff arrogant. Never again.

Very inconspicuous at first but when you look inside it's a really nice restaurant. Service was very courteous, quick and friendly. The pizza was super tasty! I often eat Neapolitan pizza in various restaurants and I can say that you won't be disappointed here. The pizza was very tasty and the table next door who had ordered pasta with fresh truffles also looked really great! Therefore, we have to come again. I also really need to know what the divine olive oil that was served with pizza bread was called. That was very, very good!

I would like the old flair and the old prices better.

For an iceberg lettuce with a bit of chicken, €16 is absolutely unbearable. There wasn't even a tomato or a cucumber on it.

Unfortunately we weren't thrilled at all. We went here based on a recommendation. We were only greeted in a semi-friendly manner. Unfortunately the waiting time was unreasonably long. The starter/greeting from the kitchen came after 45 minutes, after other tables (which were occupied later) had long since received something. We had to wait 70 minutes for our two pizzas (after we had already asked). It was a similar situation at the neighboring tables, often the wrong food was brought or forgotten, tables that ordered later received their food much earlier, etc. The food didn't taste or look great either, so we didn't even finish it. 2 pizzas and a bottle of water cost us €37.00 and it wasn't worth it. Everything took a very long time, the service staff only managed a smile when saying goodbye and the mood among the employees was also rather bad. It's a shame, based on the recommendation we really expected more. (Unfortunately no photos of the food were taken, but we were really hungry.)

After 1.5 hours of waiting, unfortunately no delivery was received. After a telephone inquiry I was shouted at.

We had a really good meal there six months ago. Significantly worse now and not in the future. The potato side dish was overcooked, the pizza was very doughy and sloppily prepared, even smaller than before. We complained, a service employee took our criticism with regret and wanted to come to our table again... yes, he wanted to... but he wasn't seen again. Cutlery and glasses also a bit dirty. Great prices... a hefeweizen for 6 euros!

Pizzas are good, the rest are pretty average in terms of taste and the prices are too high. However, very arrogant owner who doesn't accept any criticism and quickly becomes abusive. More appearance than reality... We won't be coming back...
