Pizzeria Mimmo u Santo in Köln

We have been here 3 times now. Pizza is good, but the pasta dishes and antipasti weren't that great, even though the pasta was probably homemade (!?) But no matter, the atmosphere is great, everything is a little old and you feel like you've been teleported to Italy in the 80s. We like this so much that we would like to come back (and then we will only eat pizza).

Authentic Italian cuisine. Santo is already an institution in Nippes, as his restaurant has existed for more than a quarter of a century. The pizza was and is always crispy and delicious. Various oils for seasoning (spicy, garlic) are available on request. There are many seasonal variations on the daily menu.

Great restaurant! The food was very tasty and the service was also very friendly! If you need to eat gluten-free, this is the right place for you. Everything is available gluten-free and, above all, great attention is paid to contamination. We will come back and can only recommend it! :)

A great restaurant where you can simply feel good. And that too as a person with celiac disease! ❤️ It's such a nice feeling that the menu tells you that the need for hygiene measures is taken into account - but that it doesn't make any difference in price and tastes good, that's just a nice feeling. In addition, the staff is very friendly and the service is incredibly fast! Even though I came here mainly because of my celiac disease and the selection of local restaurants is very limited for me, this would be a restaurant that I would visit again and again even without celiac disease ❤️

Weird location, half ice cream parlor, half restaurant and pizzeria. High ceilings, not really comfortable but somehow. Well, okay. The food was TOP! Simple and good. Classic carbonara and a very good zabaione. Everything as it should be. The Monte fits the price. Good. The service very good. Friendly, attentive and interested. All! Thank you for another lovely evening.

This is the best Italian ristorante with a gluten-free menu that I have come across so far. The gluten-free dishes are not limited to the usual pizza and store-bought pasta. There are also homemade gluten-free cannelloni, bruscetta, tiramisu and more. The service is top and the atmosphere is typically lively Italian. The only thing that is difficult in Nippes is finding a parking space. But the fantastic food is always worth the effort.

Really a super delicious Pizza Diavolo. Well topped and not too greasy. The taste is simply delicious. The employees were friendly and the service was very attentive. I will go here more often.

The service was horrible. Rude, unfriendly extremely slow even though it wasn't super full. The food was ok but nothing special and for sure not worth the money we payed. But what ruely ruined the whole experience was the very bad and unfriendly service.

Nice pizzeria with very tasty food and super nice staff! There's a whole page with gluten-free dishes, even gluten-free beer! We were hungry after a concert and no restaurant was still open at 10:15 p.m.! We still got food here and even our special requests were fulfilled at this time! The staff were all very nice, greeted everyone and were always smiling! Really great! We will come here more often!

Pizza Diavolo was tasty, could have had a little more fire, just like the bruchetta with tomato garlic, was also a little too mild. Dad tiramisu was a dream, super tasty 🤤 Most of the items on the menu are also available gluten-free, which is also a dream for our daughter, who suffers from celiac disease 🙏 We'll definitely come back more often from now on, keep it up

We were here for dinner. We didn't have a reservation, but since we were there around 6 p.m., we managed to get a spot. It might have been better to reserve a table a little later. I had pizza D.O.P for you and it only had mozzarella on top. That surprised me a bit and I was missing something in terms of taste. In my opinion, the pizza was tasty, but could have used a little more flavor. We also ordered the anchovy pizza. There wasn't even an anchovy on each slice of pizza, which was a bit rare. But the taste was delicious. We found the atmosphere okay, but the decor seemed a bit outdated. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all, we've had better pizzas before, but we would go again.

Vinimos a cenar aquí después de ver buenas críticas. El personal fue excepcional desde el principio. Nos trajeron menús en inglés de inmediato e incluso arrastraron el tablero especial para que pudiéramos verlo claramente. Pedimos una pizza Margherita y una calle. Pizza de ágata (jamón de Parma, rúcula y parmesano). Ambos somos deliciosos y toda la comida era muy razonable. Vale la pena parar.

Have been to Mimo a few times now. Very nice service, very tasty pizza and a wide range of gluten-free food. And the blast - at very, very fair prices! It's definitely not the last time we've been there :-)

We've been coming for years. Pizza. Salad and pasta were always excellent (we haven't eaten anything else there). Last time we had a friend with gluten intolerance with us. There is also a whole page on the menu with gluten-free dishes, including pizza, of course. The service is friendly and the waiting times are short. The space is high and airy, but not cold.

I've been going there for almost 30 years and have always noticed that after the renovation it has unfortunately lost some of its charm and coziness.

Actually an Italian restaurant that we always enjoyed going to. Unfortunately we waited almost an hour for our food today. When it came it was cold. After the comment, the pizza was taken away again. A minute later she came back slightly warmer but completely dry. A piece was missing. The worst part is that no one cared. No question as it was, no apology...

We visited today with 10 guests. A starter platter for everyone was supposed to cost €20 and was just ridiculously small. Not even olives or cheese on it. The main course was not delivered to one of our guests after 20 minutes, even though the others had almost finished eating and we asked several times. The spatial design is almost reminiscent of an untidy workshop and it is simply too dark because there are not enough lamps. The quality of the food did not convince us for the most part. Sometimes there wasn't enough sauce in the pasta, or the noodles were mushy/sticky. Things were found in a carbonara (woody stems) that didn't belong there. Parmesan cheese and olive oil were only available upon request and far too little for so many guests, even though they were part of the dishes. That was definitely our last visit. I only know better Italian restaurants in Cologne!

Best gluten free pizza ever eaten. A colleague had a “normal” pizza and thought it was great too. You can also have vegan mozzarella if you are intolerance to lotose. There is also gluten-free beer and desserts. It was very crowded, so you had to make yourself known if you wanted anything else. But it didn't bother me, service was very nice. I will come back.

Super nice service. Very Italian. You have to like the style of the large room downstairs, it will be too bright and loud for some. But that's just part of life. Quiet at the back if you want to be comfortable. Good pizza, nice daily menu. The employees are all super nice and do a great job. Currently and therefore only 2 stars: smoking is allowed in the outdoor area at the front and some guests do so completely recklessly. Even when children are running around and sitting at tables. For me that's not okay. Sure, you can also eat inside, but I don't think it's up to date anymore. It would be nice if smoking wasn't allowed at dining tables. This helps children, pregnant women and certainly ensures greater satisfaction for the majority.

Best gluten-free pizza I've eaten in Cologne so far. I like coming here. One of my favorite restaurants. It's great what there is here. I just find the ambience too loud. The upper floor is not very comfortable. This could be redesigned a bit.

Unfortunately not recommended, neither the pizza nor the pasta nor the ice cream taste good. Unfortunately it was a very big disappointment.

I ended up there spontaneously and by chance on Saturday afternoon. The pizza was delicious and on the table extremely quickly. Service is friendly and on the ball. The ambience is typical, not uncomfortable and not luxurious. I can only recommend a stay.

Fast and friendly service. Both the starter and the pizza were very tasty. But most importantly, I didn't wait long. The only drawback is that the shop could look nicer inside.

We were all very, very positively surprised. After recommendations from our friend's celiac disease group, all of us, including our friend, were completely pampered. So the food was really very tasty, the service was discreetly present at all times and the ambience was also great, with very slight drawbacks due to the equipment and the parking situation. But of course we would love to come back, probably even tomorrow...

It's a very nice restaurant, the food was delicious and the staff was very nice. Unfortunately the drinks are quite expensive. Packaging costs extra, but the price is OK (50 ct.). Gluten-free pasta variants did not cost any extra charge.

For a starter I had gluten-free bruschetta, which was very seasoned and tasted really good. The gluten-free pizza (no extra charge) was very tasty and a little smaller than the regular pizza. The gluten free tiramisu was just to die for. We will definitely come back. Thank you that there are restaurants like this where you can eat without any worries, even if you have an intolerance.

We were in Cologne over the weekend and the Italian restaurant was right next door. Since it was full on the first evening, we ordered something to take away. Because we were so excited, we went back the next day and this time we had a place. The food tastes great and the service is very friendly, recognized us straight away.

If pizza then at Mimmo and Santo.

Really good Italian restaurant. It’s a paradise for gluten intolerants and celiacs. You can order anything from the menu gluten free. They also have gluten free beers and tiramisu. I cannot express hoy happy I was to eat what I normally cannot eat. Highly recommended

We have been eating here for many years because we avoid gluten and milk. Very tasty pizzas, great atmosphere. My recommendation for locals and guests of the cathedral city.

I ate spaghetti with seafood. They were really fresh and didn't come from the freezer! They weren't picky about the amount of it either. The service wasn't excessive and the atmosphere was like an Italian family: everyone has their role but there's still a lot of talking.

Unfortunately, the food and service were not convincing. The pizza at the next table looked good though. Overall, we were just missing something here - the warmth, the cleanliness of the restaurant itself, the ambience, the taste of the food...

Celiac Disease Info: Have been there many times and there are numerous, very tasty gluten-free options.

We have ordered here several times and have to travel a long way to get to a pizzeria with such an extensive gluten-free menu. The pizza is delicious and it's incredibly nice not to have to go through a huge effort (as in many other restaurants) to find out which dishes are gluten-free, only to end up having to choose between two salads. Just like with Mimmo u Santo, you want it everywhere.

Leider haben wir keine 5 Sterne Erfahrung gemacht! Es fing schon unerfreulich an: Unser Tisch war für 4 Personen (eine von uns mit Krücken) zu eng. Wir haben 3 x persönlich nachgefragt ob wir nicht an einen der anderen, nicht reservierten Tische wechseln können. Nein, die müssen frei bleiben für größere Gruppen. Es kam die ganze Zeit keine einzige größere Gruppe, die Tische blieben frei, und wir haben uns den ganzen Abend an unserem gedrängelt. Pizza frutti di mare,- ich kann nur für DIE sprechen. Ich hatte bei der Bestellung extra gefragt, ob der Belag aus diesem (leider oft servierten) geschredderten Meeresfrüchte-Mischmasch oder einzelnen sichtbaren Meeresfrüchten besteht. Antwort: „Normaler Belag!“ „Bitte fragen Sie Ihren Koch ob ich wirkliche Meeresfrüchte auf der Pizza haben kann!“ Die Pizza kam und auf dem Belag aus Meeresfrüchte-Brei lagen ein paar Tintenfischringe! Die Pizza war total durchgesuppt, so feucht, dass der Teig von der Gabel rutschte! Für diese Kreation habe ich 20,- € bezahlt weil, Überraschung, die Tintenfischringe unter 'extra Belag' laufen und zusätzlich bezahlt werden müssen. Die anderen drei unserer Gruppe, die schon öfter dort waren und unbedingt in dieses Restaurant wollten, waren durch die enge Tischsituation bereits einigermaßen befremdet. Über meine Pizza und den dann geforderten Preis, waren sie nur noch entsetzt! Das hätten Sie noch nie erlebt, das ist das erste Mal hier, dass das passiert …! Tja, was soll man dazu sagen? Wir wollten uns einen schönen Abend gönnen! Der unerfreuliche Empfang, die Enge am Tisch und der stolze Preis für die 'Spezial-Pizza' haben ihn eindeutig weniger schön werden lassen.

Bisher nur zum Mitnehmen bestellt, sie sind kompetent und sympatisch. Dazu sind echte Italiener so wie die Pizze die sie vorbereiten. Die Pizze sind sehr gut. Mehr kann man nicht wollen. Danke!

Lecker und irgendwie herausragend

Der italienische Himmel auf Erden! Obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten, wurde uns nach kurzer Wartezeit ein Tisch angeboten. Wir waren sehr froh, weil wir zwei Personen in der Familie haben, die Gluten nicht vertragen. Im Mimmo u Santo gibt es ganz viel glutenfrei (Pizzabrot, Pizzen und Nachspeisen). Meine Pizza Verdure war die leckerste Pizza, die ich seit langem gegessen habe. Auch die Nachspeise (glutenfreies Tiramisu) war ein Gedicht. Alle Servicekräfte super nett und lieb!

Die Glutenfreie Pizza ist bis jetzt die beste in Köln! Kann man auch mit veganem Käse bestellen sehr lecker. Auch die normale Pizza ein träumchen <3 nach dem ersten Besuch waren wir den Monat noch drei weitere Male dort. Muss man mal gewesen sein.

Immer wieder sehr freundlich im Service, auch wenn wir einmal wieder nur auf einen Kaffee vorbei kamen. Familiengerechtes Restaurant mit ansprechender Karte aber auch leckerer Eisauswahl. Pizzas lecker, Vorspeisen reichhaltig. Sehr schön für Familien. Hatten heute eine sehr schöne Auswahl an gut gelungenen Tagesgerichten. Die gewählte Dorade war sehr gut. Trotz ganz heftigem Betrieb bleiben die Servicekräfte freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Glutenfrei hat mir noch nie so gut geschmeckt, Mega lecker und der Service war auch sehr nett. Empfehle ich weiter :)

Sehr gutes italienisches Restaurant. Wurde mir von einer Freundin empfohlen und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Guter Service und gute Auswahl. Habe die Pizza Vitello Tonato gegessen. Keine klassische Pizza von den Zutaten aber sehr lecker. Teig hätte aber noch etwas fluffiger sein können. Vorspeisenplatte war richtig lecker. Werde wiederkommen. Es gibt eine Extrakarte auf einer Tafel. Nächstes Mal werde ich davon was probieren

Mein Stammitaliener. Sehr gute Pizza, leckere Pasta, gute Weinauswahl, fleißige Bedienung Was will man mehr?

Ich habe diesesmal nur etwas getrunken. Die Pizzen sahen aber sehr gut aus und waren auch ordentlich groß. Aus meiner Erinnerung heraus schmecken sie auch sehr gut. Einen Punkt Abzug gibt es, da eine Kartenzahlung erst ab zwanzig Euro möglich ist und nur mit EC-Karte, keine Kreditkarte. Edit Ende September 23: Die Pizzen schmecken sehr gut. Der Teig ist für meinen Geschmack einen Tacken zu dünn geraten. Er hat gar nicht gehalten, mit der Hand hätte man die Pizza nicht essen können. Zum Glück isst man eine Pizza im Restaurant aber ja mit Messer und Gabel. 😅

Glutenfreie Pizza, zumindest Margherita kostet nicht mehr als die Normale, alles super lecker. Gluten & Glutenfreie Auswahl sehr im Gleichgewicht (Pizza, Pasta, Nachtisch,..) Große Pizzen, Preise sehr gut, nur extra zutaten sind bisschen happig, nächstes mal Spinat ohne Gorgonzola :)

Wir hatten heute das Vergnügen, das Restaurant Mimmo u Santo zu besuchen, und ich muss sagen, es war eine hervorragende Erfahrung. Wir entschieden uns für die glutenfreie Pizza Diavolo und die Pizza Vitello Tonnato, begleitet von einem erfrischenden Capriciosa Salat als Vorspeise. Alles, was wir bestellten, war einfach perfekt zubereitet und köstlich. Die Tatsache, dass sie sogar glutenfreies Bier anbieten, hat uns besonders beeindruckt und glücklich gemacht. Das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam, und die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war angenehm. Wenn Sie auf der Suche nach glutenfreien Optionen und hervorragendem Essen sind, kann ich das Mimmo u Santo wärmstens empfehlen. Wir sind absolut begeistert von unserer Erfahrung dort! Wir kommen definitiv regelmäßig wieder 😍 vielen Dank!!!

Mega leckeres Essen mit super Service

Mir gefällt besonders gut, dass es ein Ort für die ganze Familie ist. Außerdem gibt es glutenfreie Pizza und on-top noch eine „Eisdiele“ mit drin. Der Service ist familiär italienisch.
