A very traditional restaurant. You still feel like you're in Italy. The decor, the music, the service, the food – simply wonderful.

We received a very friendly welcome, and the service was also very friendly and good. I had Pizza Vulcano and a delicious Gutmann Hefeweizen.

BUT!!!!!!!!: I received a truly well-balanced meal, garlicky notes, spices, etc., all perfectly matched to the preparation, fantastic! OK... there was an unnecessary amount of cheese on the pizza... But really, even for a party there, for example - all good... But if you don't finish your meal and want to take the rest to go, there will be an extra €1 per guest on the bill. Unannounced. Then the comment was, it's on the menu, yes, maybe, but a bit further back... I have to honestly say, I come for the food, not to study the menu pages! Be careful, the more guests, the more expensive it gets... then, if! I also wouldn't say anything if the unnecessary extra money were divided among all participants in the group and not just on the last person who also pays for themselves. (!!!!!!!)

Good pizzas, there's also a lunch menu and a lunch set menu. The pizzas are reasonably priced.

We only had two Margheritas to go, but they were really good!

Six of us went out to dinner last night. The only thing that tasted good was the starter—bruschetta. The pizzas were a disaster. The spaghetti carbonara was practically tasteless. The pizza bread had no seasoning. I had penne arrabiata with shrimp, which simply had a tomato sauce with zero spice, and everything was swimming in oil. The waiter didn't ask if everything tasted good or okay. Instead, when we pointed out that it wasn't, he told us we weren't used to it... I'm sure no one will see me there again...

The menu offers something for everyone.

We've been regulars for 25 years (1-2 times a week), but unfortunately, there's now a new owner. The pizza is much smaller. All the great regular staff are gone! It's also become very expensive. We won't be coming anymore.

Pizza as it should be, and huge portions, delicious. The pricing policy is incomprehensible; for example, a salami pizza is under €10, while a spicy salami pizza is almost €15, and I personally don't like the regular salami at all; it's full of fat and poorly decorated. Spicy oil and garlic oil also now have to be paid for separately. Drinks have become expensive. The tiramisu was only sweet with a sweet sauce; no one at our table liked it. Friendly staff, but they don't know how to handle criticism and immediately feel attacked if you say you weren't full. Everything is clean and tidy. A varied menu, a varied daily special, and expensive dishes. Everything has just gotten more expensive. The best wood-fired pizza for miles around. The pasta dishes are also amazing. The boss is always friendly and accommodating. I'd definitely go back.

Great! The pizza is prepared in the entrance area (you can watch it being prepared). The service was very friendly and fast. All wait times (ordering, drinks, eating, paying) were very short. We were amazed. The pizzas are hot, large, generously topped, delicious, and reasonably priced. The pasta dishes are also excellent! You can almost always get a seat without a reservation.

The portions were generous, and the value was very good, but I expected more from the advertised stony pizza. The crust and crust were too soft. I had hoped for a nice, crispy pizza.

Unfortunately, our last visit to Restaurant Michaelangelo completely fell short of our expectations. The dishes had little flavor—neither the pasta nor the Parma ham on the pizza, which didn't even taste lightly salted. Overall, it seemed as if they were skimping on the quality of the ingredients, even though the prices are now significantly higher. Particularly worrying: My husband and I had severe diarrhea about 20 minutes after eating. Of course, we can't say for sure whether this was directly related to the food—but something like this has never happened to us before. We used to be regular guests, before the change of ownership, and we were always very satisfied. It's a real shame how the restaurant has turned out. Unfortunately, this was our last visit.

The food tastes just as good as it used to be. Prices have gone up significantly. In my opinion, charging for a takeaway package or a plate to share a meal is a no-go.

We ate at the Michelangelo over 20 years ago. Today, after several years, we went back. What we found had nothing to do with the Michelangelo. The service staff had been almost completely replaced, and they had been working there for years. There's really only one thing to say about the food: It has nothing to do with Italian cuisine. A restaurant like this wouldn't survive in Italy. The ambiance outside isn't particularly inviting either, and one misses the Italian flair. Unfortunately, I no longer recommend it. I'm also surprised by the positive reviews.

Very tasty and inexpensive food!

We've been here several times. Be sure to reserve a table! The restaurant is always busy! The staff is very friendly! The meals are very generous. You should go hungry, or have the leftovers packed and take away. The prices are absolutely reasonable. For 5 people (2x Pizza Calzone, 1x Pizza Firenze, 1x Spaghetti Seafood, 1x Spaghetti alio e olio, 1x extra cucumber salad and a drink), we paid just over 80 euros! Every pizza comes with a green salad. The only downside: it's quite loud! Conversation is difficult because you have to speak loudly, too!

Italian cuisine as it should be. The pizza is so large you'll almost have to force it to eat. The service is witty and especially friendly.

The food was excellent. Sea bream was on the daily special. The oven-baked pasta dish was also delicious. The owner should only reconsider the pricing of the house wine. It was a bit expensive compared to the rest of the menu.

One of the best pizzerias in Ingolstadt for decades. We love going there or picking up a pizza from there. The pizza is always generously topped and tastes very good. We highly recommend it.

We used to go there more often now we don't have enough money anymore because everything has become more expensive, but it's always nice to go out for a fancy meal here and just try it out

Michelangelo was a good Italian restaurant for many decades. Unfortunately, in my opinion, this has changed since the last change of ownership a few months ago. The chefs and staff are no longer Italian and the quality of the ingredients in the dishes has deteriorated dramatically. Even simple things like salami or ham taste poor. There was also an extremely rude incident when I was eating here with friends recently. Unfortunately it no longer has anything to do with the former Pizzeria Michelangelo.

I have been a loyal regular customer for around 40 years, but the restaurant has declined massively since the takeover. The pizzas are almost raw, the toppings and ingredients seem cheap and of poor quality. Spaghetti Vongole was a disaster, the smell was repulsive, and even the appearance left a lot to be desired. It's a shame, but I can't recommend the restaurant anymore!

I've never had a stone oven pizza that was good but then again it wasn't. This is because the ingredients were of poor quality, for example the ham that was pressed and the salami was really not good, cheap. The dough was just barely cooked through and you could almost still taste the flour. We didn't dare ask whether the mozzarella was real or a cheese substitute. Went shopping in Ingolstadt Village while passing through.

A disappointment in the "Italian" restaurant From the outside, the restaurant looked promising: Italian lettering, flags and an atmosphere that suggested authenticity. But as soon as we entered, the disillusionment began. When I asked if the staff were Italian, I received a resounding "no". Despite initial doubts, my son and I ordered two pizzas: a Margherita and a Diavola. What we were served had little to do with Italian cuisine. The pizza dough was half raw, the crust was inedible, and the supposed "mozzarella" was burnt and rubbery. My son's Diavola was an oily disaster - inferior salami, dripping with fat. The ingredients were more reminiscent of discount frozen goods than Italian craftsmanship. The price difference was particularly irritating: 6 euros more for a few slices of salami is completely excessive. The restaurant should better offer dishes from its own culture instead of pretending to be Italian authentic. Luring customers with flags and supposed Italian cuisine is not only misleading, but also disrespectful to real Italian food culture. A clear recommendation: avoid this restaurant if you value quality and authenticity.

Unfortunately, the Michelangelo has greatly diminished. My “Pizza Michelangelo” looked very pale and tasted accordingly, apart from that it was topped with probably the cheapest salami. My wife's calzone, on the other hand, was undercooked and without tomato sauce. All in all, the food wasn't good and I'll avoid the actually good place in the near future.

“Spaghetti Vongole” that aren’t Vongole. Drown in tomato sauce instead of white wine/olive oil sauce. The taste was catastrophic - the noodles were cooked soft. Has absolutely nothing to do with the actual dish. I picked it up - if I had eaten there I would have sent it back.

Very pleasant atmosphere, super fast service and great food! Can only be recommended. Paid just under €40 with 2 drinks, 2 main courses, a salad and 2 espressos.

Everything used to be better. I enjoyed being there, the food was excellent. But today. The spaghetti carbonara was really subpar. The ham wasn't roasted like normal but simply boiled ham cut into 2x2cm slices from the supermarket, the sauce was thin like water and not creamy or even, as I know it, slightly flaky. I've rarely had such bad carbonara. Only the service is great, as always. Really a shame. I don't know if I'll go there again.

The pizzeria is very nicely decorated. The food is very good in terms of taste and quality. Big compliments to the kitchen. The portions aren't exactly small either. The entire team is very warm and accommodating. A great team at the start. Here you can feel really comfortable and be pampered.

We were at the Michelangelo again after years, the waiters are still the same as they were 20 years ago, that's funny. The tenant has changed. The pizzas are very, very good. The dough is very fluffy and delicious. The topping is lush. Unfortunately, the fried anchovies were far too dry and there was still room for improvement with the buscetta as a starter. Still everything was nice. The ambience hasn't changed over the years.

Despite the stress of a Sunday evening with a full shop and what feels like 500 pizzas to order, with a little patience you can get top quality food.

Very clean restaurant-pizzeria, excellent pizza from an Italian pizza chef, other very good dishes too, but the difference is made by the historic waiter Aniello who seems to be more the owner given his welcome and care for the customer.

When you come in you can see how the pizzas are freshly prepared in the wood oven. Bruscetta very good, pizzas were very good and large, well topped, tasted very good. Side salad would not be necessary. Seating a bit tight for 3 people. The aisles in the restaurant are also very narrow.

Wir waren heute mit 10 Personen hier zum Essen. Erst mussten wir ewig auf die Bestellung der Getränke warten. Bis die Getränke kamen, vergingen weitere 15 Minuten. Da der Kellner nur schnell schnell alles aufnehmen wollte, vergaß er natürlich ein Getränk. Nach weiterer Wartezeit hatte dann endlich jeder etwas zu trinken. Beim Essen ging das Trauerspiel weiter. Ein Kinderschnitzel wurde komplett vergessen. Also mussten die Kinder noch weiter auf ihr Essen warten, währenddessen wir anderen unsere Essen schon hatten. Leider kann ich kein gutes Haar am Essen lassen. Die Nudelgerichte schmeckten nach gar nichts, egal, welche Soße man hatte. Gott sei dank gab es genug Salz und Pfeffer sowie Knoblauch, um das Essen einigermaßen schmackhaft zu machen. Kalbsschnitzel war verbrannt und trocken. Pommes total versalzen. Das einzig Positive: Die Pizza Fantasia muss wohl gut geschmeckt haben….. Künftig werde ich diesen Laden nicht mehr Besuchen.

An institution in Ingolstadt, we pick up something to take away here every now and then and are always satisfied. It's great that you can, for example, You can also order 10 pizzas and on the phone they always say: "ready in 10 minutes", you never have to wait long here. But card payment would be good, especially for large orders. The staff is always friendly, everyone greets you. The pizzas are crispy and hot by the time you get home and even the salad is beautifully presented in the bowl, fresh and a large portion (salad to be picked up is often rather disappointing). Can't say anything negative, keep it up!

Siamo capitati qui per caso e abbiamo ricevuto il classico trattamento di una famiglia italiana in un ristorante di connazionali all'estero: estrema gentilezza del personale a compensare una cucina decente ma non eccezionale. Come in ogni ristorante di area germanica, l'acqua minerale ha costi esorbitanti.

Sorry, but I can't understand the good reviews in any way. Both the quality of the food and the service have deteriorated 100% since the change in ownership. The last 3 visits to this restaurant were not up to the usual standard. The first time noodles failed, we didn't say anything. It can happen sometimes. On the second visit, however, the pizza was still half raw. The waiter apologized 1000 times. That was you. Yesterday was the absolute highlight. A large salad plate that only tastes like vinegar. No white bread with it. A seafood pizza that was just soggy with water floating on it from the frozen seafood. And all this in a pizzeria that claims: The absolute highlight is certainly our crispy pizza from the wood-fired oven. Let us pamper you. As compensation, the owner then offered us an espresso. But we politely declined due to the manager's unfriendliness and lack of insight. As a former regular, I will no longer enter this restaurant.

This no longer has anything to do with being Italian. We always enjoyed being there and often picked up. Unfortunately, the last few times have been simply disappointing. The pizzas are far too mushy, too greasy and simply no good ingredients left! The noodles are a joke, pure mud. The 4 formaggi had nothing to do with cheese. No taste, not even parmesan and salt helped. It's really a shame, the food WAS really good there...

We have been customers for years and it always tastes very good. The pizzas are large, which unfortunately has a small disadvantage: they get a little cold by the end. Unless you are fast, which is difficult given the size! A small, green salad is always included as a special feature. Keep it up, we'll be happy to come back.

Despite the change of tenant, I was (as always) really satisfied. I can't understand the negative comments about the food. The pizza tasted exactly like the previous owner's. I can't imagine that anything has been changed in the recipe. It was crispy and generously topped. For the life of me, I couldn't taste any difference in quality!

The beer garden wasn't very well maintained and I wasn't inside. Food was good and came quickly.

Unfortunately, we were assigned a table that was far too small compared to the number of people we had reserved for. We sat very closely and it was impossible to eat together, so we divided ourselves into free tables. Food was otherwise good.

Best pizzas in Ingolstadt and other very tasty food at fair prices. My absolute goto.

I went here almost everyday of my 2 weeks+ business trip. The restaurant is always packed during dinner time and you can see almost all of them are local here. The pasta here is tasty and I always asked for pasta customization. In addition, the food here is not as salty as other restaurant which I was really surprised. My favourite customization is Spagetti Napoli with prawn, zucchini and mushroom with balance of protein and vegetable.

Ordered pizzas to take away for the first time after changing operator. Pizzas were delicious. Just a little tip, cut the Parma ham thinner.

After the first visit, which was already catastrophic: some of the food was received incorrectly, the toppings and taste of the pizzas were subpar and we were cheated out of around €100 on the bill (EC payment apparently didn't work that day), we dared to make a second visit . However, the service was even worse, our food for 8 people came three times and extremely delayed. The staff who served and in the kitchen were completely overwhelmed. The prices are also completely exorbitant. But you get 1000 times better food and, above all, top quality at the noble Italian restaurant. Not to mention the outdated furnishings. If you expect good service, taste, quality, you should definitely avoid this restaurant!
