Pizzeria Media in Hamm

I can't explain why the place has such a good reputation and is constantly packed. We've been here several times now and each time the food was just "okay" for everyone involved. Carelessly prepared, side dishes forgotten, cold dishes, no timing/interest in the service and the dough on the pizza is a crime. The grilled squid and the pizza rolls were quite good with the aioli. When the restaurant is full, the acoustics at the table are a disaster.

Very good Italian restaurant with a beautifully designed ambience and the option to sit outside. The food was really delicious and the service was nice and pretty quick. The price is a little higher than the competition, but the quality of the food definitely justifies it. I can highly recommend a visit here.

We've ordered and picked up lasagna several times over the last few weekends. Otherwise always very satisfied. Today we were completely disappointed. No taste, where was your salt? Not enough bolo, watery you could say. I hope this doesn't happen to us again!!!!

As always, very good👌, whether pizza, pasta and other specialties. The staff is always very friendly and on the ball😉. We feel very comfortable, but the ambience outside by the hedge doesn't fit at all with the inside and the winter garden; we would only sit there if nothing else was possible. This could be designed to be of higher quality.

The supposedly best pizzeria in Hamm has probably rested on its laurels for too long. I can't understand how anyone can find this pizzeria so good. About the service: what is it? Unfriendly service, no asking if you would like anything else to drink. Requesting the bill is virtually impossible because there is no waitress in sight. The food: what happened there? The pizza tastes like nothing. It's like smearing the pureed tomatoes on the pizza. That wasn't the case before? Does anyone not feel like it? The pizza with the special sauce (which used to be so intense) didn't taste like anything. So honestly people. Whether it works or not, do something about it. Or are too few people saying anything? Ambiance: Very nice inside, but also noisy, which can't be avoided. And if you can see the parking spaces outside, why am I complaining about the ambience? I can't join other people in that. Please, dear owner, I know that staff is difficult to find, but that's not possible. And the chef should fill up his spice rack!

One star because there is no option to give “no star”. Underground!!! Subterranean pizza, even worse service. Greasy, dirty glasses, parking lot ambience, toilets unclean. We waited an hour and a half for our pizza. People who came after us got their food before us because they apparently knew the waiter privately. But honestly... if I had known that the pizza wouldn't even taste good... So if I hadn't been there with a group of 7 people, I would have left much earlier. When we asked when our food would arrive, the waiter was also cheeky. Never again!! I really can't recommend it to anyone.

Pizza was ok, but waiting 1.5 hours for the food was definitely not ok! I understand if the shop is full and there are therefore longer waiting times, but if people come after us get their food sooner (and I observed this with at least 5 tables that came after us and received their food earlier) that's fine not at all. When you spoke to the waiter, he got snotty and said the other table behind us had ordered 2 minutes earlier, that may be true, but the other 5 tables that me and my friends had observed hadn't. The food may be good, hence the many good reviews here, but the service was very poor. That's why I ate here last time. P.S. Service is one of the most important things besides food!

We waited 90 minutes for the food, which is extremely long for local pizza. There was no notice that it would take longer and a number of collections were prepared during that time. The food wasn't good enough for the price and especially not for the waiting time

One of the best Italian restaurants in Hamm, this place is traditional Italian. The service is in a timely manner and the food is always fresh, so you can’t go wrong with choosing anything off the menu. If you are a fan of traditional pizza or pasta, this is the place for you. If you have room for dessert, the famous Tiramisu is a must try. The atmosphere of this place is quite nice with an Italian style seating. The restaurant has a menu in English, so I took photos from this menu to put up here on my review. Staff are nice and welcoming and the prices are reasonable and affordable. I would recommend a visit to this restaurant.

So, I usually like to go to Media again and again or pick up food there to take home. But today it was just bad. I ordered 3 dishes plus pizza bread there and 2/3 of these dishes were wrong. I have to say that the third dish wasn't good either. The luxury pizza “Pizza Verona” probably had bad broccoli on it, which gave it a fishy aftertaste. It's probably less normal on a pizza with chicken. In addition, my pizza bread was burnt and old. By the way, that wasn't the first time I got pizza bread like this. My last point is that I don't think they ever kept the time stated on the phone. Sometimes you actually have to wait several minutes in front of the restaurant even though you leave later.

Food was quite okay. ..50 minute waiting time for a pizza which was too long for me, service I have to be honest was a catastrophe, my salad wasn't brought and I tried to bill later .. so unfortunately that was it for me with Pizzeria Media, I used to love coming here

Food was very tasty, the waiter who took the order seemed a bit annoyed, even though there wasn't much going on.

We are class O5 and we were bel on June 19th, 2024 The restaurant was busy, but still very tidy and clean. The atmosphere was chic. The staff were particularly nice and very friendly. The food was served quickly and tasted delicious. One of us received a birthday tiramisu as a gift. Great! Thank you - we'll be back.

Wir sind die Klasse O5. Das Restaurant war gut besucht, trotzdem sehr ordentlich und sauber. Die Mitarbeiter*innen waren besonders nett und sehr freundlich. Das Essen wurde schnell serviert und schmeckte super lecker. Einer von uns hat sogar ein Geburtstagstiramisu geschenkt bekommen Großartig! Dankeschön - wir kommen wieder.

I visited the pizzeria after a long time. Pizza tastes good as standard, but the service bothers me more. Somehow you don't feel welcome. Overall, it's not like it used to be.

Unfortunately I cannot agree with the good reputation. When I think of the term fine pizzas, I imagine something different than what you see in the picture. In addition, the food was ice cold. Maybe on busy days you should think about stopping acceptance instead of letting the food go out like that.

You are served by several waiters in a prefabricated building at a large intersection. Bread and pizza came to the table after a corresponding wait, completely ok because it was fresh. Unfortunately, the pizza didn't differ from a good pimped frozen pizza, quite the opposite. A pity.

Unfortunately we waited 1.5 hours for our food today. With such a long wait, maybe offer some bread in advance, or a schnapps at the end, that might have lightened the mood a bit... The pizza was tasty, but the base was very soft; my friend didn't really like it.

Very busy shop, but quick and friendly service. We had the starter plate, a bottle of Frizzabtino, a bottle of Perlegrino, two main courses and two espressos. We only paid 62 euros for it and were amazed at the really cheap prices. The pizza and the pasta taste good. Even though I've had better pizza: 5 stars because the overall package is absolutely TOP.

Huge selection of dishes, but no one at our table was really impressed. We had 5 pizzas and 2 pasta dishes. The bases of the normal pizzas were unfortunately very soft (spongy). I was unlucky with a shrimp/spinach/garlic/special sauce pizza: the waiter told me the special sauce was tomato with hollandaise, but it was just hollandaise. There was no garlic at all, so it was very bland. The two pasta dishes were also very “mildly” seasoned; the Gorgonzola was particularly unpalatable in Tris. However, the price of the food is very moderate. (The 26cm pizza only has a diameter of 23-24cm). But what's the killer with media on the weekend: the volume is unbearable. We would have liked to sit together with the family, but it was very uncomfortable and we left early. Due to the large crowd, the service was slow. The staff seemed partly “untrained”, but not unfriendly.

I come to Hamm from Arnsberg specifically because of the Pizza Etna. However, I have to say today that the journey was not worth it. There were long waiting times due to too few staff, but the staff were still very polite. The food tastes very good, but the quality suffers from the long waiting times. I waited a total of 65 minutes and then the wrong pizza arrived, which meant another 15 minutes of waiting. I could understand why customers had previously complained because I too had to wait an hour for my order. At first I thought it was funny, now I have to say it's not acceptable. It would be advisable to employ more staff, especially on weekends and in good weather. Today I am very disappointed, especially because there was no information, which I think is a shame. Although the sale of food outside the home went smoothly, there were long waiting times in the restaurant itself. Too bad

Pizza is very tasty, but be prepared when you want to pick it up, that's all. Don't get the pizza thrown in your face. Very very rude staff. A hello or goodbye is a foreign word for them. And I haven't figured out why they have a phone number since they don't answer it anyway. But hey at least I was able to fold my 30cm pizza like Nutella bread, since the pizza roller has yet to be invented for this pizzeria.

They even have gluten-free pizza and pasta on the menu.

Food was very tasty. The staff friendly. Can be recommended.

The extra thin pizza was limp, the ingredients were of poor quality (especially the salami) and the bechamel sauce was nowhere to be found in the lasagne and it tasted watery and like pure mozzarella. The pizza rolls were still almost raw and I could swear that you wouldn't find a stone oven in this kitchen. The salad consists of 50% iceberg lettuce, which in my opinion has no place in such a restaurant. The tables are so close together and without separation that you end up hanging with one arm in your neighbor's food. All in all we were very disappointed, especially after all the positive reviews.

First of all I have to say... It's best to make a reservation! It's very crowded there. I have to say that the food was very tasty. The staff was super nice and the food arrived relatively quickly, despite the amount of customers (it was very busy). We sat in the winter garden with nice heaters and a pleasant volume. We had a great time chatting and enjoying our pizzas. Clear recommendation.

Pizzeria Media is a very good pizzeria with a very good selection of food. These are prepared very lovingly and are highly recommended for the eyes and the palate. Starters and desserts are also great. The service is friendly. Therefore full marks.

- Essen war ok. Wenn man Bock auf vielfältige Pizzavariationen hat, ist man hier richtig. Hier gibt es alles was man nur auf eine Pizza packen kann. Ist aber nicht mein Stil und denke auch nicht der eines traditionellen Italieners. Die Spaghetti Carbonara gehen gar nicht. Schmeckt nur nach Sahne. - Ambiente ist eher wie eine große Halle ohne viel Stil. Es ist sehr laut und der Wind zieht kalt rein. - Service war stets gut und aufmerksam Wer ne schnelle Pizza möchte ist hier gut aufgehoben. Wer ein gemütliches Essen mit seiner Frau erwartet sollte woanders hingehen. - Preis: ist gut für die Leistung

Waren im türkischen Restaurant. Service mäßig, lange Wartezeiten. Personal schien manchmal etwas überfordert da viel Gäste anwesend waren. Das Essen war gut und reichhaltig.

Wir waren, mit 7 Personen, recht spontan und hatten Lust auf Pizza. Wir hatten keinen Tisch bestellt. Der Chef hat es möglich gemacht das wir trotz vollem Laden einen Tisch bekommen haben. Die Pizza war schnell da und mega lecker. Wir können die Pizzeria 100% weiterempfehlen. Service und Preis top.

Fand ich leider nicht so gut. War früher mal besser. Haben verbrannte Pizzen erhalten. Nach unserer Beschwerde wurde die schlimmste ersetzt und wir haben Pizzabrötchen aufs Haus erhalten. Die ersetzte Pizza hat geschmeckt. Die weniger schlimm verbrannten haben nicht so gut geschmeckt. Erstmal werden wir dieses Restaurant meiden. Vermutlich werden wir nach einiger Zeit dem ganze nochmal eine Chance geben.

Gutes Essen zum angemessenen Preis. Es wäre jedoch schön, wenn das Personal aufmerksamer wäre. Bei unserem heutigen Besuch fühlten wir uns fast schon nicht willkommen. Mehrfach haben wir uns gefragt, ob das Absicht war oder nur sehr viele Zufälle während eines Besuches. Das darf m.E. in einem Gastronomiebetrieb nicht passieren. Leider musste ich daher meine vorherige Rezension dahingehend anpassen.

Wir sind seid viele Jahren Kunden der Pizzeria Media und waren eigentlich zufrieden gewesen. Leider scheint es aber das die Pizzeria nach ihren Umbau einen Höhenflug bekommen hat. Geschmacklich haben sie etwas nachgelassen was wirklich sehr schade ist da es früher wirklich sehr gut war. An Höflichkeit kann so mancher Mitarbeiter arbeiten. Nur einer ist wie immer sehr freundlich geblieben. Bei manch anderen kommt es so rüber als ob sie genervt sind. Preise sind okay. Service hat leider stark nachgelassen. Sind sonst immer gerne an Geburtstagen zum essen in die Media gegangen und haben und auch sonst wohl gefühlt. Doch das hat sich leider auch geändert. Länger Wartezeit ist keine Seltenheit. Haben telefonisch essen zum abholen bestellt und sollten es in 30 min abholen. Waren pünktlich nach 30 min da und bekamen eine papige Ansage das es noch 5 min dauert , man hätte volles Haus. Nach den angesagten 30 min stand man draußen im Regen nach weitere 35 min. Drinne durfte man nicht warten da da nur Gäste die vor Ort speisen rein dürfen. Bestellung und Abholung von Speisen zum mitnehmen ist ausschließlich draußen am Fenster möglich. Als das bestellte Essen endlich fertig war, wurde eine Pizza vergessen worauf man weiter warten musste. Keine Entschuldigung, kein guten Appetit, nix kam vom genervten Mitarbeiter. Gerade seine Einstellung und Umgang mit weiteren lange wartenden Kunden war eine Geduldsprobe. Schade, waren wirklich gerne da essen gewesen aber unter diesen Voraussetzung nur noch eh selten. Aber die Hoffnung, das Media zur ihrer Ursprünglichen Familienfreundlichen Pizzeria wieder zurück findet, die bleibt. Man hat Verständnis dafür daß nach langen Arbeitstag Mitarbeiter genervt, erschöpft,...ist, aber der Umgang mit Kunden darf dennoch nicht darunter leiden .

Sehr schickes und edles restaurant. Weniger ein schnell Imbiss mit Kindern, sondern hauptsächlich ein gemütliches Mittagessen oder ein Treffpunkt mit Freunden. Im großen und ganzen echt toll. Der Service allerdings ist sehr langsam und es dauert auch mal 30 Minuten-1 Std bis die Pizza fertig ist

Meine Lieblingspizzeria, allein schon wegen der Edelpizzen mit Sauce Hollandaise. Der Besitzer schaut regelmäßig persönlich nach dem Wohlergehen seiner Gäste und der Service ist immer supernett. Hier gibt es neben Pizza, Pasta und Salaten auch sehr gute Fleisch, Fisch und Gemüsegerichte. Attribut: Sehr empfehlenswert!

Stress ist für diesen Gastronom kein Problem Weihnachtsessen mit 28 Personen, humorvoll, aufmerksam und lecker dazu. Wir kommen wieder!

Wir sind schon einige Jahre Stammgast bei der Pizzeria Media in Hamm. Wir kommen extra aus Ahlen. Das Essen ist immer sehr gut. Der Wohlfühlfaktor ist sehr hoch. Der Umgang ist sehr familiär und herzlich. Es ist schon Bemerkenswert was das ganze Team der Pizzeria Media jeden Tag, und das schon über Jahre leistet. Vielen Dank für viele schöne Stunden.

Ich gehöre, was für Restaurants natürlich schade ist, zu den Leuten, die ihr Essen nicht fotografieren. Sorry. Aber, Media gehört zu den besten Pizzerien in Hamm. Der Service ist top. Waren das letzte mal mit 20 Leuten da. Das Essen haben wir, auf Rat von Media, vorbestellt. Alles hatten das Essen in einem Zeitraum von 5 Minuten. Super. Lecker wie immer. Die Salat Pizzen muss nan erwähnen. Die sind klasse. Preis Leistung ist top.
