Pizzeria La Vita St. Georgen in St. Georgen im Schwarzwald

We ate here during our vacation. The food arrived very quickly, which surprised and irritated us. We were also made aware of the hot plate. The meal, schnitzel and veal cheeks, was very good and impressed us. We had an excellent wine with it, which was perfectly presented by one of the three trainees! We really want to highlight the service provided by this young man (an Asian). He was excellent! The ambiance in the restaurant is extremely tasteful. We felt very comfortable and had a lovely evening. If I had to criticize something, it would be that the trainees don't yet know the aperitifs. We found it rather endearingly funny (in the best sense) when a young man asked us whether we wanted a sherry, whether it was still or medium 😅 We took it in good spirits and explained it to him. After all, we were all young once and in training. No one should forget that here. There was also an experienced female assistant there, who, in my opinion, had everything under control. One look at her and she was there immediately. Only the female trainee didn't seem particularly interested. That was my observation when she served at the next table. Maybe she was having a bad day.

Truly exceptionally delicious pizza at a great price. There was nothing to complain about! We'd gladly return.

A very disappointing experience; I absolutely cannot recommend this place. We arrived and ordered our food. We ordered a pizza and the house special, ravioli with chanterelle mushrooms. They were sold out of chanterelles, so we ordered spinach ravioli instead. Several other guests arrived right next to us, having ordered their food about 10-15 minutes later. Guests at other tables received their food before us, even though they had also ordered pizza and pasta. We waited and waited, but no food arrived. When we asked the server if we had been forgotten, she went into the kitchen and then came back to tell us, "No, we haven't been forgotten; the order slip is still hanging in the kitchen." After waiting for about an hour, our food finally arrived. By then, the guests who arrived after us had finished eating. The pizza was tasty, but the ravioli were not only oversalted, but the portion size was also outrageous: 6 ravioli for €15.90. That amount was perhaps enough for an appetizer, but certainly not a main course (see picture). It was a very disappointing restaurant experience and I absolutely cannot recommend it.
