Very cozy, incredibly delicious food and great service.

We were always greeted warmly and served excellently, and the food was always delicious. 😋 Dogs aren't a problem, which makes us very happy. We'd be happy to come back.

Great food, really friendly staff, reasonable prices. One of my favourite places in Zittau.

It was very nice. The owner opened the door for us outside of opening hours. Not everyone does that. Respect and thanks for that. And we got a Krapp on the house.

Delicious pizzas, the service could be a bit more enthusiastic, but perhaps the waitress was having a bad day. Parking is free and easy right in front of the door on the square.

This wasn't my first visit to Franko, but it will probably be my last. I was there about two years ago, and everything was great. 👍🏻 But yesterday I was totally disappointed. We sat outside. It was barely busy. It took forever for the waiter to come and take our order. The food came relatively quickly and was delicious. But after that... We'd been finished for at least ten minutes, and no one came to clear our plates. No service during that time either. Instead, the whole clan sat next to us at the table with their phones, beers, and cigarettes in their hands... instead of paying any attention to us. There was no tip, and they'll have to think about the next visit. What a shame.

Hard to rate this, as eventually had to walk out as no sign of food turning up. Waited a long time to place orders (15+ mins), then a lot longer to get half the drinks, longer for the rest, then after over an hour find out they have forgotten our food order. 6 person table, right next to the service counter, really can't figure how it did not occur to them that all those other tables that were seated later, ate, paid and left, might indicate something is wrong with ours? Went to another pizza restaurant nearby, order taken in 3 mins, served drinks 5 mins later with bread and olives, food soon after. How it should be. Sorry Franko, can't recommend you to anyone hungry or used to normal service.

We had a lovely evening, but with a few drawbacks. The service was not very friendly. The food took quite a while. The goodwill regarding our voucher was detrimental to the business, as we were told that the voucher was only valid for one year. They would inform the purchaser of this. And if they didn't inform the recipient, they were out of luck. I don't know what kind of facade the pizza is living up to; it can't be gastronomy.

There were four of us eating there. The portions weren't big but they tasted good.

A super delicious calzone at a fair price. The service was also very friendly, if perhaps a bit inexperienced. Unfortunately, something was wrong with the beer. Instead of the pilsner we ordered, we received something very cloudy with a strange aftertaste. This phenomenon was also observed at neighboring tables. When asked about it, the service simply said she was sorry. They didn't offer a replacement, nor did they remove the drink from the bill. Hence only 4 stars.

It was delicious, and I received quick, competent, and friendly service. What more could you want?

The food was excellent, but the service should be reconsidered. Neither a "hello" nor a "thank you." The waitress came over, simply placed the cards on the table, and said, "Would you like a drink?" It took ages for our plates to be cleared, and when we paid, there was neither a "thank you" nor a smile. Just a dismissive "ciao." Everyone can have a bad day, but you shouldn't take it out on customers. It's a shame, because the food is very good, but we won't be coming back.

We had the starter plate for two and bruchetta. It was excellent. Very tasty. For the main course, we had two salads. Not good at all. Lots of iceberg lettuce with two tomatoes and a cucumber. No arugula as advertised. On top of that, an orange, sour, thick mush. We sent that back. Our waitress must have been having a bad day. We were greeted in a bad mood, and no matter how friendly we were, she didn't improve. There was a second waiter. He was much friendlier.

After reserving a table an hour in advance, we were already inside this restaurant, which resembles an old cellar. The food was excellent. The wait was a bit long, and unfortunately, the food arrived too far apart for everyone at the table. If that's still okay, it gets 5 stars.

The food was really great👍 The salad was beautifully presented and so delicious! The pizza was a dream...and so was the pasta.

Apparently, single parents with children aren't welcome in this restaurant. I've been to many restaurants with my child, but I've never experienced anything like this. You've been greeted snippily. Ordering was quick, but the food took ages to arrive. Subsequent guests got their orders first! The food was okay, but nothing special. Clearing the table also took forever. And when paying, the very arrogant waitress gave you another condescending look. So, we definitely won't be coming back.

We are currently having dinner here. The food is good, but the staff is an absolute disaster. My partner understands German, but when I try to speak English, the staff clearly shows no interest in communicating or being helpful. They’re unfriendly, unprofessional, and show zero respect for non-local guests. As for the service — I’d rather not even comment… Such a negative atmosphere really ruins the whole experience. It’s a shame, because the food itself is actually quite tasty.

Whenever we are in Zittau we come here. The food is very tasty, the prices are cheap, the service is good. The Tagliatelle Salmone are particularly recommended.

Unfortunately, food wasn't our cup of tea this time. The service seemed stressed and annoyed. Cobwebs need to be removed from the ambience. Let's see if we can go there again.

The last time we came was six months ago. At this point the food was less good, but today we tried it again and the food was better than ever. Highly recommended!

The food was very tasty and the price was right too.

The service wasn't even worth one star. It can happen that you get the wrong pizza. The first homemade lemonade was very tasty, the second was a glass of water with syrup. When I asked how something like that could be, the waitress said the tetra pack was gone. When I returned the glass, I got the delicious lemonade again. But now our table was no longer served and the glasses were empty. At the other tables the young woman asked if there was anything else we wanted, and she always walked past our table. There's only one thing that helps: they'll never see me in the restaurant again.

The food is very good and the service is friendly and quick, but without being hassled. The restaurant is rather small and cozy, so it's worth making a reservation in advance - there aren't many places available for last-minute visitors. Unfortunately we couldn't pay by card or similar today, but we had enough cash with us anyway. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely eat here again.

We were here spontaneously yesterday, in busy times and yet absolutely super-friendly top service, wonderful ambience, we had various dishes and desserts, everything was absolutely tasty and the quality was excellent. It was a real treat! Thank you very much! We're not from here, we'll definitely be back!

Waste of money. The food is average if anything, my chicken was sour. Long wait until the food was ready, it took almost 2 hours. Waitress is overwhelmed, small restaurant too many tables.

The food was average. The carpaccio was pathetic and was served without a baguette or slices of toast. The pasta dish was dry and the seafood on the pizza marinara was very manageable. The service was poor. Long waiting times despite few tables being occupied. We had to wait a long time for the cutlery while the food got cold in the meantime. Service was friendly but overwhelmed.

We ordered pizza to take away and it was absolutely convincing! Really delicious. 😋

The food was good but the same food was different on 2 consecutive days. You quickly notice that the owners are not Italian, Insalata Pomodoro was a mixed salad with yogurt dressing and (according to the menu) Balkan cheese.

Went there for one take away pizza. Good pizza, efficient service! We went for a basic margarita.

I love this restaurant...First I came to a cozy, hygienic and beautiful restaurant. I ordered a Margherita pizza and it was FANTASTIC, but unfortunately a very long wait. But I can tell you it's worth it. Like any normal person, I had to go to the bathroom and I was amazed at how clean it was. The service was very friendly, but I kept seeing another waitress sitting at a different table after a service and always had her cell phone out. Overall, it is recommended if you want to eat a good pizza.

Unprofessional, disappointing, annoying! Went there as a group and several food orders were "forgotten", which the staff only noticed after 1.5 hours. Sorry nil! Food that was ordered but not served still appeared on the bill.

The food is tasty but the pizza is mediocre, the staff in the kitchen was friendly but the service...... Lady not friendly, couldn't smile, was picking her nose and was bored on the phone when I asked to pay, when paying she had a lot of trouble giving back my desired change. Would I like to tip $8.70 to a grumpy person?

Of course, when the weather was nice, we sat outside. After 45 minutes we got drinks, after 2 hours the main course was there, although the main course was completely missing. After we said so, we were given another starter several times... until we left it after about 3 hours. The female waiter remained quite friendly, although that apparently changed. There was no one else sitting inside except for a man who was packing pizza boxes and there were probably two other male people in the kitchen who we didn't see, only when they brought out the wrong food for us. Overall... you won't see it again. An absolute disaster.

The food was very tasty. Unfortunately, the service didn't go so well. The waiting times were far too long for the few occupied tables. Although they were friendly, the wrong food was brought, which was supposedly for another table, but never left the kitchen after it was returned. When ordering, the waiter was shown the desired dish on the menu. In the end the wrong, more expensive dish (+8 €) was also on the bill...

Actually almost everything is perfect. Service very courteous and nice. Noodles also very tasty. But the pizza. I've never eaten a pizza with such a soft base. If the ground hadn't been so extremely soft, it would have been really tasty. Maybe it will be better next time you visit. Then the fifth star is added ;-)

Unfortunately it turned out strikingly bad. Starter was delivered from the table next door, orders are not brought as ordered. The waiting time is enormous, the “menu” is only delivered upon request. Sultry staff included. Pizza Calzone was rather watery, and in general the food seemed hecticly mixed together. Ordered starter for four, then only served two. Other appetizers ordered only came when asked, quality was inadequate. 1.5 liters of the cheapest Lambrusco for €40 is also borderline. Card payment is no longer possible, we know about it. It's a real shame because it's been really good so far. Never again.

Bedienung hat ewig gebraucht und immer wieder auf sich warten lassen. Nicht nur essen hat ewig gebraucht, auch die Getränke. Viel Zeit mitbringen. Klaviermusk mit Kinderlieder war auch noch einschläfernd. Pizza war okay. Auflauf war nicht gut.

Sorry, but the food really wasn't good. The Tonno pizza had a soggy, soft base, my colleague's pasta wasn't much better. When we asked whether the tiramisu was made with mascarpone or cream, we were assured that it was made with mascarpone. We ordered. In fact, we got a miserable tiramisu, made of pure cream of course with ladyfingers soaked in espresso. Really embarrassing for a supposedly real Italian. So apart from the ambience, nothing convinced us. A pity.

Sehr schmackhaftes Essen zu außergewöhnliche fairen Preisen. Klasse Service. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Naja es war ok, aber auch nur ok. Unsere Pizza kam teilweise etwas verbrannt an. Geschmacklich ging es, auf der einen Pizza war wenig Belag. Der Kellner hat uns lange warten lassen, wo wir zahlen wollten, ob wohl es von unserer seite mehr Fach signalisiert wurde. Er war eher mit quatschen beschäftigt als nach seinen Gästen zu schauen. Freundlich war er aber. Preis naja ging so, da hat ich schon für das Geld mehr bzw bessere Pizza gegessen.

Sehr nettes Personal das uns sogar beim Umug an einen anderen Tisch behilflich war, da es wie aus Eimern regnete und auf der Terrasse reinregnete. Das Essen war sehr gut und heiss. Die Wartezeit auf das Essen war angemessen und wurde mit einer Vorspeise überbrückt. Preis/ Leistung stimmen absolut überein. Ich würde die Pizzeria immer gerne weiterempfehlen .

Perfektní mila obsluha, výborná jídla. Ač jsme neměli rezervaci a lilo, tak nám nabídli sedět venku pod slunecnikem/deštníkem v našem případě a za to moc děkujeme.

Eine nette kleine Pizzeria, ansprechend, sauber, freundliches Personal! Allerdings sind mir die Pizzen etwas zu trocken und sparsam belegt, die Pasta schmeckte gut.

Wir hatten Plätze reserviert und das war auch sehr gut so. Restaurant war auch innerhalb der Woche hoch frequentiert. Service schnell und freundlich, gut beraten worden. Die Pizza war sehr groß und lecker. Die Lasagne auch gut. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Schönes Ambietene und Aussenterasse aber mit Italien hat das Essen selber irgendwie weniger zu tun. Aufmerksamkeit der Bedieung und Lieferzeiten sind auch um 20:15 unterirdisch (zu) lange! Die gemische Vorspeisenplatte für 2 (15,9€) ist ein Teller voll gestopft mit Bruschetta, Caprese, Salami und Schinken plus dicke Portionen Gorgonzola und Pecorino. Teils auch die Wurst übergossen mit Balsamico (geht's noch?) - Brot gibt's keines! Auf Anfrage "wollen Sie Pizzabrot dazu" - wird mit 3,9€ berechnet - bei dem stolzen Preis geht das nicht: fast 20€ zusammen finde ich bei weitem zu viel! Risotto Franko war eine undefiniebare nach Rauch schmeckende hellrote Masse unter einem Berg Rucala Salat und prosciutto crudo .Reis total verkocht und pampig. Sowas kenne ich nur von Kroatien oder Südamerika? Die Tagliatelle monte e mare waren nicht viel besser (gleiche Grundsosse etwa?), vom Mare nicht viel zu sehen oder zu schmecken. auch hier: schwach! Auf der Rechnung dann "zufällig" neben dem unerwarteten Pizzabrot noch 2 Grappa drauf - reklamiert. Trinkgeld hatte ich bar gegeben (4€ bei 2 Gästen eigentlich zuviel für diese lustlosen Mädels) Kreditkartenzahlung akzeptiert.

Sind zum essen nach Zittau gefahren. Die meisten Restaurants hatten geschlossen. Wir sind dann spontan in Franko Pizzaria gegangen, mit 4 Personen. Sehr nettes Team, und ein freundlicher Betreiber. Essen kam sehr schnell, und super lecker 😋. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen, gerne wieder.

Klare Empfehlung, sehr leckere Pizza.

Das Essen war beim Vorbesitzer deutlich besser. Bedienung wirkte sehr nervös und wirkte leicht überfordert.

Waren spontan dort essen. Sind herzlich empfangen worden, die Bedienung war die Höflichkeit in Person. Essen ging super schnell und sah klasse aus. Das Auge isst ja wie bekannt mit. So wie es aussah schmeckte es auch. Konnten auch ein paar Worte mit dem Wirt sprechen und mehr über die Unternehmensgeschichte erfahren. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend. Dieses Lokal kann man mit besten Wissen und Gewissen weiterempfehlen. Werden bestimmt wieder kommen wenn wir in der Gegend sind.

Ein Geheimtipp in Zittau ist das Restaurant Franko. Egal ob schönes oder nicht so gutes Wetter, das Ambiente ist sehr einladend. Ich habe eine Pizza Parma gegessen, in einer hervorragenden Qualität, wie ich es selbst aus gehobener Küche eher selten kenne! Jederzeit kehre ich bei einem Abstecher in der Stadt, hier wieder ein… Weiter so 👍🏻

Super Leckeres Essen und tolle Atmosphäre! Die junge Kellnerin ist sehr freundlich und bemüht.

Die Vorspeisen waren sehr lecker, vor allem die Zwiebelsuppe und das Bruschetta. Die Pizzen waren leider eine Enttäuschung, kaum Belag, selbst für eine italienische Pizza, Boden schon sehr fest und die Ränder zu weich, außerdem kaum bis nicht gewürzt. Service nett, aber spürbar überfordert, viel gerenne und Hast. Preise sind durchschnittlich, Ambiente ist schön, sowohl drinnen als auch draußen.

Wir fühlten uns eher als Störenfriede denn als willkommene Gäste. Das Essen war ausreichend aber kein kulinarischer Höhepunkt.

Die besten Spaghetti Carbonara die ich in Deutschland bisher gegessen habe. Auch das Caprese vorher, war perfekt! Großes Lob!

Wir waren zu dritt, Eltern mit 11-jährigem Kind, im August bei Franko. Pizza Parma, Pizza Margeritha und ein Meeresfrüchtesalat, Vorspeise Bruscetta. Die Pizzen waren sehr gut, Teig gut und dünn, Belag auch gut. Der Meeresfrüchtesalat hatte ausreichend Früchte, etwas mehr dressing und Olivenöl wär gut gewesen. Das bruscetta war eine getoastete Scheibe mit einem Berg von Tomatenbelag, der sehr gut gewürzt war. Den Belag auf 2 Scheiben verteilt hätte es appetitlicher gemacht. Alles in allem ein gemütliches Lokal mit netter Bedienung und einem guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Gerne wieder!
