Cozy restaurant, polite and fast service, very tasty food

There were seven of us (4 adults, 3 small children) at the pizzeria, and we received a very warm welcome. The service was very friendly and personal from all the staff. The food was freshly prepared and served quickly, even though it was very busy. We highly recommend this restaurant!

We were just at this wonderful pizzeria. From the wonderful, very friendly, and attentive service to the food, everything was fantastic. We started with delicious pizza rolls and a super-tasty fish soup with lots of fish, followed by an octopus that was very generous and incredibly tasty, and a pizza tonno, with lots of garlic and anchovies on request, which was incredibly good. Finally, a delicious melon liqueur. Thank you so much for that, for the warmth, and also for the excellent Lambrusco. Keep up the good work. It was our first time here and we'll definitely be back 👍

Very good Italian cuisine. I always recommend going there. I had the beef fillet with Gorgonzola sauce. The meat was so tender it practically melted in your mouth.

I was at the Airport Restaurant in Villingen again today and I'm absolutely thrilled! The pizza is incredibly delicious, fresh, crispy, and prepared with lots of love. The service is super friendly, and you feel welcome from the very first moment. I was especially pleased to learn that the old owners have taken over the restaurant again! ❤️ You can immediately tell that their heart and passion are back here. I'm really happy they're back; the Airport Restaurant is finally back to how it used to be: cozy, welcoming, and simply really good!

It's a bit embarrassing that the waiter doesn't know his menu, and the carbonara was reasonably good but everyone knows that you don't make carbonara with raw ham but with conchalé.

Overpriced for what you get, the food presentation is a bit lackluster. Tomato slices are all different sizes, buffalo mozzarella is good, but for €15, I expect a bit more. The service didn't make the best impression, and the wine wasn't poured into glasses, which is to be expected when you come to dinner with four people. The pizza was a disappointment: a truffle pizza for €17, taste-wise, 1/10, as there was too much dough with no topping, too little cheese, and the base was too hard. I returned the pizza, and they kindly asked if they would cook something else for me, but after two courses, I lost my appetite. Anyone who has ever been to a real Italian restaurant and eaten their home-style cooking won't go back here a second time. It's a shame, I hope you change your concept, because this was nothing!

Once again, we were able to enjoy our two pizzas in a very pleasant atmosphere. TONNO CIPOLLA Pizza with tuna and onions CAPRICCIOSA Pizza with ham, artichokes, and mushrooms. Both were very delicious and tasted excellent. A reason to return to this pleasant place again and again.

Unfortunately, the restaurant hasn't been as good since the change of ownership. The food is mediocre, but the service is very poor. We asked for a glass of milk for our child and were given a porcelain milk jug that was also broken at the top. How are you supposed to drink from it? The child's food arrived much later than ours. Good service is better than that.

The restaurant is definitely recommended; the food is always delicious and the staff is very friendly. We love coming here. The beer garden is also very nice and has a small playground where the kids can keep themselves entertained.

Since it was my wife and I's wedding anniversary and this place used to be our favorite restaurant, we decided to go there for dinner. What we remember of how it used to be is unfortunately no longer there. When we arrived without a reservation, we were given a table straight away. After that, unfortunately, I can't say anything positive. After looking at the menu, we mentioned that we wanted to order, and there was a discussion in Italian about who would take our order. That person was obviously annoyed. The meal took a long time and the pasta was almost cold, the side salad is a joke. The prices haven't gone up significantly, but the amount you get has been reduced. We used to always get an aperitif after dinner, which hasn't been part of the service for years, except for regular customers or people we clearly favor. Since we've had mostly negative experiences in recent years and no longer feel comfortable there because they treat their guests like second-class citizens, we're looking for a new regular restaurant where everyone is welcome.

Yesterday, the two of us went out to eat together, hoping for a pleasant evening in the outdoor dining area. Things turned out differently. We sat for a long time until the manager came to take our drinks and food. She thought it was more important to stand on rum and smoke. I ordered tomatoes with burrata. It's unbelievable that in August I got tomatoes with ZERO flavor. Moreover, the plate was so unpleasantly presented... any housewife would have done better. My husband then waited another 15 minutes for the salad. It consisted of many stalks and the same tasteless tomatoes. It was a complete disaster, and we won't be seeing this restaurant again. The manager apologized, but much too late, and she outsourced everything to the waitress, who couldn't help it. We didn't have to pay anything, but we did pay for the water and the pizza bread.

Our visit to Ristorante Flughafen had its ups and downs – unfortunately, the negative experiences outweighed the positives this time... We dined at Ristorante Flughafen with nine people on Sunday evening. Since the popular pizza bread was unfortunately unavailable on our last visit, we specifically inquired in advance whether it would be available this time. Unfortunately, the staff didn't provide any clear information, and ultimately, only farmhouse bread was served again, which was very disappointing. The greeting was rather reserved, and there was no warm welcome, even though we had clearly expressed our anticipation. Guests were barely escorted to their tables, and it took a long time before we could place our orders. During the meal, we had to ask for drinks and side dishes several times. The salads arrived late, and the drinks were served after the side salad. We also noticed that one salad contained long pieces of stem that were no longer visually and tastelessly appealing (photo provided). The food took almost two hours to arrive. The pasta was no longer hot, and we even found fluff in one dish, which was very unpleasant. Unfortunately, there was no apology from the service staff. One positive aspect is the dedication of one employee who quickly and kindly brought a plate for our young son. When we asked for the bill, we had to make ourselves known again. In response to our criticism, we were given a discount of €12 off the approximately €200 bill, which seemed a bit low to us. We hope this feedback helps Ristorante Flughafen improve its service and organization, as the potential is certainly there.

We ate there last Sunday for the first time since the new staff and management changed. You can feel and taste the difference immediately. Really good, large, and filling pizzas. Everyone had a pizza, and my cousin's wife had a fish platter. Every pizza was as it should be, and the fish platter was a dream. Thanks to the entire team. ❤️ By the way, I can't understand the negative reviews from other guests. It may be that things are different sometimes. But please give people a chance to correct their mistakes and think twice before leaving a completely negative review. Have you pointed out the mistakes to the host? If not, you should! In all of VS and the surrounding area (DS), it's not easy to find something good and also meet the high expectations of some guests. Help the host fulfill your wishes. We were there today with five people. No one came for 30 minutes. No one was present. We waited a long time for drinks and food. Unfriendly service. Some people were ignored. We were charged for the wrong table, and debit card payments weren't accepted. Uncomfortable outdoor furniture. No service in the dining room.
