We had two very good meals here! The first time, we called ahead to let them know we were coming with two dogs – it wasn't a problem. We got a separate table right by the bar, perfect! 🍕 The welcome was extremely warm, and the service was attentive and friendly. You really feel welcome here – even with dogs! The food was excellent both times: fresh, delicious, and plentiful. We walked here about 25 minutes from our hotel – and it was absolutely worth it. A clear recommendation for anyone looking for good food in a cozy, hospitable atmosphere in Clausthal-Zellerfeld. 🇩🇪

Super delicious pizzas and a super tasty beef fillet, compliments to the chef! We were absolutely thrilled. The service is also absolutely outstanding: very friendly, extremely attentive, and every single request was catered to. You rarely experience such flexibility. We had a wonderful evening in a very cozy atmosphere and would gladly return.

There were two of us eating together. The food was delicious. There was relaxing music and delicious food.

This Italian restaurant is highly recommended! It serves not only classics like pizza and pasta, but also meat and fish dishes and authentic Italian specialties. We spent three days in Clausthal and ate there every evening.

De Mario in Clausthal-Zellerfeld is simply unbeatable! ​We were there on Saturday and both had the calzone, number 39 on the menu. What we particularly loved was the extra tomato sauce that came with it – we've never had anything as delicious as this! ​We're from East Frisia and have tried many calzones, but Mario's is by far the best. The dough is perfect and the filling incredibly delicious. ​The staff is, as always, super friendly and attentive. An all-around successful evening. We can highly recommend the restaurant!

Tonight (Sept. 3rd) I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious pizzas! The pizza was bigger than my rather large appetite. 😊 Very friendly staff! And a free glass of Marsala to finish! Highly recommended!

Super delicious food 🥘, friendly staff, and a very pleasant atmosphere. Various pasta varieties and sauces, my favorite being pesto, which goes well with any type of meat.

They promised to deliver to the campsite in the afternoon, but after calling again that evening, the order was canceled; the boss wouldn't allow them to deliver. Then I ordered from Pizza in Clausthal, and thankfully, it arrived safely. At least there was some real service there.

Why this restaurant only has 4.6 stars is a mystery to me. I come here regularly every month, and I'm always impressed. Whether it's pasta or pizza, both are top picks in my region. Most of the pizzas I eat are okay; it takes a lot for me to enjoy a pizza. DaMario in Clausthal, however, is a different world; they make the best pizzas I know. If you're looking for a pizzeria in Clausthal, you've definitely come to the right place!

Good and cozy place, good sized portions of food. Sweet service. The food no matter what we ordered tasted good. We often go on a motorcycle trip in the Harz and we stop by the place and get a good dinner. Once you've found a good place you stick with it. Can highly recommend the place.

Unfortunately the food came a little late, but it was worth the wait. Great starters, pizza was great. Finally no burned ground. The noodles are also highly recommended. All in all, great. Keep it up.

We used the delivery service and ordered food for 8 people. Seven pizzas and one pasta dish. The unanimous opinion was that no one could explain the good reviews on Google. For everyone, it was truly the worst, and most expensive, pizza we've had in ages. A complete disaster! Sorry... but I can't say it any other way.

We ordered two pizzas on Sunday at the beginning of opening hours, which arrived a little later but absolutely on time. The delivery person was friendly and the pizzas were still warm. We really enjoyed both the pizza pictured and the pizza calzone. The occupancy was generous, nothing was burnt and all at very reasonable prices. I can recommend. :)

We ordered a pizza and a multi-fruit salad to be delivered. The delivery came really quickly, but we spent a whole 30 euros (with tip) on it. No problem so far, but: the salad was inedible, far too salty and you had to look for the seafood.

We were there spontaneously a few days ago and managed to get a spot. The food is super tasty, the service is very attentive. So you can absolutely recommend the restaurant, but you should reserve in advance as there are not too many seats available. The only thing that could be improved are the toilets, which are getting old

Das Restaurant war 5 Minuten nach Öffnung praktisch voll. Wir hatten wirklich Glück noch zwei Plätze zu bekommen, obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten. Das Personal war sehr nett, aufmerksam und wir wurden schnell bedient. Das Essen schmeckte sehr gut und wir waren rundherum zufrieden.

Was very disappointed with the food. Pizza was totally oily and soggy. Service was good. The restaurant is very small and one had the impression that our table was occupied twice without telling us beforehand.

Unfortunately we can't judge the food because dogs are not welcome there and as a tourist you certainly can't/don't want to leave your dog alone. That's why there is only one star for the service.

I highly recommend this restaurant! The pasta is always al dente and the sauces are to die for. Panna cotta in particular is an absolute must! This restaurant was really a saving grace during our exam period for me and my friends.

We were looking for a delivery service that could deliver delicious pizzas for 5 families including children. No sooner said than done and called straight away and asked again how long a delivery would take so that the children got their dinner on time. The order was placed at 5:40 p.m. and stated that delivery could be made in 45 minutes. At 6:30 p.m. nothing had arrived and when we asked by phone we were told that the delivery was already on the way and should arrive soon. At 7 p.m. there was still no delivery and when we asked we were told again that it was already on its way (which actually would have meant that we would have received cold pizzas). Called again at 7:15 p.m. and the delivery finally came at 7:20 p.m. The supplier said it was “fresh out of the oven” and the delivery location was just 5 minutes away from the holiday home… The icing on the cake was that a discount was refused even though, in addition to the late delivery, 3 pizzas were incorrectly topped and some were more expensive than ordered (e.g. instead of a Margherita with tuna, a tuna pizza WITH onions was delivered, which totaled 1 € was more expensive than the seriously chosen variant or a children's pizza with salami and corn was not delivered at all but a children's pizza with pineapple and ham, which was not ordered anywhere near this variant). On the phone the boss said we could offer a replacement delivery but the 3 incorrectly topped pizzas would have to be returned. How are we supposed to tell this to 10 hungry children who were finally happy to have anything to eat after an hour of late delivery, only to then have to wait another long time?! Once and never again!!!
