Pizzeria Da Erol in Kehl

My husband and I had dinner there today. And we didn't understand the bad reviews. The service was sweet and the food (spaghetti with anchovies, capers, olives and tomato sauce) was delicious! We'd love to come back🥰 Greetings Michi and Tris

So that was my first and last time at the pizzeria. Not only did the waitress not understand me, she only spoke French. I didn't. She brought the completely wrong salad, and since communication was very difficult, I just took it. There were two short black hairs in the salad 🥹 I'm blonde with long hair, and so is my friend. I complained, and they offered me something else. Hair in my food definitely put me off my appetite. My awakening came with the bill. I had to pay in full for this salad I hadn't touched. The waitress pointed to the chef and shrugged. Never again

The music was so-so... the meal was very good, I had a bruschetta and penne alverdure (too many peas though), otherwise very, very good. The service was slow though.

Pizzeria in Kehl next to the church. Beautiful little shaded outdoor terrace. Very well-stocked menu, there's everything, pizzas, pasta, meats. Very friendly waitress who takes great care of the customers. 50cl beer at €4.20, not expensive compared to France. Pizza Da Erol well-garnished but it's not an Italian pizza. The dough is good but doesn't look like it's handmade. It's nevertheless good. Dessert: 3 scoops of ice cream, classic but still just as good. Nothing to complain about except the pizza was just missing the artisanal side.

At first, people made an effort. The more often you came, the more you became accepted. The fact that you're a paying guest is often forgotten here. Salad with strips of turkey breast could be delicious if the turkey breast weren't overcooked. Pizza is OK, pasta is al dente. The balsamic vinegar on almost every dish seems to have been overlooked by the chef, who finds it very outdated and out of date. The waitresses are very nice and friendly. The chef considers himself a Michelin-starred chef. And please, no complaints, because the paying guest is wrong.
