Julia's… Restaurant & Café Bar in Kehl

Four of us were here today. The table was set but covered in leftovers. The floor under some of the tables was also covered in leftovers. The food was definitely not like you'd expect from an Italian restaurant. The pizza base was soggy, and my gnocchi sauce tasted like gravy. There won't be a next time. Too bad.

I ordered, and the lasagna had too much cheese, and the apple strudel tasted like it had just been thawed and came without vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Such a shame.

A true highlight in the region! Julia's… is, for us, clearly the best Italian restaurant in the area. The food was incredibly delicious – authentic, fresh, and prepared with love. The menu is varied and well-thought-out. We would especially like to highlight the stylish and beautifully designed interior. You immediately feel the attention paid to detail and atmosphere – modern, elegant, and at the same time incredibly inviting. After our first visit, we were so impressed that we decided to celebrate our child's birthday there – and it was a complete success! Our guests were just as thrilled as we were – with the food, the service, and the special atmosphere of the restaurant. A big thank you to the entire team at Julia's… – we'll definitely be back!

After a moment at the spa, you can dine at this Italian restaurant. There's a wide selection of dishes. We only tried the pizzas, which are generous and tasty. Otherwise, the service and atmosphere are decent... nothing more. The prices are normal for this type of restaurant, which feels more like a chain than a traditional restaurant.

Very nice. The pizza chef greeted us warmly at the entrance. It looks really cool inside, and the garden outside is cozy and inviting. The food was great. I had a Carpacio di Manza, I hope I spelled that right, and a Pizza Rustica. Both were very tasty. I was surprised when the pizza arrived because it was square, but it was delicious right up until the end, and the crust was crispy. I certainly won't be going there for the last time.

Rating for Julia’s Restaurant, Bar & Café – Kehl I had the great pleasure of dining at Julia’s in Kehl – ​​and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. I would particularly like to express my deep admiration for Marco. Simply calling him “waiter” doesn’t do him justice. He is by far the best service person I have ever experienced. Marco moves with such grace and ease that his every action - be it pouring a beer, mixing a cocktail or carrying multiple dishes in his expertly guided arms - seems like a perfectly choreographed performance. His professionalism, eye for detail and intuitive service took my evening to a whole new level. And not to forget: the food was outstanding – every dish was beautifully prepared and tasted delicious. Julia’s is more than just a place to eat – it’s an experience. And Marco made it unforgettable.

The servers were nice and friendly, they speak English and one of them speaks both English and Spanish. Our young kids were with us, I would have given them 5 stars for service had they offered/provided coloring materials or books to our kids (They did give coloring materials to the kid at the next table). The place has an elegant atmosphere. As for the food, it was ordinary, there was no wow factor. I have eaten at other Italian restaurants that serve better-tasting pasta dishes.

So the food is very good, the cooking is quick, on the other hand the waitresses... how can I say this is now the fourth time I have eaten there in 1 year and each time the meal comes before the drink and if you don't ask several times you don't receive your drink before the main course. In my opinion, if the waitresses would be a little less on their cell phones and manage the service better, it would be a restaurant that would make you want to come more. Because the fact that the service is bad makes relaxation impossible.

This place has lost a lot in customer service, it was my favorite restaurant in Kehl but now the waiters are borderline rude, serve poorly, when we make a request they let it be seen that we are annoying them and yet it was not an extraordinary request, finally they made mistakes on the bill and scolded us for not having checked before paying because it would be our duty, no word of apology...I went back twice and the experience was not better, I wouldn't no more, too bad the interior is pretty!

Food lukewarm, piccata milanese prepared in a hairdresser and therefore not edible. Overwhelmed service that then even wants to bill twice...

Unacceptable. We arrived from a trip at 9.30 in the evening. As the restaurant closes at 12 they refused to let us eat, because said that the cousins closed at 9 o'clock.

I ate piccata Milanese with my sister today, the meat was tender and fresh, the breading was bland and the tomato sauce had no taste! Worth improving. Unfortunately I won't recommend you. I told the service after she asked and my plate wasn't empty but there was at least half of the spaghetti still in it! you should stick to the truth!

I went back for the first time in 3 years. I was quite disappointed... the decor hasn't changed, it's still the same and nice but then the kitchen,... The menu looks the same but is missing some pretty nice offerings from before (buffala tomato pizza for example). The pizzas were bland, the dough rubbery, the products industrial. The spicy oil served in a greasy container not cleaned for months. We don't talk about the service. I arrived 5-10 mins before the end of the service, they seated me and stayed next to me to make sure I would order in 5 mins 🙀 otherwise they were helpful. Finally the prices lol When the restaurant opened a few years ago it had decent prices, now it has also doubled mhm changed 😂. Pizza from 14-15€. The value for money is now quite low. Otherwise the tiramisu was good!

Delicious food overall and cool concept restaurant. That evening the service was very thin, so there were always waiting times for repeat orders. The house was full and therefore quite loud, but the service was attentive and friendly. My breading was fried too long for me personally, but the meat and the starter plate tasted good.

Our visit was a thoroughly negative experience. First of all, we had to wait over 70 minutes for our order even though the restaurant wasn't even full. When asked, they only said that there is currently a large group sitting in the restaurant, but that doesn't mean that other tables have to be neglected so much. It wasn't just us, the guests next door obviously shared the same experiences. When the food finally arrived, I was shocked: the order was completely wrong! Instead of the dish we ordered, we received something that was thrown together in an inexplicable way. The service was overwhelmed and didn't seem really interested in solving the problem. The staff responded to our complaint with disinterest and offered no apology. It was just very frustrating and I felt like our time and money wasn't valued here. Overall it was a very disappointing experience and I definitely won't be returning. There are many better options in the city that offer both good food and decent service.

We had dinner there. When we paid, the last meal arrived. With 15 people who have pre-ordered, they can't manage to ensure that everyone gets something to eat. I had carbonara and then vomited and had a stomach ache for 8 days. I wasn't the only one in the group who felt so bad! When I asked the boss, they said they would get in touch. Six months later and no response. Sauladen!!!!

Unfriendly staff, poor service and the next table with an older couple who came 30 minutes after us got the menu before us. Even after asking several times, I only received bland answers. We ate at Julia's with a group of six people. The reserved and fully set table was already full of crumbs when we arrived. An absolute no-go. We had to wait a good half hour for our drinks, mind you in an almost empty restaurant. The taste of the food itself was on the level of an average kebab shop. The pizzas were primarily just greasy, so much so that the paper underneath (to protect the wooden boards) was soggy and stuck to the pizza base. The price-performance ratio is absolutely out of the question; for the money you can get much better pizza here in the region. After everyone had finished eating, the table was only partially cleared. Some of the dirty dishes simply remained there for no apparent reason. It took another 30 minutes after the main course before we were finally asked whether we would like another dessert. Attentive service looks different, especially since the restaurant was still not really full at that time. In my opinion, Julia's is an experience that can be saved. We spent a relatively large amount of money considering the performance and were extremely annoyed by the performance delivered. Once and never again.

What kind of restaurant is this please? First you wait 15 minutes until you get a menu then other guests get the food before us. We waited 1 hour for pasta and noodles that were empty in 5 minutes because the portion is so small, it's a joke, the nice thing is that you get one for two people. Actually, I wouldn't even give it one star, but unfortunately there's no other way. When we pay, the waitress gives us leftover food from the neighboring table Not recommendable !

The service was super friendly. The homemade iced tea is great and tastes homemade. The ravioli are delicious as is the pasta (haven't tried the rest yet, but looked delicious). A huge plus point is the open kitchen.

We had our daughter's wedding in the orangery on Saturday. Respect, everything was clean, well laid out, fine food, everything on time. The service was very warm and attentive, and all respect, it had been a long time since we had been served and pampered in such a friendly and warm manner from the reception to the end.

The quality of the food and the price-performance ratio have decreased. Probably also because the prices have risen significantly and the Italian authenticity has unfortunately not grown with it.

We went for a birthday dinner today 02/28/24. We were served by a very nice young lady and the food was top. The other older waiter was very rude to me and the way he talked to me was very unprofessional.

Everything still tastes very good to us, plus the always good service from the staff, with their friendliness and attentiveness. However, the new pricing really shocked us. We find it completely unreasonable to charge an average of €15 for all pizzas. The same applies to the pasta. I often travel all over Germany for work and am not familiar with such prices in 4-star hotels or on the "Kö" in Düsseldorf, but not in comparable restaurants. The consequence of this for us is that we will only rarely visit you in the future, and we will certainly not invite guests; this is far too expensive for us. The VAT increase does not justify this. Dinner on a Friday evening. We had 2 aperol spritzes, a water 2 pasta dishes and 1 dessert for 60 euros. The food is good, the dishes could be a little more generous or you have to take 1 starter. Good Italian musical atmosphere. I heard Italian spoken in the kitchen, so real Italian cuisine. The kitchen is open so we see the chef in action. Overall a good place, the pizzas are very appetizing and the tiramisu is delicious.

Zahlreiche frische Blumen und ein offenes Raumkonzept helfen jedem Gast, sich schnell sehr bedeutsam und gleichzeitig zuhause zu fühlen! Die frische Antipasti, unzählige Salatvariationen und sehr lecker zubereitete Hauptgänge sorgen für einen wahren Gaumenschmaus. Das Highlight für jeden Pizzaliebhaber sind die riesigen Pizzen, die teilweise den gesamten Tisch einnehmen. Die Qualität ist stets gleichbleibend sensationell und man schmeckt das italienische Temprament, die Liebe zu guten Zutaten und die Nähe zum Gast in nahezu jedem Gericht. Das große Restaurant verfügt zudem über eine sehr große Außenterrasse und eine angrenzende Eventhalle. Beides eignet sich gleichermaßen für große Familienfeiern und Feste. Tolle 4,5**** für ein absolut überzeugendes Konzept mit leckeren italienischen Gerichten, einer gleichbleibend hihen Qualität und einem sehr überzeugenden Ambiente.

25 Minuten Wartezeit bei Abholung für Essen das auf eine Uhrzeit bestellt ist geht gar nicht. Das Essen selbst war gut, ausser den Spaghetti bei denen das Salz völlig vergessen wurde .

Super leckere Pizza, nur leider wiederholt die Erfahrung von sehr schnippischem Service Mitarbeiter gemacht. Beispielsweise heute: beim Bestellen eines Weins zum Aperitif wurde die Anfrage nach Oliven verneint, mit der Anmerkung, man bekäme diese nur im „5-Sterne“ Lokal Chatanooga. Wohlgemerkt standen wir dabei vor der Vitrine mit allerlei Antipasti inklusive Oliven. Wenn man Wert darauf legt, dass Gäste wiederkommen, sollte man als Kellner weniger arrogant auftreten! Schade, denn sowohl der Pizzabäcker, als auch die Location ist klasse 👍🏼

Waren eine größere Gruppe. Uns wurden öfter falsche Getränke gebracht und in einem unfreundlichen Ton nachgefragt was man den bestellt hätte.

Wir hatten versucht einen Tisch für 2 Personen im Außenbereich für den selben Abend zu reservieren. Am Telefon hieß es, es wäre nichts mehr frei, da mehrere Gruppen für den Abend angemeldet sind. Als wir dort waren stellte sich heraus, dass im Außenbereich eben doch Tische frei waren, jedoch das Personal auf absoluter Volllast fuhr. Mehrere große Gruppen, Zulaufgäste und hierfür 3 Kellner. Ein großes Lob an das Personal, deren Leistungsbereitschaft, sowie Durchhaltevermögen. Ich hätte an dem Abend die Kündigung eingereicht, dass der Chef seine Gäste selbst bewirten kann und vielleicht dadurch erkennt, was er seinen fleißigen Mitarbeitern zumutet. Das Essen war ebenso ausgezeichnet, hier ein großes Lob an die Küche. Alles in allem ein tolles Restaurant, jedoch sollte das Management nochmal eine Schule besuchen oder eventuell die Branche wechseln. Ich kann es absolut nicht leiden wenn Mitarbeiter so dermaßen mit Arbeit zu geschmissen werden, weil ich weiß, dass es hierfür keine andere Begründung als Profit oder schlechtes Wirtschaften gibt.

War zum zweiten Mal mir eine Pizza holen. Die erste Anfang Juli und vor kurzem die Zweite. Mittlerweile haben sich die Preise um ca. 10 bis 15% erhöht und der Service ist um 50% an Freundlichkeit gefallen.
