We ate there today with eight people. It was off-season, and the weather wasn't exactly perfect, but this restaurant saved the day! It was simply perfect. I almost never write reviews, but this restaurant is so perfect in every way that I had to. Sure, it's not directly on the lake, but a row behind it. So maybe a full 30 meters from the lake, but you get a lot for that! Absolutely recommended!

The owner was a total failure. He threatened us with physical violence. There were five of us there, including two children. We had no room, and when we asked how long we would have to wait for a table, he told us we were stupid... I've never experienced anything like that before.

We spontaneously got a nice seat in this lovely restaurant on a Friday evening after a short wait. The staff was extremely friendly and cheerful. The ambiance is fantastic, and the pizza is truly top-notch! Great and unusual combinations, as well as well-known classics. There's something for everyone!

My husband ate one of the best pizzas of his life here, and my spaghetti aljo y olio was a dream. The server was super friendly. This definitely won't be our last visit. Simply perfect!

Best gluten-free pizza I've ever eaten! Light crust, delicious and generous toppings, amazing flavor! If I didn't live so far away, this would be my new favorite pizzeria.

The food itself was great, but the staff was relatively unfriendly. I ate there, paid, and left a €7 tip. We were gone for 10 minutes and then came back because one of us wanted to use the restroom. He was then turned away by the staff in an unfriendly manner, as he was no longer a guest. Of course, it's not a given that people would just let you use the restroom, but I think it would have been very appropriate to let him use it.

I really liked Pizzeria Centrale in Friedrichshafen. The place has a cozy atmosphere, a pleasant interior and a convenient location in the city center. In the summer, it is especially nice to sit on the terrace in the open air and enjoy dinner. The pizza here is really great: thin dough, crispy edges, generous toppings made from fresh ingredients - you can feel the real Italian style. In addition to pizza, there are other delicious dishes, so everyone will find something to their taste. The staff is friendly and attentive, the service is mostly fast, although during peak hours you have to wait a little. The prices are a little higher than average, but the quality fully justifies them. For me, this is a great place to spend an evening with friends or family.

I have read the reviews and I have experienced nice and friendly staff there and our food was plentiful and delicious

Unfriendly staff, terrible service. The food looked good, but we didn't get any. After everyone around us, who arrived later, had received both drinks and food, we asked if we'd been forgotten. The first waiter didn't feel responsible, and the second one left immediately without letting me finish. Apology or regret? Zero. We'd been forgotten. But no one noticed, even though we were sitting right there. We left with two hungry children without food or drink.

We ordered two Margherita pizzas and a Diabolo con Burrata. The Diabolo pizza was okay, the two Margheritas weren't. The cheese was extremely thick (more than 0.5 cm thick in places), and the tomato sauce was nowhere to be found. The olives we ordered with it tasted like water—if anything. Positive aspects of the service: the pizzas were available for pickup after 15 minutes, but the "pizza for money" transaction overwhelmed the service staff. Looking at the already finished pizzas, which I watched as they got soggy and cold, I tried in vain to part with my money. Next time, perhaps we should distribute the tomato sauce and cheese in reverse.

Three-quarters of the tables have 'reserved' signs—it looks like the place is completely booked... You wait 10 minutes to be shown to a table, and another 15 minutes later, nothing has happened. When asked, the cheeky reply was: "Then go somewhere else... I'll just spend my money somewhere else." 😂🫣 Apart from the location, there was nothing positive to mention...

I went to this pizzeria today and was unfortunately very disappointed. The owner and the staff were extremely unfriendly and not very customer-oriented. From the moment I entered, I felt unwelcome. Instead of hospitality, there was an unpleasant atmosphere. It's a shame, because that's exactly what you don't expect from a restaurant visit. Definitely not a place I'll visit again."

Great! We stopped at this restaurant quite late and without a reservation. We were well received. The service was a bit slow, but it was worth the quality of the food served. The prices are really very reasonable and there is a lot of choice. I recommend this place 😇

Good food, good staff, a friendly boss. Unfortunately, the boss has completely missed the mark: inflexible, opinionated, and constantly on edge. He has no place in the restaurant industry, and even less in service/customer relations. Hosting qualities look different. Transferring one's own dissatisfaction to the guest is not in the spirit of the founder and is extremely damaging to the business.

We actually wanted a table for 7 people. We didn't have a reservation, but there were still quite a few seats available! The head waiter then gave us a table that was reserved for about two hours later. When we briefly considered whether we had enough time, he pointed out in a rude, arrogant manner that we didn't have to eat there! We didn't eat there either!!! When we expressed our incomprehension at the treatment, we were dismissed with a dismissive hand gesture!! We can't comment on the food, but the way they treated potential customers was completely unacceptable!!! Absolutely not to be recommended!!!!!

I was just in the restaurant and asked where the customer restroom was and someone immediately came over and told me that the restroom was there and everyone could see it, the sign was small (I wanted to buy something there)

The food was quite good, but unfortunately the staff was very unfriendly. Guests were ignored. We were on vacation, he said, and had endless time to wait.

The head waiter and another waitress were unfortunately extremely rude. We spent over €100 on food, and when one of us finally wanted to use the restroom, the woman yelled at her, asking what she was doing there. The head waiter, who had served us for a good two hours, then jumped on her and started rudely talking to her. When we pointed out that we were his guests, he simply said, "Oh," and left without any apology. The restrooms were also dirty, and the floor was full of water. The food was okay, except for one portion of completely oversalted pasta. There is only one vegan dish, which is simply too few considering the huge menu.

We had made a reservation for 16 people, but the reservation was forgotten. That can happen in principle, but instead of an apology, we were treated quite rudely and hardly noticed. We were then allowed to sit outside, but it started to rain heavily and nobody showed any interest in us. We were neither invited in nor treated kindly when we went in. When we paid, we were yelled at and told that they would never do that again. When we ordered our food, we were very rudely asked to decide more quickly because they had other guests. Some of the food was delicious, but some of it wasn't enough to fill you up. One lasagna arrived burnt, and to cover it up, cheese sauce was sprinkled on top.

A very rude and unpleasant boss. He yells at his staff over a trivial matter in front of a packed restaurant, harasses them in front of the customers, and runs around the room like a madman. When I confronted him as I was leaving the restaurant about how disruptive it was, he threw me out under threat of a beating. That's outrageous. That was his thanks for bringing in €100 in sales. The staff is attentive and friendly. The kitchen is clean and very tasty. The rest of the staff is very friendly.

Highly recommended! By far the best pizza on the planet, and I'm sure everything else is just as delicious. My wife had a gluten-free pizza and loved it. Even pasta is available gluten-free. The entire restaurant, with all its staff, exudes authentic Italian flair. You can watch the manager making pizza while the manager woos the guests. Everything was very welcoming. From the aperitif to the coffee and dessert, we had a culinary journey through Italy. Thank you, Mille - I really enjoyed it.

But in this case, I simply can't remain silent. ⠀ My husband and I had planned a boat party, and about 30 minutes before boarding, we decided to have a coffee and entered this café. At the entrance, we were told to get in line and wait. All the tables were reserved, so we politely asked if it would be possible to sit down for 10 minutes and have a coffee. ⠀ The waitress reacted extremely rudely and told us in a very harsh tone that it was "not worth it" for her to give us a table just for a coffee. She then started yelling at us and kicking us out of the café, telling us to "shut up" and "get lost." ⠀ We were completely shocked. The situation was extremely embarrassing—all the guests were staring at us. We left the café immediately because conversation was impossible under such circumstances. ⠀ I would like to emphasize: I have never experienced such rude behavior anywhere. If someone doesn't enjoy working with people, perhaps they should choose a different profession instead of taking out their frustration on customers. Such behavior is unacceptable, especially when it occurs in public and involves insults.

Owner/Boss very unkind. We were sitting by a table with shades. Those were very unstable and the owner just took them away with no regard to us now sitting completly exposed to the sun. We asked for shade or a different table with him then making a giant fiasco yelling "this is nature" and "get some vitamine D" and other comments following the same sceme. The italian waitor was very kind tho.

the service was horrible we were sitting in a sunny spot and had an umbrella blocking the sun, then one of the staff members (i’m guessing he’s the boss of the restaurant) takes the umbrella away and we ask him to put it back because it’s too sunny. he then says “it’s nature, deal with it” and refused to put back the umbrella. we then moved to a table that was in the shade and the staff didn’t even help move our cutlery and glasses. however the server who took our order was very friendly and the food was quite good.

We just have placed the order, and because of a bit wind, the owner has removed the sun shade. Leaving us sitting in the sun with 35 degrees. As we asked to change to a cooler place, multiple of which are available, he commended that we should keep sitting in the sun, because we need vitamin D! But In this hot weather? While all other places are under shadow? How the food taste already doesn’t matter, if you’re treated in this way, really unbelievable ! If you like it, being treated like you owe him a million, come and try. Have fun.

Do you want flies on your pizza? Then Centrale is the place for you. About 20 flesh flies attacked us and our food. We wanted a different seat, either inside or outside, but were turned down. They also explained that it's summer. Never again. We had to take our food with us and eat it cold.

Pizza war ok, Bedienung auch. Der Chef ist unfreundlich bis unverschämt. Nach dem Gang zum WC wollte ich die Rechnung sofort begleichen. Dem Kellner gegenüber erwähnte ich, dass ich alles von unserem Tisch zahlen würde. Vom Wirt wurde ich belehrt, dass der Kellner genau weiß was konsumiert wurde und mein zutun beleidigend rüberkäme. Die Situation war etwas befremdlich, deckt sich aber mit den negativen Kommentaren zu diesem Restaurant.

I happened upon it by chance. I ate there spontaneously. The grilled calamari was amazing. My daughter's pizza was amazing too. The service was top-notch. That's how it should be everywhere.

Good food, but i can only give it 2 stars for the unfriendly and dissapointing service and how we felt treated there overall. We first wanted to sit outside, but the tables in front of the restaurant were completely full, so we went on the other side where tables were empty. They told us in a very unfriendly manner that we shouldn't sit there as they don't serve those tables. We went inside, waited long for them to take our order. Allthough they said somebody was coming, the lady in charge for our table was sitting outside at a table chatting with friends, completely ignoring us for about 30 minutes. First and last time.

We arrived without a reservation, and he reluctantly gave us a table that was probably still available. When we ordered, we asked for a good wine. He didn't offer any advice, but said he already knew what we wanted. While he was taking our order, he suddenly ran away. When we asked if we wanted to finish our order, he said: "Not in that tone of voice, and we're welcome to leave." Never again.

Never, never again. Such unfriendly staff. The manager himself, too. When I asked for a wine, I got an unfriendly, rude reply. Never again. That's completely unacceptable. If you say something to a customer, don't use that tone after asking if they can continue ordering.

Very unfriendly staff. We ordered a pizza for ourselves and had to pay an additional €2.50 for a second plate. The food was unbearable because of the flies! There were flies everywhere, so it was impossible to eat. I can only imagine how unhygienic the kitchen looks. When I showed them the photos of flies on the pizza, the server said he had no control over the flies... Of course, we couldn't eat the pizza, but we still had to pay. Unbelievable! Outrageous!

Bad service, his grandfather. It's a mystery to me how responsibilities are assigned to the tables. Everyone next to us in the outside area was served. But after 20 to 30 minutes, we still hadn't been asked about our drinks or anything else. So, after I politely asked one of the waiters working directly next to us if we could order, I was told that our table had been assigned to someone else. It was the only table on this side of the restaurant. In any case, we were assured that the person in charge would arrive in 2-3 minutes. They didn't, so after another 10 minutes, I approached a member of staff. It must have been the person in charge of our table. He was quite passive-aggressive, didn't apologize, and instead started to justify himself. I then said something like, "Everything's fine. I'm just surprised that this table isn't assigned to the other tables right next to it." (It simply doesn't make sense that he's serving a single table on the other side of the restaurant. He doesn't have a clear view of that one...) I wanted to place my order right away, but the server snapped at me, saying that if we didn't like it, we could just leave and "forget it." I have no idea what kind of way that is to treat other people, or more precisely, his guests... but I told him we'd just leave. This has never happened to me before, and I've experienced friendlier chip shops than this one. I actually would have liked to have dinner there, because my girlfriend said the food was really good. So, I can't give a review. So if you don't care about service and have enough time, feel free to try it anyway. I also gathered from some of the reviews here that the older gentleman with the beard who served us was actually the owner/manager. If that's the case, I have even more questions. I definitely feel sorry for the employees, because they're obviously understaffed. They all looked like they were about to collapse from exhaustion, but at least they were friendly, except for the older gentleman.

Unfortunately, we weren't even allowed to order, and the head waiter was very rude. Not because the place was full (half the tables were occupied when we arrived). We waited politely for half an hour and then asked if anyone was coming. By that point, we found menus ourselves and were told twice that someone was coming. We hadn't even been able to order drinks yet. When I asked the head waiter if we could order, I was ignored. When I stood up to ask him, he casually said "yes" and disappeared. When he finally came, he felt he had to tell my girlfriend that she doesn't know what it's like to work 12-hour shifts. I calmly asked if he couldn't just tell us it was too busy, since we hadn't ordered anything for 45 minutes. He then snatched the menus from us and said we didn't have to eat there. Unfortunately, I'm not even exaggerating. I've never encountered such behavior before.

During our Lake Constance vacation in Friedrichshafen, my boyfriend absolutely wanted to go to this pizzeria – he'd been there two years ago and absolutely loved it. And what can I say? Now I absolutely want to go back! I wasn't hungry for pizza, so I opted for pasta – it was really delicious and perfectly prepared. Still, I regretted not having pizza a bit, because they looked simply fantastic. Even at the next table, guests said it was the best pizza they'd ever eaten – I definitely want to try it myself next time. The ambiance inside didn't appeal to me personally – the menu with pictures and the style are more reminiscent of a fast-food restaurant. It was also quite crowded and noisy. But: The food was so good that it doesn't warrant a point deduction for me. When the weather's nice, you can also sit outside, which is very pleasant. Conclusion: A clear recommendation for anyone who loves good Italian cuisine – pizza fans in particular should definitely stop by!

The food was okay, but the service was a real disappointment. We witnessed a member of the service team behaving very rudely towards guests on two occasions. First situation: A couple had sat down at a free table on their own. The waiter then spoke to them harshly. To be fair, there were no signs outside saying "Please wait, you will be seated," and there weren't any staff present at all times to point out the seating arrangement. The waiter began the conversation with the rude question, "Do you speak German?", making it very clear that the couple couldn't just sit down. The two obviously felt unwelcome and left the restaurant. Second situation: At the next table, three elderly guests were being served by the same waiter when he brought them dessert. Apparently, one of the elderly women had spoken to the waiter about the previous situation. He then became visibly angry – he took the dessert away from the guests and even snatched the spoon from one of the ladies. These guests also left the restaurant. Conclusion: The behavior of the service staff was absolutely unacceptable to us as observers. We expect a restaurant to treat guests with respect – regardless of whether they accidentally seated themselves or wanted to ask questions.
