Pizzeria Centrale in Friedrichshafen

Selten so gute Pizza gegessen! Die Bedienung sehr nett und freundlich, Bestellung der Getränke und Essen ging sehr schnell, Essen und Getränke waren sehr schnell am Tisch! Schade dass ich hier zum Urlaub bin, sonst würde ich öfter zum Essen kommen.

Pizza war ok, Bedienung auch. Der Chef ist unfreundlich bis unverschämt. Nach dem Gang zum WC wollte ich die Rechnung sofort begleichen. Dem Kellner gegenüber erwähnte ich, dass ich alles von unserem Tisch zahlen würde. Vom Wirt wurde ich belehrt, dass der Kellner genau weiß was konsumiert wurde und mein zutun beleidigend rüberkäme. Die Situation war etwas befremdlich, deckt sich aber mit den negativen Kommentaren zu diesem Restaurant.

The pizzas are very tasty, and the pasta and burgers are also delicious! The portions are large and generous. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the restaurant is nicely decorated. It's great that they offer gluten-free pizzas and pasta! These are also very tasty, and the pizzas aren't significantly smaller than regular ones, as is often the case. Just €5 extra for gluten-free is a bit much.

Located right on the harbor, highly recommended! Excellent pizzas! Very attentive service! We were only there on vacation; if we lived here, this would definitely be our Italian restaurant of choice!

During our Lake Constance vacation in Friedrichshafen, my boyfriend absolutely wanted to go to this pizzeria – he'd been there two years ago and absolutely loved it. And what can I say? Now I absolutely want to go back! I wasn't hungry for pizza, so I opted for pasta – it was really delicious and perfectly prepared. Still, I regretted not having pizza a bit, because they looked simply fantastic. Even at the next table, guests said it was the best pizza they'd ever eaten – I definitely want to try it myself next time. The ambiance inside didn't appeal to me personally – the menu with pictures and the style are more reminiscent of a fast-food restaurant. It was also quite crowded and noisy. But: The food was so good that it doesn't warrant a point deduction for me. When the weather's nice, you can also sit outside, which is very pleasant. Conclusion: A clear recommendation for anyone who loves good Italian cuisine – pizza fans in particular should definitely stop by!

No. The staff is very unfriendly.

The food was okay, but the service was a real disappointment. We witnessed a member of the service team behaving very rudely towards guests on two occasions. First situation: A couple had sat down at a free table on their own. The waiter then spoke to them harshly. To be fair, there were no signs outside saying "Please wait, you will be seated," and there weren't any staff present at all times to point out the seating arrangement. The waiter began the conversation with the rude question, "Do you speak German?", making it very clear that the couple couldn't just sit down. The two obviously felt unwelcome and left the restaurant. Second situation: At the next table, three elderly guests were being served by the same waiter when he brought them dessert. Apparently, one of the elderly women had spoken to the waiter about the previous situation. He then became visibly angry – he took the dessert away from the guests and even snatched the spoon from one of the ladies. These guests also left the restaurant. Conclusion: The behavior of the service staff was absolutely unacceptable to us as observers. We expect a restaurant to treat guests with respect – regardless of whether they accidentally seated themselves or wanted to ask questions.

The service is first-class, friendly, and attentive. The burgers are the best in Friedrichshafen, and the pasta is authentically Italian.

Highly recommended. The pizza is baked in a stone oven. The ingredients are fresh (e.g., no canned mushrooms). It's perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. A visit to Friedrichshafen is highly recommended.

Food is good but service is rude and crashes

We ordered a pizza for lunch and two drinks, and the waiter asked if we wanted to share a pizza. We said yes, because we only wanted a small bite to eat. The pizza cost €11.90 with salad as the daily special. However, the bill was €13.80. We didn't get a salad either. When I asked, I was told I should have pointed out that I wanted the daily special. The prices of the daily special were on the table in front of us. But the best part was that they charged us a "coperto" (€2.50). In my opinion, that's not allowed in Germany. They insisted on it. A disgrace, in my opinion. We'll never see that place again. The pizza was okay. They try to rip off every passing passenger. Caution is advised here.

Unfortunately, it's "only" second row to the lake. The food and service were excellent, despite it being prime time for dinner.

Huge pizzas at reasonable prices, great, innovative topping combinations to choose from (including vegetarian options), and special requests are catered for. Second row from the lake, but still a nice place to sit and watch the sunset in the pedestrian zone. We'll be back!

Good restaurant at the harbor, the taste of the food didn't blow me and my group away, but it was freshly prepared, the service was super fast and friendly, and the view of the water was magnificent

We were standing in front of the door at 8 p.m. when customers in front of us were being shown to the table. When we were looking at the menu cards available outside, a man came to quickly take away all the remaining ones and complained something to himself. We were then left standing in front of the door for several minutes and ignored. It was hardly a matter of time, but rather of the will to work...

During our vacation we (family of four) spontaneously went to this pizzeria for lunch. The atmosphere was nice, clean, well-kept. We were given a quiet spot in the next area. The food (pasta and pizza) tasted very, very good. You can clearly tell that the cooking here is based on genuine Italian taste and craftsmanship. You immediately feel like you are in Italy. We were all very positively surprised. If you appreciate Italian cuisine, I can highly recommend this pizzeria!

The selection was never taken - there is exactly one vegan pizza. Surprise: beetroot carpaccio tastes good on pizza. Thanks for the thoughtful compilation. The best thing I could do is top it off with an oat latte, which is what I was missing. Price was ok. .. and the side salad was really delicious

After an eventful day, we went to Pizzeria Centrale for dinner with our children (5 and 7). Without a reservation, we got a comfortable table in the back of the restaurant. Great for the children because it's quiet and there's little distraction. Due to the many pictures and the structure, the map overwhelmed us a bit. When ordering, our children were taken into consideration ("How hungry are you? Big pizza or small?"), drinks and food came together quickly and without being asked, so that the children only had to have a little patience. Salads, pasta and pizzas, appetizing, we all tasted very good. We'd love to come back again.

We were thrilled with the food and service. Great location and you can also sit outside. We were spoiled for choice as everything looked very good. And Friedrichshafen also has a beautiful promenade with delicious ice cream.

The service really went out of its way to find us a table for dinner at short notice. The menu is quite extensive and offers numerous alternatives alongside the Italian classics. Advance reservations are recommended.

Das Essen war mittelmäßig. Harte Burger-Buns was sehr schade war. Die Pommes dazu waren viel zu salzig, obwohl ich schon gern Salzig esse. Im Lokal war es sehr laut. Eine Bedienung kam nur wenn man sich stark Bemerkbar gemacht hat.

Very nicely decorated, clean restaurant. The pasta dishes are selected and very well made (al dente + own sauce), the same applies to the pizza (crispy + delicate toppings). Even the house wine is a good base for the meal. The espresso (also called corretto) is dense and effective. The hosts are very friendly and organized.

Addendum March 21, 2025 After two years (!) my review was reported here and I was accused of defamation - I don't know directly who reported this. Everyone can think what they want. Evidence was submitted to Google and my review was reinstated. It's a shame that honest, non-insulting and appropriate criticism is probably not welcomed. The restaurant is well located, centrally at the harbor, and has potential. Here is the actual review: Pizza Vegetaria was delicious, pizza salami on the edge and a little too black at the bottom. What stood out negatively was the boss! An older man (boss?) served us & the neighboring table and was generally very rude. No “please” when the drinks were served, a loud “HELLO?? HELLO?!” So the wrong route to the toilets was taken, which was not known. From the first moment we were spoken to, which was a quick wave of us being directed to a table, I didn't really feel comfortable as a guest. The lady at the next table had left a good 1/3 of the pizza left, with the friendly (!) note that it was burnt. The older man's answer: "Should I feel guilty now?!" in a very loud tone. We felt uncomfortable, the mood on our side of the restaurant became quiet and icy. We were there for the first and last time. I have the original receipt and will immediately file it in case someone tries to have this review deleted.

Pizza was quite good, but what's amazing is that you can't get any original drinks like Cola/Spezi at the prices. I've never had such a sweet cola before, the service wasn't that friendly either, access to the toilet was very dangerous because the stairs were very narrow

I would prefer to give 0 stars... I've never experienced anything like this in a restaurant! We kindly wanted to say that the food was a bit too salty and the boss was extremely rude and gave stroppy answers. I also paid 18 euros for a bolognese that was cold and I wanted other pasta with it! It's really a disaster how you can be a boss like that and treat guests like that!!! Never again...

Unfreundlicher Restaurantchef, der uns als wartende Familie grundlos angeschnautzt hat, weil wir ohne sein "Einverständnis" während des Wartens schon mal die Speisekarte studiert haben. Wie so jemand auf die Idee kommt, in der Gastronomie Fuss zu fassen, ist mir unbegreiflich. Seine Passion sollte ein Job in der Industrie sein, wo er irgendwo stupide eine Maschine bedient - ohne Kontakt zur Außenwelt!

Nie wieder!! Die Pizza erhielten wir mit einer verkohlten Fliege und in der Pasta war Alufolie. Wir haben den Ladenbesitzer daraufhin höflich informiert doch er hat das Problem nicht eingesehen und fing an uns zu beschimpfen und wurde aggressiv. Total arroganter und unhöflicher Typ. Rezensionen werden vom Ladenbesitzer entfernt, passt auf!

So the food & service were top. Pizza highly recommended. I hope I'm not writing anything wrong, but after reading a few comments about the boss being a bit BalaBala, I can't agree because he treated us very nicely and was very helpful with baby carriages etc. On the whole we were very satisfied as a family of three.

I initially didn’t have high expectations, given its prime location near the waterfront and on Friedrichshafen’s pedestrian walkway. Surprisingly, the food was both delicious and perfectly portioned. Even the service had an authentic Italian vibe—busy, a bit edgy, yet friendly.

However, the owner could use some help when it comes to dealing with his customers. The direct and uncharming manner is certainly not for everyone. Kindness looks different.
