Lammgarten in Friedrichshafen

It was super quick, delicious, and close to the lake. I ordered water and got medium. I thought I'd said no. The waitress changed the water—but reluctantly. She said she'd guessed what I wanted. I wish I'd asked for a follow-up. Otherwise, everyone was nice and really quick.

The fries were too salty, and the schnitzel tasted really strange and not good. I wanted spaetzle and fries, but it's not an either/or situation.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The ambiance at the Lammgarten in Friedrichshafen is simply gorgeous – it's a wonderful place to relax under the beautiful, large trees. The food is delicious: I had a Schwabenteller (Swabian plate) and a half portion and was absolutely impressed by both the taste and the price. Especially considering that you're sitting right on the lake, and in the tourist center, too – the prices here are really fair! Definitely worth a visit.

The food is delicious, the staff friendly. The portions are generous, so the price is justifiable. The atmosphere is pleasant, and it's easy to have a good conversation. The only thing that doesn't work quite as well, but is acceptable, is that the food isn't brought out at the same time. My Swabian plate (very tasty) didn't arrive until the others had half-finished their schnitzels.

The food appears to be frozen (schnitzel, spaetzle, etc.), and the sauces are very slimy, like those from a packet. The fries also taste of stale oil and are a bit musty, as if they've been thawed for a while. The food is definitely edible, but the price isn't justified for the quality. The ambiance is at least somewhat pleasant, and the service is adequate, but unfortunately, our plates were already cleared away while others at the table were still eating. All in all, we were sadly disappointed and wouldn't return.

A lovely, shady beer garden. It's not exactly cheap to stop here, but it's one of the few quaint, cozy spots in Friedrichshafen. The Swabian plate is recommended, even if the potato salad tastes just sour and the pork steak is practically unseasoned. The melted onions were also a bit disappointing. However, the portion was more than generous, and the homemade Maultasche (swabian ravioli) was a real treat. The Käsespetzle (cheese-spiced spaetzle) were very good and filling.

Kind of a beer garden. Nice and dry seating. Other people joined us. That was nice. We had a delicious vegetarian rösti with a huge, very fresh salad of carrots, cabbage, and celeriac. The sirloin steak was also good!

Experienced this today and several times before: Check your bill! The waitress (a special one) likes to round up. Today, two Zeppelin beers, large and small, cost €8.80, but they were billed at €9. Another time, the billed price was €1.70 higher. I noticed it too late. So be careful! Otherwise, the same as the post below... Old post: I come here often. The Zeppelin beer and sausage salad are great. Dog friendly.

While paying, she snidely referred to my partner as a "girl," and as we were leaving the beer garden, we overheard the woman at the next table complaining about us. The one star for service goes to another waiter, very friendly and, unlike the woman, NOT disrespectful. We are extremely unpleasant, as this one lady unfortunately ruined our visit to the Lammgarten on her own.

The best beer garden in Friedrichshafen. Professionals are at work, and you can tell from the moment you order to the end. Excellent service. Everything on the menu is highly recommended, and there's something for everyone! There's a playground next door that even keeps the little ones happy.

Unfortunately, the tarte flambée was very bad. Thin, ready-made dough from the supermarket and a strange, unappealing cheese topping. The service was friendly and quick, and the location is nice. I also had the impression that other food looked better, but the tarte flambée was definitely not good.

The truly delicious food is usually served within a few minutes (depending on the number of guests and the size of the group). The service is friendly and attentive—no one should go thirsty. The view of the lake and the adjacent playground make it attractive, especially if you have small children with you.

This Lammgarten restaurant is highly recommended for families. Why? There's only one playground on Friedrichshafen's promenade, and it's connected to the Lammgarten. It's fenced in and very large. The staff is on the ball. Drinks arrive very quickly, which is really great. Then you order your food. There's everything from regular meals to more expensive meals, and it all takes less than 10 minutes. They also have kids' meals. You can chat and people-watch. And the kids can play on the fenced-in playground. Restrooms are available. Highly recommended.

I'm increasingly disappointed with German cuisine, and it was no different here. The price/performance ratio is absolutely unacceptable. A Jägerschnitzel with fries for €20. Then a plain schnitzel without breading. You can get that elsewhere for under €15. The food is clearly a tourist trap for me. The beer garden is okay, though. The tarte flambée looks okay in the pictures, too. I'd give it 3-3.5 stars.

A beer garden with table service, located directly on Friedrichshafen's main promenade, the waterfront promenade. The modest menu offers hearty Württemberg home-style cooking to pair with beer, from which my wife and I chose the Jägerschnitzel and homemade Maultaschen (ravioli). The food was brought to our table very quickly by the friendly staff. The portions were substantial, with plenty of spaetzle and a salad garnish that almost covered the entire vegetable garden. As for drinks, the wines from Hagnau are served in 0.25-liter bottles and seem relatively cheaper than the beers from "Laichinger" and "Farny." We really enjoyed our meal at the "Lammgarten."

I visited this restaurant, which impresses with its beautiful location and great ambiance. The prices are a bit higher for a chain restaurant, but the overall package is perfect. Unfortunately, there was one situation that disappointed me: When I ordered additional bread and was promised 4 slices for 2 euros, I ended up only getting 1.5 slices. Unfortunately, it wasn't clarified beforehand whether these were whole slices, half slices, or quarter slices. When I asked where the rest was—I was expecting 4 whole slices and only received 3 half slices—the waiter unfortunately just shrugged and didn't seem to care. I found that really disappointing and unprofessional, as such little things can significantly spoil the overall impression. It annoyed me. I don't want to be a nitpicker, but I'm concerned about the principle here. Why don't they just communicate clearly what you're getting for your money? Then at the end of the day everyone can decide whether to accept the deal or not and they can't be disappointed if it turns out to be too much or too little.

We had a salad, we had children's fries and tarte flambée. To drink there was a non-alcoholic beer, a diet coke and a water, a mixed ice cream and iced coffee. Everything tasted great. Nice and friendly.

Unfortunately, I can't speak for the general atmosphere, but we wanted to go to the after-show party after the Mallorca Party Boat. Unfortunately, we found that security simply arbitrarily turned people away. The reason: too drunk. While others who had collapsed on the floor were allowed in. Conversation was impossible and rude, and it simply felt like an exercise of power. Those who did get in talked about the prices being way too high. It's a shame, really; it looks like a great venue otherwise.
