Pizzeria Calma Caos in Frankfurt am Main

Really rude people. Pizza is tasty, but if it makes you afterwards stay up all night and drink 1l water than it is not ok.

We had lunch here today with colleagues. The food was quite good. However, I'm only giving one star because the server was completely unprofessional. First, he gave us the wrong receipt. When I asked about it, he said the total was almost the same and that I had already added a tip. He refused to give us the correct receipt. Sure, it's not a big deal. A few cents here or there don't matter, but you can't treat customers like that!

Fantastic! I arrive at the restaurant, and the waiter, Aref, already knows that I'm a fan of the delicious Pasta Norma. My beloved and flavorful espresso is also served without me even asking, and this is on a trip to Frankfurt only occasionally. The stone-baked pizzas are brilliant as well. Flat, just the right amount. The only slight drawback is the ambiance, but that's only because of the music (volume). Otherwise, it's an oasis in the station "park" ;-) Keep it up!

Very, very tasty pizzas for a practically unbeatable price! The Calma Caos pizza was particularly good. The staff were a bit stressed, as the place gets very busy in the evenings, but they were still super, super friendly!

Calma Caos in Frankfurt is a good choice if you want a quick pizza for lunch. The pizza was quite well prepared, and the crust was nice and airy. The waitress was mostly busy talking and therefore quite inattentive. Overall, the pizza tastes good, but with every bite, you get the feeling something is missing—the good first impression is slowly disappearing. Perhaps it's just the flavor I chose, which only develops its full flavor while it's still hot. However, a good pizza should still be satisfying even if you take your time.

It's okay for a quick lunch during your break – comparable to L'Osteria. But nothing more. What really shocked me, however, was that the waiters topped the pizzas with ingredients at the counter – without gloves, without washing their hands in between, and doing so with complete nonchalance. Sometimes up to three different waiters handled a pizza before it reached the customer. Ingredients like buffalo mozzarella or ham were simply handled with bare hands and placed on the pizza. Absolutely spoiled my appetite. I found the manager particularly irritating: hands in his pockets, then touching the reservation book, bringing out bottles – and immediately afterward topping the pizza with the same hands. That's completely unacceptable and, in my opinion, simply unhygienic. Unhygienic and absolutely nothing special in terms of the experience.

The food was good, but everything else was more than disappointing. The Prosecco was expired and no longer good, and the service was unfriendly. When we ordered a group meal, the drinks we ordered often didn't arrive. The toilet overflowed, and when we discussed it with the service, no one felt responsible. A shame, never again.

I once ordered Penne alla Norma from Wolt. Instead of the fluffy, white ricotta in the photo, they smothered the pasta with a greasy herb mayonnaise. The pizzas are great, but the Pasta Norma was a total disaster.

I visited alone on a Saturday just after 1:30 PM. I was seated right away. I ordered a beer and a Margherita pizza with buffalo mozzarella cheese. My beer and a typical Neapolitan-style pizza with a crispy crust arrived shortly after I ordered. My first impression was that the pizza was huge (about 33cm in diameter). I've never been to Naples, but I imagine it's about 1.2 times the size of authentic Neapolitan pizza at restaurants in Japan. The cheese was also quite thick and generously topped. I have a small appetite, so I gave up after about 3/4 of it. This portion, including beer, was about 18 euros, so I think it was good value for money. If you're traveling alone, it might be best not to order multiple pizzas.

The boss, the owner, Wow, the management is great. I sat down when the waiter didn't come for a long time, he himself called him back to me. The atmosphere was relaxed. The food was Wow, I ate pasta and an appetizer. The prices were great, I will definitely come back.

We were surprised to find such a delicious restaurant on this busy thoroughfare. The menu encourages you to try new things and is pleasantly straightforward, yet there's something for every taste. The prices are good for Frankfurt at this location. The house pizza (Calma Caos) is highly recommended, although all the pizzas we saw looked good: thin crust, crispy crust (if a bit thick). The ingredients also looked high-quality. All in all, definitely a recommendation. The fact that it's right on the street inevitably disrupts the ambiance and tranquility outside. Inside, it's quite well decorated.

A straightforward restaurant in the heart of the train station district. The service is super friendly, attentive, and, despite the busy place, really quick. The pizzas are good, but our pasta dish was significantly better and truly delicious. The location is okay, albeit central. If you're looking for good, uncomplicated Italian food at a fair price, this is the place for you!

I went to the restaurant with my family and brothers for my birthday on July 15th, and we were all absolutely thrilled with the friendliness of the staff, the prompt and attentive table service, and, above all, the food. Far more than 5 stars. We'd love to come back and thank the chef again for the excellent bottle of red wine he gave me at the end.

Totally overrated, the service and food could not be improved. We had to wait a very long time for our food. The appetizer was served at some point, but the accompanying bread didn't arrive until 20 minutes later. The pizza was "rubbery," and everything (except the pizza) was completely coated in oil. The burrata and every pasta dish was swimming in oil. I mean, swimming in oil. On top of that, every dish contained far too much garlic.

The pizza is often very good, but the payment process with the server often takes just as long as the food itself, which is often inconvenient when you have a limited lunch break.

Unfortunately, our visit to Calma Caos was somewhat disappointing. The service seemed rather reserved and unattentive, which somewhat dampened the start. The pizza itself had potential, but the dough was raw in places and not evenly cooked. The toppings were okay – the portion size was generous – but the bresaola was dry around the edges. Either it was baked during the cooking process, which isn't ideal for this type of pizza, or it simply wasn't fresh. The price is acceptable, but there's definitely room for improvement in terms of taste and service.

The pizza was a dream! Top 3 pizzas I've ever eaten! I had the Spianata 🙏 The salami tasted so good, everything was perfectly balanced, and the crust was fluffy and crispy. My friend had the Calmar Caos, which was just as amazing. The drinks and pizzas came very quickly. We had two servers, one super friendly, the other rather unemotional and just doing her job, which is understandable on a holiday. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it.

I had the Insalata Verde and the Pasta Napoli. Unfortunately, the salad was absolutely nothing special—mostly leaf lettuce with far too little dressing. The pasta was also disappointing: very bland in flavor and definitely not worth the price. We also discovered that there was a mouse in the restaurant—an absolute no-no in a restaurant!

I was here with a friend on a Saturday evening. Despite not having a reservation, we got a seat without any problems. The atmosphere is very cozy. The staff are friendly and happy to engage in casual small talk. Our delicious meal didn't take long to arrive. Fortunately, you can also pay by card here. As a non-Frankfurt resident, it was nice that it's a quick, easy, and convenient walk from the main train station.

The best pizza selection in Frankfurt. I tried the Buffalo pizza, and it was very well done. The burrata cheese is an excellent appetizer. The arrabbiata pasta was medium and relatively spicy. It was delicious. And the staff were wonderful.

The restaurant has an Indian owner and the kitchen staff were Indian, which is why I was a bit skeptical at first as to whether they could prepare Neapolitan pizzas. I was taught better... We had pizza tono and penne all'arrabbiata with strips of beef fillet. The pizza was simply outstanding. Fluffy, fresh in taste and the ingredients are of 1A quality. The noodles were good and they didn't skimp on the meat here either, but there's definitely still room for improvement. In terms of price, the dishes are quite high, so you can set the benchmark for quality and taste a little higher. I would definitely come back for the pizza.

One of my favorite restaurants in Frankfurt am Main. Super nice owner family and courteous staff. Yes, and then these tastier pizzas - always a pleasure! If you haven't been there yet, definitely go! My tip: If tortellini is on the menu, grab it straight away because I've never eaten better anywhere!!

We tried 3 different pastas, carbonara, pesto and pollo and they were super oily. The food was grassy and did not leave a good taste. I see the comments for pizza are great, but avoid their pasta.

Very fair to the reviews here. We were there late in the evening and were immediately seated by the nice waitress and the drinks and food came just right. Very great for today's prices.

The name says it all. Very unfriendly service. Loud place. We had reserved, this is really recommended. Very crowded. The pizzas are appealing but only edible in places. Very soft and chewy dough. Very thick edge with very little coating in places. We had to wait 15 minutes for our service. We had to push our very narrow table 5 cm against the wall so that the passage was 1 wide and the escape route was guaranteed. Of course, this only applies to guests. The escape route through the kitchen was blocked with boxes and only offered a passage width of 50 cm. We had to wait almost 20 minutes for our second drink. Nobody felt responsible.

Only the ambience could be a little nicer... But it doesn't detract from the whole thing. The pizza there was really exceptionally good! A photo beauty (see photo)! The taste: like a Neapolitan pizza should be. Great spicy salami - cut a little thicker and not so thin. I like that! Dough... crust... tomato sauce... everything first class! Absolutely brilliant! No estoy seguro de dónde lo obtuvieron, pero fue increíble. Podría haber bebido el aceite. Prueba una mezcla de inglés, alemán e italiano. Como yo, bilingüe y ordenado.

Pizza Bresaola, simply really delicious!

Die Qualität der Pizzen war halbwegs ok – mehr aber auch nicht. Die Tonno e Cipolla war recht fad, der Parmaschinken aber geschmacklich durchaus passabel. Beide Pizzen war leider viel zu hell gebacken, wodurch der Teig wohl auch wenig Aroma mit ins Spiel brachte. Der Sauvignon Blanc war industrielle Massenware, die nicht weh tut, aber auch keine Freude bereitet. Das Erfreulichste am ganzen Besuch war der sehr flotte und auch freundliche Service. Fazit: Kann man machen – muss man aber nicht. Neaplitanische Pizza findet man heute jedenfalls in deutlich überzeugenderer Qualität.

Was great. Service was courteous, nice and only want the best for the guest. I ate a Margherita pizza there. So far it was the tastiest and best pizza I've eaten. In addition, the quality of the pizza is great. You get your pizza quickly. The price-performance ratio is also really good. I felt full, even though I normally eat more in quantity. I can definitely recommend it.

My husband and I had dinner at this place last weekend and had a great time. The boy who welcomed us speaks Italian. We drank two excellent Aperol spritzes and ate some very good pizzas, with very fresh and well-matched ingredients. My pizza had a very fresh burratina in the center. Good value for money. Advise!

On the way to the train station I made a quick stop at the Pizzeria Calma Caos, as the shop looked very inviting from the outside. Inside, the positive first impression continues: The concept is based on an open, industrial look - a style that is already familiar from other restaurants, but which has been implemented well. I particularly like the clear menu, which offers a good balance between vegetarian and meat dishes. I chose a vegetarian pasta dish. The preparation was quick, the dish was lush and overall solid. A chili oil was also served upon request, which I recommend to anyone who likes spicy food. One small point of criticism: The vegetables in the sauce seemed rather bland in terms of taste. A little more seasoning or a previous marinade would have given the whole thing more character. I found it particularly unfortunate that the mushrooms came from a can or a jar - fresh produce would have been a much better choice, as was the case with the zucchini and aubergines. The prices are absolutely fair for the quality offered. The staff was consistently friendly and accommodating. Overall, a clear recommendation – and I will definitely try the pizza on my next visit!
