Pizzeria Calma Caos in Frankfurt am Main

We tried 3 different pastas, carbonara, pesto and pollo and they were super oily. The food was grassy and did not leave a good taste. I see the comments for pizza are great, but avoid their pasta.

Very fair to the reviews here. We were there late in the evening and were immediately seated by the nice waitress and the drinks and food came just right. Very great for today's prices.

The name says it all. Very unfriendly service. Loud place. We had reserved, this is really recommended. Very crowded. The pizzas are appealing but only edible in places. Very soft and chewy dough. Very thick edge with very little coating in places. We had to wait 15 minutes for our service. We had to push our very narrow table 5 cm against the wall so that the passage was 1 wide and the escape route was guaranteed. Of course, this only applies to guests. The escape route through the kitchen was blocked with boxes and only offered a passage width of 50 cm. We had to wait almost 20 minutes for our second drink. Nobody felt responsible.

Only the ambience could be a little nicer... But it doesn't detract from the whole thing. The pizza there was really exceptionally good! A photo beauty (see photo)! The taste: like a Neapolitan pizza should be. Great spicy salami - cut a little thicker and not so thin. I like that! Dough... crust... tomato sauce... everything first class! Absolutely brilliant! Service also very nice. Well located near the main station.

Pizza Bresaola, simply really delicious!

Die Qualität der Pizzen war halbwegs ok – mehr aber auch nicht. Die Tonno e Cipolla war recht fad, der Parmaschinken aber geschmacklich durchaus passabel. Beide Pizzen war leider viel zu hell gebacken, wodurch der Teig wohl auch wenig Aroma mit ins Spiel brachte. Der Sauvignon Blanc war industrielle Massenware, die nicht weh tut, aber auch keine Freude bereitet. Das Erfreulichste am ganzen Besuch war der sehr flotte und auch freundliche Service. Fazit: Kann man machen – muss man aber nicht. Neaplitanische Pizza findet man heute jedenfalls in deutlich überzeugenderer Qualität.

I spontaneously visited this restaurant on a Saturday around 12 p.m. and immediately found a seat. Even an hour later there wasn't much going on... I decided on a pizza parma. The taste was good, the thin base is hard to cut with the toppings... The service is attentive and friendly. The restaurant is rustically furnished

Was great. Service was courteous, nice and only want the best for the guest. I ate a Margherita pizza there. So far it was the tastiest and best pizza I've eaten. In addition, the quality of the pizza is great. You get your pizza quickly. The price-performance ratio is also really good. I felt full, even though I normally eat more in quantity. I can definitely recommend it.

My husband and I had dinner at this place last weekend and had a great time. The boy who welcomed us speaks Italian. We drank two excellent Aperol spritzes and ate some very good pizzas, with very fresh and well-matched ingredients. My pizza had a very fresh burratina in the center. Good value for money. Advise!

Wonderful service and an absolutely delicious pizza I ate the Calma Caos which is the house pizza! I can only recommend this place and it definitely won't be my last visit.

Fantastic pizzeria with warm service and excellent food. The pizza is prepared in the open kitchen area in the stone oven with always fresh ingredients. Every person I have invited to eat there so far has been thrilled. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

If you've ever tried an original Neapolitan pizza in Naples, you won't be disappointed as a pizza lover here. Price/performance is right. Pizza really of a high standard, service nice and efficient.

On the way to the train station I made a quick stop at the Pizzeria Calma Caos, as the shop looked very inviting from the outside. Inside, the positive first impression continues: The concept is based on an open, industrial look - a style that is already familiar from other restaurants, but which has been implemented well. I particularly like the clear menu, which offers a good balance between vegetarian and meat dishes. I chose a vegetarian pasta dish. The preparation was quick, the dish was lush and overall solid. A chili oil was also served upon request, which I recommend to anyone who likes spicy food. One small point of criticism: The vegetables in the sauce seemed rather bland in terms of taste. A little more seasoning or a previous marinade would have given the whole thing more character. I found it particularly unfortunate that the mushrooms came from a can or a jar - fresh produce would have been a much better choice, as was the case with the zucchini and aubergines. The prices are absolutely fair for the quality offered. The staff was consistently friendly and accommodating. Overall, a clear recommendation – and I will definitely try the pizza on my next visit!

A simple shop with great service from the specialists. We ordered the large starter platter and the house pizza afterwards. Order came quite quickly. The platter was a must for anyone who would like to feast their way through all the delicacies. Regarding the pizza, which was a firework for the palate in terms of taste, you have to say that nothing was saved here. Very great restaurant, always a pleasure.

The waitress urged us to hurry, she cleared the food quickly and brought us the bill quickly, even though the restaurant was only half empty on Sunday. You couldn't feel comfortable there.

Unfortunately disappointing experience despite the inviting atmosphere We visited this restaurant on Friday evening (around 6 p.m.) after reading the positive recommendations and were initially pleased with the friendly welcome from the male waitress. He offered us a table and even let us choose where we wanted to sit. The drinks and menus were already on paper on the table, and a first plus point was the option to order pizza with vegan cheese for a small additional charge. However, since I was interested in pasta, my eyes fell on the allergen codes that I couldn't immediately assign. When the female waiter came by, I kindly asked if she could explain to me which code stood for what, especially milk proteins. Unfortunately, their reaction was very disappointing. With a sober tone and without any friendliness, she simply said that I should be patient and that she would come back to our table shortly. This behavior already gave us the feeling that we were not welcome as guests. And that's really because of the way she spoke, not because she couldn't answer straight away. After a while she explained (also soberly, without a smile, without an I'm sorry, etc.) that she didn't know what the allergen codes stood for and that no one in the restaurant could answer that. In addition, her boss is not present. I was informed that all pasta dishes contained cheese and could not be left out. This showed me a lack of flexibility in the kitchen, which is particularly problematic for guests with allergies or special requests. Since I then decided to order a pizza with vegan cheese, we were initially happy when the male waiter came to our table again. But here too the conversation was disappointing. Although I clearly explained that I wanted to order the pizza without regular cheese and instead with vegan cheese, he asked what allergy I had. We then explained it calmly, and that it wasn't just the cheese alone, but also dishes with butter, cream, etc. When he then casually said that I should just get the pizza with vegan cheese at an additional charge. I just thought "Huh? That's what I ordered? He wanted to understand what exactly I'm allergic to!" The lowest point was reached when I finally announced that I wanted to eat somewhere else. He was surprised because he offered me an alternative. Yes, an alternative that I read and ordered myself. He said that we didn't feel well and that his colleague had already spoken to us in such an unfriendly manner. In the end he said that with my allergy I should go somewhere else anyway - a discriminatory and unprofessional statement that is not acceptable in a restaurant. In addition, my comment about writing a review was responded to with the comment that they had enough good reviews. We were unable to form an opinion on the food or drinks due to these events as we left the restaurant without ordering. The nice and inviting atmosphere of the restaurant was positive. However, I cannot recommend this restaurant. The staff appeared unprofessional, incompetent and untrained in dealing with guests - especially those with allergies. Training in communication and a more conscious approach to guest requests would be urgently needed. Conclusion: ambience great, service flop. Not recommended for allergy sufferers or guests with special requests.

I was called by the pizzaria, insulted several times and threatened for no reason

We spontaneously went into the store on Saturday evening, which was actually completely full. But after waiting 3 minutes inside the shop, we got a seat straight away. We received a friendly welcome and were taken care of immediately. I give the service 10 out of 10. Food came quickly, in terms of taste the pasta was in the middle range. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't a culinary delight either. I would come back but try the pizza this time.

Rarely have I had such good bruschetta. The salad with prawns: a taste revelation! The service: more than attentive, polite and courteous, thank you very much! We are more than thrilled and will definitely come back. Thank you for a very pleasant evening with perfect food

We ordined a gluten-free pizza. When the waiter brought to us the pizzas, the one that must've been gluten-free was vegan. Later we asked again for our gluten-free pizza and they said that they don't make it in their restaurant. Horrible experience.

We showed up on a Saturday evening around 7:30 p.m. without a reservation and actually got a small table. The service staff were very friendly and took care of us promptly. Drinks and food were there very early. Both drinks were incredibly tasty and what can I say... the pizzas were amazing! I honestly don't think I've ever had a pizza as delicious as this! Pizzas are also very fair for this size and quality at €10-14. 12/10 and definitely a recommendation! :)

Very good pizzeria with friendly service. I can only warmly recommend the “Calma Caos” pizza, it is one of the best pizzas I have eaten so far. The others also looked very good. The ambience was nice, although I found the music to be a bit loud during our visit, but I don't know if that's always the case. 5/5

The chef needs to taste their dishes. The margarita with salami has so much meat and such a strong salami taste that there’s no pizza left to admire

Centrally located restaurant on Kaiserstraße in Frankfurt. In addition to pizza, there are also salads and pasta. So there is something for everyone. Despite being busy at lunchtime, the service was quick and friendly. The food itself was super delicious. Gladly again.

Never and nowhere in Frankfurt have I eaten such delicious Italian food, number 1!! The drinks you can enjoy here are just as great! I've been here several times now and every time it's been delicious. The service is very friendly and the food comes super quickly. My tip: The homemade lemonade and bruschetta is really the best I've ever had!!!

I ordered there for the second time tonight with colleagues. Both times it tasted very good and everyone was happy with either pizza or pasta. The salads are also very good and don't just have the classic run-of-the-mill ingredients. Unfortunately, every time I got something wrong. The first time, the extra anchovies were missing from the pizza, but today I was particularly disappointed with the Nutella Pizza alla Frutti. There wasn't a single piece of fruit on it, I can't understand how anyone could forget that. Then I thought it might just be a name, but according to the pictures posted here, it definitely has fruit on it. Too bad.

Rarely have we experienced anything like this evening! It will be the last visit to Palma Caos. The behavior of a particular waitress was unacceptable, I have never experienced anything so unprofessional and bitter towards customers. There were some inconsistencies with the food and she (the waitress) used a snippy and completely inappropriate tone that shocked us. After a discussion about this, a ban was threatened, absolutely ridiculous. Never again!

It's hot, like a cauldron. Food for 3 minus. The vegetarian pizza had a minimum of vegetables, 1 piece of eggplant, all the olives were piled in one corner, one piece of bell pepper and rare tomatoes, thick dough and a lot of cheese. The pasta was even worse. And all this under stuffiness, heat from the kitchen and terrible music. Just trash.

Delicious, beautiful looking pizza with fresh vegetables. Short waiting time. Alabiata pasta quite spicy, sauce made of fresh vegetables. Pasta Polo had noticeable pieces of chicken and mushrooms. We recommend.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. The tables were sticky and had no tablecloths, which left an unpleasant impression. The service wasn't exactly friendly and I had to ask twice for a glass with my drink before I got one. I ordered spaghetti bolognese and was surprised that you had to order extra cheese - that was supposed to be included. When I asked for extra cheese, the waitress seemed very stressed. In addition, there were no spices on the table to season the food. In an Italian restaurant there should at least be oregano on the tables. Although the restaurant had few customers, the waitress seemed very stressed. Overall, my visit was unfortunately not satisfactory.

I never leave a review but the way the entire staff behaves makes it worth it. this employee treats you with superiority, with an indescribable insensitivity... she rolls her eyes when you ask her something, sighs, throws your order with a defiant attitude... terrible... I don't recommend it!!!

We had the pizza spianata, which was generously topped with cheese and spianata and was simply delicious. The Penne di Manzano, on the other hand, was merely good. We'll definitely come back for the pizza.

There were 3 of us for dinner. On the recommendation of a friend, I invited the two colleagues along. We decided to eat there based on good reviews. Food was super tasty and prices were very reasonable. Location was also very cheap with a nice view of the high-rise buildings. What shocked me and made me very sad was the waitress (lady). When we asked if we could put two tables together, the super cheeky and arrogant answer was that it wasn't possible. (The fact that this isn't possible is all good but the way you talk to the guests is the reason for my bad rating). So processing that first and doing everything one after the other: enjoying the food and staying relaxed the whole evening - was unfortunately no longer possible because of this little "gesture". This left the whole visit with a bitter aftertaste.

Yummmmmmm-ohh! I’m an Italian Aussie and ordered Nona’s Bolognese. It was delicious!!! We are coming back to try the pizza. Great reasonable prices, good service, atmosphere is good because it’s busy.

Terrible service! We didn't get glasses or plates, had to ask and eventually pick up the glasses ourselves. . We were shouted at that the reservation was made for 5 and only 4 came. I was called blind for not seeing that the table is for more than 4 persons. Avoid blond guy speaking Italian. Extremely rude, shouting and making vulgar comments to customers

Honestly, the service they offer as a restaurant is terrible, I have come to this restaurant 3 times and I have had to wait at least 40 minutes to be served, and the employees respond in a bad way. I can't find anything positive to say about this restaurant. To sum it up in one word, it's horrible.

Burnt pizza, a shame! When the pizza came to the table I immediately noticed that it looked burnt and black. The waiter then just said that that was normal. Unfortunately it only tasted like soot and was very bitter. I can't recommend it. And paid €14 for it...

It's great to sit outside in the summer. Owner-managed, small menu, very tasty, always crowded and unfortunately expensive. Good wine selection if you ask for it. Then you can go into the basement with the boss. Always trying to find a place, even if no reservation was made.

Really very good italian pizzeria. I had "Bresaola" and my husband had "calma caos". We have a little high standards when it comes to pizza, and they both were above it, both really delicious with lots of topping. and the prices are reasonable for such pizzas, they were large in size as well. the lady serving us was also nice and friendly. Inside the restaurant looked cozy but we preferred the outside benches for it was cooler. I really wish i had one more chance to eat there, for it was much better and cheaper than all the schnitzel and even burgers that we ate in frankfurt for four days.

If you are looking for delicious pizzas and beautifully prepared drinks, you are in good hands here. The staff is very friendly and you don't have to wait long for your food. The only problem is the poor reception to the local mobile network, which is not compensated for by guest access to the Internet via WLAN. A longer stay for students who want to study after dinner or work on projects together is difficult, at least in the back seats. I will still come back often.

I had an excellent meal at the Pizzeria Calma Caos today and can fully agree with all the positive reviews. The service was super friendly and attentive, and our pizzas were both visually and tastefully perfect! Great dough and excellent, fresh ingredients - for me a TOP recommendation for lunch or a visit with the whole family.
