Definitely overpriced for the quality. The ambiance is nice and cozy, but the food is terrible. The Frutti de Mare had no mussels or crab, it looked like a few strips of calamari on top and that's it. The broccoli pizza also had very poor toppings, the salad dressing was sour, and the lettuce was very roughly chopped, which made it unpleasant to chew. On top of that, the prices have skyrocketed, which, in my opinion, doesn't justify the quality.

In short: we were thrilled with the pizzas every time

I've always been very satisfied with the pizzas I've ordered, but this time I was really disappointed. I ordered a pizza with fresh tomatoes and onions, but unfortunately, there were only four thin slices of tomato on it. The rest was cheese—far too much cheese. The pizza was far too greasy. It was more of a cheese pizza with a tomato flavor.

Fast delivery, food is great, driver was super friendly

The pizzeria is beautifully decorated. It's a place where you feel at home. The exceptionally friendly service also contributes to this. The pizza also tastes great; I can definitely recommend the pizzeria. I've been going there for years and have never been disappointed.

We ordered food, and it was still really hot. We loved the food; I can only recommend it; it was delicious.

Ordered two large pizza trays: crab and tuna, and Quattro Stagnioni. I've rarely eaten such a terrible pizza!! The slogan "Italian CARDBOARD" takes on a very real meaning! Barely any toppings, the dough was dry, with thicknesses of 0.5-5 cm, and not exactly cheap! 65% ended up in the trash. Never again!

What was delivered here isn't a simple mistake – it's contempt for the customer. I order a very specific pizza – and what's delivered is a Margherita, carelessly. No warning, no apology. They just slam any pizza in front of me, following the motto: "Eat or die." A disrespectful impertinence beyond compare. And then a delivery person comes along who is so obviously annoyed, listless, and rude that you wonder how he even manages to look people in the face. When an item was forgotten and he had to come back, his behavior was simply arrogant and dismissive – as if I were the disruptive factor, not him, who obviously doesn't have his job under control. People like that should be banned from customer service immediately. Anyone who shows such zero professionalism, zero respect, and zero decency is completely out of place in the service industry. Honestly: This wasn't just bad service – it was pure rip-off. What may have once been acceptable there is now only a shadow of its former self. Chaotic, cheeky, disinterested. Every euro you spend there is a mistake. I will never order there again—and strongly advise everyone not to.

Unfortunately, a very disappointing experience with Pizzeria Bella Roma in Essen. We ordered a pizza picante, but only received a simple pizza with mozzarella – no spicy salami at all. After calling, we were promised a new pizza. Instead, we were simply handed a small bowl with a few slices of spicy salami – that's no substitute for a whole pizza. We also ordered pasta with extra baked cheese. This extra request was simply ignored. When we asked, they simply said we should have called, even though the order was clearly placed via Lieferando – everything was listed correctly there. The service and handling of errors were unfortunately poor. This is not what you'd expect. What a shame!

The service is an absolute disgrace. Instead of a pizza picante we got a simple Margherita and a baked casserole was delivered without the baking because it was apparently not stated (in the note about Lieferando). When we pointed out that the note said “baked with cheese” and that we could prove this by showing it, we were told on the phone that we should call next time and that we would then get a Coke. (As if they would remember us next time? And we were calling now, when they could have brought this over?) It should be noted that you pay more money for baked cheese than what we ultimately get as consumers. Because the pizza picante was delivered as a simple Margherita, we were told that we would get a new one straight away. And what happened next was the height of audacity and cheek. The doorbell rang and the completely unfriendly delivery person gave us slices of salami in a plastic box. The arugula and mozzarella were missing from the pizza as well... that's completely unacceptable, and this place is a complete rip-off! I don't know if anyone else works there now, but the service used to be much better, more reliable, and friendlier. Now all we can say is that this place is absolute crap. On top of that, our other items arrived cold and completely burnt. This was definitely the last time we ordered from there.

My pasta was completely oversalted…

Absolutely disappointing - never again! I ordered there on a Saturday evening and was disappointed on the phone: the employee could hardly speak German and spoke extremely unclearly, which made the order unnecessarily difficult. I ordered two schnitzels with salad and cola as offer 2 - according to the menu for €20.90. However, I was charged a whopping €30! In addition, the schnitzels were misleadingly delivered without any sauce, even though I had expressly asked on the phone that they be delivered without cheese gratin. When I called, I was not treated kindly or given any kind of accommodation. Instead, I was loudly accused of having expressed myself incorrectly - an absolute disgrace! No apologies, no suggested solutions – just outrageous. For me, this was definitely the last order from this delivery service.

Ordered four noodles with crab, which is ridiculous for almost 10 euros. This was the last time we ordered from there, and the food was delicious 🤮 Stay away from that place.

Entering this shop to get a proper Italian pizza is like being transported through a portal from Essen to Napoli, the ambiance is just like the food, truly Italian, not to mention the outstanding courtesy and excellent service, I hardly waited for my super pizza in this Italiano joint 🇮🇹 simply bella 🤌🍕

We had pizza, pasta, and a meat dish. The value for money is good. The food is tasty and the price can't be beat. The ambiance is simple and straightforward—no frills. Parking can be a challenge. Delivery is also offered. The staff is very friendly, and since it's a family-run business, they're not closed every day. Conclusion: not bad, worth it!

My absolute favorite pizzeria. My wife and I only get our pizzas from Bella Roma. We don't need to test anything new because we already get the best 😁 I recommend Alberto Pizza. 👋 Greetings from the neighbor

No stars deserved! So I'm wondering where the tuna went? 98% cheese and 2% tuna for €6.50?? Tastes terrible with so much cheese. You can see me looking for the tuna and sorting out the cheese or taking whole rolls apart. I also had to wait 2 hours. My herb butter was forgotten, etc. With the salad, it was so warm, the cocktail sauce soaked the salad, and for a tonno salad there was very little tuna in it. The lady on the phone was nice for that 1 star. Otherwise no star deserves. So more than disappointed. The garbage can thanks you. Paid money for nothing and still hungry. LG. Never again

Die leckerste Pizza dir ich je gegessen habe! Knusprig, nicht zu fettig, einfach perfekt, besonders gerade vom Ofen

Nudeln gut, Pizza besser, Lieferung zügig, Lieferant freundlich. Essen kam heiß. Leider fehlte auf einer Pizza der Brokkoli, daher 4 Sterne. Nach der nächsten Bestellung dann hoffentlich 5 Sterne.

Die Pizza und Pasta weren ausgezeichnet. Die Qualität der Speisen hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Darüber hinaus waren der Besitzer und alle Mitarbeiteren äußerst freundlich. Der erstklassige Service hat mein Essenserlebnis perfekt abgerundet. Viele Danke, ich werde definitiv wiederkommen.

Wir kommen extra aus nähe Bielefeld immer zum Essen dahin weil alles einfach sooo lecker schmeckt. Kompliment an den Koch 👍 Preise sind auch sehr günstig. Da gibt man gerne Trinkgeld.

Ey unglaublich!!! Ich schreibe selten viel aber diese Pizzeria hat es in sich. Wir wurden unfassbar freundlich und lustig begrüßt und die Pizza ist einmalig. Überhaupt nicht ölig und selbst mit Gemüse kein Wasser, so dass sie danach siffig wird. Sehr lecker.

When I went to pizzeria for the first time. It tasted very good. Then I ordered for the second time at home, it was worst I ever had. I told him to make it very spicy, but it wasn't. Although they charged extra for making it spicy. Also, the taste of cheese was quite different. I wouldn't order from here again.

Ich bin zufällig auf der Durchreise hier gelandet und war etwas skeptisch, aber hungrig. Ich wurde sehr positiv überrascht, die Pizza war ganz nach meinem Geschmack! Insbesondere der Pizza-Teig war perfekt gebacken (außen knusprig und am Rand innen fluffig). Da habe ich bei vermeintlichen Edel-Italienern schon schlechtere Pizzen gegessen, von Imbiss-Buden ganz zu schweigen. Top! Und sehr freundlich!

leider musste mein mann sich das 2te mal nach einer bestellung von ihnen die ganze nacht lang übergeben mit durchfall und fieber. eine freundin meiner schwester hatte ganau das selbe problem nachdem sie bei euch bestellt hat. wahrscheinlich wird nicht sauber gearbeitet, echt schade das man nicht auf hygiene achtet und sich deshalb andere menschen quälen müssen!!

Heute erstes mal bestellt die Pizza war lecker wurde schnell geliefert und der Fahrer war freundlich. 👍

Nach über 15 Jahren mal wieder dort gewesen (wohne nicht mehr in der Gegend) und ich muss sagen, der Weg hat sich echt gelohnt! Alles super lecker! 🤤 Genauso wie damals. Schade, dass sie nicht bis zu mir liefern. 😔 (7,5 km ; 15-20 Minuten Fahrtzeit)

Kein Löffel und Taschentuch auf dem Tisch vorhanden. Auch die Qualität der Pizza ist nicht gut wie jede andere. Wir waren 5 Personen... Und fast haben wir alle veggie Pizza versucht, aber keine war gut.

Der Essen ist TOP (4 Sterne) aber… Die Sohn und Vater sind freundlich, die Mutter ist überraschend ganz unfreundlich. Sie meckert uns an, da verstehen wir gar nichts. Sogar, ich habe ein Liter Fanta bestellen, der Hälfte des Fanta nehme ich nach Hause mit, die Frau schimpft sich und muss Pfandflasche zurückgeben, aber hallo? Ich wollte eigentlich der Trinkgeld gegeben, aber so ist Verhalten des Frau, da gebe ich kein Geld dazu! Sogar der Rechnung ist ein Frechheit! Der Preisliste steht 1 Liter 2,50€ und ich muss dafür 5€ bezahlen…

Die beste Pizza, die ich je gegessen habe. Leckerer, knuspriger Teig, reichlicher Belag, gut geschnitten, nicht fettig… einfach köstlich! Schnelle Lieferung, sehr freundlich und dazu so schmackhaft! Da wird Qualität groß geschrieben und das zu einem guten Preis. Macht weiter so! Ihr seid Klasse!!!

Wir haben heute drei Gerichte bestellt: Pfefferschnitzel mit Pommes und Salat, eine kleine Schinken- Champignon- Pizza und ein Nudelgericht mit Brokkoli und Schinken. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war soweit ok; 22 € - also ca. 7 € pro Gericht. Das Essen wurde prompt (ca. 20 Min.) und heiß geliefert (allerdings ca. 250 m Luftliinie). Der Bote war freundlich. Das Schnitzel war frittierte Tk-Supermarkt-Ware (hat aber trotzdem ganz gut geschmeckt), die Pfeffersoße war wirklich gut - angenehme Schärfe, die Pfefferkörner nicht modrig und die Menge absolut passend - nicht zu wenig und nicht zu viel. Der Salat war soweit auch ok; das Gemüse war frisch und knackig, ist allerdings in der Cocktailsoße "ertrunken". Die Pizza war ok - wir haben schon schlechtere, aber auch bessere gegessen. Das Nudelgericht war nicht schlecht - allerdings etwas zu brokkolilastig (das ist natürlich Geschmackssache). Alles in allem für einen Schnellimbiss 3 Sterne von uns. Ist aber noch ausbaufähig. Sicherlich werden wir hier noch mal probieren :-)
