Delicious food in a nice restaurant and nice service.

Ambience: the seating has had its best years behind it. Leather cracked, worn and many chairs have entire pieces of the top layer of leather missing. Food and drink: prices rise and rise. Salad for 17 euros, burger 17 euros, starter platter 17 euros... but the quality doesn't reflect this. A glass of rose now costs 7 euros, the price of wine is now only medium quality, Ramazzotti... a huge ice cube and a shot of the drink. Service: just over half of the tables are only occupied, but neither the kitchen nor the service can keep up. Instead of regularly asking for drinks, conversations behind the bar are more important. Extremely negative... no card payment. I understand that the increased card fees are a deterrent, but including all the increased costs and still reducing the service is cheeky.

Super tasty, very good quality, the service is excellent. We felt completely comfortable. We are already looking forward to the next time.

We were in this restaurant on Friday, I had pasta with truffle sauce, which just tasted like cream, for 26.90, but ok. My friends had burgers and were very satisfied, one friend had an anti pasti plate and couldn't finish it all and asked to take the rest with her. The waitress, a slim blonde woman in her forties, said no problem, but never came back. When we had to leave, I went to the counter and asked again if she could perhaps pack it up, then she handed me an aluminum packaging and turned away again. In general, this lady is not made for service, if you have a business you should have a friendly face, unfortunately she wasn't friendly to us at all, and we were all missing that she was rather annoyed

We had brunch there together on Sunday. There was plenty of food served and we were very satisfied. It was tasty and plentiful.

Today we were invited by friends for an Italian brunch at Pino's. When we arrived, the reserved table was a feast for the eyes with a variety of beautifully arranged platters with antipasti, carpaccio, vitello tonato and many more Italian delicacies. We were warmly welcomed and instructed in the brunch process, which was later accompanied by a pasta dish. The food was plentiful, very tasty and of good quality. The service staff was friendly and attentive, even when it came to the drink orders. All in all, we had a wonderful morning at Pino's and can only warmly recommend the Italian brunch. The price-performance ratio was also good.

We were there for Christmas dinner with 6 people. Not an outstanding experience from start to finish. EC card payment not possible. You had to wait patiently for the first round of drinks, and you weren't asked for a second time. Dishes that were offered on the daily menu and selected by us were no longer available. However, that could have been said right at the beginning. We had to ask ourselves whether we would also receive bread to welcome us, like the guests at the neighboring tables. We waited 1.5 hours for our food, and one meal was even forgotten because it was supposedly "written on another piece of paper". Noodles were swimming in oil even though it was supposed to be a lobster sauce. Afterwards this was dismissed with the saying “Only speaking people can be helped”. We would have liked to talk, but unfortunately no one came to our table. I don't want to give any stars for the service because of the impossible statement and the lack of "critical" service staff (not very professional and incompetent). The ambience lives up to the name “Alter” Bahnhof. Worn-out seating and burn marks on the tables don't necessarily lead to a comfortable evening. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio isn't justified, as I've eaten much better for less money. It's a shame, but it agrees with many previous reviews here. Maybe we should rethink the concept.

We went to Pino's for brunch today and were overwhelmed by the selection and abundance of food! It was particularly nice that (almost) everything was already laid out on the table; Warm food was always added (sambas, sardines, rösti with salmon). And finally a tasty pasta dish - a very good price-performance ratio. As a matter of course, we were offered containers to take home any uneaten food. Absolutely recommended!!!

They made us wait over an hour for our food and they didn’t even give it to us at the same time. Bummer, because of this we were not able to enjoy eating dinner together. Would not recommend this restaurant.

We were at an event next door that evening and wanted to spontaneously end the lovely evening. The rump steak with pepper sauce was a bit too well done, the one with Pommery mustard sauce was okay. Not outstanding, but quite good. Unfortunately the (it turns out) owner doesn't know how to deal with guests. The EC device wasn't working (it was claimed that the WiFi doesn't work with 150 people.... By the way, this device is also available with a mains connection). We were told this on a handwritten note on the restaurant door, which we didn't use have. Normally you would certainly have had to tell the service staff to briefly point this out to the guests BEFORE ordering, but so be it... But what really marred the impression of the evening was the awkward discussion that started instead of politely apologizing and simply finding a solution and that's it! You had the impression you were dealing with a crazy 15-year-old speak - the fact that it wasn't an inexperienced waitress, but the "boss" makes the experience even uglier.

With this shop, Pino has once again outdone himself. The atmosphere is very cozy and the Italian flair cannot be overlooked. The food, as always, was delicious with an eye-catching menu that was very clear. See you next time.

We were at Pino with 4 people and imagined a nice evening with good food. Unfortunately, that was a wrong decision. The first impression of the place in dim lighting was good and it looked cozy. We also found the seating to be good. But that was it. When we presented our voucher book, the fun was over. We waited more than an hour and a half for the food and the drinks we ordered didn't arrive. Three meals were ok, the fourth, a pure mussel dish, was not, but this was only noticed after 2 hours at home and resulted in the worst poisoning of my life with everything you can imagine. That's why I can only give this review after 2 days. It was expressly pointed out that the mussels were completely fresh. Now it must be assumed that they simply had to “go away”. When we left the restaurant, there was no way to address the slow service at the table. We would have liked the drinks as quickly as the lady disappeared. In any case, we won't be entering the restaurant again.

A highlight in the cultural landscape of the Ruhr area is the restored Essen-Kettwig train station, which is a listed building. In this framed ambience, Pino's Bar & Restaurant fits tastefully into the Italian style and also many photos of Hollywood greats, not only when eating. The beautiful terrace with the many flower pots is a lovely eye-catcher. Not exactly cheap, but very good quality. Highly recommended for a feel-good trip. There are additional parking spaces for non-residents in the directly adjacent Park & ​​Ride. A tip: combine Pino's Bar with a tour of the historic old town of Essen-Kettwig!

Very cozy little restaurant right next to the historic Kettwig train station. We really liked the service and the food. We would love to come here for brunch sometime.

The facility is very lovingly decorated in an Italian style. We were there for Sunday brunch with 7 people and were very satisfied with the range and quality of the food. First of all, we had a Processo for brunch or alternatively 1 glass of orange juice. Their table was beautifully set and we were back More than satisfied. For 23.90 euros per person you get a rich brunch. At the end we had the opportunity to take “doggy bags” home with us. That was a filling meal in the evening. The service was very friendly and good. The staff The staff is unfriendly, responds to questions with annoyance (Question: What is vegetarian/vegan? Answer: Yes, the one with vegetables!), complains to one another in front of us about another customer and devalues ​​us and our hunger (quote: Like vultures ! (Because we were waiting for the buffet)). 2. The food Many of us eat vegetarian and vegan foods and we had announced this in advance. Nevertheless, the offer was very poor, especially for vegetarians and vegans, and there was a complete lack of signage about the food. So the decision was made purely by looks, which is a big problem for allergy sufferers, vegetarians, vegans, etc.! In addition, the taste experience was mediocre (especially for a restaurant) and there were too few for the number of people, refills were only available after about 1.5 hours (which of course was left over). 3. Planning and implementation Unfortunately, in consultation with our classmates who were supposed to take care of the event, the organizers didn't really make any effort to create a nice event. In addition, communication could be improved. At first we were told we could bring our own food (we just wanted to rent the room), this was subsequently revised. In addition, when an offer (a drinks flat rate) was rejected, as already described above, the response was annoyed (quote: you didn't want a drinks flat rate!) and drinks such as non-alcoholic wheat beer were sold out immediately. 4. Id recommend you only come here if youve got some time. The food was great, i really recommend the steak, its heavenly, but we had to wait 30 minutes to be able to order and then another 45 for the food to arrive.

I cannot recommend the restaurant because the kitchen prepared the wrong dish after waiting for three quarters of an hour. Even when paying, not enough money was returned because they didn't have enough change.

After visiting this restaurant several times, I can only say that I am more than satisfied with everything. The additional bread is limited for a group (9 people). The prices have risen extremely. The prices stated on the internet are no longer correct. Overall, the price-performance ratio is not right! The selection of dishes is significantly reduced.

Unfortunately, our experience with this event location (the room on the left was managed by the restaurant) was very disappointing. The furnishings left a lot to be desired: Some of the tables were broken and some of the tablecloths were in unsavory conditions (in some places there were only half the thickness of the table top). The tablecloths on the bar tables were also dirty, covered in candle wax and burned. Dealing with the local contacts was very difficult, which made the entire organization and process of the event unnecessarily complicated. A bright spot were the younger servers and bartenders, who were friendly and accommodating. Overall, however, we were very dissatisfied and unfortunately cannot recommend this location.

I recently went to this event location for a family celebration in the large hall and unfortunately I have to say that my visit was disappointing. The food tasted really good and exceeded my expectations. However, the staff, especially the contact persons, were extremely rude and unsympathetic. It was hard to feel welcome. The young waiters, on the other hand, were very nice and tried to make the stay pleasant. Unfortunately, her friendly demeanor could not compensate for the negative experiences with the contacts. To make matters worse, the tablecloths were dirty, the floor was dirty and the tables were broken. In addition, wax stains and burn holes were visible in the tablecloths, indicating a lack of cleanliness. These circumstances severely affected the overall appearance of the event location and greatly spoiled my visit. Overall, my stay at this event location was characterized by an ambivalent experience: good food, but a disappointing atmosphere and, in my opinion, a lack of cleanliness.

I celebrated my birthday in Pino's Restaurant in the "Alter Bahnhof Kettwig" and I was very satisfied. My guests, 16 of us, felt very comfortable. The employees are very friendly, I was given great advice about the food and the sequence of dishes. At the beginning, as we were tipped off, there was an antipasti plate that offered an extensive selection of starters. Fresh bread and a dip were offered. For the main course there was free choice from a larger menu and the daily menu. The whole thing was rounded off with a desert platter with a variety of different desserts. It was just round. We were provided with drinks very attentively and not intrusively. All in all, I can highly recommend Pino's for a celebration. It was also pleasant that we were able to have a good chat in the tastefully designed room with good music and also hear each other in conversation. Great acoustics for nice conversations! We often go to Pino's, but we were there for brunch for the first time on Easter Sunday. And we were thrilled! Everything was delicious and plentiful. I found it particularly nice that the table was already set with everything your heart could desire, so you didn't have to constantly wait in line at the buffet 😉. We had booked a table for 2 people at 5 p.m. on March 23, 2024 / it opens at 5 p.m. Our starter was forgotten - no apology, no question as to whether we wanted to eat it after the main course or not. Ä. The food was good, but the vegetables were only hot under the meat and fish - and what's not possible at all - ketchup and mayonnaise were served in plastic bags like at McDonald's. Worst cappuccino I've ever been served. We were there for an event - during the break there was only non-alcoholic beer.

A nice location, if only the service had been better. Actually, we (3 people) wanted to order drinks again. That didn't happen, nor did a lady at the other table leave the restaurant after a while without ordering. Accordingly, we had to pay for our drinks at the front of the bar. They didn't know the table number either. It's a shame, therefore only 3 stars for the location and the drinks.

I was there for dinner for an event. Nice atmosphere. I didn't notice anything really negative that anyone wrote. Okay, I would make my Pasta Nerone with lobster sauce a little lighter and not heat the shrimp for so long. It was still good, but too much for me. But that is subjective. I attended an event at Kettwiger Bahnhof with two friends. The intention was to have a little something to eat in the adjoining restaurant afterwards. Unfortunately, we were no longer offered any food at 10 p.m. on a Friday evening. We could only order one drink. Since we unfortunately didn't know the local area enough to choose another restaurant, we went home hungry. The location itself is very nicely designed. With an additional good meal it would have been a well-rounded evening. Therefore, the restaurant is not recommended for later guests. A pity! For this reason, unfortunately only 3 stars maximum!

At first glance there is a nice, cozy atmosphere in the old train station. But broken and flickering pendant lights, burn marks in the tables and cobwebs on the wall spoil the first impression and are not inviting. Unfortunately, there are dishes on the menu that are no longer offered, e.g. the lasagne - but you are only told when you want to order them. Ordered “Vitello Tonnato” as a starter and it was ok. The main course, tortellini in gorgonzola sauce, only gets a 4 out of 6 (according to school grade) in terms of taste, regardless of the size of the portion (I think the size of the portion is a bit borderline for the price, you won't get full if you don't eat it). starter, and these are also ready-made tortellini from wholesalers). The Gorgonzola taste was very, very subtle, with a Gorgonzola sauce I would expect a little more Gorgonzola flavor - but the smell and taste of the food was very strong like Maggi / flavor enhancer powder or something similar. When I asked the waitress about it, I was first assured that there was no Maggi or other powdered food in the kitchen - but later, after asking the kitchen, I was told that large quantities were being cooked today due to an event with the mayor, and that's why a “powder” was also used. The restaurant wasn't very full on Sunday evening, but the service didn't manage to check on the guest after the main course was served and maybe ask if everything was OK or if he would like something more to drink - so it stayed that way a glass of wine which was served shortly before the meal. A pity … I don't know whether the smell of drainpipes in the restaurant this Sunday was an exception or whether it always smells like that. In any case, the smell was very strong and noticeable all the time.

Very nice atmosphere, but VERY long waiting times for service. It took almost 45 minutes to get a menu to check on the drinks. After another 50 minutes someone came and took the drinks. Constructive criticism of food is listened to, but not even remotely implemented.

Waren heute brunchen. Das Essen war sehr sehr gut, hochwertig und reichhaltig. Doch wenn 18,90 pro Person auf der eigenen Internetseite steht und 23,90 mit der Begründung, dass der Preis sich im neuen Jahr auf dieses Level erhöhen wird, kassiert werden hat das Essen einen gewissen Nachgeschmack!

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal in Pinos Bar und haben den italienischen Sonntagsbrunch probiert. Die typisch italienischen Antipasti wurden in mehreren Gängen vom sehr netten Personal am Tisch serviert. Die Speisen waren frisch zubereitet und schmeckten ausgezeichnet. Das Pastagericht und der leckere Kuchen als Nachspeise rundeten den den Genuss ab. Wir haben rund zwei Stunden vorzüglich gegessen.

Das Essen war sehr gut! Aber erst eine halbe Stunde am reservierten Tisch warten bis die Bedienung kommt, ist zu lang. Nach der Bestellung dauerte es nochmal 15 Minuten bis etwas Brot kam. Die Antipasti brauchten weitere 30 Minuten ( da war das Brot schon längst aufgegessen, neues gab's nicht) Die Hauptgänge dauerten dann weitere 45 Minuten. Wir gehen da nicht mehr hin!

Ausgesprochen sympathische Bedienung, nette Atmosphäre. An diesem Abend ist das mit der Qualität des Essens allerdings nicht soo gelungen: Die Nudeln waren zu weich und die Soße dazu ausdruckslos. Der Burger war ok, aber kein großer Wurf. Das kann man besser machen. Die Reaktion auf unsere Beschwerde war aufrichtig und ehrlich. Wir versuchen es noch einmal. Vielleicht lag‘s an den zahlreichen Weihnachtsfeiern….

Wir waren durch die CULINARIS CARD auf dieses Lokal gestossen. Sehr schmackhaftes Essen, mit einer sehr netten Bedienung, die, die Karte vorstellte und Empfehlungen ausgesprochen hat. Das Ambiente interessant und mit Liebe zum Detail.

Schön eingerichtetes Lokal, freundlicher Service, gutes frisches Essen… in Stoßzeiten muss man etwas warten, wird dann aber mit dem Ambiente und dem leckeren, kostenlosen Brot mit Oliven und Quark entschädigt

Wir hatten gestern einen wundervollen Abend in diesem Restaurant! Das Ambiente im alten Bahnhof war einzigartig und sehr beeindruckend, besonders mit den großen schwarz-weiß-Fotos von legendären Schauspielern. Das schaffte eine besondere Atmosphäre. Der Service war erstklassig - sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir fühlten uns wirklich gut betreut. Das Essen war herausragend! Wir probierten die schwarzen Spaghetti mit Gambas und den Reibekuchen mit Lachs von der Tageskarte. Die Gerichte waren köstlich zubereitet und von hoher Qualität. Für jeden, der andere italienische Restaurants in Kettwig kennt, ist dieses hier ein absolutes Highlight. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und empfehlen dieses Restaurant wärmstens weiter. Vielen Dank für einen unvergesslichen Abend.

Als ich zum ersten Mal in diesem Restaurant war, war das Essen sehr lecker. Aber nach mehreren Monaten wird das Essen wirklich immer schlechter und schlechter. Außerdem benahm sich eine Kellnerin so arrogant, schlecht und unprofessionell. Wir werden nie wieder in dieses Restaurant gehen.

Wir waren an einem Sonntag Abend da. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste, was sich durch das schlechte Wetter und den Vorangegangenen Brunch erklären lässt. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und aufmerksam. Rundum zufrieden. Unser Gutschein aus dem Gutschein ich wurde direkt akzeptiert.

Hallo Leute , ich finde es ist eine Mega Coole Location , Lecker und Freundlich, jeden Montag gibt es Live Musik auf der Terasse ab 19.00 ( nächste mal am 03.07.23 danach ab den 07.09 im September wieder ) ist nichts für die Spießer, aber normale leute immer Herzlich willkommen!

Wir haben gestern an der Schnitzeljagd teilgenommen die um 10 Uhr morgens begann und um 18 Uhr endete. Wir haben unsere Tour so gelegt das Pino's Bar unser letzte Station gewesen ist da sie auch etwas weiter weg war. Um 17:35/ 17:40 Uhr sind wir dann bei Pino's Bar angekommen und wir haben uns draußen hingesetzt. Es ist keine Kellner/in zu uns gekommen oder zu anderen Tischen deshalb bin ich um 17:50/ 17:55 rein gegangen um zu bestellen. Ich sagte das ich von der Schnitzeljagd bin. Beide Damen die dort arbeiteten sagten genervt zu mir das es nix mehr geben würde. Sie wären fertig damit für heute. Kurz nach mir (vielleicht 1 Minute) ist noch eine Frau gekommen die auch von der Schnitzeljagd gewesen ist und etwas bestellen wollte. Nach einem längeren hin und her konnten wir dann doch noch unser Essen bestellen. Bis 18:25 Uhr standen wir dann da an der Theke wie bestellt und nicht abgeholt und haben auf das Essen gewarten müssen. Wir wurden nicht gefragt ob wir was trinken möchten oder der gleichen. Auf meine Frage ob ich eine Karte bekommen könnte (ich hatte nämlich echt durst!) und die auch später mit zum Tisch nehmen könnte habe ich keine Antwort bekommen. In der Zeit wo ich drin warten musste ist ein junger Kellner zu meinem Vater und Ehemann am tisch gekommen und hat ihnen versucht zu erklären das die Schnitzeljagd um 17:30 endete?! Ist natürlich Quatsch gewesen..Die Frau die fast zeitgleich mit mir an der Theke bestellen wollte erzählte mir auch das Sie und ihrem Sohn um die Mittagszeit schonmal bei Pino's Bar gewesen waren aber nix bekommen hätten und es deshalb später nochmal versuchen wollten. Überall standen auch Teller Tassen Gläser usw rum. Komplett überfordert! Vielleicht in Zukunft sich auf den Tag mal besser vorbereiten mit 2,3 Aushilfen damit man seinen Frust nicht an seinen Gästen auslassen muss! Laut eurer Liste die da gelegen hat vor meiner Nase sind nur 150 Personen von der Schnitzeljagd gekommen von fast 500 verkauften Tickets. Man hat richtig merkt das die überhaupt kein bock auf uns hatten und uns nicht bedienen wollten. Waren dann auch schnell wieder weg.

Der Laden war kaum besucht und wir mussten 30min an einem unabgedeckten Tisch auf die Bedienung warten. Das Bruschetta war wenig und bestand zu 90% aus gewürfelten Zwiebeln und 5% aus Tomaten und 5% aus Brot. Am Nachbartisch sind bereits Gäste gegenagen, die 1 Stunde auf ihr Bier warten mussten. Geht da nicht hin.

Alles in alles wars OK. Wie waren im Rahmen der Kulinarischen Schnitzeljagd hier. Es gab Bruschetta. Das war nicht so lecker, hat sehr zwiebelig geschmeckt und gar nicht nach Tomate. Die Getränke waren lecker. Der Service sehr langsam. Es gab nur eine einzige Kellnerin für alle Tische und Leute. Die Klos sind sehr abenteuerlich. "Alter Bahnhof" ist hier Programm.

Super netter Service. Super leckeres Essen. Super außergewöhnliches Ambiente - vor allem indoor! Terrasse auch sehr schön vor dem historischen Gebäude; leider an der Straßenseite und daher manchmal etwas laut... Aber dennoch unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Das Essen schmeckt außerordentlich gut, vor allem die Steaks und dazu gehörigen Soßen, liebe ich. Die Portionen sind immer mehr als reichlich. Das Ambiente ist original italienisch und in dieser Form kaum wieder zu finden (keine von den langweiligen Standard restaurantketten ). Gehe immer wieder gerne hin :)

Heute mal wieder hier gewesen und es war wie immer spitze: das Essen, die Location sowieso und der Service einfach perfekt. Freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal! Weiter so.

Sind von Rüttenscheid nach Kettwig gezogen. Waren sehr unsicher, ob es hier auch Gastronomie gibt, die uns gefällt. Aber: Es gibt viele gute Lokale hier, die wir gerne besuchen, am liebsten gehen wir aber ins Pino‘s, super Atmosphäre, Essen ist immer gut und der Service ist echt spitze, immer wieder gerne 👍

Leider wird das Potenzial dieser Location auch vom mittlerweile 5. Pächter nicht ausgeschöpft. Speisen, Service und drumherum maximal durchschnittlich.

Was für ein schöner Ort! Sehr persönlich geführt mit leckeren Speisen, nicht soooo viel für Vegetarier oder Veganer, aber das ist dann lecker. Hier ist es trotz der Größe ungemein gemütlich! Und Hunde sind willkommen. Das ist sehr schön.

Ein angenehmes, gutes Restaurant. Man sollte nicht zuviel erwarten.

Wuerde am kommenden Freitag vielleicht gerne diese Location zur Party Time besuchen Nur wenn ich die Rezessionen lese dann vergeht mir die Lust dieses Lokal zu besuchen Wenn ich dann 15 Euro Mindestverzehr habe und nach 5 Minuten merke die Rezessionen hatten allerecht dann ist das ganz schön blöde Fuer das hart verdiente Geld gibt es genug andere Location die mir das bitten was mir die Couch nicht bittet Bei Pino bin ich mir nicht sicher wenn ich das alles Lese Vielleicht kann mal einer schreiben wie es war falls er dort am Freitag hin geht

Montags findet ein Musikabend statt,lohnt sich!!!

Die Atmosphäre in der alten Bahnhofshalle ist sehr angenehm und ansprechend. Das Essen war appetitlich angerichtet, super lecker und der Service sehr freundlich. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!
