PINO PIZZERIA & WEINBAR in Würzburg

Moldy cheese 🤢😵 I ordered a vegan pizza to takeaway here and was shocked and horrified to discover at home that a block of vegan cheese had clearly visible, dark mold on it. Edit 1: "Block" simply means a normal cube of cheese, nothing unusual. This shouldn't happen; there's no excuse for it. I've lost all trust in this place. I advise everyone to stay away from here – there are more than enough other pizzerias in Würzburg that still value hygiene and quality. Edit 2: No, I don't have a picture of it anymore. The pizza went straight into the trash, which was very painful for me, especially considering the food waste aspect. But it was definitely not safe to eat.

The ambiance could be improved; cozy, and I imagine Italian a little different. The service was very friendly and always present. The appetizer (unfortunately, no photo) 3 slices of toasted baguette, spread with vitello tonnato, topped with 2 slices of veal each, some shaved Parmesan, fresh arugula, and fried capers. It was honestly super tasty, but €15.00 was steep! The pizzas: crispy crust, fluffy crust, well-topped, and cooked. Great taste. Price OK.

The service at this restaurant was extremely friendly. The restaurant itself is rather mediocre in terms of decor; it lacks a bit of Italian flair. The pizzas had good toppings, but the crust wasn't to our taste. Although it was nicely browned, the crust had the consistency of a marshmallow. The crust was also browned, but so soft that it formed a mush with the toppings. The crust wasn't crispy or crunchy at all. It was thought to be undercooked.

We had a very good pizza. The house lemonade was also delicious. The very friendly and attentive service was particularly noteworthy.

The best pizza in Würzburg. Service is always friendly and competent. The brand is perfectly represented. The restroom invites you to linger with Asterix and Obelix on TV. We love it.

If the pizzas hadn't been lukewarm and the tomato sauce had been seasoned, it would certainly have been one of the better pizzas in Würzburg. The atmosphere is hectic. We waited almost an hour for our pizzas.

The pizza crust was tasty, but there was almost no cheese on it. The middle was completely bland. Lots of staff, but unfortunately not. Not professionally trained. The menu is a concept in itself (the € symbol) that seems unfamiliar. Prices are overpriced (small spaghetti ice cream, €8, but really small). A shame.

The food is good, but could be better. The service is focused on making money, but it's nice. The ambiance, well, everything's good.

We recently ate at Pino and the food was great, but the table we sat at... wasn't so good! We were outside by the entrance. The service and others were really nice, but the table was half full! I don't think that's acceptable because, firstly, there's less space, and it just looks ugly, plus it's impractical! It could be better, which is a shame.

The two of us ate at Pino this week. It was very busy. Both the inside and outside areas were full. So it wasn't surprising that it took 15 minutes to place an order. After that, it took another 30 minutes for our pizza to arrive. Which was fine. We also knew that the table was only available for 1.5 hours. Which is really very short. However, at least the service should have been good and prompt. No one asked us if we wanted anything else to drink or if we had any other requests. 10 minutes before the 1.5 hours were up, someone came to clear our plates and asked if we wanted a coffee or dessert. I then asked if we could eat or finish that in peace. The answer was: "You still have 7 minutes." That should be enough. I find that pretty cheeky and inappropriate. The pizza was good, but due to the tight time frame, we won't be coming back for a while. I don't want to have to constantly look at the clock when I want to spend a cozy evening with my friends.

Top-notch taste, but unfortunately, the atmosphere wasn't: The pizza was truly outstanding – there's nothing to complain about in terms of taste. Unfortunately, the service noticeably ruined our evening. Upon arrival, we were told that the table was reserved until 8:30 p.m. – perfectly fine for us, and we planned our stay accordingly. Our first encounter with the waitress was all the more disconcerting: No "hello," no "welcome" – instead, her first words to us were: "And you want the 3-liter Aperol Tower, I assume?" We had just taken our seats, didn't have a menu yet, and felt a bit taken aback. When a friend politely asked if they served pasta, the reply was sharp and annoyed: "No! We're a pizzeria." Of course, that's understandable – but the tone was unnecessarily rude. After that, we didn't feel like asking anything else. Towards the end of the evening – we were relaxing, drinking our 1-liter Aperol (half full) – we received a reminder shortly before 8 p.m.: We had to leave at 8:15 p.m. Confusing, since we had originally been told it was 8:30 p.m. We said no problem anyway, paid right away, and wanted to finish our drinks in peace. But at 8:11 p.m., the waitress came back: "I don't want to send you out, but the next guests are here and want to be seated. And that's why I have to send you away." – and that's exactly what happened. We had to hastily finish our drinks and clear the table – well before the allotted time. Of course, anyone can have a bad day – and on a Saturday with a full house, it's bound to be busy. But as paying guests, we want to eat in peace and feel comfortable within our booked time slot. Eating out is a luxury these days – and being stressed or rushed off unfortunately leaves an unwelcome feeling.

Student bar. Absolutely the wrong place for our family graduation celebration (Master's). Despite repeated reassurances on the day of the celebration, the table was far too small for the group (15 people - table for 10). Pizza was nothing special, drinks were served in cans/bottles without glasses. No food after 9:00 PM (at most, pizza until 9:30 PM) - opening hours like those in the middle of nowhere. Staff and guests - all students. Food: also for students. The pizzas (actually the "signature dish") look nice, but unfortunately, the taste is only average. The crusts are partly still raw/undercooked, the center under the toppings is very soft – not crispy. The oils (garlic and chili) are completely tasteless/artificial, even in terms of color. Edit: No, dear Pino team, we didn't mistake the restaurant at all. We were informed in advance (after explicitly asking and despite the "regular" longer opening hours) by phone that we had to order by 9:15 p.m. at the latest, and even then, there would only be pizza available. "No appetizers, no salads, no pasta, no dessert." On the day of the party, the waitress (a very young lady) was at the table at 9:15 p.m. to take the "last" food orders. Because two guests were late, she informed the guests present that she would not be taking their orders later. The following (arriving) (according to the sat nav, 9:25 p.m.) So, guests were forced to quickly order by phone (without a card) while they were on their way, while the waiter was still at the table. We've never experienced this before, especially with a not insignificant turnover. P.S.: At 10:00 p.m., the last drink order was announced.

My favorite pizza spot in Würzburg! The Neapolitan pizza is very authentic, and they have some really cool variations. I really liked the seafood one. The appetizers are also great. It was recommended to me, and I can 100% recommend it.

The delicious food is definitely worth praising. We had two vegetarian pizzas, which were delicious. It's also nice that there are some exciting options in the veggie section. The bruschetta was also delicious, although the prices for starters and pizzas are on the higher end. The service was disappointing; although it was nice, it seemed severely understaffed overall. Drinks arrived after the starter, about 30 minutes after ordering. The pizzas then took another hour. Reordering drinks also took a very, very long time. Overall, recommended, but the service area needs more staff.

With a high density of mustaches among the staff, the food is great; the pizzas are really good, with some variation. The prices are rather upper-middle for Würzburg, but they're really good. Definitely recommended for pick-up, too.

In my opinion, the best pizzeria in Würzburg, even a bit better than Pepe on Petersstraße. The pizzas and appetizers are delicious. Friendly, fast, and attentive staff. I definitely recommend it. The location is a bit out of the way, but it's absolutely worth it! Reservations are definitely a good idea, especially if you want to sit outside in the summer.

I can't give more because of the fraud. I placed an order for a "surprise bag" in the "to good to go" app, and it said the price of this order was 16.50. What did I get? A regular Margherita pizza, which costs 8.50 in a restaurant. And I'm sure pizza shouldn't be burned. I read the reply and... you don't understand the concept of the app. You can't even give away bad food for free! They sell the rest there, so you still have good food left at the end of the day. And other businesses in this app don't list food for less than the price in the app. I advise you to familiarize yourself with the application.

PINO is worth every visit. The pizza is absolutely delicious – simply delicious, the dessert is a dream. And the blonde waitress is super friendly and accommodating.

The menu is very limited. But what's on offer is truly delicious. Once you've worked your way through the menu and found something you like, it tastes really good. The dough is fluffy and the toppings are delicious. I had the pizza salami with fennel salami. It was definitely very interesting. You can add even more spice with the spicy oil, depending on your taste. I'll be back!

We ordered by phone at 7 p.m....a Salad Verde for €11 and a Pizza Calabrese for €17. We were told there would be a 60-minute wait, but we had to wait an additional 30 minutes in the restaurant. So the wait was 1.5 hours. 0 stars for this. Customers' time doesn't seem to be very valuable here. The pizza was, as always, exceptionally delicious - a different kind of food. The salad, however, was a joke in size for €11, but delicious.

I stood at the door at 10:47 p.m. today and asked the employee if I could get another pizza. She informed me that you are already closed. According to the opening times, the store would be open until 11:30 p.m. I drove the long distance for free. So just one star and a thumbs down👎

The worst pizza I have ever eaten in my life. To test it, I ordered pizzas on three different days and received the same lousy dough quality and cheap supermarket toppings every day. It's a small and cute place with a nice atmosphere. We shouldn't make it normal for the lady who works there to ask, "Would you like to tip?" when I go to pick up my order? If they were a pizzeria capable of making good pizza, my rating definitely wouldn't be like that. Update from 05.25: If anyone wants to try this restaurant, they should go! One of the good ones in Würzburg if you eat directly on site. Delivery hasn't been so good for us so far but it's very tasty when we get there!

If you want to eat a truly fantastic Neapolitan pizza, this is the place for you. Gastronomy is not just what is ultimately on the plate. Of course, the focus is still on that. What we got here was terrific. We have also eaten what some testers say is the best pizza in Germany (at Zulu in Fürth). In our opinion, the pizza here was at least on par in terms of taste, but the service and, above all, the atmosphere in the shop were much better. We will travel to Würzburg again and will definitely eat at Pino again and bring friends and family with us. We are already looking forward to it! :)

The pizza dough is looking for its equal in Würzburg (and can't be found...). 🤤 Extensive selection of high-quality pizzas with really good ingredients and some creative starters. Delicious dessert (lemon tart, tiramisu, spaghetti ice cream, creams...). There is a diverse selection of trendy drinks and wines on top. The service is well-rehearsed and scores with a positive charisma. Despite the restaurant being at full capacity (and the delivery service “on the side”), the food arrived at a rapid pace. Ambiance was pleasant, perhaps a bit noisy. You definitely have to make a reservation, which is easily possible online via Opentable. What could be improved is to offer a cappuccino or latte macchiato - there is only espresso for dessert. And it would be great if the interesting starter plates could also be ordered for one person. Absolute recommendation! 😊

Unfortunately I got diarrhea straight away and had to sit on the toilet and luckily there is a TV in the guest toilets for that, there are 5 stars but the pizza maker has to check his ingredients again before he serves them on the pizza: the champions weren't that good anymore. Too bad!

The vegan starter, which cost €16, wasn't good value for money. The same goes for the Aperol Spritz, which was very small and very thin. Was the Prosecco forgotten? The pizza was very tasty, although the crust was a bit thick for my taste.

Unfortunately we were late but got a seat at the counter. I recommend this place because the service is direct, “Sarah” the coordinator was great and had everything under control. The food was a dream and in February there was the Pistaccio semifredo which was a dream 😍

Pizza & salad were delicious. The house lemonade was nice and lemony - just right. There is no pasta, but I don't see that as a negative thing. Here it is better to concentrate on a traditional pizza with homemade, fluffy dough and a large (sometimes unusual) selection of pizzas.

A great pizza restaurant, if you are a pizza enthusiast you will get your money's worth here. Unfortunately, you won't find noodles here. The pizza is absolutely top notch, fresh, crispy, juicy and more. The house limo is recommended. The service is also very good, friendly but not too much. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the desserts because we were already so full from the pizza with no room for more. We'll come back for that😊

The best pizzeria in Würzburg 🍕an absolute tip!

We went to the Pino Restaurant for the first time today. The food was very tasty and fresh, and the waiter was also extremely friendly. Unfortunately, there are some points that made our visit less pleasant. On the one hand, we had to wait almost 45 minutes for our food, while a neighboring table got their food after just 10 minutes. The music was very loud, making it difficult to have a relaxed conversation. It was also quite cold in the restaurant throughout as the door was constantly being opened. Unfortunately, this didn't make it comfortable to stay seated for any length of time. The selection of starters was also quite limited, which we found a bit of a shame. The toilet situation was also not ideal as there was only one toilet, which led to longer waiting times. The food itself was good, but unfortunately due to the circumstances mentioned we will not be coming again.

Five stars for the quality and taste of the pizza and that's what it's all about when you go out for pizza! It's difficult to counteract the fast pace of today's world in the catering industry, which is why unfortunately only four here! However, the selection and quality of the dishes on offer are really first class and unrivaled in Würzburg (in my opinion)! ...and I don't advertise, I just like pizza myself with a pizza maker and a dough with high hydration etc. and I really appreciate the work that goes into real Neapolitan pizza! I always feel completely at home here. I can't say whether I think the shop is better than the other local pizzerias that also offer Neapolitan pizza, as it generally varies somewhat from visit to visit. So far we've always enjoyed the pizzas very much and I think the selection is really good, as it's not just the classics that are available. The staff are always very friendly, so you feel comfortable. However, they sometimes seem a bit overwhelmed or overloaded... in terms of price, I think they are a bit more expensive than the other competitors but not worth mentioning. We'll definitely be back.

Best Neapolitan pizza I've eaten. Attentive boss with good Lambrusco recommendations and the tiramisu with extra pistachio cream is a dream. A truly outstanding venue with excellent, attentive service. Particularly noteworthy is the attention to detail, which is reflected both in the presentation of the dishes and in the warm treatment of the guests. A place to which you always like to return.

PINO is simply the highlight of every visit to Würzburg! Every time I visit my good friend there, there is no way around PINO. The atmosphere is wonderful – modern, cozy and just makes you feel good. The team is young, super attentive and incredibly friendly, which always makes the evenings there perfect. Particularly noteworthy are the legendary 3 liter columns - absolutely brilliant! They are guaranteed to make for the best and most fun evenings, and although we may not always be on our best behavior, the waiters always take it with a touch of humor. This relaxed and warm manner of the team makes PINO truly unique, and we hope that we will always be welcome in the future! And then of course the food: The pizza is absolutely unbeatable – the best I've ever eaten. Fresh, authentic and of the highest quality. Everything about this place is just great, great, great! I absolutely loved the pizza at Pino’s! The quality of the pizza is simply outstanding – super tasty and really incredibly close to a real, original Neapolitan pizza. The dough was perfectly airy and the ingredients were fresh and aromatic. A special highlight was the service: Heiner, the employee, was super nice and friendly. We immediately felt welcome and received excellent advice. If you're looking for authentic pizza and a great ambience, you should definitely try Pino. Highly priced, but extravagantly good pizzas with friendly service. Parking situation is more than inadequate.

Unfortunately no parking spaces nearby. The interior of the restaurant is rather modern/very simple. 1 toilet for everyone. We had a place where we could look directly into the kitchen. Some people like it, others don't: the dishwashing worker was wearing a thick jacket, a knitted hat up to his forehead and a corona mask up to his eyes: strainge. We had to wait about 45 minutes for our pizzas: the main business seems to be with deliveries outside the home. But when we were served the pizzas, everything was absolutely top: the service was very friendly and the food was incredible too! Everyone had a different pizza, each one was special, nothing run of the mill. We had never eaten such good pizzas. The dough was great and so were the toppings. The higher price is already justified. The fact that the drinks have to be so expensive...well.

Super delicious Neapolitan pizza 🍕 Tastes like Italy 🇮🇹 ☺️

It was our first time at Pino because we heard about the good and exclusive pizza. After making the reservation through Open Table, we were told that the dress code was Business/Business, so we dressed up accordingly. When we arrived at the restaurant, we felt pretty overdressed; even the waiters were wearing simple, unironed T-shirts. The overall atmosphere was pretty casual, we actually expected something different from the menu. Appropriately, the drinks were also served in bottles, without glass, which is what I'm more familiar with in kebab stalls or similar. The service staff were visibly untrained (very shy, no questions asked, when we were in the final stages of eating, a waiter simply came and cleared the oil etc. from the table without saying a word. They also didn't ask in between whether we were still there, for example want something to drink or whether everything is okay). The pizza was very good and, above all, unusual varieties are offered here. That's exactly why we were hoping for a little more from the ambience and service. Overall, we would like to come back again.

The fluffy edge and the dough particularly stood out. You could also taste the freshness and love in the ingredients of the topping. In terms of taste, size and appearance, it's the best pizza I've eaten in Würzburg so far. The space is smaller and can be noisy, but at the same time it is nicely furnished and it's great to be able to look into the kitchen at some places and admire the fresh, steaming pizzas.

Unfortunately zero stars! I had reserved a table for 8 people for our boys' Christmas dinner on Saturday evening. The reservation was made by telephone on October 2nd, 2024 in order to get a table in time for the pre-Christmas period, as the note on the homepage or via OpenTable said that reservations can only be made by telephone in advance. When we arrived at Pino on Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m., we were informed that our table had been canceled days before via OpenTable. When we asked how to cancel online if a reservation was made by phone, we didn't get an explanatory answer. As I said, I had no data or options to cancel the table online. The boss then answered the phone during our conversation and didn't want to help us. Unfortunately, our evening ended before it had really begun, because with 8 people it is impossible to find a table somewhere at 7:30 p.m. in the run-up to Christmas. It's really a shame because the pizza at Pino is really delicious.

The pizzeria was recommended to us as the best in Würzburg, so we had to try it out and the conclusion was mixed. The pizzas are somehow special, not standard. The ingredients are absolutely high quality, the dough is airy and fluffy and tastes really good. However, two of the three pizzas were pretty soggy, so the bottom wasn't crispy, but rather mushy and soft. According to my personal taste, the consistency of a pizza must be such that you can eat it in your hand. That wasn't the case here. The ambience is this very modern "hipster style", but also seems a bit barren and cold. But that too is a matter of taste. Overall, I don't really want to criticize the Pino, but it really depends on your own preferences and we probably won't go there again.
