Delicious and plentiful food!!!

Very good, well filled bowl. I recommend and despite my celiac disease they were able to guide me properly and it was very good I even had to learn to eat with chopsticks very good experience.

Had eggplant with pork belly and hot bean paste, two chillies. The aubergines didn't taste good at all, the meat was old. Despite two chilies, it wasn't spicy either. Apparently a restaurant for Chinese people who long for mom's food, no matter what it tastes like. Because food is, above all, culture.

Go here for the good food, not the ambience.

My absolute favorite restaurant here and a highlight in the Freiburg Asian food scene! You can have it authentic or Europeanized - both delicious! My favorite are definitely the Chinese dishes

I found the food tasty for the price. Unfortunately the tables are in shared rooms at the back without windows. The poor fish in very unsightly and small, desolate aquariums. I won't go there the second time.

Very good, authentic Chinese food, which is also confirmed by the many Chinese guests. Fresh vegetables and a variety of flavors. Medium portion. More of a fast food restaurant than a restaurant, no facilities. Mostly friendly service. Toilets OK and fully equipped. Reasonable prices (辣子鸡丁：EUR 13.00). The WiFi hasn't worked for months, there's no soap in one sink, and the water doesn't drain well in the other. I'm surprised that problems like this aren't just fixed quickly.

Wrong food given. Or the food that was made incorrectly for someone else was foisted on me. I was told it was what I ordered, then when I got home it was the wrong one. After discussion I get the right thing. A pity.

If you can tolerate this attitude, come here. The ghost guy who comes behind me will be served first. When I ask questions, he looks disdainful. That's it.

We visited this restaurant often because the food was always quite good. However, the ambience leaves a lot to be desired and the tables and floor are often sticky, raising questions about hygiene, although we haven't had any health problems so far. An older lady has been working there for about a year (maybe the boss, because she acts like the boss). She was always unfriendly, but the delicious food always attracted us. Today, however, it was the limit: she shouted at us just because we asked if a certain dish was still available. This question was important to us because we had already found out after a 15-minute wait that the dish was no longer available. Admittedly, the restaurant was busy, but she should have managed her temper better. Another day we were even shown the door because they were “coming to lunch break.” Even though we know that the restaurant closes at 3 p.m., we were there around 2:10 p.m. - enough time to eat. After much patience and many unpleasant experiences, we have now decided to avoid Pin until the service improves significantly.

This is the best restaurant with great value for money and even the best taste! I wish they opened a branch in Berlin too... Try stir-fried tripe for 15 euros.

Nice restaurant where you can definitely eat. Service is okay and the prices are fair. The portions are not too small and the taste is okay but unfortunately far too oily. They are basically all dipped in oil. If that doesn't matter to you, you can eat there without hesitation.

For eggplant love, just soak the eggplant in oil and the beans in oil. The waiter was impatient and the boss was arrogant. I originally came here for the handmade noodles, but they were gone. Will not be returning.

Formerly my regular Asian. Last time I wasn't satisfied, this time unfortunately also mediocre. Chicken dish consists of 80% vegetables, including 3 shitake mushrooms. Had stomach problems after eating. Prices were significantly increased, service was ok.

Overall four stars. Things that need improvement: The smell of oil smoke in the house is too strong. If I go to the city to report it, I can be fined in minutes. Not only was there no Wi-Fi, but there was no signal for mobile phones either, so I was completely isolated inside the restaurant. The decoration inside is like a prison style, with bare yellow walls, scary!

I can honestly tell you that their Chinese food is generally very good, but if you are a person who is used to eating spicy food, then many of their dishes are not traditional Sichuan recipes, so it is impossible to be completely satisfied, and The quality of the same dish will be inconsistent every time. Unfortunately, the fried noodles didn't taste good, the uncomfortable cold atmosphere with unappetizing smells made me feel hungry. The fried chicken was ok though. Cannot recommend the restaurant. They used to be far better!!

Absolutely the best Chinese traditional & internationally popular Cousine

I have a bad attitude towards Chinese people. I’m not the only one who thinks so. I asked for wifi but didn’t ask for it. My face smelled weird when I ordered food. I’m used to having too little Chinese food in Freiburg.

The food is OK, but I think it's just because there are so few Chinese restaurant in Freiburg so that people think it's OK. The portion size just doesn't match the price! But the most important thing is the attitude of their Chinese server(waitresses, not the young one), she always comes off as mean and rude, which will be the most important reason why I will never go to this restaurant again!

Delicious! Authentic Chinese cuisine says my girlfriend :) I've never eaten Chinese before and found it very tasty. I can highly recommend the cauliflower with pork and the beef with pepper👌

Very good Chinese cook, the dishes are excellent.

Personally, I really liked the food, very nice menu selection and very tasty. The service is ok, but when it's busy you need a little patience. Very friendly. The ambience is actually close to what you would actually see in China, good authentic but different than you might expect. Ratio moderately fair prices. It is still a place in Freiburg where you should have eaten. My second visit there and will definitely come more times, definitely a recommendation.

Five people ordered seven dishes, each dish was very authentic, and we ate them all! Especially the pot-baked pork, the meat is juicy and crispy, with a good balance of sweet and sour, a delicious taste that I miss! Another highly recommended dish is the cold shredded ear ears. The soft ear shreds are paired with refreshing and crispy yellow light, and are topped with a bright red sauce. One bite after another, delicious! Garlic baby cabbage, you can taste the sweetness of green vegetables, it is worth recommending! The only thing I think is that the boiled beef is okay. The beef is soft and tender. It is paired with the combination of green pepper and bell pepper. Maybe the green pepper taste is too overwhelming and it doesn't go well with it. It will be even more delicious if it is simply served with bean sprouts! The food at this place is undeniably great, but prepare yourself for an excruciating experience with the staff and service. I waited for an entire hour just to place an order because the staff neglected us until I approached the front. This level of incompetence is utterly unacceptable. Owner, wake up and fix this! Fresh, tasty food at a fair price! With an unusually authentic selection. It's easy to ignore the rest. Ambience with the charm of a “Beijing backyard”, Glass for the drink must be requested separately, otherwise only bottles and cans, Service hectic but tried hard. I once worked in China, I really love this cuisine and China. Thank you for taking me back to that time. Delicious cuisine, large portions, pleasant staff. We ordered No. 41, 94 . The only thing I would like to add is a photo of the food on the menu for an easier choice. ❤️

This restaurant shouldn't have any seating because no one is being served. We waited 25 minutes. The waitresses saw us 5 times and made eye contact and we still weren't served. People who came after us were served straight away, but we were left behind. No recommendation If you want to go out to eat and don't want to wait, please go to Thai-chi

Das beste asiatische to-go essen das ich in den letzten Jahren erlebt habe. Der Laden ist nicht besonders einladend, die Servicekräfte verstehen nicht immer direkt was man fragt oder meint, aber das gehört für mich zu so einem kleinen Imbiss dazu. Zusammengefasst: Essen perfekt, der Rest ausbaufähig. Empfehlung: Aufjedenfall probieren

If you want authentic Chinese food, this is the place to go. I can wholeheartedly recommend the pork belly. The only thing is that the spiciness rating on the menu is nonsense. Nothing here is truly spicy, so bring your own chilli sauce ;) Also: Order at the front if you want to avoid wait times. And the ambience is, as others have mentioned, truly lacklustre. But the food is so good, you won't care.

Sehr ungewöhnlicher Laden. Das Essen ist absolute Spitzenklasse, jedoch ist alles drum herum eine Katastrophe, zumindest in meiner Erfahrung. Bedienungskräfte teilweise unfreundlich (teilweise aber auch sehr nett), überhaupt bedient zu werden hat eine halbe ewigkeit gedauert, und der Laden ist potthässlich. Wirklich schade, weil das Essen super super stark und auch Preislich fair ist.

It was one of my best restaurants in this region. Unfortunately, since they changed a new waitress, the service is getting terrible. She is always in a hurry, rude and sees unhappy. We have to pay for the food and at the mean time, endure her bad temper. The food is also not as good as before. Some dishes which should be “juicy”, now taste quite “dry”. Some dishes they don’t use right materials. I don’t know what happens to them.

Malgré un petit déjeuné à base de café latté et nans fromage, nous sommes arrivé·es ici affamé·es. Mais nous nous sommes retrouvés tellement bien servis et nourris que le ventre plein, l’énergie fut retrouvée. Si bien que nous nous sommes disputé·es sur l’utilité de l’action individuelle. Néanmoins faire attention, si ce restaurant sert de délicieux repas, ces derniers ne prodiguent pas forcément des capacités d’argumentation. En tout cas vous êtes certains de ressortir le ventre plein et satisfait de votre plat.

Sitzplätze in den hinteren, fensterlosen Räumen, Kellner schaut nur ab und zu vorbei. Große Auswahl an Gerichten, nicht die typischen Standard-Asia-Gerichte. Meine Bestellung (Auberginen, Stangenbohnen und Bauchspeck) war zwar gut gebraten und gewürzt, aber sehr ölig (so wie die Speisekarte).

Gutes und authentisches Essen! Eine gute Option wenn man im Bib lernt. Service ist manchmal sehr kalt und schnell und die Innenrichtung etwas mangelhaft. Aber im großen und ganzen finde ich es immer noch toll hier!

I had this place on my list for a long time as pictures show they do also traditional dishes that are hard to come by in Germany. Mainly I was excited because of two noodle dishes that I was so looking forward to. Unfortunately when ordering I was told that they took these dishes off the menu because the respective chef went into retirement. I was disappointed and quickly choose a few other dishes, a bit in a hurry. We had the pork belly in a reddish soy kinda sauce, which was good and soft. Since we were only two people the fat became a bit challenging after a while. We had the sour spicy bamboo shoot as well. Which was nicely crunchy, with a zesty touch. Quite oily though. And the Kung Pao/Gongbao chicken which was my favorite of the the, oily too but really nice. I left a bit indifferent, which was more related to the end-of-life of those noodle dishes than to the actual food that we had. I might come back to try more and make more conscious decisions about the dishes. Service war efficient and friendly enough, ambience is nothing to rave about. Functional and takes full usage of the small space.

Sehr empfehlenswert! Die Gerichte schmecken wie daheim. Portionen sind dem Preis angemessen. War mit einem Kollegen zum Abendessen dort. Vier Gerichte bestellt und es war eigentlich deutlich zu viel. Besonders gut war das Lamm mit Kreuzkümmel.

I love Mara Xiang Guo here. The atmosphere of this restaurant is not sophisticated, but you can eat a good meal at a cheap price. Authentic Chinese cuisine. I don't live in Freiburg anymore, so I can't go there often, but if I go back to Freiburg, this is the first restaurant I want to go to.

Das Essen hat uns wirklich gut geschmeckt. Auf die Qualität deutete auch die Vielzahl chinesischer Gäste hin. Wegen des Ambientes geht man dort nicht hin. Ärgerlich war, dass die kleinen Portionen mancher Gerichte, die in der Karte geführt werden, laut Aussage des Service nur zum Mitnehmen erhältlich sind. Warum man folglich einem Kindergartenkind mangels Willen des Restaurants eine Erwachsenenportion bestellen muss, erschließt sich nicht. 0 Punkte für den Service.
