My most favorite seafood restaurant in Flensburg. - Authentic seafood dishes - Friendly staff - Very good location, close to Hafenspitze We will come here again soon. And we would recommend to visit here.

We celebrated our first marriage anniversary here. The goat cheese appetizer and the main dish Miesmuscheln were good enough. My husband had a soup and a fish. They were also very good. I like fish better indeed.

I ended up there purely by chance while strolling by the harbor. I was alone and got a seat on the covered outdoor terrace. The service women were very friendly and nice. The food was very tasty and the quantity was very sufficient. With a view of the harbor, I had a lovely and delicious time there. I would love to come back. Ilona R. From Münster 👍🥰

The dishes were all delicious and nicely presented on the plate in sufficient quantities. The service needs improvement. We waited over an hour for the food. Unfortunately, even after that, service didn't come by too often. It was only possible to get a table outside on the terrace. Only then later on the outside heating radiators were switched off or their output was reduced. So it just got too cold to enjoy the ambience. It's a shame, but the company definitely has potential for improvement.

Very nice restaurant, there were 10 of us there, all the menus looked inviting, were very tasty and well seasoned. The portions were good. The staff was professional and friendly. Starters and dessert are also recommended. The prices were all fair and reasonable. Overall, the restaurant is highly recommended.

Completely unique experience, like stepping into the last century, with old antique turtle shields, crocodiles, etc. Proper plaice with various garnishes. The plaice were large, but too thin for my taste, therefore only four stars and fried a little too hard.. Definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant is probably the tip in Flensburg! It's certainly not the cheapest, but you really get quality for the price! But from the front, the restaurant is very centrally located and easy to reach, right on the water. The service is really attentive and always present but without being or seeming intrusive. Really good!! For food: really fantastic!! From the starters to the main courses to the desserts, everything I've eaten there so far has been really, really good! Everyone who was there with me had the same experience. The fish dishes in particular are really excellent! What I also thought was great was that there were home-made potatoes with the fish in a normal quantity and not in too high a quantity in order to supply as much as possible. However, with the note that potatoes will be added at no extra charge. Which worked really well. Very progressive in my opinion! When it comes to the ambience, I can say that some people would probably say that it is special. However, the ambience is totally authentic if you know how long this restaurant has been around and what the history is. I like it! Conclusion: Anyone who likes to spend a euro more for fantastic food has come to the right place and certainly can't go wrong!

Extremely arrogant service. Food was cold and had a wierd taste of soap. And VERY expensive... We tried to tell the waiter, but ooh no, we were wrong and they were "gods", so we were dumb... Will NEVER go there again...

DING DONG we have a 5* Champion. - Make reservation and enjoy the cozy atmosphere in this neighborhood gem. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, definitely the best dining experience in town for us. - I ordered the Labskaus, a local delicacy, and man....was that gross. Not that they made it wrong, I think that dish is just not my taste at all. The fish soup made up for it though. All in all we paid $160 for two including drinks and tip. Not cheap, but we found it to be OK for what they offered.

Wir haben uns für Vorspreise und Hauptgericht entschieden. Die Flensburger Fischsuppe war sehr lecker, aber leider nicht richtig heiß. Der Flensburger Fischteller war sehr gut und ist zu empfehlen. Die Scholle hatte Aufwärtspotential. Da die Schollen kleiner waren, gab es zwei, was fair und ok ist. Es fehlten hier aber Fleischstücke (man sah nur Gräten) und die Unterseite war nicht gut zubereitet, so dass man nicht alles essen mochte. Beide Hauptgerichte waren zum satt werden definitiv groß genug.

We got a table for 8 people at relatively short notice and despite the high number of guests, the service, friendliness and quality of the food were excellent. (The only point of criticism was that a supplement on the online menu was different than on the menu on site - but this should have been corrected by now and was still delicious.)

What a shame, this could have been perfect. We read the menu up before, so we were sure there was several dishes that sounded very tempting. As we were staying in the very near hotel for 4 days this was looking to be perfect. They had a que, but they managed to get us a nice table. We planned to make a reservation for next day. First, we ordered a pretty cheap wine, but was served å quite expensive one( in comparison) When we made them aware, they only made us pay for the originally ordered one. We hope it was not made deliberate becouse we were foreigners. Mind you, the wine was so good that we agreed to order this the next day. But then the fish arrived after only about 5 minutes. That made us suspicious. The Scholle looked nice but me being an old kitchen lady, I would bet that this fish had been fried in front and then re-heated ( damped or in micro) before serving. No taste and no resilience in the flesh. The fish was soft and not throuhgoutly cooked. What a shame! This fish would have taken them 4 minutes to fry into a crisp and delicious sholle. Are we willing to take the chance for another visit? We do not think so. The restaurant was very nice. The tables were set very nice in nice colours. The atmoshphere was very nice and the service was nice and friendly. I looked like it was runned by spanish people and they should have knowned better that serving fish that was really no good. A great pitty for a very nice place.

Had dinner there yesterday and got a table without a reservation. Normally I would have given more stars because the food was good. However, this morning I noticed on my bank statement that the non-German-speaking waiter had added an extra €60 tip. Invoice €228 deducted €288. It's just stupid that we also left a tip on site. Definitely the last visit for me, cheating on customers is a no-go for me. SHAME

The northern Bouillabaisse was tasty and well cooked, I also liked their rumtopf dessert that was not too strong in alcool like I was afraid it would. Reactive and polite waiters, good food, a good experience.

Unfortunately the food didn't have the taste it deserved, so only 3 stars. Service was polite and attentive. Ambience is getting old. Unfortunately the menu was quite sticky and also a bit dirty. There is still room for improvement.

We got a table without a reservation. It was well attended, the staff were on their toes but still friendly. The food, fish and chips and a fish platter, were delicious. Only the fries were not of good quality and were probably in the deep fryer for too long. The children had ordered children's menus, schnitzel and fish fingers, with too many fries. All in all it was a nice visit!

Nice authentic setting, lots of stuff from sailors and explorers all over the world. Served quickly and had a very tasty meal. Great food, Quick service.

Very friendly and price performance perfect

Everything is perfect... definitely try the crab soup. The baguette came a little late, but that in no way spoiled the meal. The service was always attentive and in sight. The daughter also likes to help out, that's charming. The menu is varied and really focuses on fish, but there is also something for meat lovers - but we didn't try that. All in all a successful evening. Thanks!

Excellent food, a little more expensive but worth it

I was born in Flensburg but left many years ago and my family wanted to see where I grew up. So we planned a family trip. My wife and I, along with our children and grandchildren, needed a place to have a family dinner. I approached the waiters as they arranged a family dinner for 17 people, and it went off without a hitch. When we arrived the tables were set with flowers, the food was amazing and the staff were very professional. Compared to US prices the whole affair was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them.

Highly recommended, only the cars driving past disturb the ambience.

Museum-like maritime ambience, excellent food and friendly service, especially from Alma(!)

Ein nettes Restaurant mit Atmosphäre, die vor allem durch das alte Gebäude und die maritime Einrichtung vermittelt wird. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und serviceorientiert. Doch nun das Aber: Die Speisen waren maximal durchschnittlich. Der Labskaus zum Beispiel schmeckte eher fade. Auch bei den anderen Gerichten fehlte es an Geschmack. Für dieses Niveau war es schlicht zu teuer. Deshalb Gesamtnote gerade noch befriedigend. Ich jedenfalls werde hier nicht mehr einkehren. Ob es am neuen (hochwassersicheren) Standort auf der ggü. liegenden Seite des Hafens besser wird? Ich glaube eher nicht, denn es lag ja nicht an der Lokation.

Vi fik fladfisk (schrollen). Jeg har aldrig set tyndere fisk, og det kød, der trods alt var, var uden struktur og smag. Fisk af denne kvalitet bør ikke serveres for betalende gæster. Udover det, var tingene i orden - lige bortset fra, at servitricen blev sur, da vi høfligt fremførte vores klage.

Eines der Traditionslokale in Flensburg, das wohl von seinem ehemals hervorragenden Ruf lebt. Vereinigen Jahren war ich noch begeistert, aber das Schild "Feinschmecker: eines der besten Fischlokale Deutschlands" ist weit über 10 Jahre alt und sollte zu Denken geben. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und norddeutsch heimelig, die Speisen sind es nicht: Die "Büsumer Krabbensuppe" ist eine nach nichts schmeckende Pampe in die sich drei Krabben verirrt haben. Die mit Preisen ausgezeichnete "Scholle in Eihülle auf Wirsing" war so fett von Sahne und Creme, dass ich die Hälfte stehen lassen musste. Auch Fleischgerichte gibt es: Das "Wiener Schnitzel" ist ein viel zu dickes Stück Fleisch, von welliger Panade keine Spur. Dazu werden grüne Erbsen ?? und Sauce Holondaise??? gereicht. Auf die wiederholte Frage des sehr freundlichen Personals "Hat es geschmeckt, war alles gut " habe ich lieber nicht geantwortet. Mir ist völlig schleierhaft, wieso dieses REstaurant -angeblich- jeden Tag ausgebucht ist. Der alten Zeiten wegen?? Es wird bessere und modernere Küche in Flensburg geben, ich werde sie bei meinem nächsten Besuch hoffentlich finden .Das Restaurant des Hotels "Hafen Flensburg" sieht vielversprechend aus.

I had really high expectations based on many positive reviews, but the food was pretty bland. The salmon tasted too salty/sour and the mussels were partly gristly and simply too salty, I needed a neutralizing drink with every bite. Unfortunately, the lobster wasn't as tasty as I usually know it, the meat wasn't buttery soft and the taste was very mild, unfortunately there were only 2-3 bites in the lobster. I think the vegetables with the fish were frozen and just didn't fit, everything was very salty, comparable to pure Maggie sauce. Overall, the food wasn't harmonious; the combination of sauce/vegetables and fish didn't work. The food was already lukewarm even though we were the first guests for 30 minutes. We had asked for a side dish to be put on the side because of allergies, then we got a "why are you ordering it?" we were told that it would be done but it wasn't done. Since we were the only order in 30 minutes and there were no other guests there, I thought that was borderline. For the money for 2 people I would have expected the quality to be better.

The food was simply excellent, the plaice fried to perfection. The service 1a.

What can I say? Very good food, especially good steak, and good desserts! The service is great; All of the servers have their own character and quirk! The little girl on her summer break, the talkative Italian, the friendly German woman... The decor is interesting, too. It does look somewhat thrown together, but the big real tortoise shell earns it the full 5 stars. Wait time was as usual, and the pricing is expected for Germany. Overpriced, but it's not the restaurant's fault. Besides, the food could just about make up for it. Not a white cloth restaurant, but would definitely deserve it. I forgot to take a photo of the crème brûlée, even! I apologize for the half eaten photo.

The good things were: - The interior - The Quick service - The veal schnitzel, peas and roasted potatoes - The starter with fresh cheese (very delicious) - the white wine of the house The bad things were: - The soup of crab (tasted like sour cream with nothing else added) - The sauce they call “bearnaise” served with the veal schnitzel seemed to be sour cream (again) with a little herbs (no trace/flavour of the traditional recipe with egg yolk, 0il, vinegar or tarragon). - When we asked if it was possible to get / buy an alternative sauce, we were told that this was the only sauce they had in the restaurant. - The fried plaice (overcooked in the fryer with oil, not fried the usual way in the pan with butter) Final comment: Go to the restaurant next door instead

To end our wonderful day trip to Flensburg, we stopped here. This restaurant is really recommended and very conscious of tradition. The food was excellent and the waiter was very attentive.

Since I only sat on the terrace, I can't say much about the ambience Otherwise I had Labskaus, it was really good. When I paid I said that we would wait until the rain had stopped and was just told that the table was needed

Unfortunately, at least for us, the food wasn't that good. There was fish on or with an Asian selection of vegetables. That didn't fit the typical northern German atmosphere.

The food was served very quickly and was super tasty. We had the fish platter and the Hallig bread, which everyone should try! The service was extremely friendly. We will definitely come back when we are in Flensburg.

We stumbled across this place purely by chance on our trip to Nech Denmark and were so impressed that we planned to stop here again on the way back so we could enjoy more samples of the fine menu. If fish, then here 🙏 The fish soup is a maritime dream! The plaice is a reasonable size, i.e. fully grown, and is actually enough for 2 people. Perfectly summed up, And the Rumtopf is an absolute must, 100% recommendation. Important: reserve in good time. The restaurant is practically always full.

It takes a lot to pamper ourselves with culinary delights. Here we found what we were looking for again! Excellent fish dishes, excellent service! We enjoyed the fish soup, the Flensburg fish platter and, to round it off, a rum pot. We can only recommend this restaurant if you are in Flensburg! An absolute recommendation 👍🏻👍🏻 Thank you for still having such gastronomic highlights! We made reservations here again on our return trip and are looking forward to seeing you again.

Best fish, best service! A must to go in Flensburg

Were there for the fourth time and unfortunately this time we were very disappointed. The service was very inattentive and the food was disappointing the lobster was frozen and more rubbery than tender. The Finkenwerder-style plaice was covered in lots of bacon, which smelled strongly of sow and was obviously no longer good. The Wiener Schnitzel had a wobbly, greasy breading and the peas were very hard. Unfortunately, the restaurant is becoming a tourist trap. Very unfortunate.

Here you have to eat the fish platter for €28 (May '24). Piet is well organized because we only waited 15 minutes for the food, but the fish was still fried to perfection. Reservation is recommended.

Piet Henningsen is a quaint and cozy fish restaurant which is located directly at the harbor, is easy to reach and always seems to be fully booked. It is therefore recommended to reserve in advance or to be there early to secure a place.

Were at the "Piet Henningsen" for the first time and can say, absolutely recommended!!! At first glance the prices seem to be a bit higher, but when you get the food and drinks you ordered you'll know why. Flensburg fish plate with three different types of fish... simply incredibly tasty and really good in terms of price/performance ratio. Hopefully we'll be back in Flensburg soon, then we'll definitely come back here. Thank you for the lovely evening Piet Henningsen... always happy again!!!

Despite all the adulation, it is no longer the old, well-kept pub with a warm welcome! The service is average, but definitely not warm. According to the staff, the decorations are only dusted once a year. The food: The 100-year-recipe soup was quite okay. The variety of fish was missing. The rennet was very over-seasoned and my Müllerin plaice was watery and very light. According to the card it should be 500 g. The 2 bites of cucumber salad didn't make the limp plaice, which was drowning in fat, any crispier. Unfortunately, it was an expensive dinner that I would have served better at home. Price-performance: thumbs all the way down.

Der er rigtig hyggeligt og restauranten er velbesøgt. Det kan undre, for maden er gennemsnitlig, nærmest kaffeteriamad. Jeg fik en wienerschnitzel. Stort stykke kalvekød serveret med to skiver citron og en lille klat syltetøj. Hvor var den revne peberrod og de benfri sild? Ærterne var tørre og bernaise sovs var underlig hvid og med sær konsistens - nærmest som en estragondip. Mine medspisere fik fisk. Den ene klagede over at den dyre fisketallerken var overhældt med nogle syrlige grøntsager, der overdøvede fiskesmagen. Den andens ret smagte ikke af noget som helst. Tre stjerner for interiør, høflig betjening og god romtopf til dessert.

At the harbor you will find this gastronomic pearl. With a fantastic view and a versatile menu of local produce, Havneperlen is the ideal choice. The staff are welcoming and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Vi var på messe i en nærheden og fandt denne dejlige restaurant da vi gik på havnepromenaden. Vi kom ind i en fyldt restaurant, men fik en venlig velkomst af en kvindelig tjener, som straks forsikrede os om, at vi kunne få et bord på 1. sal. Her var der et fint bord til os blandt andre gæster. Jeg fik fish & chips og mine to venner fik også fisk. Maden kom indenfor ca. 10 minutter og den smagte fantastisk. Til dessert fik vi Apfelstrudel mm. og det smagte også rigtig godt. Portionerne er store, så man går ikke sulten fra borde. Alt i alt en rigtig god lokal restaurant med høflig og opmærksom betjening.

Great place! Super tasty food and great interiors!

The place has a really nice atmosphere, and an excellent service, but the food was very mediocre. Had the crab soup which was lukewarm with cold prawns. The soup tasted ok, but I couldn't actually taste whether it was crab soup or pumpkin soup. The main course was whole fried fish with potatoes, which was a somewhat better experience. But price and quality are not quite connected, unfortunately.

With Piet Henningsen I was with the most beautiful, strongest man, who has the highest potential to become the father of my children. Unfortunately he lives in the deep south, but the time we shared here in the north was topped off by eating Piet. Love the kitchen, but much more to my dream man in the south.

Very nice restaurant with a maritime flair. Good range of culinary delights. Whether meat, fish or even for the vegetarian palate. All of our orders were a pleasure. RATING: RECOMMENDED!!!

We ate here because it was repeatedly recommended to us as a great fish restaurant. Unfortunately it didn't convince us. The service was OK. You have to like the atmosphere, we found it overloaded and rather intimidating. The food was OK.
