I was in the restaurant today and ate this pasta there seven times, but today I came again and it was terrible, both the service and the taste and quality of the food. It gets worse every time and today we have reached the limit, I don't recommend it.

Very tasty Neapolitan pizza! 🍕🔥 Really good pizzeria with authentic Napoli flair! The dough is nice and airy, slightly burnt on the edges (as it should be!) and simply perfect. The ingredients are super fresh, whether fior di latte, truffles or grilled aubergines - it simply tastes like Italy. The pizza oven in the open kitchen gives the whole thing even more charm, you can see directly how the pizzas are freshly made. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is cozy and typically Italian. Absolute recommendation for anyone who likes real Neapolitan pizza! Definitely come back. 😊

By far the best Italian restaurant we have eaten at and we have been to many restaurants at home and abroad. My husband and I chose linguine with truffles and beef carpaccio. I also had a side salad. The restaurant was full to capacity at 6 p.m. and you can imagine why that is. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend Piazza Sorrento.

The pizzas were delicious! But we expected more from the tomato sauce - it didn't come across much. The base of one pizza (1/5) was burnt. You could taste that. The waitress was very friendly and brought us meloncello at the end.

The pizza is perfect, just like in Italy. Unfortunately, at peak times the shop is so full and therefore noisy that you have to shout at the table. If you don't come in winter, the outdoor area is open and then everything is great👍🏼

In short: WOW!!! The food is absolutely world class! We tried the pizza and tagliatelle and absolutely loved it! Without a doubt, the best pizza we have ever tried (and I have tried a few)... This restaurant is an asset to Krefeld! Keep it up, we'll be back.

Vitello Tonnato was very good. Pizza base became soft very quickly. Pizza crust crispy and delicious. Unfortunately, champions were made of can/glass.

This is not how gastronomy should be! A reservation that was booked 14 days in advance and then no longer has any meaning in a completely overcrowded restaurant has nothing to do with customer friendliness. That's it then!

Very cozy and the food was very good. The waitress often asked if we needed anything else and if everything was OK. After a while I felt like I was on vacation. Price performance is also okay. Highly recommended.

We were here tonight, also because I had read good reviews. We should have discussed it, but luckily they helped us find a spot. It is super cozy and very busy. Nice and friendly staff who regularly comes to check if everything is as desired! And then the menu came, in a kind of newspaper, a very nice idea, with more than enough choice. The food……the pizza…. Beforehand we got a sandwich with aoili and olives, delicious! And then the pizzas arrived… it looked like a work of art and our mouths were watering. The taste was really amazing…. So fluffy and airy, my crust was filled, wonderful fresh ingredients and the taste……. I'm a real pizza fan, tomorrow they wake me up for it, but this was really, truly, the tastiest pizza I have ever eaten. And we agreed! If we are ever in Krefeld again, we will definitely come back! And we took a doggy bag with us for later because it wasn't possible to eat it in one sitting! I can only say…. Have a delicious meal here and enjoy 🎄🎄🎄

We went there for the second time and didn't make a reservation and actually just wanted to order something to take away, so we were able to eat there and a table was quickly organized. Super lovely staff, attentive and super fast. The best pizza in our opinion 🤩everything is great.

For me, Piazza Sorrento is a solid number when it comes to unusual pizzas!! It is understandable why the award for the best pizza was won. The service was also very friendly and accommodating, as it should be in the restaurant!

The pizza is okay ;-) I would stay away from the bowls A waiter who apparently has this say is really unfriendly and you get the feeling that he doesn't want to have guests. He seems to be related to the owner!? Absolute tip for pizza fans in Krefeld, we ordered and then picked up the order. All nine pizzas were extremely good and tasty. The boss bought us a beer while we waited and the dining room was very well filled with satisfied and smiling customers. Very cozy and has now moved to the top of our restaurant list for Krefeld. Bravisimo 👍😀

Mega friendly service, great atmosphere! Here you feel like you are in Italy. This is a family business where Italian is spoken among each other. The food is outstanding! I only eat Neapolitan pizzas now. We have already been to one that took 50th place in the Europe-wide competition (Baden-Württemberg). Sorrento finished 29th last year. And what can I say: simply great pizza. Thank you, thank you for this experience. 🥰 Amore

Kitchen and service really absolutely top. The clear view into the kitchen makes it even more beautiful. It's a bit tight, but you can easily get over that given the quality.

Location very uncomfortable even though the restaurant is empty you are seated in a bad place. The restaurant no longer accepts vouchers longer than one year. There is no limit on the voucher itself. Impossible!!!

What arrogance, after work I went from Solingen to Piazza Sorrento with my daughter and somehow got stuck through the construction site shortly before my destination and arrived at 10:10 p.m. We politely went in and asked if we could sit down. The young owner shouts from far away, very arrogantly....We're closed....I said it wasn't 11 p.m. yet and I also just wanted to eat a pizza and we would definitely have made it to 11 p.m. even though it was still in restaurant there were still a lot of people there. The owner shouts very loudly through the restaurant to the pizza Becker, can we make 2 more pizzas...the answer is annoyed, only to take away. No thanks and we left. I don't drive 50km there and 50km back just to eat somewhere. I'm disappointed and I won't be visiting this place again, even though we've been there a few times over the years. No thanks to arrogance

Very, very good pizza, but the place has too many seats for me. Too full and then not enough waiters. Long waiting times until the pizza comes or sometimes a waiter has time to ask if you would like something else to drink. But I would come back for the pizza :-)

Great food, but drinks could be asked for more often. The seating is rather tight and it is relatively loud.

Cheeky service and hair in the food

The staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is very nice. However, the tables are extremely close together. The pizza was lukewarm. The ingredients that go on the pizza after baking (burrata + tomatoes) came from the fridge and were ice cold. The pizza dough was very tough and floppy. Maybe we had a bad day. You definitely won't win a prize for the pizza. All 4 guests at our table were disappointed. The olives in the starter were totally watery and the desserts were industrially imported from Italy by “bindi” instead of freshly prepared. Here you rely on an old European champion title as a pizza baker, but the quality takes a back seat due to the high number of guests.

The Piazza Sorrento is certainly one of the best pizzerias in North Rhine-Westphalia. The Neapolitan dough recipe has been perfected over the years and the pizzas are good almost everywhere in Campania. The standard is right, the starters are excellent and the service is beyond reproach. The wine selection is also very good. All in all, one of our favorite restaurants in North Rhine-Westphalia. We always enjoy coming here.

Fantastic restaurant, beautiful furniture, beautiful lamps and wall decorations. Music was also authentic and not too loud. Very friendly service. The menu choice was very large, real original dishes, not standard. Delicious red wine and good capuccino. After paying we received a free drink from the company, a choice of various liqueurs, we choose limoncello. Very pleasant and culinary experience in Krefeld!

The European Champion Pizza of 2019!!! Of course this invites you to try it and I wasn't disappointed. Very nice thin pizza, very fluffy and yet crispy! Good topping, the mozzarella rounds it off perfectly. The bread with aioli dip was also very good. Price/performance = Satisfactory. Service was diligent, attentive & quick. Ambiance: Yes, it depends on where you sit. But overall it's actually okay, even in terms of presentation, everything seems very harmonious. Very good 4 stars from me!

I was told that this restaurant was simply a miracle. The pizza was really good. Spaghetti is terrible. Disgusting. I don't understand what we paid for. For the experience. Carbonara with almost no parmesan and large pieces of fat. Spaghetti with shrimp - 2 shrimp were unpeeled. a ton of flour with nothing. Where in Italy does such interesting cooking take place? I ate better food at a gas station. Never come here again...

Very good Italian cuisine with authentic flair

A pearl in downtown Krefeld. Relatively inconspicuous from the outside but a piece of Napoli from the inside. As a starter, olives and bread with dip and the pizzas are really to die for. Anyone who appreciates real Neapolitan pizza is really in the right place here!

We were there at lunchtime on Friday last week and it wasn't crowded. But the waiter who came to meet us and assigned us a seat seemed very annoyed. After we ordered and our pizzas arrived we were a little disappointed. The dough on the pizza crust was fluffy and okay, but towards the middle it was a pure mess. Very thin, soggy dough. In addition, two pieces of pizza were very burnt at the bottom and were not edible. The second waiter who did the billing was again very nice.

The service is prompt, professional and attentive and the food is great. Was very happy to have found my way there by chance.

On our business trip to Krefeld we were looking for a nice place to have dinner and accidentally stumbled upon this charming pizzeria. We were early and the restaurant was empty - not a single person was sitting at the tables. Usually not a good sign. Nevertheless, we decided to sit inside and take in the atmosphere. The menu surprised us at first: it came in the form of a newspaper, which was a bit overwhelming for us at first. But after a brief moment of orientation, we actually found it original and charming. The waiters greeted us warmly and were consistently friendly and attentive. As a welcome we were served a little baguette with dip and olives. The baguette was still warm, the dip was incredibly tasty – a real highlight! I didn't personally try the olives, but my colleagues thought they were excellent. While ordering, we noticed an advertisement that announced that the best pizza maker in Europe worked here. We had to smile and thought it was a bold claim. But when the pizza was finally in front of us, we had to admit that this statement was by no means an exaggeration. It was honestly the best pizza I've had in years. We had ordered simple pizzas, the selection on the menu was very limited, only a few varieties - something you are not used to from run-of-the-mill pizzerias. The ingredients were fresh, the dough was perfect and the combinations were simple but incredibly tasty. It turns out that sometimes less is more. Unfortunately, I was only in Krefeld on a business trip. If this weren't the case, I would certainly be a frequent guest at this wonderful pizzeria. In terms of price, everything was also in the green. I would have paid far more for this quality in other restaurants and even with some delivery services. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this pizzeria to everyone.

I would have liked olive oil, pepper mill and salt to be standard on every table. The portions are generous, the pizzas are great, the pasta dish could have used garlic.

Unfortunately I can't rate the food because after 40 minutes our order still hadn't been taken. We then left, which no one noticed. It's a shame, I was looking forward to a nice evening

It's very great and very tasty. I was here with my family (12 people) the food only came after about 30 minutes but I think that's okay, I think the 300gram rump steak tasted very good and I recommend this place.

I loved the restaurant because it was always delicious. But last time I ordered a fish platter and one type of fish was definitely spoiled. I had fish poisoning. I was very sick. !!! I find the answer cheeky. I'm not a fake, I'm an adult and I can distinguish a normal fish from a spoiled one. It was absolutely inedible and I left the piece on the plate. My mistake for not complaining straight away. I'm really annoyed.

I'm amazed at how unlucky we obviously had on our two visits. Unfortunately, no dish (meat/pasta/pizza) could satisfy us. The “master pizza” was the absolute crowning glory. Whatever kind of cream they use there was practically inedible to us. This was topped with an unfriendly lady serving (the other employees were very nice!!!) and an unbearable volume. Unfortunately it's not for us! !!!This answer from the owner now completes the picture!!!

Sorrento is the perfect place to go for great Italian food - the black tortellini in particular are to die for. Highly Recommended! Especially on weekends it's usually a bit louder and busier - if you don't like that, you should probably stop by during the week.

It was our first visit with my girlfriend shortly before a theater performance in the Seidenweberhaus, which is within walking distance. A young lady served us, she was incredibly friendly. On your recommendation, we bought 2 pasta and a small pizza. We were also very satisfied and happy with the selection. We were there during Lent, the waitress guessed it straight away and also brought us dates. That was very thoughtful and remains a very nice experience. We can therefore only recommend it and come again ourselves. Probably very unimportant for many, but the plates and glasses look wonderful.
