I was told that this restaurant was simply a miracle. The pizza was really good. Spaghetti is terrible. Disgusting. I don't understand what we paid for. For the experience. Carbonara with almost no parmesan and large pieces of fat. Spaghetti with shrimp - 2 shrimp were unpeeled. a ton of flour with nothing. Where in Italy does such interesting cooking take place? I ate better food at a gas station. Never come here again...

Very good Italian cuisine with authentic flair

A pearl in downtown Krefeld. Relatively inconspicuous from the outside but a piece of Napoli from the inside. As a starter, olives and bread with dip and the pizzas are really to die for. Anyone who appreciates real Neapolitan pizza is really in the right place here!

We were there at lunchtime on Friday last week and it wasn't crowded. But the waiter who came to meet us and assigned us a seat seemed very annoyed. After we ordered and our pizzas arrived we were a little disappointed. The dough on the pizza crust was fluffy and okay, but towards the middle it was a pure mess. Very thin, soggy dough. In addition, two pieces of pizza were very burnt at the bottom and were not edible. The second waiter who did the billing was again very nice.

The service is prompt, professional and attentive and the food is great. Was very happy to have found my way there by chance.

Pizza was tasty in itself, but a bit soggy from the oil and therefore relatively greasy. Unfortunately, the service was a bit clumsy and the cutlery was also dirty.

Birthday, nothing planned. If you go through the city with 7 people on a Thursday evening and see where you can get a place... And you're desperate, right. If the lady of the house is at the door, asks if the gentleman who is smoking is also part of our small group of rubble. On our business trip to Krefeld we were looking for a nice place to have dinner and accidentally stumbled upon this charming pizzeria. We were early and the restaurant was empty - not a single person was sitting at the tables. Usually not a good sign. Nevertheless, we decided to sit inside and take in the atmosphere. The menu surprised us at first: it came in the form of a newspaper, which was a bit overwhelming for us at first. But after a brief moment of orientation, we actually found it original and charming. The waiters greeted us warmly and were consistently friendly and attentive. As a welcome we were served a little baguette with dip and olives. The baguette was still warm, the dip was incredibly tasty – a real highlight! I didn't personally try the olives, but my colleagues thought they were excellent. While ordering, we noticed an advertisement that announced that the best pizza maker in Europe worked here. We had to smile and thought it was a bold claim. But when the pizza was finally in front of us, we had to admit that this statement was by no means an exaggeration. It was honestly the best pizza I've had in years. We had ordered simple pizzas, the selection on the menu was very limited, only a few varieties - something you are not used to from run-of-the-mill pizzerias. The ingredients were fresh, the dough was perfect and the combinations were simple but incredibly tasty. It turns out that sometimes less is more. Unfortunately, I was only in Krefeld on a business trip. If this weren't the case, I would certainly be a frequent guest at this wonderful pizzeria. In terms of price, everything was also in the green. I would have paid far more for this quality in other restaurants and even with some delivery services. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this pizzeria to everyone.

I would have liked olive oil, pepper mill and salt to be standard on every table. The portions are generous, the pizzas are great, the pasta dish could have used garlic.

Unfortunately I can't rate the food because after 40 minutes our order still hadn't been taken. We then left, which no one noticed. It's a shame, I was looking forward to a nice evening

It's very great and very tasty. I was here with my family (12 people) the food only came after about 30 minutes but I think that's okay, I think the 300gram rump steak tasted very good and I recommend this place.

The pizza is delicious, the pasta with salmon is my favorite. Always good and the portions are always the same. The service is always nice and I have never experienced anything negative there. Definitely the best pizzeria in the city center.

I loved the restaurant because it was always delicious. But last time I ordered a fish platter and one type of fish was definitely spoiled. I had fish poisoning. I was very sick. !!! I find the answer cheeky. I'm not a fake, I'm an adult and I can distinguish a normal fish from a spoiled one. It was absolutely inedible and I left the piece on the plate. My mistake for not complaining straight away. I'm really annoyed.

I'm still on the starter but I'll give it 5/5 stars. I've never had such a good recommendation and haven't been treated so well in a long time. I'm looking forward to the pizza!

I'm amazed at how unlucky we obviously had on our two visits. Unfortunately, no dish (meat/pasta/pizza) could satisfy us. The “master pizza” was the absolute crowning glory. Whatever kind of cream they use there was practically inedible to us. This was topped with an unfriendly lady serving (the other employees were very nice!!!) and an unbearable volume. Unfortunately it's not for us! !!!This answer from the owner now completes the picture!!!

Sorrento is the perfect place to go for great Italian food - the black tortellini in particular are to die for. Highly Recommended! Especially on weekends it's usually a bit louder and busier - if you don't like that, you should probably stop by during the week.

It was our first visit with my girlfriend shortly before a theater performance in the Seidenweberhaus, which is within walking distance. A young lady served us, she was incredibly friendly. On your recommendation, we bought 2 pasta and a small pizza. We were also very satisfied and happy with the selection. We were there during Lent, the waitress guessed it straight away and also brought us dates. That was very thoughtful and remains a very nice experience. We can therefore only recommend it and come again ourselves. Probably very unimportant for many, but the plates and glasses look wonderful.

Geht gar nicht, sowas habe ich noch nie erlebt! Als wir den Tisch für gestern Abend reserviert haben, wurde uns gesagt, dass ein Tisch für uns von 18-20 Uhr reserviert ist. Der Laden war rappenvoll. Wir haben (5 Personen) unsere Getränke bestellt, dann die Vorspeisen sowie die Hauptgerichte. Das Essen kam um 19:30. Als wir die Menükarte für das Dessert bekommen haben, kam ein junger Mann und sagte, unsere Zeit wäre um und wir sollen bitte gehen. Wir haben gesagt, dass wir gehen und wie wieder kommen, da kam die Antwort " das ist kein Problem ". Es lag nicht an uns, dass wir in den 2 Stunden nicht fertig wurden, da wir zu lange auf das Essen gewartet haben. Schade, ich habe gestern meinen Geburtstag nachgefeiert und wollte noch gerne Zabaione und Espresso bestellen. Das war absolute Frechheit uns zwingen den Tisch zu räumen. Ich empfand das als höchst unprofessionell und arrogant. Wenn die Küche nicht nachkommt, soll man evtl. 3 Stunden einplanen. Piazza Sorrento in Krefeld, ne wieder!

Absolutely impossible! When we made our reservation for yesterday we were told that the table was reserved from 6pm to 8pm. So far so ok. Even taking the order (drinks as well as starter and main course) was slow and the restaurant was packed. We then received the starters around 6:30 p.m. We then had to wait until around 7:30 p.m. for the main courses; the kitchen couldn't keep up. When we received the dessert menu from an employee, the "planning employee" took it away from us and told us that we only had the table until 8 p.m. I replied that there was nothing we could do about it if the kitchen was overwhelmed. His answer: “We had an appetizer.” Aha.... This employee insisted on clearing the table without dessert and coffee. Our patience was gone, I said to the employee: "Ok, we're leaving and never coming back." Answer "That's not a problem". In my opinion, extremely arrogant behavior, a restaurant should not let its internal planning errors out on the guests!

Hier ist es immer lebhaft, am Samstag sogar noch lebhafter und das muss man mögen. Das ist eben neapolitanisch. Neapolitanisch ist auch die Küche, und darauf kommt es an. Authentische Speisen, herausragende Pizzen vom 2019er Pizza-Europameister, tolle Desserts und eben die o.g. Atmosphäre. Wir lieben es und haben viel Freude an diesem tollen Familienbetrieb. Hoffentlich noch viele Jahre. Unbedingt reservieren.

We were here on Sunday evening, the place was packed, we wouldn't have been able to find a place without a reservation. The restaurant specializes in pizzas with a thin base and crispy thick edges, and the pizzas were unusually tasty. Very friendly and competent service. Good value for money.

We always like to come to Sorrento and enjoy it very much. The food is high quality and very tasty. Service is fast, friendly, competent and helpful, even when it is completely full. The one star deduction in the ambience is only because it is quite tight and sometimes (depending on the position of the table) you are forced to hear everything from the people sitting next to you. With the good food, it's no wonder there's always a lot going on. :) We've only had one minor "complaint" (dessert had freezer burn) and it was remedied immediately. Parking is easy in the parking garage directly opposite. However, there are a few extra euros on top of that.

Despite reservations, there was no space available and none in the near future. After waiting outside for 20 minutes we left. It was crowded inside and extremely loud.

Fantastic! The pizza is world class, super digestible and damn tasty! You can only find such damn good quality in Naples or on the Amalfi Coast! A small (large) piece of Italy is finally nearby!

One of the few “fancy” restaurants here in Krefled. Super soft pizza dough completely different than in the usual pizza restaurants. In any case, you'll have to dig a little deeper into your pockets, but that's why it tastes good...

Simply fantastic! 👌 We came to Piazza Sorrento 'senza riservazione' on a Sunday evening and we were asked very 'gently' whether 1.5 hours would be enough, as there was still a reservation for our table afterwards. We had a 'tavolo per due' and quickly got a 'cestino con 🍞 pane' and olives. The ambience is warm and 'comodo' and most of the service also spoke Italian. We had a 'mezzo litro di vino' 🍷 Primitivo 😏. Very tasty and very reasonably priced! The main courses came very quickly after we had 'ordinato' and what can I say, it was a delicious culinary delight! We had pizza 🍕 and fagottini (similar to tortellini) with gorgonzola/pera🍐 We also got some pane after a piccola request 🍞. The two of us paid 48 euros for a bottle of water. We were very satisfied and looking forward to coming back - there was a lot of content and there were lots of curiosity about it!

All products are really from Italy, I have already tried some Italian ressturats, Piazza Sorrento is number 1, simply super delicious.

Reserve a table, otherwise it could be tight. To the pizza, the comparison: dough edge very fluffy, base thin, topping a little too much mozzarella. Taste slightly burnt. Grade 9 out of 10. In Naples that would be a 7.

So if you are looking for a pizza that tastes the best then this is the right place. 1) Waiting time is very short. 2) Food tastes so wonderful 3) Staff is nice 4) Inside (and outside) it looks very nice. I recommend it!!!

Very good Italians in the middle of Krefeld

A few days ago I had dinner with my family at Piazza Sorrento in Krefeld and was completely satisfied. The food was delicious, the prices were fair and the service was excellent. I would particularly like to highlight the waiter Elton. He was very friendly and attentive and gave us very good advice when choosing food and drinks. He also visited us again and again during the meal and asked if everything was OK. We tried the Pizza Sorrento and the Pasta Carbonara and both were delicious. The pizza dough was perfectly baked and the ingredients were fresh and of good quality. The pasta carbonara was creamy and flavorful. Overall, we had a very nice evening in Piazza Sorrento and will definitely come back.

There is a perfectly grounded reason if Massimiliano was elected as the best pizza baker in 2019. No questions. Hands down. He still bakes the best pizza in Germany.

Piazza Sorrento ist für mich der absolute Favorit unter den italienischen Restaurants in Krefeld. Die authentische Atmosphäre, das freundliche Personal und vor allem die exquisiten Gerichte machen diesen Ort zu einem kulinarischen Highlight. Die frischen Zutaten und die Liebe zum Detail spiegeln sich in jedem Bissen wider. Absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die echte italienische Küche schätzen!

Theoretisch gut, praktisch hat viel gefehlt... Meine Pizza (Napoli mit gefülltem Rand) war leider überhaupt nicht gar. Die halbe Pizza bestand aus rohem Teig und war daher nicht wirklich genießbar. Die andere Pizza am Tisch war durchgegart und hat ganz gut geschmeckt. Da es brechend voll war und kein Service in Sicht, habe ich mich nicht beschwert. Selbst schuld... Dennoch unzufriedenstellend bei den aufgerufenen Preisen...

Sehr leckeres Essen und tolles Ambiente. Wir hatten sowohl Pizza als auch Pasta Gerichte und alle waren sehr sehr lecker und empfehlenswert. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Für das Essen gebe ich gerne 5 Sterne. Das war sehr lecker! Unser Platz war eine Katastrophe und der Service war auch extrem ausbaufähig. An Getränkebestellungen oder Nachtischbestellung gab es leider kein Interesse. Schade.

Die beste Pizza die ich je gegessen habe. Der Pistazien Likör zum Schluss war das ,i-Tüpfelchen

Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm, eines der am schönsten gestalteten Italienischen Restaurants in Krefeld, hier kann man auch mal nach der Pizza/ Pasta auf ein Glas Wein sitzen bleiben. Das Essen ist gut, die Pizza authentisch und von der Portion her ausreichend. Die Pasta schmeckt ebenfalls sehr gut. Wer mal etwas „schöner“ italienisch essen möchte ist hier gut aufgehoben. Einziges Minus die Toiletten sind im Verhältnis zum Rest des Restaurants ein wenig zu verschmutzt

Super neapolitanische pizza fühlte mich wie in Neapel

Wir waren zu sechst dort und hatten einen richtig tollen Abend. Das Essen war spitze. Vorspeisenplatte optisch und geschmacklich klasse. Pizza mit tollem Belag und mega lecker. Service war sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich. Hier werden wir definitiv öfter einkehren.

Sehr leckeres Essen, vor allem die Bowls fand ich als Vegetarier sehr gut. Jederzeit wieder.

Weihnachtsfeier im Sorento mit einem Dutzend Freunden vebracht. Das Essen war okay, meine Carbonara war mit Rigatoni oder ähnlicher Pasta, ich bin von Spaghetti ausgegangen. Was ich sehr schlimm fand war, dass auf der Rechnung mal eben 12 Grappa mehr standen. Für Antipasti wurden pauschal 20 Euro abgerechnet. Die Grappa wurden zumindest wieder rausgenomme. Insgesamt würde ich im Sorento nicht wieder essen.

Bei neapolitanischen Weltmeister muss ich nur noch lachen. Der Meister backte persönlich, aber die Pizza war nicht knusprig. Der Boden matschig, die Tomatensoße keine Bindung zum Teig. Kommt davon wenn man zuviel Soße und Mozzarella draufpackt. Da fehlt meiner Meinung nach doch etwas Wissen. Service war wie immer gut. Wieder da und es hat sich nichts geändert. Das Ambiente ist mittlerweile katastrophal, da der Laden komplett mit Tischen vollgestopft ist und dadurch extrem laut

Unsere Gruppe von fünf Personen hatte das Vergnügen, einen unvergesslichen Geburtstagsabend im neapolitanischen Restaurant „Piazza Sorrento " zu verbringen. Von Anfang bis Ende war die Erfahrung nicht nur kulinarisch erfüllend, sondern auch von einer herzlichen Atmosphäre geprägt. Die Pizza, ein wahres Highlight in jedem neapolitanischen Restaurant, enttäuschte keineswegs. Der hauchdünne Teig, die frischen Zutaten und der authentische Geschmack machten jede einzelne Pizza zu einem kulinarischen Erlebnis. Besonders hervorzuheben war die Pizza Margherita, die die Essenz der neapolitanischen Tradition perfekt einfing. Das Personal war nicht nur aufmerksam, sondern auch äußerst freundlich. Als sie von unserem Geburtstagsanlass erfuhren, überraschten sie uns mit einem wunderbar präsentierten Dessertteller, auf dem "Herzlichen Glückwunsch" mit Schokoladensauce geschrieben stand. Eine Geste, die unsere Feier noch besonderer machte. Grazie mille!

Vorab das Essen war sehr gut egal ob Vorspeise oder die verschiedenen Pizzen alles sehr gut. Wir waren vor ein paar Monaten zur Samstag Abend "Rushour" mit Reservierung in diesem Lokal. Die Bedienung war am Anfang aufmerksam und bemüht und sie hatten zu ihrer Entschuldigung auch Stress Aber: die ersten Gläser Wein kamen lauwarm in warmen Gläsern an. nach dem anstandslosen Umtausch waren die Gläser und auch der Wein zwar kalt allerdings war es eine andere Sorte Wein. eigentlich ein Unding aber die Frauen wollten dann nicht mehr warten und akzeptierten den Wein. beim nächsten Glas das wieder warm war kam dann technische Probleme mit der Kühlung als Entschuldigung .Gut kann passieren was allerding nicht in Ordung ist das uns ein Kellner ( ich beschreibe ihn mal als Valentino Rossi Verschnitt) lautstark über 4 !!! kalte reklamierte Cappucino berichtete das man in Italien den Cappucino immer kalt trinken würde um dann noch die Frechheit zu besitzen diese 4 Cappucinos zurück zu nehmen in die Microwelle zu stellen und sie uns völlig versifft und kochendheiß erneut zu servieren das man sie locker 5 Minuten nicht mal anrühren konnte. Also liebes Sorrento ausruhen auf der Meisterpizza und den überwiegend positiven Bewertungen sollte man sich nicht dauernd.

Hier gibt es eine mega leckere Pizza. Es ist nicht billig, aber für die gute Qualität gerechtfertigt. Wenn man etwas besonderes essen möchte, ist man hier gut aufgehoben.

Wirklich die beste Pizza die ich je gegessen habe. Ich verstehe warum immer alle Tische in die Pizzeria besetzt sind und man für eine Reservierung eine Woche Vorlauf benötigt. Der Teig aus dem Steinofen ist unglaublich lecker. Der Rand ist dick und schön locker. Im Belag schmeckt man die hohe Qualität der einzelnen Zutaten heraus. Die Abend war trotz 400 Kilometern Fahrt sehr lohnend. Der Service ist super freundlich und das Ambiente passt, trotz der großen Zahl an Tischen und Gästen. Bei Reservierung hat man den Tisch für 2 Stunden gebucht, da die Tische auch ein zweites mal am Abend vergeben werden. Nur so ist der große Nachfrage zu bewältigen.

Sehr leckere Pizza, auch ohne Käse für Veganer*innen geeignet und nicht weniger lecker. Knuspriger lockerer Teig, hochwertige Zutaten, toller Service. Mehr vegane Optionen wären dennoch super, damit man mehr Möglichkeiten als Pizza ohne Käse, Nudeln Arrabiata oder die Gemüsebowl hat :) zB zur Trüffelzeit vegane Sahnesauce anbieten

Wundervoll!!! Pizza vom Feinsten und authentisch wie in Neapel. Tolles Brot und schmackhafte Oliven vorab und begleitend zur Pizza köstliche Knoblauch- und Chiliöle. Vielen lieben Dank liebes Restaurant-Team!

Service freundlich und bemüht, teils unaufmerksam aber im ganzen gut. Ambiente innen sehr schön, außen eher schwach. Die Eimer mit den Aschenbechern am Eingang gehen garnicht. Vorweg gab es Baguette mit Knoblauchdip (sehr lecker) und grüne Oliven. Als Vorspeise hatten wir den Gemischtenvorspeisenteller, Vitello tonnato, eingelegte rote Paprika mit schwarzen Oliven, dicke Bohnen mit Thunfisch und Zwiebeln, Mozzarella mit Tomate und Rucola, Auberginen mit Käse überbacken, eingelegte Zwiebeln und Zucchini, Fittata Kartoffelomlett, Honigmelone mit Pamaschinken und eingelegte Möhren alles ok am nichts herausragendes. Als Hauptgang hatte ich die 4 Isole mit Thunfisch, Schinken und Pilzen (Die Tomatensoße und der Schinken waren sehr lecker, die Pilze ziehen den gesamten Geschmack der Pizza runter). Meine Frau hatte eine Pizza mit Trüffel und Mozzarella (diese war sehr lecker). Insgesamt war es ein schöner Abend mit Trinkgeld lagen wir bei 90€. Preis-Leistung ist gut.

Unbedingt reservieren, sonst könnte es nicht klappen. Italien pur. Drr Familienbetrieb hat alles im Griff. Tolles Essen, etwas laut, toller Service. Alles sehr lecker zu zivilen Preisen.

Dass Restaurant bietet Sitzplätze sowohl drinnen als auch draußen. Die Kellner waren sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen war hervorragend und die Stimmung wie im Urlaub. Zum Schluss gab es auch einen sehr guten selbstgemachte Limoncello aufs Haus. Parken kann man im Parkhaus in der Nähe oder abends am Straßenrand (Vorsicht tagsüber maximal 1 Stunde) Wir waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden.

Wir hatten einen Besuch schon lange auf der to-do-Liste. Spontan und ohne Reservierung hatten wir Glück und ergatterten noch ein freies Plätzchen im ansonsten schon ziemlich vollen Restaurant. Die Karte enthielt einige etwas außergewöhnlichere Kreationen, was uns sehr ansprach. Wir entschieden uns für die Europameister-Pizza und eine mit Rucola und Garnelen. Die Pizzen waren groß und sahen ansprechend aus. Jedoch war der Boden leider unten nicht ganz durchgebacken und daher kompakt und teigig. Die Beläge waren geschmacklich solide, aber auch nicht außergewöhnlich gut. Im Vergleich zu den Pizzen, die wir in Neapel oder anderswo in Italien gegessen haben nicht annähernd so gut. Aufgrund unserer hohen Erwartungshaltung waren wir dann leider etwas enttäuscht. Der Service war effizient und freundlich. Aufgrund der mittelprächtigen Pizzen empfanden wir das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis etwas überzogen.

Good pizza, but very poor service. I prefer therefore other restaurants, where you do not have the feeling to disturb.

Das Essen war der Hammer! Europameister im Haus ist eben Europameister im Haus ;) Das Personal war mega freundlich und trotzt vollem Restaurant haben alle immer ein für mich ehrlich lachendes Gesicht gehabt und waren zuvorgekommene . Auch die Kommunikation untereinander war herzlich! Selbst die beleuchteten Wandbilder werden zu den Anlässen gewechselt, so gab es Rosen und Herzen wg. dem Valentinstag! GANZ GANZ TOLLES RESTAURANT!!!!

Definitiv die beste Pizza die ich persönlich gegessen habe. Das Ambiente und die Bedienung sind sehr gut und es ist sehr gemütlich.

Reservierung war notwendig und klappte einwandfrei. Lockerer, freundlicher, aufmerksamer Service. Alle Speisen und Getränke topp. Etwas teuerer, aber für die Qualität angemessen. Gerne wieder.
