Delicious food with lots of vegetables. Vegetarian options are readily available. Very friendly service. We've been coming here for many years, often for birthday parties.

I've been going to this restaurant for years. Today, unfortunately, we had a rather unpleasant experience. We ordered the large mezzanine platter for two people and said we would share it between the three of us. When we checked out, we saw that we had been charged three times the individual price, which was not what we ordered. I personally think it's a shame that the restaurant has recently resorted to this tactic to increase its revenue.

I was thrilled with Phoenicia in Poppelsdorf! The food is incredibly fresh and lovingly prepared – I was particularly impressed by the wide selection of vegetables: crisp salads, aromatic, colorful vegetables, and great combinations that not only fill you up but also taste really good. Add to that the friendly atmosphere and the fast, attentive service. If you value fresh ingredients and delicious food, this is the place for you! Highly recommended – I'll definitely be back.

The food on offer is varied and tastes very good. Unfortunately, they only serve Heineken licensed beer, no national beers, although Lebanon has alternatives like Beirut Beer, Al arz le Cidre, and probably other varieties…otherwise, it's a very nice place.

The food was good, but the meat was badly burnt, resulting in a bitter aftertaste. The appetizers were plentiful and good. The service was very friendly. Unfortunately, we received the wrong order twice. However, as a gesture of goodwill, we were charged for what we ordered.

A fantastic Lebanese restaurant with a warm atmosphere and exceptional hospitality. We ordered a starter platter and were personally advised by the owner. What we received was a generous selection of freshly prepared, authentic dishes—everything was incredibly tasty and made with care. To our surprise, a main course followed: meat, rice, potatoes, and a delicious dip. The portion was huge—so much so that we had plenty left to take home. The service was attentive, kind, and genuinely caring throughout. We felt completely at ease and welcomed. An outstanding experience. Highly recommended!

A very large selection of dishes, including excellent, freshly prepared dishes. The wine (rosé) was also excellent. Four of us went there, and everyone loved it. Absolutely recommended. The Baba Ganoush is particularly special!

The vegetarian starters and also the grill plate were great. A small downer is that the service only asked for drinks once at the beginning and then not again. But otherwise gladly again.

Well located in Poppelsdorf. We sat outside on the terrace, and thanks to the courtyard location you can hardly hear anything from the nearby street. The food was delicious, the service good and hardly noticeable, which is a positive in this case! We thank you for a successful evening and would be happy to come back!

The food is just so delicious! The meat is tender as butter, the sauces are extremely seasoned, and you can always order bread again; if it is too little. There is a small backyard where you can sit comfortably. The toilets are small, but were so far clean. We had the feeling that there wasn't enough staff for two large companies + normal operations. We had to wait quite a long time for service. But perhaps people here are also affected by a lack of staff. Otherwise everything was great 👍 Huge plus point: you can ask for packaging trays and take the rest with you, as the plates are always plentiful :)

Hier wezen eten. Het eten was goed maar vooral erg veel. Het opnemen en uitserveren duurde erg lang waardoor we het dessert niet meer hebben genomen. Personeel was niet onaardig maar ook niet echt vriendelijk. De grootste afknapper kwam bij het betalen. Er is een pinautomaat maar je mag met een Nederlandse bankpas of Visa Card hier niet betalen. Zonder uitleg, gewoon geweigerd. Waardeloze service.

Came here via TripAdvisor. The food was good and a lot of it. Staff was not bad, but not very friendly either. Recording and serving took a very long time. Because of this we didn't have dessert. The real letdown came when paying. They have a PIN machine, but payment was not allowed here with a Dutch bank card or Visa Card. Really worthless.

Good ambience and decor, nice welcoming staff. Food tasted good, especially the hummus and dips. Price is quite steep and it costed us ~60€ for 2 person meal. This consists basically of a basket of raw vegetables, 2-3 types of hummus, tasting platter of 1-2 snacks and dips, small portion of rice and some grilled meat chops.

i came with my friends to eat good food knowing that the menu price's 30€ , however we got really disappointed by getting ripped off with 70€/person , it's a real shame. there was no sea food , no raw meat no salad. no one should go to this place!

Delicious food and really large portions. This is especially true for the starters. Ordered the mixed menu. Something could be done about the rooms and the backyard isn't really comfortable either. There was even an extra little service on the way out. Price-performance ratio is still right here.

I've been asked to eat here for a long time. For me and my friends I can say that it was really very tasty. The platter for several people was extremely rich and was able to satisfy us at any time. The service was and is very friendly and accommodating, making everyone feel comfortable at the table. The price was reasonable. We will come back in any case.

We had reserved in advance by phone. From the outside the restaurant looks unkempt and a bit dirty. Inside it's a little different - the tables are very small and the cutlery is already there. The plates at our table didn't seem clean. Well... the menu was huge... getting an overview is almost impossible and almost invites you to take the menu for two people... We also did that with Lebanese Pils which was delicious.. The platter for 2 is initially far too much for 2 people.. so we were very hungry.. but hardly feasible.. just this vegetable bowl.. I'm against wasting food but I don't want to know what is being thrown away.. well because .. the cold starters were all fresh and delicious - I personally didn't like the grape leaves and olives at all .. they were starters that were quite "okay" - here too the falafels were rock hard .. the main course was tasty but just too much. . the lamb was well fried and intensely flavored .. the dessert, however, was a joke compared to the rest of the food .. The service was very good and attentive, there's nothing to complain about and that's why 3 stars, because that's what made it. For me, price-performance is okay for what's on offer, but the quality and ambience are difficult..

An und für sich sehr leckeres Essen. Allerdings: Vor allem Alleinerziehende Muttis haben hier wohl nicht viel zu melden. Sehr kleiner Tisch wurde uns zugewiesen. Hauptgang kam mit Vorspeise; Es war für uns angeblich nicht mehr Platz als uns auf dem Tisch (Katzentisch) zu platzieren. … und irgendwie schwer zu unterscheiden. Wir wären gerne den zweiten Tag unseres Aufenthaltes wiedergekommen; das Essen war an sich super….ich liebe libanesische Küche. Schade, Ich hatte ehrlich gesagt keine Lust mehr drauf: Hätte man sich ein bißchen mehr Zeit für genommen!!!

Das mit Abstand beste libanesische Restaurant, das ich bisher kennen gelernt habe. Wir haben zu zweit den Mesa Teller (für 2 Personen) bestellt. Wichtig: Langsam essen und es genießen. Sonst schafft man die Menge einfach nicht. Die Quantität und die Qualität ist hervorragend. Mit vielen kleinen Dips, in den unterschiedlichsten Geschmacksrichtungen. Auch das Personal, allen voran der Chef, machte diesen Abend für uns unvergesslich. Tipp: der Rotwein aus eigenem Anbau!

Sind aus Stuttgart angereist. Lecker essen , Personal sehr nett , Essen war der Hammer habe mich wie on Libanon gefühlt . Habe auch libanesisches Bier bekommen.

Eine Neuentdeckung für mich, dabei existiert das Phoenicia schon länger. Blitzschnelle und freundliche Bedienung. Angenehmes Ambiente. Sehr, sehr gutes Essen für alle Geschmäcker, Veganer, Vegetarier, Flexitarier und Karnivoren. Sehr schöner Tischwein. Und die Preise sind okay.

It’s very close to the Lebanese cuisine in Lebanon, which is a rare thing to say. The food is really good: the fatoush is very fresh, the kebbe was my favorite, the makanik and the mixed grill platter were also equally good. However, the hot potatoes were not so crispy. We tried the atayif bel ashta for dessert and it was a fried delight! The best thing about this restaurant is the Almaza (a Lebanese beer). The arak was good as well. The place maybe needs some renovation to really reflect its quality food. Overall a delicious experience though!

Die kalten Vorspeisen waren gut, aber der Blätterteig und die Falafel waren ein bisschen hart. Die herzförmigen Falafel war süß. The cold starters were good, but the puff pastry and falafel were a bit hard. The heart-shaped falafel is cute.

Sehr leckeres und vor allem reichliches lybisches Essen. Es wird eine Schüssel mit Salat und Gemüse dazu gereicht, um die Vorspeisen einzurollen und zu würzen, dass Fleisch war lecker gerillt und saftig. Der Service ist freundlich und flink.

Die Bedienung war sehr schnell und das Essen lecker und gesund zuzubereitet. Das Ambiente ist hier "phoenizisch" gestaltet. Man hat auch eine reichliche Auswahl an Wein.
