Pho Co Restaurant - vietnamesische feine cuisine in Leipzig

I was there for lunch on September 25. They only had half portions of the duck left. The plates weren't warmed up beforehand, so the food was cold. Instead of the papaya salad I ordered, I got a mango salad. The service has deteriorated significantly; it's very unfriendly and barely visible. The wooden tables are very dirty and sticky. Never again...

Always quick and delicious. It's also no problem at all if you cancel something that's included in the meal. You can always customize it.

My absolute favorite restaurant for years. I especially recommend the sesame balls for dessert and the matcha mild tea or other homemade drinks. All the main courses are wonderful.

The food was great, and so was the service up until that point. Unfortunately, after the main course, the service dropped dramatically. No one asked for us again, and waiters only came after we called out several times. We actually wanted to order dessert and some drinks, but we decided to leave.

We arrived relatively late for lunch, but were still served quickly. The homemade drinks are highly recommended. We ordered from the lunch menu, which is very reasonably priced during the week. All in all, a solid place with delicious food.

Rating: ★★★☆☆ We used to go to Pho Co Restaurant often and enjoy it – fine Vietnamese cuisine, and we always enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, the quality has noticeably declined over the years. Some dishes, like the chicken curry dishes, are still delicious – others, such as the beef dish Bun Bo Nam Bo, we found to be average at best. What particularly struck us on our last visit, however, was the service. There were an extremely large number of flies on the terrace, presumably attracted by the fish sauce. When we politely asked for a solution (e.g., lit coffee or something similar), we were simply offered to go inside – unfortunately, we found that not very customer-oriented. Another problem: A friend had specifically ordered a dish with mango sauce because he can't tolerate curry. The meal still contained curry. When asked, the staff simply said there was "just a little" in it. We didn't think that was particularly thoughtful either. It's a shame, Pho Co used to be a regular for us – but unfortunately, it's no longer an option. Three stars out of a long-standing relationship, but with a distinctly critical bias.

The price-performance ratio was very good. Everything was perfect; we'll be back!

The food was okay and was delivered very quickly. After our meal, we practically had to beg for more drinks, and then we were told the bar was open. The owners' children were climbing on chairs and tables and playing very loudly. The waiters just laughed at it. It's a shame, unfortunately, it's not a relaxing place to eat.

The restaurant has seen better days. Good staff isn't always easy to find.

We ordered for several people and were quickly seated at the table. The service was on site quickly, even though the restaurant was already very full on a Saturday. The order arrived quickly. Even the starters were delivered very quickly. The ambience was okay, but it was quite loud. Conclusion: it's quite okay.

The restaurant is nicely decorated, but given the temperatures outside, it was also very cool inside. After a warm tea, things got cozy after all. After the starter, I was really looking forward to the main course, but for me (and for those who tried it) it was inedibly spicy. The menu said that there was chili on the dish - but it wasn't marked as spicy. (Which is shown as such for other dishes on the menu). When I asked if there was any possibility of adjustment, I was rudely rejected. I would have had to pay for a new meal, and there was no other goodwill. The discussion lasted 10 minutes and I felt very unwelcome. We've been eating here for years and I've never been served so rudely. We then broke off the visit. I had the food packed up so that at least I wouldn't throw it away. The packaging also had to be paid for at €1. At least here they would have shown goodwill. I was very disappointed with such little service at these prices.

Wir hatten einen schönen, ruhigen Tisch und konnten unsere Geburtstagsfeier in angenehmer Atmosphäre genießen. Verbesserungspotenzial gibt es dennoch: Garderobe: Es gibt zu wenige Möglichkeiten, Jacken aufzuhängen. Ein Großteil unserer Jacken lag auf dem Boden, was weder praktisch noch angenehm war. Sprachbarrieren beim Service: Unsere Bedienung war freundlich, sprach jedoch kaum Deutsch. Dadurch wurde die Bestellung komplizierter, und Nachfragen waren schwierig. Essen: Die meisten Gerichte waren schmackhaft. Die Garnelen mit Zitronengras & Knoblauchsoße hätten jedoch eine sämigere Konsistenz haben können – stattdessen war es eher eine dünne Brühe. Lange Wartezeiten: Der größte Kritikpunkt. Es dauerte über 50 Minuten, bis das erste Essen serviert wurde – und leider nicht für alle gleichzeitig. Dadurch wurden einige Speisen kalt, bevor alle ihr Essen hatten. Bei gut besetzten Restaurants kann es zu Wartezeiten kommen, aber ein gemeinsames Essen sollte in einem gut geführten Lokal gewährleistet sein. Fazit: Wir waren eingeladen und hatten insgesamt einen angenehmen Abend. Für größere Gruppen ist das Lokal jedoch nur bedingt empfehlenswert, wenn man Wert auf einen reibungslosen Ablauf legt.

We had a nice, quiet table and were able to enjoy our birthday party in a pleasant atmosphere. There is still room for improvement: Wardrobe: There are too few options for hanging jackets. Most of our jackets were lying on the floor, which was neither practical nor pleasant. Language barriers in service: Our waitress was friendly, but hardly spoke any German. This made ordering more complicated and making inquiries difficult. Food: Most dishes were tasty. However, the shrimp with lemongrass & garlic sauce could have had a thicker consistency - instead it was more of a thin broth. Long waiting times: The biggest criticism. It took over 50 minutes for the first meal to be served - and unfortunately not to everyone at the same time. This caused some food to get cold before everyone had their food. There may be waiting times in busy restaurants, but a shared meal should be guaranteed in a well-run restaurant. Conclusion: We were invited and overall had a pleasant evening. However, the restaurant is only partially recommended for larger groups if you value everything running smoothly.

Very good food! Dropped by spontaneously and got a spot straight away. The service was very friendly. The homemade iced teas were really delicious. My highlight was the iced matcha latte. The Pho soup was also very good. Ideal for a cold day! Card payments are possible from €20. Gladly again!

Waren letzte Woche zum ersten Mal da und es war einfach rundum schön. Das Ambiente und die Einrichtung wirken warm, freundlich und authentisch. The waiters were quick and friendly and you didn't have to wait long for your food. All the food and house drinks we had that evening were simply delicious. There are vegetarian dishes and you can often choose between tofu, beef or chicken for soups, for example. The dishes appear fresh and handmade, the portions are large and the prices are totally fair. Clear recommendation!

For me one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Leipzig. It's often pretty crowded here. The menu is varied, including plenty of vegetarian dishes. I particularly liked the homemade lemonade and the spring rolls. The atmosphere is cozy and rustic, you quickly feel at home. There is also an outdoor seating area. The food is always prepared quickly and the staff is friendly and attentive. Toilets clean. Addendum (August 2024): Everything is still great here!

Finally back, we are so happy that Pho Co is open again. It was so lonely without our favorite restaurant! It's so great here and we hope it stays that way!

Delicious, hot, authentic. Grilled salmon was tender and on point, chicken and duck were delicious, beef rolls somehow didn't taste quite to our liking. Saitan duck was also delicious, sticky rice for dessert was a must. As the restaurant filled up in the evening, it became more difficult to get service. Disadvantage: no card payment possible!

Despite registering at short notice, we got a table for 12 people 15 minutes in advance. The waitresses were there very quickly too. Since we were traveling with 7 children (3-5 years), ordering was a bit loud and chaotic. Unfortunately, not all children found something on the children's menu and therefore ordered starters. They came pretty quickly, but unfortunately the children's meals didn't. This led to some frustration among the kids. The waiters said the order was first the starter and then the main course, which we found a bit inflexible. Most people enjoyed the food. The fried noodles with tofu were very heavy on my stomach, but my wife was very sick from her portion for the rest of the day. But the kids were doing great.

For me, this restaurant is one of the best in Eutritzsch. The atmosphere is nice, the service has always been very friendly and quick and the food is just damn tasty! Anyone who likes Asian cuisine should stop here.

The food was delicious, the vegetables were fresh and the portions were huge. The service is very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was a bit difficult due to the live music, as people could barely understand each other. Once the band left it was very pleasant and quiet.

Visit for three on March 8, 2024 with prior table reservation. We were brought to the table and a short time later we were only able to order drinks which were then brought to us. Then a whole hour passed without anything happening...we were simply forgotten. After asking twice nothing happened, it was only after the third question that someone finally came to the table. There was no apology whatsoever. Then we ordered drinks again to go with the food that finally arrived, but unfortunately we didn't get them either. Unfortunately, we have never experienced such service. The only good thing was...the food was delicious.

Very tasty, very friendly service. Small things could be improved from the ambience. Flowers on the table or a nice light. They had a small pond in the restaurant which unfortunately had no water or contents and seemed unfinished. If that can be improved, it will definitely be great. Would love to come back for the food and service :)

It used to be great.:-( Waitress who doesn't understand the language. Got the wrong food several times. Koi tank is no longer there. So the ambience is just a bar atmosphere. The quality of the food has also deteriorated a lot. It's a shame.

Vietnamese restaurant with large outdoor seating. Classic dishes from ramen to curry are offered here at an absolutely acceptable price-performance ratio. There is also a separate lunch menu with special offers. The staff is friendly and the food is prepared quickly. Clear recommendation, even if it could be a little more comfortable.

Unfortunately I have to give a negative review because my colleagues and I were very disappointed today. We ordered the lunch special to be picked up by phone 2 days ago - when we picked it up we had a big surprise that the online menu we used to order was no longer up to date. Suddenly completely different dishes were packed and at almost double the price. I didn't have enough cash with me, but I didn't want to pay more on principle - you can expect some hospitality. I would have taken the dishes with me if I had gotten them at the price I ordered. There was no accommodation here, so I left the restaurant without eating and got kebab for my colleagues and myself. A pity!

Been there several times. Food was generally always top. However, on our last visit we had reserved in advance and all the tables were occupied even without a reservation. So we left after waiting 20 minutes. Then as a restaurant I am either not allowed to accept orders or I have to actually reserve the tables for that time. As tasty as the food is, it was more than disappointing.

Pho Co is quite inconspicuous in terms of ambience, but impresses with its menu and the quality of the food. The chicken and the rose petal tea are really nice. Gladly again!

Has slowed down a lot. My wife and I used to love eating there. Since the summer of 2023, while prices have risen sharply, portions have shrunk significantly while quality has fallen. There is now a better alternative in the neighborhood, even though it's not as nice to sit there. However, there are hardly any backrests at Pho Co, which doesn't encourage you to linger.

Gutes Restaurant, Plätze auch ohne Reservierung, ist Parkplatz dabei. Ich kenne Pho co aus Weimar, dieses Restaurant ist allerdings etwas anderes, das hat mich ein wenig enttäuscht. Essen war aber gut, sehr große Portionen.

Wirklich sehr schöne, kleine aber feine Lokalität. Das Essen ist reichlich, schmeckt wirklich immer ausgezeichnet und die Leute der Belegschaft/ Bedienung sind ebenfalls sehr freundlich und kompetent. Innen- sowie Außenbereich sind bequem ausgestattet. Ich gehe dort wahnsinnig gern essen.

Super lecker... Hatte 3 Vorspeisen statt Hauptgericht. Sommerrollen Mangosalat mit tofu und Wan tangs. Das war super sättigend und lecker. Nettes personal. Aber die Sitzbänke sind sehr hart und unbequem und der Tisch so tief dass man sich die knie stossen kann..

Also im großen und ganzen, ein sehr nettes Personal. Essen war schnell serviert und hat auch wunderbar geschmeckt. Wir sind satt und sehr zufrieden wieder raus gegangen ☺️😋.

Dass Essen ist immer wieder sehr lecker und frisch. Auch die Mitnahme für zuhause hat der Qualität kaum bis gar nicht geschadet und es war sehr sicher für den Transport verpackt. Immer wieder staune ich über die zahlreichen Plätze im Restaurant, weil man dass von außen so nicht erahnen würde. Das Ambiente ist schön hergerichtet. Das Personal ist freundlich. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne her.

Das Ambiente finde ich ganz schön und das Essen ist lecker. Die müssten nur ein bisschen organisierter werden. Denen geht manchmal eine Bestellung durch die Lappen.
