Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend und kulinarisch extrem leckeres 4 Gänge Menü. Phillip ist ein sehr sympathischer und aufmerksamer Gastgeber. Kann ich nur jedem empfehlen. Ein Muss in Hamburg.

Wir haben an einem schönen Herbstaben im kleinen Garten hervorragend gegessen. Wir genossen das 4-Gänge-Menu mit Weinbegleitung. Die einzelnen Gänge waren innovativ und sehr lecker. Der Wein war gut ausgewählt zu Speisen. Herzlichen Dank an die Küche und die aufmerksame Bedienung. Eine Entdeckung!

Vennegjengen på 12 avsluttet Hamburg helgen i denne restauranten. Vi hadde veldig god kommunikasjon i forkant med Philip og fikk en Chambre. Velkomstbobler sto klare ved ankomst og i tillegg ledsaget oss en rikelig og utsøkt vinpakke gjennom et 4- retters fantastisk måltid, fryd for øye og gane. Vi hadde god innsyn i kjøkkens aktiviteter, alltid et godt tegn. Service var utmerket, Phillip ledet oss oppmerksom gjennom måltidet og vi følte oss godt i varetatt. Tusen takk for en super hyggelig matopplevelse! Her får du mye kvalitet for pengene. Vi kommer garantert igjen.

Vi havde bestilt bord på restauranten, der mere end levede op til vores forventninger! Personalet var så imødekommende og opmærksomme. Tjeneren ved vores bord var virkelig god til at snakke engelsk og enormt smilende og venlig. Stemningen på restauranten var unik. Et lille intimt sted med god og flot indretning! Selvom vi sad ret tæt på et par ved et andet bord, havde vi en oplevelse af “bare at være os”. Maden var fantastisk - velafstemt, velsmagende og velanrettet! Gode portionsstørrelser og meget (!) fair priser. Som “starter” fik vi lidt forskelligt friskbagt med lækker smør/friskost/olie til. Oveni fik vi, mens vi ventede på hovedret, en lille smagsprøve fra køkkenet. Kæmpe anbefaling herfra! Virkelig en dejlig måde at tilbringe sin fredag aften på. Vi kommer bestemt igen og spår restauranten rigtig gode tider fremover!

Fantastisk sted høj service og dejlig mad en perle gemt I Hamborg, har været der flere gange og standarden holder, super priser.

We had a wonderful evening! We were completely happy. The food was outstanding, the service was above average and the atmosphere was very cozy. Can only recommend a visit.

We were lucky to get a waitlist reservation in the garden area. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed. All the staff were super friendly. The chef was very helpful for my friend with histamine intolerance and very restricted eating. The saddle of lamb was amazing. The steak tartare delicious. The bread basket and butters were divine! The wines were reasonably priced from about 7/8e up. We stayed for about 4 hours and had a lovely relaxing evening. Highly recommend:-)

Wir waren zum ersten Mal aufgrund eines Geschenkgutscheines zum Geburtstag meines Mannes dort. Da es ein milder Abend war, konnten wir das sehr geschmackvolle und gut angerichtete Essen im Innenhof draußen genießen. Der Service war aufmerksam und das ganze Ambiente sehr angenehm. Zum Abschluss gab es noch eine Geburtstagsüberraschung vom Haus. Danke für den netten Abend🤗👍. Leider wohnen wir nicht in Hamburg und können nicht öfters kommen.

Yesterday we visited Philipp. A relaxed atmosphere with excellent food and wine with great service leaves nothing to be desired. The menu is very well thought out and perfectly coordinated to suit the session. We were absolutely blown away by the Black Angus flank steak with chanterelles, beans and bacon - really something to kneel down on. The pistachio macha eclair is a visual eye-catcher, round in taste and perfectly balanced with the gooseberry sorbet and compote. Something you don't often find either. Great selection of wines - a journey through Germany, Europe and the world. You get the impression that they like to drink themselves too. Overall, a really honest, great restaurant that is worth every penny with a lot of love, passion and commitment!

Maden var rigtig god. Servicen ville det godt, men man fik en fornemmelse af at det ikke var uddannede tjenere. De var liiidt for sent ude når der skulle skænkes vin (sæt en is spand på bordet. Så kunden selv kan skænke). Husk at bytte Alm. kniv ud med en steak knife når der serveres hele kødstykker.

I was there yesterday with my two (adult) children. We had a really fantastic evening. The rooms are very comfortable and, despite their size, have enough privacy. If you want, you can sit outside in a small courtyard. The service was impeccable, friendly and warm-hearted in a very pleasant way. We have been guests at Philipps several times and have been completely satisfied every time, including this time. The dishes were creative, perfectly prepared and appropriately sized so that we could each treat ourselves to dessert. We'd love to come back. I can recommend this restaurant without reservation.

Wir haben einen tollen Abend mit sehr gutem Essen in einer sehr freundlichen Atmosphäre genossen. Sachkundige Bedienungen, die nicht nur Bestellungen aufnehmen, sondern auch passende Empfehlungen aussprechen. Das Essen war geschmacklich sehr gut und wurde sehr schön angerichtet serviert. Das gesamte Team des Phillips war ein toller Gastgeber und wir werden sicher wiederkommen, wenn wir in Hamburg sind.

This is a romantic restaurant with a cosy atmosphere. Nice design. The service is very friendly and helpful. I found the menu to be too limited. 2/3 starters;2/3 main dishes. The choice of the desserts is wider. There could be more options for main dishes. The meals are well-prepared and delicious. The bread basket is wonderful! Fresh, home made bread and deli dips. A deli gazpacho was served between the meals. We ordered beef tartar and it was good; about 24.- We ordered schnitzel (small potion) charged 24.- It was served with some potato+cucumber salad and cranberry jam. It was good, but presentation could be better. We ordered crème brûlée: charged about 10.-. I was liked it very much. I recommend trying it. I liked the restaurant, but I found it overpriced. Good restaurant, but bad value for money. Don’t forget to book you table in advance.

This basement is located not far from the Feldstrasse subway station and Heiligengeistfeld -Restaurant. The location is not suitable for strolling. It's a bit reminiscent of the BRONX in NEW YORK, but you can also describe it as cool or a trendy district. We visited this restaurant in July 2024 with a reservation. I was informed on the phone about a time window of 2 hours for the stay. After an employee called me back after calling my voicemail to make the reservation, I received another call 10 minutes before I showed up from an employee who also wanted to inquire about my wishes. Since I was almost at the door, there was no need to make another appointment. When she arrived she said that the colleague hadn't entered the appointment... Now suddenly we were supposed to sit outside, which I refused (an hour later it started to rain). After a long search she found a small table inside. Incidentally, all guests, without exception, are called by the initials upon arrival and during service. We quickly received the menus, which are also available in an English edition. The selection of dishes was very clear. One page was dedicated to the menu. 4 courses cost €78, wine accompaniment €35. 6 courses cost €104. Wine accompaniment costs €49. Of course there is also a wine list. We ordered “Australian beef fillet tartare”, €21.50. First of all there were delicious different types of bread with different butter. Then a small glass of “Andalusian Gazpacho” cold and delicious. Then came the beef tartare, presented in a visually appealing manner. The taste was very good. Our main course was the small (!) Viennese veal schnitzel (€24.50), which is also available in a larger version for €31.50. The schnitzel was excellent. The potato salad was mixed with cucumber salad, but prepared without any spices, at least I couldn't taste anything like that. Therefore I can only rate this as having sufficient taste. But the most important thing was the schnitzel. Finally, we ordered Creme Brulee as dessert (€9.50). I didn't like the non-alcoholic beer "Kapitän", €5.60. The service was nice and attentive. The prices are in the upper segment. The sink in the toilet was smaller than 40cm with an estimated depth of 20cm..

Philipps is our favorite restaurant! It's wonderful for a couple's evening, e.g. for a birthday. Philipp and his team are extremely friendly, the menu is very much to our liking and the food is simply great! Thank you for the many lovely evenings we have had with you.

My wife and I went to Philipps Restaurant on a Saturday evening and celebrated her birthday with a nice 6-course menu with wine accompaniment. The welcome was very warm, we were immediately greeted by a very friendly, smiling employee and were offered several places to sit. We chose a small, intimate niche right next to the wines. It couldn't be more private and was absolutely in our interest. It started with delicious bread and dips, followed by a tasty greeting from the kitchen and then the culinary journey through the 6 courses began. Each course and its ingredients, including the appropriate wine, were presented in detail and served extremely attractively. The service ladies weren't above small talk and were extremely attentive at all times. All we can say about the food is that it tasted just as good as it looked. We don't know the last time we had such a delicious meal. In our opinion the price is justified. As a guest you are valued in every respect and it is simply a well-rounded overall experience. We definitely recommend it and we will definitely come back.

We were visiting Hamburg over the weekend and I chose the restaurant based on the top reviews. All expectations were exceeded. Ambiance, service and food were excellent. From the homemade bread variation, the greetings from the kitchen, to the cheese variation, everything was really perfect! The wine selection is also great! What's also just great is that Philipp himself gave us wonderful advice and care throughout the evening. You can really feel the passion that goes into this restaurant!

We had a wonderful evening sitting in the garden/backyard/patio. The food was very tasty, varied, no two courses were the same in our 5-course menu. Fine flavors, great cooking and great service, we were very satisfied. The perfect evening in a wonderful atmosphere for my birthday. Blankets were very comfortable when it got a little cooler. The attentiveness of everyone involved in the service was outstanding - and congratulations to the kitchen. As a guest you have the feeling of being well looked after by a good team. We look forward to dining there again at our next Hamburg Trio.

A really wonderful restaurant, very accommodating and warm. But the food is the best...it's sophisticated, honest and delicious. Price-performance simply perfect. The meat was fried to perfection, the cauliflower was more tender than I have ever tasted anywhere and the dessert was perfect. Everything is really wonderful!

This place absolutely exceeded all my expectations! It was a true pleasure to enjoy fine dining level food for very reasonable prices in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Food. Firstly we were offered appetizers/compliment, and the dips were not similar to anything I ever tried. Then I went for ceviche, bisque and crème brûlée. Bisque and dessert had a very delicate classic taste, delicious. And ceviche was amazing: ideal marinade perfectly balanced with orange and celery. Atmosphere: very cozy! Our table was isolated in a cute hidden corner, so that we could enjoy the dinner and conversation with no disturbance. Service. Polite and friendly personnel, special thanks for a good wine recommendation.

Heartfelt. Comfortable. Yummy. That's the short summary. The food and wine list is not large but is exquisite. The dishes are perfectly crafted and creative. But not crazy. Every cooking point is right. The wine advice is knowledgeable and always appropriate. The brandies and drinks offer a small but exquisite selection. And exquisitely good espresso.

Rundum superschönes Restaurant mit ausgesprochen leckerem Essen, sehr kreativ angerichtet. Wir hatten uns für das 4 Gang-Menue entschieden und damit einen Volltreffer gelandet. Die kleinen Grüße aus der Küche vorweg haben den ohnehin schönen Abend ideal ergänzt. Auch der von uns ausgesuchte Philipps-Hauswein ( erst weiß, dann rot ) war wunderbar. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der stets aufmerksame und freundliche Service, die Küchencrew, die ja letztendlich für das Top-Essen verantwortlich ist und der Chef, der selbst mit anpackt und das Team offensichtlich sehr gut führt. Wir haben somit einen traumhaft schönen Abend zu zweit verbracht und empfehlen das Philipps aus voller Überzeugung gerne weiter. Und wir kommen natürlich sehr gerne wieder.

Favorite restaurant in Hamburg. A very, very nice, not too big restaurant in the basement. The angled floor plan makes it seem even smaller. And it is also very quiet. Everything tastes great, super tasty. If you are not so keen on making decisions yourself, the staff offers the best help and advice, both when it comes to choosing food and drinks. You always feel like time doesn't matter. This is completely different in other restaurants. That's why I and we can only give five stars in all categories. Always happy to come back.

We went to Philipps Restaurant on business in the evening of February 29th, 2024 and it was a great evening. The extremely friendly and courteous service, the atmosphere and the service were really top and we were completely happy. The food itself was not only a feast for the eyes but also really tasted excellent! We had the 4-course menu. Each course was a highlight in itself and tasted great. For dessert there was a choice of a sweet dish or a selection of cheese. The ladies gave us great advice about the cheese and the varieties we selected were great!!! Many thanks again to the entire team for a successful evening. The next time I'm in HH privately and with the family, we'll come back! :)

Wir können Service und Küche nur loben. Wir hatten ein 4 Gänge Menue mit Weinbelgleitung. Ein Gruß aus der Küche machte den Anfang . Es folgte ein Löffel mit Ziefenkäse auf Fruchtspiegel. Als Vorspeise gab es Labskaus mit rote Beeete gefolfg von einer klarer Ochsenschwanzsuppe mit selbstgemachter Ravioli. Als Hauptspeise hatten wir Fisch mit Kartoffelstroh bez. Lammrücken mit Kartoffelbällchen auf Gemüse als Nachspeise eine kl. Käseauswahl mit selbstgebackenem Brot und Feigen Chillisenf . Die Weingegleitung war sehr gut gewählt

We came here for the first time last week on a recommendation and had a really great evening. If it were possible, we would give 6 stars in all categories :-). We haven't had such a delicious meal for a long time and felt completely at home thanks to the attentive yet unobtrusive service. Yes, all of this has its price - but it's completely justified for the quality of the food! We will come back in any case.

The philipps impresses with very good food, a successful wine pairing and a very discreet but attentive service. After a short conversation about espresso, the bill even included a small sample of the beans used. Very nice - gladly again!

Alles sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend. Die Menu- und begleitende Weinauswahl ist sorgfältig aufeinander abgestimmt, hochwertig und erstklassig zubereitet, für das man auch gerne einen, oder auch zwei, Euro mehr ausgibt. Danke Philipp und Deinem Team für den wiederholten gelungenen und sehr lustigen Abend.

One of the countless overpriced restaurants that an urban jungle produces. Big plates with small dishes, for big prices. Quite tasty, but still not a culinary explosion for the taste buds and you can get it in every good tavern around the corner. If I hadn't been invited, I probably wouldn't have found my way to such a hyped place. Anyone who needs to feel good because of the high prices is definitely in good hands there

We were guests on a Saturday evening. The evening was very nice. Food and service were excellent. When we made the reservation we were told we had a table from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. We were very happy that we were allowed to stay longer. Only the message that we have to get up now could have been worded a little more kindly. All in all a very nice evening. Gladly again! PS 2 hours are not enough to enjoy this delicious meal. Phillipp shouldn't offer that.

Ein wirklich herausragendes Lokal. Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auf Extrawünsche wurde sofort reagiert. Das Essen war ganz klar auf Sterneniveau. Einmal jährlich besuchen wir dieses Restaurant, wenn wir in Hamburg sind. Vom Empfang durch Philipp persönlich bis zum Abschied mit leckeren Bonbons ist der Abend auch dieses Mal wieder ein unvergleichliches Erlebnis gewesen. Schon das Brotkörbchen mit der Algenbutter und dem Portwein-Schalotten-Quark, sowie dem besonderen Olivenöl lohnt den Besuch. Mit dem 4-Gang-Menü und der exzellenten Weinbegleitung waren wir sehr glücklich. Der Service war zuvorkommend und unaufdringlich. Schön fanden wir, dass Philipp sich die Zeit nahm, um über Zutaten, deren Herkunft und die Weine zu sprechen. Seit unserem ersten Besuch ist nun immer ein trockener Sherry als Aperitif verfügbar, was wir als besonders aufmerksam empfinden. Fast sind wir geneigt, dieses Lokal nicht zu sehr zu empfehlen, denn langsam wird es schwierig dort einen Tisch zum Wunschtermin zu reservieren. Unser nächster Besuch ist bereits in Planung. Weiter so!

We liked this place so much that we ate here 2 nights in a row. In town for a conference so thats ok! The welcome, the service and the food were all top quality. Our waitress Nicole was super friendly and explained the menu and knew all the wines. Every starter, main and desert were delicious both nights. Many Bib Gourmand restaurants don’t deliver but this one does. If we lived in Hamburg we would be here a lot. Very highly recommended.

Schöne verschachtelte Raumaufteilung im Souterrain, tolle, entspannte Atmosphäre, super Service, übersichtliche Karte, aber hervorragend. Die Küche ist ein Traum. Wir waren hellauf begeistert.

Wir sind begeistert! Ein fantastisches Essen, toller Service und ein entspanntes Ambiente. Wir waren über 3 Stunden im Philipps Restaurant und wollten gar nicht mehr heimfahren. Ein riesiges Dankeschön an Philipp und seine Crew. Wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Abend. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Gemütliches Ambiente und sehr freundlicher Service. Wir hatten das 6-Gänge Menü mit Weinbegleitung welches wir sehr gelungen fanden. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Vielen lieben Dank für den tollen Abend. Wir haben das 4 und 6 Gänge Menü gegessen. Das Essen war großartig zubereitet. Jeder Gang für sich war ein Höhepunkt. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir haben uns direkt sehr wohl gefühlt.

Das Ambiente im Restaurant lädt bereits ein, abgerundet wird der Aufenthalt dann aber vom Service und dem Essen. Aufmerksamer und wirklich freundlicher Service. Die Qualität und der Geschmack vom Essen sind wirklich super. Wir kommen wieder!

This restaurant is a real jem. I really liked their menu - packed, a lot of techniques involved with certain misses, but overall score is given for Michelin standards. Amazing shrimps soup, quite good, but too sourish Black Angus tartar, great Venison and pale Iberico cutlet. Fantastic waiting staff, but too packed interior, no space between tables, feeling as if in a students canteen.

The food was ok, certainly not Michelin level, but there were some interesting combinations, however the service was worse than in much cheaper restaurants. We got the food to our table, but that’s about it, needed to pour our own drinks, the servers ranged from neutral to rude, e.g. just dropping cutlery or a drink in the middle of the table, without saying a word or even eye contact and immediately turning their back and going away. Don’t pay a 100 eur per person for this, there are much better places in Hamburg.

Wir haben hervorragend gegessen. Super Service-Team. Unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen.
