Pfeiffers Freiheit in Osterode am Harz

We ate at Pfeiffer's Freiheit today and I have to say, from the service to the food to the musical accompaniment 🤘 everything was perfect. A little tip on the side: enjoy a delicious dinner here on the first day of your vacation and pick up recommendations and tips for your vacation. 😉

We were in Osterode at the beginning of September 2024 and came across Pfeiffers Freiheit via Google. Overall, we were more than satisfied. The space itself is relatively small. It wasn't a problem for two people, but with a group, a reservation is definitely worth it. I found the drinks to be good. As a surprise, the kitchen offered a small appetizer, which was also really good. Many dishes on the menu sounded interesting to me. A good burger is always a treat. The burger I got, however, wasn't good, but it was one of the best I've had in years. The bun (from a local bakery) was fluffy, the meat was perfectly juicy, and the entire combination of the individual components was extremely well thought out. The food was also more than filling, so unfortunately, we didn't have time to try the homemade ice cream, which we'll definitely have to try again if I ever find myself in town again. Finally, the service was also excellent. During our stay, we built a truly pleasant customer relationship through small conversations about the ingredients in the food, travel tips, breakfast recommendations in the area, inquiries about where we were from, etc. Overall, I can only rate the visit highly and would be delighted to eat here again in the future. An inspiring menu in a minimalist restaurant. Absolutely excellent lamb shank and lovely wines. Really a nice evening. Thank you also for the personal address from the boss.

We ended up here by chance on Friday evening. Very inconspicuous from the outside, cozy and well-kept from the inside. The boss gave us the best advice, including hiking tips in the region. Then the culinary fireworks started. Actually very simple dishes: Bread with homemade dip as a starter, super tasty. Then we chose a burger and pasta. The burger tasted great and lived up to the name ChiliChees. The pasta was also to die for. The house schnapps is also recommended! We'd love to come back when we're in the region.

Food is very good, but not exactly cheap. The ambience doesn't match the prices. Local is very small. Service was very friendly, even the boss came and asked if everything was OK. You have to look for a parking space...

The best thing that can happen to food is to end up on Bernd Pfeiffer's stove. No matter how delicious and creative the main course was, you should always leave room for dessert. Because the homemade ice cream in a variety of flavors is also a dream. The friendly and attentive service leaves nothing to be desired.

Good, personal service from the owner, quality and taste are excellent. Small, renovated and modern guest room, reservation is advisable.

I have rarely felt as comfortable in a restaurant as I did here. All in all a successful evening. The food was first class, the hospitality was great and the atmosphere invited you to linger. I'll definitely be back!

Wir sind sehr spät im Restaurant angekommen. Es war überhaupt kein Problem auch mitten in der Woche nach 20 Uhr ein sehr leckeres, zügig und frisch zubereitetes Essen zu bekommen. Die Bedienung war super nett. Wenn wir noch mal in der Nähe sind, ist ein weiterer Besuch ein Muss.

Wir waren zum Abendessen in der Freiheit. Das Essen ist nach wie vor Mega. Wir kennen es noch vom ehemaligen Dacapo. Das Bruschetta Mega das Carpaccio lecker und auch die Burger 1A. Reservieren sollte man unbedingt, da die Pfeiffers Freiheit nur eine geringe Platzanzahl hat. Service perfekt, und gerade in der heutigen Zeit selten. Deswegen muss man das noch mal lobend erwähnen. Einzige Punkt, der mir persönlich nicht gefallen hat, waren die Sitzgelegenheiten. Wir haben an einem Stehtisch gesessen, der zwar relativ bequem war, aber ich mag es einfach nicht.

Das Essen war sehr gut 👍 auch der Service nett und zuvorkommend...Leider sehr klein und wenige Tische. Trotzdem ein muß!!! Grins...

wir hatten einen schönen Abend in diesem Restaurant. Da nur eine handvoll Tische vorhanden sind, sollte man auf jeden Fall reservieren. Die Karte ist nicht überladen und wechselt regelmäßig. Super Service. Freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Klein aber fein. Lecker und liebevoll zubereitete Gerichte. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett. Alles zusammen hatten wir einen sehr gemütlichen, lustigen Abend. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.

Qualitativ die erste Adresse in Osterode. Viele vegane/vegetarische Gerichte. Kreative Gerichte und interessantes Ambiente. Für mich immer wieder ein Genuss.
