Best pancake selection, delicious beer

A very quaint location where we've been several times. The staff is very friendly and enjoys engaging with guests. The food is very good, generous portions, and excellent value for money. We'd be happy to return.

Hello, The Pancake Mill deserves a full 4 stars from me. Atmosphere and Service: Cozy atmosphere, with plenty of tables available. However, the spacing is too narrow for my taste, so it can get a bit loud at times when it's busy. However, with the right tolerance, you can tolerate it. The young waitress who served us was absolutely top-notch. Balm for the eyes paired with a great voice, sharp and absolutely friendly. Five stars aren't enough for that. Food and Drinks: Basically, there's a very large selection of different dishes. Since I don't particularly like pancakes, I ordered a plain chicken breast schnitzel with a side salad (see picture). Quality-wise, everything was good, but the salad was a bit disappointing in terms of quantity. For the price of just under €5, I simply expected more. I was just about full. A small bottle of organic lemonade cost €3.70. It was delicious, but also quite expensive, in my opinion. Personal conclusion: A visit to the Pfandkuchen-Mühle is definitely worth it. I was particularly impressed by the service. You feel like you're paying for the ambiance (but that's OK, too). The value for money regarding the dishes and drinks could be improved, but the four-star rating is acceptable.

Due to its location directly on the main road, the terrace can be quite noisy at times. The service is very attentive. It remains incomprehensible that, although you can pay the bill by card, you can't add a tip. This is unfortunately not up to date.

Pancakes with a twist! Of course, they also have the classics! And also dishes without pancakes. There's truly something for everyone here! Also thanks to the frequently changing seasonal menu. They also have very (child-)friendly staff.

We received a warm welcome and were assigned a table, even though we arrived spontaneously. The large and extensive menu with many pancake dishes should have something for everyone. The food was good, though the "Jäherpfkuchen" (the filling) was a bit salty. Otherwise, the rest was good.

We come here often, sometimes as early as 11:30 during the week :-) or in the evening with a reservation. Uwe is a real service man. Last time we were outside with another colleague, who was having a bad day. He could have done the service himself, I'm alone... (BTW: The restaurant owner makes money from the drinks.) All in all, we like coming here, since we can walk if necessary. The prices are pretty steep, though.

We've been to Holland once or twice a year for several years, and actually every time. Unfortunately, our last visit wasn't so great. Everything was completely empty inside, so we had to wait in line, where people were assigned to the outside seats. After a bit of a wait, we were finally seated and were the only ones inside. It took more than a quarter of an hour for someone to come and take our order, even though there were plenty of staff at the counter. Guests who arrived after us were served immediately and received their food long before us. Only after repeated warnings did the food finally arrive. At the end, when it came to the cashier, they waited a long time in silence before returning the change, presumably in the hope that we would say, "That's right." This time, unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing.

We were there for the first time today (July 13, 2025). The service was very friendly, and the selection of dishes is enormous. They offered vegan, sweet, and savory omelets, as well as steak dishes, etc. It's hard to decide. I had an omelet with baked Camembert, pear, and cranberries, while my wife had an omelet with fresh mushrooms, ham, and cheese. Both were delicious, and we'll definitely be back for more. Highly recommended.

A beautiful half-timbered house dating back to the 17th century. The cuisine is homely. Vegetarian pancakes and a changing selection of current specials are also available. Service was fast and friendly, even during the busy Sunday evening. There's also an outdoor terrace.

As always, always good. The food is plentiful and reasonably priced. The service is always friendly and courteous. The dessert prices are a bit high, in my opinion. But everything is delicious. See you next time, can't be long...

A pancake place that crêpes expectations 🥞🇩🇪 Pfannkuchen Mühle specializes in German-style pancakes with every filling imaginable—sweet, savory, Mediterranean, traditional German… If it fits in a pancake, they’ll probably serve it. The interior seating is cozy and preferable, especially since the outdoor tables are right next to a road (read: not exactly peaceful dining). Bonus points for the playroom for kids, which makes this a great spot for families. Our food arrived in about 15 minutes, though it was a quiet day. Everything was presented nicely and tasted fresh. The menu leans creative and unique, but so do the prices—expect to pay 12 to 20€ per pancake. Luckily, they offer kids-sized portions, which are great if you're not starving or just want to try a little bit of everything without emptying your wallet. Overall, a charming and quirky stop that’s worth visiting—especially if you believe pancakes should never be confined to breakfast.

Incredibly delicious food, great service and ambience

No, we were there at 7 p.m. and weren't served. There was a group of 50 people there, and the restaurant closes at 8 p.m. We were simply brushed off.

The food was very good and the price was totally reasonable. The beer selection is a bit odd, and the pepper sauce was "different." But it's something special, after all. The steak was ordered rare, but it was actually more well-done. But let's not be like that, it's called a pancake mill.

Very pleasantly surprised. There's so much more than just pancakes. For example, schnitzel, fried potatoes, fries, salad, steak, and a traditional German dish. Everything was delicious. My family loved it too. We'll be back!

The Pfannkuchenmühle has been going strong for decades, and for good reason. The food is delicious, and the restaurant's ambiance is very pleasant. The charm of the half-timbered building is particularly evident in the upstairs area. The service is friendly, prompt, and attentive to the guests. If you're interested, you can also sit outside and listen to the popular biker route and its accompanying sounds.

Once again, I was greeted and served in a friendly manner 😊 The food was excellent. Pancakes are the signature dish, and they were delicious. There are many unusual pancake dishes. But the schnitzel with fried potatoes was also very tasty and freshly prepared. The ambiance is lovely in the old building with lots of cute details. We had dinner here for Mother's Day. The portions were generous for us. Parking wasn't a problem either. We sat outside but were impressed by the interior decor when we used the restroom. But the absolute highlight, in my opinion, was the friendly Italian waiter. We'd be happy to go again.

There were 14 of us there for Mother's Day. We booked 2 weeks in advance but no problem. The weather was great and although there was a table set aside for us in the restaurant, we were able to get a shady spot outside. Service was friendly, funny and accommodating. Food was very tasty and value for money was very good. We were thrilled and thank you very much for everything.

Simply great!! From the reservation (reserved online in the evening and already received the confirmation in the morning) to the hospitality (the entire staff was very friendly, courteous and attentive, the food was very good - in terms of taste as well as the portion and the price - quick preparation, fresh and attractively prepared) to the farewell (schnapps/liqueur for adults as well as gummy bears for the children and the presence of the waitress behind the counter) it was a great stay. Our stay only lasted an hour, but I can imagine spending longer here with my family next time. Here, every single person has understood how to make the guest feel welcome. (Attention - threat ;-)) We (2 children and 4 adults) felt completely at home and will now come here more often!!!! Best regards Reinhardt family

We had to postpone our reservation several times, but that wasn't a problem either :) Taking dogs wasn't a problem either 👍 The only drawback was that we had to wait a really long time for food. Certainly 20 minutes until the order was taken and then another good hour for the pancakes. But I can't say whether that's always the case. We will definitely come back again :)

Went there again after years and was pleasantly surprised again yesterday. The pancakes are super delicious. The selection is huge and it's really difficult to decide. The highlight were the gluten-free pancakes. Sohnemann was really excited and can't wait to come back here. We can easily recommend the pancake mill. Also for people with diagnosed celiac disease and lactose intolerance

We reserved a table for 6 people on a Saturday. Friendly service but without the necessary overview of which guests it was their turn to order and when. Because it was very busy in the restaurant, there were longer waiting times for drinks and food. Unfortunately, most of our food was lukewarm and cold. Food was reheated, which resulted in the pancakes being rubbery. Unfortunately we won't be going there on a weekend.

My husband booked a table here for Valentine's Day. Since we had already eaten pancakes somewhere else and absolutely loved them, we were really looking forward to the visit. When we arrived we were shown upstairs to the table. Very cozy, which we really liked. A few minutes after we sat at the table, the drinks order was taken and the food too. We both chose an appetizer. The drinks took a while (about 15 minutes) to arrive. Little by little more customers came. After the drinks, the starter took a good 30 minutes to arrive (a small salad with 3 Camembert donuts and a little bread with aioli). At the next table we were already aware of the long wait because the couple had brought a dice game with them. Would have been a good idea, because we don't know how to wait that long in a restaurant. From the starter, when we were finished, to the main course, it took another good 30 minutes (we had been there for over 1.5 hours by then). We chose the offer of the week and were very disappointed. A pancake with a patty in it, tomato, lettuce, onions in a sauce, which unfortunately was fried for too long for me because it was quite tough. The patty was supposed to be from wild boar, but somehow it didn't taste good at all. I've roasted and grilled wild boar myself. That tasted completely different. The service could also have been better. No matter where you eat, when the waitress comes over, they ask if everything is OK and check on the drinks. If empty you will be asked if you would like anything else. Here? None. The glasses stood empty at the edge of the table. It took a while for the waitress to become aware of us because, in addition to accepting the order and making payment, she also wanted to bring drinks to the wrong tables. There was also an audible “grim” because customers didn’t leave a tip. I'm sorry, but anyone who serves like that should be lucky if they even get a tip. There were others who helped there, but it seemed like they didn't want to share these tasks. That's not teamwork. My or our conclusion: we won't be going there again anytime soon. This restaurant wasn't for us either in terms of taste or service.

We went to the pancake mill today and were very excited. Right to start with the friendliness of the employees!!! Top 👍🏼 simply top 👍🏼 we had our puppy with us and water was brought to her immediately. Every waiter who came to our table asked if our dog had water. We felt very comfortable and the whole thing was topped off by the delicious food. Very tasty 👍🏼 we'll be back!!! Thank you for the kindness of the entire team

Food very tasty, large selection… also alternatives for people who don't want pancakes. Operation and service very friendly. Prices reasonable, not too expensive! Ambience a bit too dark for my taste (but it's also an old mill, very winding). But we were also there in winter and in the evening. I would definitely go again :-)

We celebrated my stepfather's 79th birthday on October 13, 2024. On the current menu there was the "Grandma Berta" pancake and one with game, which were a hit with us. First of all, a delicious 😋 pumpkin soup. We'll definitely be back there as guests at the next opportunity!!!

Durch Zufall von meiner Partnerin wieder entdeckt beim vorbeifahren. Dort war sie schon Jahrzehnten , als junges Mädchen mit Ihrer Mutter essen . Auf der Rückfahrt angehalten und eingekehrt. Es ist ein schönes altes Restaurant, super freundliches Personal, super Essen, schnell an den Tisch gebracht. Es wurde nachgefragt ob alles ok ist und es schmeckt. Wir hatten Pfannkuchen mit HackfleischsoMasse und es war eine gute Portion und super lecker. Nachtisch süßer Pfannkuchen dieser war auch perfekt. Vielen Dank , wir kommen wieder. Nur zu empfehlen

Great restaurant!!!!! Totally nice reception, even though it was quite full and it was stated at the entrance that the food might take longer due to staff shortages. Absolutely nothing was noticed. The food came quickly and was extremely tasty. Both savory and sweet. The little guests are also taken into consideration, which makes it more relaxing for the parents. We'd love to come back!!!

The service (especially a young man named Sven) was absolutely top, and the ambience was also great. The pancakes were excellent and particularly tasty. The only thing for which there are small deductions were the other main courses (everything was rather dry, not very seasoned and quite expensive).

Been there for the first time, a charming rustic restaurant in a historic half-timbered house. The reception was very friendly. I ate the host's recommendation, a pancake with sauerbraten, red cabbage and very tasty, sweet and sour sauce, my partner the pancake with chicken breast and tarragon sauce. Both very tasty. Good selection of draft beers and wines. We definitely weren't there for the last time!

Went to the mill on Saturday for our Christmas dinner with 12 people, everyone enjoyed it, the food was good, the service was good and we certainly weren't there for the last time.
