Pfandl Wirt in Ottobrunn

I was spontaneously looking for a restaurant that's open all afternoon – and I found it! I was here about two weeks ago, arrived around 2:30 a.m., when many others had already closed, and received a warm welcome. Very friendly service (probably even from the owner himself), who allowed me to enjoy a delicious dish from the lunch menu even though it was already late. Pleasant atmosphere, busy, and all-around friendly. I'll definitely be back, and this time not alone 😊

This is the third time we've been to the Pfandlwirt with our regulars, and we're absolutely thrilled with the place. The quality of the food is simply outstanding, and the prices are truly fair. The ambiance is very cozy and clean, and the owner and his staff exemplify hospitality down to the smallest detail. I can highly recommend the Pfandlwirt in every respect.

Top food and very nice service.

We had three different dishes, and they all tasted like Maggi seasoning. The service was very friendly.

I have known the landlord for many years and I can say that for me Pfandl is one of the best Bavarian delicacies restaurants in the southeast of Munich. Perfect service and the high level underline the positive overall impression. Come by, eat deliciously and enjoy at affordable prices. There is Augustiner beer 👍😉

Excellent "Alpine" cuisine and friendly service. Everything is appetizingly prepared in pans, and side dish changes are also accepted at no extra charge. Every Wednesday evening, an original fried chicken dish is offered, which is authentically served in three pieces and not, as is often the case, a breaded chicken breast. Highly recommended!!! ☆☆☆☆☆

We had a perfect experience last night for our 12th wedding anniversary. The food and dessert were fantastic. And I haven't experienced such great service in a long time. We will definitely be back.

We got a table at the Pfandl Wirt on short notice. The owner was truly a host, and we felt very comfortable and well looked after. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Unfortunately, the parking lot is very limited, with only three spaces. If we're ever in Munich or the surrounding area again, we'd be happy to come back.

Excellent food. The Kaiserschmarren, in particular, was really delicious and, above all, fresh. Beautifully presented and reasonably priced for the area. The owner was very friendly and accommodating.

Highly recommended. We were here for the first time today. We opted for a Braumeister schnitzel and the gourmet skewers. The cheese spaetzle that accompanied it was fantastic. The side salad was delicious, but I would have preferred more variety. The Kaiserschmarrn was the best we've ever had. Definitely try it. The service was also super friendly, attentive, and quick. We ordered our food to go! Given the excellent reviews, the price didn't immediately put us off. When we saw the food (cheese spaetzle and cordon bleu), we were a bit shocked! The cheese spaetzle were swimming in fat, making them inedible. The cordon bleu was okay, but the value for money isn't right! We'd rather drive a few minutes further into Munich!

This is a wonderful place – with such a great atmosphere! The owner is fantastic, always attentive and welcoming. The dish is simply the best I've tasted in all of Germany – and the sauce is simply unbelievably delicious. A true taste experience!

Even after several visits, it's always a feast. The food may be a bit on the pricier side, but it's definitely worth it. The service is also excellent.

At the Pfandlwirt, it's like coming home. We are always warmly welcomed. It's wonderful to experience how warm, hospitable, and appreciative every person, no matter where they come from, whether they are young or old, rich or poor, etc., is welcomed and cared for by the chef and all the staff, including the kitchen staff. Even every animal is greeted individually. Not only is hospitality a top priority here, but I'd also like to mention the loving attention to detail in the lettering on the menu boards and the heartily selected sayings inside the restaurant, as well as the table decorations. Now for the food: Not only do they serve the best Kaiserschmarrn I've ever eaten, but after a long search, I found a place that serves excellent Sauerbraten (sauerbraten). (Unfortunately, not always; you have to check the changing weekly menu... but I'm all the more pleased about that 😊) The meat is of high quality, as the changing weekly menu shows. So many special requests are accommodated here... . I'm constantly reminded that hospitality and catering aren't a job here, but a calling. Thank you so much for being there 🤗

It was our first time eating here—and definitely not our last! Both the rib-eye steak and the roast beef were outstanding and worth every penny! Added to that is the attentive, great service, which is very rare these days. The chef himself even helps out and always takes a moment for a friendly chat with each guest. We popped in spontaneously and were lucky enough to snag a table—but a reservation is definitely recommended. By the way, dogs are also welcome, which made us very happy 🤗

Wer einmal beim Pfandlwirt gegessen hat, weiss, was gute Küche leisten kann! Wer öfter dort isst, erkennt die enorm große Auswahl an Gerichten, die immer excellent zubereitet sind. Zu den verschiedensten Zutaten gibt es in diesem Seiselokal unter anderem 5 verschieden zubereitete Kartoffeln. Das ist großartig!!

I highly recommend this restaurant. Good food and friendly service! There were three of us, and everyone enjoyed an excellent meal. The desserts also left nothing to be desired. Free parking was available right in front of the restaurant.

My dear husband saw this wonderful location out of the corner of his eye as he drove by. We quickly decided to go in, and we were sooooooooooo happy and equally impressed to discover our "favorite server." This friendly young man had made it and made his dream come true. He happily told us that he was now the Pfandl Wirt (a German restaurant owner). And we were happy for him. Unfortunately, we didn't take any photos of our dishes, but we would like to recommend this wonderful restaurant in Ottobrunn to all those who love their favorite food. Quality meets skill, execution in the kitchen and service – a solid 10 out of 10 🌟 We look forward to seeing you and will be back soon!!!

Thank you for the wonderful wedding meal! We came here for lunch with our immediate family (14 people) after our civil wedding. The reservation was easy and friendly. On the day itself, a large table was decorated for us, and we were able to eat a little away from the other guests in a pleasant atmosphere. Even our grandmothers, who normally cook traditional dishes and are therefore picky, quickly found the perfect dish for themselves. The food was delicious, and the portions were really good value for money. A table display for the bride and groom! We were delighted to receive a special treat from the house in the form of dessert with table display. All in all, it was exactly the right place for us… Thank you

Yesterday we went to the Pfandlwirt again. The food was excellent as always. The dessert was sensational. We have already tried several dishes and each of them tasted great.

We discovered the Pfandl Wirt by chance. Without further ado, we spontaneously went to the restaurant and, with luck, got a seat for four. The food was more than good, including the gourmet skewer and the game pot. Even though we were already full, we ordered the Kaiserschmarrn. At the end it was the icing on the cake for a very successful evening. Of course also very nice and attentive staff. Thanks and we'll definitely stop by again when we're in the area again

Here you can taste that everything is freshly cooked. Service super attentive and friendly. All dishes are served in pans or soups in small pots. Exceptional applies to everything you can experience here! Absolute “must-try” recommendation!

To eat Tafelspitz at Pfandl. It's nice to sit in the garden when it's nice. Good quality. The pan is very hot and you can easily burn yourself.

If you're looking for typical Bavarian cuisine, the Pfandl Wirt is the right place for you. You know exactly what to expect and in good quality. The service was as one could wish for, our wishes were fulfilled and everyone was very friendly. Personally, I still have to deduct stars because the standard menu offers no surprises and doesn't think outside the Bavarian box. If the food wasn't served in pans, you could be in any Bavarian restaurant. If you want to eat vegetarian, you have to be content with side dishes. The time out in the clubhouse, a small restaurant nearby that serves modern Bavarian cuisine, proves that there is another way.

Unfortunately I don't agree with the positive reviews. In my opinion the schnitzel was of poor quality. Breading was not wavy and came off immediately. What appeared underneath was something that didn't look like good meat. Fries were completely hard and barely edible. Seemed like it had been warmed up several times. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. At least right at the table. As soon as you turned around, the corners of your mouth dropped and your eyes rolled back. Not good service for me. And of course not a reasonable price for the quality.

From the equipment, the service to the excellent food to the espresso, everything is excellent! A very well-kept restaurant. We'll be back! Heidi Aschberger

A wonderful restaurant with excellent food! The staff is extremely attentive, warm and creates an atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home. The dishes are handmade with a lot of love - especially the spaetzle, whose quality you can taste straight away. The combination of first-class cuisine and fair prices makes this restaurant a real insider tip. An absolute must for all lovers of Bavarian cuisine!

Food was very good and service was very nice. The portions were sufficient, some quite decent... except for the onion roast, which I unfortunately ordered. I just got home and am preparing myself some bread... For €26 the main course usually fills me up...

The welcome was very warm, we were asked every now and then if everything was okay and we were very accommodating. The portions were more than sufficient and very good. But you should definitely be a meat fan. Of course there are also vegetarian dishes. The apple cakes were the best. The idea with the pawns is very nice. Everything is clean. The prices are ok. We were looking forward to a cozy Kaiserschmarrn in the restaurant, but this was quickly disappointed. Although we were initially assured of a table for two, we were later asked to share the table with other guests. When we politely declined, we were told that the table could not be used for “only Kaiserschmarrn”. It was possible to take it with you, but without any discount or concession. The best thing: We received our food without cutlery, had to specifically ask for it and were asked to bring it back after eating it outside in sub-zero temperatures. The behavior of the staff and the entire process were absolutely unacceptable. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this visit to anyone.

We came to the Pfandl Wirt by chance. We were looking for a place that was open on Mondays. Big surprise. Very tasty food. Great price-performance ratio. Super nice staff. We would love to come back. Only recommended.

It was a real pleasure to eat at the Pfandl Wirt. Unfortunately we didn't take any photos, but it was really sensational. We ate beautiful roast pork, which was of course served in a hot Pfandl with a potato dumpling, as well as a bread dumpling and delicious homemade coleslaw. Incredible, good natural sauce without packages, with fine white wine Chardonnay and an honest Augustiner Helles. The restaurant was completely reserved today (on a Monday), no wonder given the wonderful food and at a fair price. So be sure to reserve in advance. The owner is MEGA friendly and relaxed, despite the restaurant being full. Thank you very much to the entire Pfandl team, you were great and gave us a special day.

We really enjoyed being here, but the quality of the meat and the general taste have deteriorated a lot. The cordon bleu was not edible for someone with dentures, the fried potatoes were mushy and not enjoyable due to burnt onions, the side salad was forgotten and only served when asked... it wasn't busy and only one came when they brought their salad. The Chamipinon schnitzel meat was soft but the sauce was either from the packet or extremely flavor enhancing and the spaetzle had some spice in the dough. The friendliness of the landlord, who himself complains that he works 7 days a week, has also declined significantly. The service was friendly when paying. I can partly understand it, but then take a rest day... it's a real shame because the first time it was open it was incredibly good here. But we haven't eaten well the last four times.

Had Christmas dinner with the family on December 25th. there. Very friendly and attentive staff. The food was plentiful and very tasty.
