Pfandl Wirt in Ottobrunn

I'm only rating here to protest against the system.

We absolutely loved the food at Pfandel Wirt this evening! We had two schnitzels, one spaetzle with cheese, and one creamy goulash. Everything was very well cooked. The meat was tender and all the side dishes were good. The salad was fresh and crisp! The service was very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed a very good meal! We recommend Pfandel Wirt to anyone in the area! Enjoy!

We love the Pfandlwirt and come here as often as we can because everything is just right here! Superb cuisine, consistently top quality, everything served in "Pfanderln" (small pans) and always cooked with love. Very warm and excellent service. The host and staff are always cheerful, friendly, courteous, and helpful. Special requests are no problem here. The ambiance is cozy, elegant, and chic. The floral arrangements are very pretty, always fresh, in keeping with the season, and the atmosphere is particularly lovely. A place to feel good! For us, the Pfandlwirt is second to none, and we can recommend it with absolute confidence!

The three of us were there on October 3, 2025. The food was excellent, the portion sizes were reasonable. The chef and staff were super friendly. And they served festival beer on tap. What more could you want?

Great food, great service, top value for money! We're so happy you found your way to Ottobrunn - keep it up! :-) - We were there again today, and my utmost respect goes to the entire team. We were truly shocked that there are guests who think they can treat the staff like slaves—zero respect, no please, no thank you... I want that, and even that was too much. Guests like that would have left long ago, but despite the tone, they were served in a friendly and quick manner. I take my hat off to you; I couldn't afford that!

Back here after a year and still completely satisfied. This time, I had the Brauherren Schnitzel. A good portion, arrived quickly and piping hot. The restaurant was busy, and we still managed to get a table without a reservation. Very friendly service. Parking was no problem, as it was within walking distance of the Hotel Atlantik. And also by car!!! Parking on the parallel street!!! A rustic Bavarian inn with many different manor-style dishes. Almost everything (including salad) is served in pans. There were five of us, and every dish made me question: Did I choose the right thing? ... I wanted to eat all five! That was the Lumberjack Steak. Excellent! Prices are standard for 2024... but the portions were also decent. Drinks at standard prices. Super attentive and friendly service. Conclusion: I'll be here at least one evening on my next stay in Ottobrunn!

I celebrated my birthday at the Pfandlwirt... and what can I say... ??? Everything, absolutely everything, was perfect... the decor, the food was excellent, my guests were thrilled!! The roast beef with onions was amazing. The Tyrolean bacon dumpling soup was also legendary. Excellent and friendly service.

We spontaneously stopped by last night and were absolutely thrilled! We received a warm welcome from the chef, the entire staff was super friendly and personable, and the service was excellent. We had the grilled salmon and the gourmet skewer: sensationally well-made, and finally, the portions were filling! The meat and fish were perfectly prepared and tasted incredibly good! Thank you so much, and we'll be back! A restaurant visit just like you'd wish :)

We celebrated my mother-in-law's 70th birthday at the Pfandlwirt in Ottobrunn and were absolutely thrilled! 🎉 I was in charge of the decor and received fantastic support from the entire team – the coordination was super straightforward and welcoming. The food was excellent, as always; all the guests were thrilled and felt very comfortable. A huge thank you to the Pfandlwirt team – we'd love to come back anytime!

Unfortunately, the last visit was somewhat disappointing; at least this time, the prices and quality didn't match. The fried onions, although homemade, were completely stale, dull, and even charred, which unfortunately made the entire dish taste burnt. However, the service was attentive, and my companion's dish was fine.

I had roast pork with fried potatoes and Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. Everything was exactly as it should be: the meat was very tender, the crust absolutely perfect, and the Kaiserschmarrn was exceptionally well made – right by the book. The portions were more than generous. The service was equally exemplary. I'd happily return!

Not only the hosts but also the owner are just as good as the food – simply outstanding! The overall concept is convincing; you can tell Armin has been in this business forever – not to mention the kitchen crew; you have magical hands. Thanks to the entire team.

Yesterday I was here for the first and probably last time. I don't quite understand the 4.8 stars. We had the liver and the roast beef with onions, both with not so tasty onions (hard and cold, not fresh and crispy). The gravy tasted like a ready-made product, and the mashed potatoes also tasted like they came from a packet. The dishes arrived very quickly after ordering. We were only there with one other couple, but it was still extremely fast. For the price, I expect better quality. Service was okay.

I highly recommend this restaurant. Very friendly staff, all the dishes taste very good, and the prices are reasonable and low. Every time I go out to eat, it's pure relaxation for me and I like to relax. The prices are very reasonable, with two dishes to choose from at lunchtime. Even for pensioners who don't have much money, they can afford to go out to eat. The restaurant is well attended and highly recommended. I eat there 3-4 times a week.

I was spontaneously looking for a restaurant that's open all afternoon – and I found it! I was here about two weeks ago, arrived around 2:30 a.m., when many others had already closed, and received a warm welcome. Very friendly service (probably even from the owner himself), who allowed me to enjoy a delicious dish from the lunch menu even though it was already late. Pleasant atmosphere, busy, and all-around friendly. I'll definitely be back, and this time not alone 😊

I've known the owner for many years, and I can honestly say that, in my opinion, Pfandl is one of the best Bavarian delicacies restaurants in southeastern Munich. Impeccable service and a high standard underscore the positive overall impression. Stop by, enjoy delicious food, and reasonable prices. They also serve Augustiner beer 👍😉

Excellent "Alpine" cuisine and friendly service. Everything is appetizingly prepared in pans, and side dish changes are also accepted at no extra charge. Every Wednesday evening, an original fried chicken dish is offered, which is authentically served in three pieces and not, as is often the case, a breaded chicken breast. Highly recommended!!! ☆☆☆☆☆

We got a table at the Pfandl Wirt on short notice. The owner was truly a host, and we felt very comfortable and well looked after. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Unfortunately, the parking lot is very limited, with only three spaces. If we're ever in Munich or the surrounding area again, we'd be happy to come back.

We ordered our food to go! Given the excellent reviews, the price didn't immediately put us off. When we saw the food (cheese spaetzle and cordon bleu), we were a bit shocked! The cheese spaetzle were swimming in fat, making them inedible. The cordon bleu was okay, but the value for money isn't right! We'd rather drive a few minutes further into Munich!

At the Pfandlwirt, it's like coming home. We are always warmly welcomed. It's wonderful to experience how warm, hospitable, and appreciative every person, no matter where they come from, whether they are young or old, rich or poor, etc., is welcomed and cared for by the chef and all the staff, including the kitchen staff. Even every animal is greeted individually. Not only is hospitality a top priority here, but I'd also like to mention the loving attention to detail in the lettering on the menu boards and the heartily selected sayings inside the restaurant, as well as the table decorations. Now for the food: Not only do they serve the best Kaiserschmarrn I've ever eaten, but after a long search, I found a place that serves excellent Sauerbraten (sauerbraten). (Unfortunately, not always; you have to check the changing weekly menu... but I'm all the more pleased about that 😊) The meat is of high quality, as the changing weekly menu shows. So many special requests are accommodated here... . I'm constantly reminded that hospitality and catering aren't a job here, but a calling. Thank you so much for being there 🤗

It was our first time eating here—and definitely not our last! Both the rib-eye steak and the roast beef were outstanding and worth every penny! Added to that is the attentive, great service, which is very rare these days. The chef himself even helps out and always takes a moment for a friendly chat with each guest. We popped in spontaneously and were lucky enough to snag a table—but a reservation is definitely recommended. By the way, dogs are also welcome, which made us very happy 🤗

Wer einmal beim Pfandlwirt gegessen hat, weiss, was gute Küche leisten kann! Wer öfter dort isst, erkennt die enorm große Auswahl an Gerichten, die immer excellent zubereitet sind. Zu den verschiedensten Zutaten gibt es in diesem Seiselokal unter anderem 5 verschieden zubereitete Kartoffeln. Das ist großartig!!

My dear husband saw this wonderful location out of the corner of his eye as he drove by. We quickly decided to go in, and we were sooooooooooo happy and equally impressed to discover our "favorite server." This friendly young man had made it and made his dream come true. He happily told us that he was now the Pfandl Wirt (a German restaurant owner). And we were happy for him. Unfortunately, we didn't take any photos of our dishes, but we would like to recommend this wonderful restaurant in Ottobrunn to all those who love their favorite food. Quality meets skill, execution in the kitchen and service – a solid 10 out of 10 🌟 We look forward to seeing you and will be back soon!!!

Thank you for the wonderful wedding meal! We came here for lunch with our immediate family (14 people) after our civil wedding. The reservation was easy and friendly. On the day itself, a large table was decorated for us, and we were able to eat a little away from the other guests in a pleasant atmosphere. Even our grandmothers, who normally cook traditional dishes and are therefore picky, quickly found the perfect dish for themselves. The food was delicious, and the portions were really good value for money. A table display for the bride and groom! We were delighted to receive a special treat from the house in the form of dessert with table display. All in all, it was exactly the right place for us… Thank you

We discovered the Pfandl Wirt by chance. Without further ado, we spontaneously went to the restaurant and, with luck, got a seat for four. The food was more than good, including the gourmet skewer and the game pot. Even though we were already full, we ordered the Kaiserschmarrn. At the end it was the icing on the cake for a very successful evening. Of course also very nice and attentive staff. Thanks and we'll definitely stop by again when we're in the area again

Here you can taste that everything is freshly cooked. Service super attentive and friendly. All dishes are served in pans or soups in small pots. Exceptional applies to everything you can experience here! Absolute “must-try” recommendation!

To eat Tafelspitz at Pfandl. It's nice to sit in the garden when it's nice. Good quality. The pan is very hot and you can easily burn yourself.
