Pfandl Wirt in Ottobrunn

If you're looking for typical Bavarian cuisine, the Pfandl Wirt is the right place for you. You know exactly what to expect and in good quality. The service was as one could wish for, our wishes were fulfilled and everyone was very friendly. Personally, I still have to deduct stars because the standard menu offers no surprises and doesn't think outside the Bavarian box. If the food wasn't served in pans, you could be in any Bavarian restaurant. If you want to eat vegetarian, you have to be content with side dishes. The time out in the clubhouse, a small restaurant nearby that serves modern Bavarian cuisine, proves that there is another way.

Unfortunately I don't agree with the positive reviews. In my opinion the schnitzel was of poor quality. Breading was not wavy and came off immediately. What appeared underneath was something that didn't look like good meat. Fries were completely hard and barely edible. Seemed like it had been warmed up several times. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. At least right at the table. As soon as you turned around, the corners of your mouth dropped and your eyes rolled back. Not good service for me. And of course not a reasonable price for the quality.

Great freshly prepared pan-fried dishes, small portions are also possible, changing lunch menus. Reservations are recommended as the restaurant in Ottobrunn is highly recommended.

Price/performance ratio is right, friendly, fast service, reservations are easy (even with a larger family) ... gladly again

My husband and I recently visited your restaurant and absolutely loved it! The food was excellent – ​​everything was very tasty and authentic. We were particularly impressed by the large selection of dishes, especially the daily and weekly menu - a practical and interesting concept. The service was first class: the staff was polite, attentive and always helpful. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Thank you for this great experience, we will definitely be back!

A wonderful restaurant with excellent food! The staff is extremely attentive, warm and creates an atmosphere in which you immediately feel at home. The dishes are handmade with a lot of love - especially the spaetzle, whose quality you can taste straight away. The combination of first-class cuisine and fair prices makes this restaurant a real insider tip. An absolute must for all lovers of Bavarian cuisine!

Food was very good and service was very nice. The portions were sufficient, some quite decent... except for the onion roast, which I unfortunately ordered. I just got home and am preparing myself some bread... For €26 the main course usually fills me up...

The welcome was very warm, we were asked every now and then if everything was okay and we were very accommodating. The portions were more than sufficient and very good. But you should definitely be a meat fan. Of course there are also vegetarian dishes. The apple cakes were the best. The idea with the pawns is very nice. Everything is clean. The prices are ok. All in all a good restaurant

We were looking forward to a cozy Kaiserschmarrn in the restaurant, but this was quickly disappointed. Although we were initially assured of a table for two, we were later asked to share the table with other guests. When we politely declined, we were told that the table could not be used for “only Kaiserschmarrn”. It was possible to take it with you, but without any discount or concession. The best thing: We received our food without cutlery, had to specifically ask for it and were asked to bring it back after eating it outside in sub-zero temperatures. The behavior of the staff and the entire process were absolutely unacceptable. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this visit to anyone.

After a long time we were here again spontaneously and with a bit of luck we were able to get a spot (Sunday evening). Reservation recommended! We had "Cordon Bleu" and venison ragout. We came to the Pfandl Wirt by chance. We were looking for a place that was open on Mondays. Big surprise. Very tasty food. Great price-performance ratio. Super nice staff. We would love to come back. Only recommended.

It was a real pleasure to eat at the Pfandl Wirt. Unfortunately we didn't take any photos, but it was really sensational. We ate beautiful roast pork, which was of course served in a hot Pfandl with a potato dumpling, as well as a bread dumpling and delicious homemade coleslaw. Incredible, good natural sauce without packages, with fine white wine Chardonnay and an honest Augustiner Helles. The restaurant was completely reserved today (on a Monday), no wonder given the wonderful food and at a fair price. So be sure to reserve in advance. The owner is MEGA friendly and relaxed, despite the restaurant being full. Thank you very much to the entire Pfandl team, you were great and gave us a special day.

Had Christmas dinner with the family on December 25th. there. Very friendly and attentive staff. The food was plentiful and very tasty.

We really enjoyed being here, but the quality of the meat and the general taste have deteriorated a lot. The cordon bleu was not edible for someone with dentures, the fried potatoes were mushy and not enjoyable due to burnt onions, the side salad was forgotten and only served when asked... it wasn't busy and only one came when they brought their salad. The Chamipinon schnitzel meat was soft but the sauce was either from the packet or extremely flavor enhancing and the spaetzle had some spice in the dough. The friendliness of the landlord, who himself complains that he works 7 days a week, has also declined significantly. The service was friendly when paying. I can partly understand it, but then take a rest day... it's a real shame because the first time it was open it was incredibly good here. But we haven't eaten well the last four times.

We went here because of the good reviews. Unfortunately we didn't seem to have a good day. I had a cordon bleu, unfortunately the meat was very tough. When I asked, the side salad that was on the menu was added. The fried potatoes were lukewarm and not crispy and the onions were burnt and transferred that taste to the potatoes. The other food wasn't really a hit either. I don't think we'll be back, even if the restaurant would otherwise be quite nice and the service is so friendly.

I can't understand the pretty good reviews. 2 x Cordon Bleue seemed like ready-made frozen food to me. Roast onion roast with the cheapest fried onion BRUSHES out of the bag doesn't work at all! Meat was OK. I have often made fried potatoes much better myself. Drinks and service were fine. One visit is enough for me. Another review posted a picture of an onion roast here. This is how I imagine an onion roast. Mine didn't look so positive.

I was eating at the Pfandlwirt last Monday and had oven-fresh duck that was excellent and very fresh and I will be coming back more often now.

Very, very friendly host and waitresses. A pleasant stay with very good food and courteous service. Nice surprise (apple cake served with a fire fountain) for our birthday “child”. Great atmosphere and a beautifully set table for our small celebration (6 people). All in all 100% recommended. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Once upon a time...I've eaten there before. It was good. Once the cordon bleu came running. That can happen. Today the Wiener Schnitzel was burnt again. I let it go back. The second one was fried too spicy in some places. But hunger didn't quite do it either. It was just too bad. The boss didn't think the schnitzel was burnt. Still boasted that he was a chef. I smiled because the person opposite was also a chef. But you don't have to be a chef to not burn a schnitzel. All dishes here are served in one pan. It's good if the food goes with it. It just doesn't suit some people. It's not always easy to eat from it either. Anyone who likes it will probably find it great.

Great restaurant. We come from Duisburg and often visit our daughter in Munich. Because of the great reviews, we tried Pfandl and what can we say, we eat there every time we visit. We had our team event here. Food came quickly and all 15 people had their food almost at the same time. One point deducted for the size of the food. Could be more for the price. But the rest was great. Staff very friendly and quick. We will come by again.

🥰 You will find so much heart and so much love here at the Pfandlwirt. Love can be found in everything here. The food here is cooked with love and you can simply taste it. It tastes wonderful! The meat is tender, to the point. I had soup and Kaiserschmarrn and my husband had meat. The soup was heavenly and the Kaiserschmarrn was airy and fluffy, with roasted almonds...hm...a bit caramelized ~ simply a delight. But here's a small note: with plum roaster it's brilliant for me. Applesauce is included. The boss of the house is a soul of a human being. He works with heart and mind and immediately senses when something is missing. My feeling is that he loves working, he loves people... you come in as a guest and he's just happy that you're there - and you feel comfortable. How could it be otherwise? Love is in the dishes - it's served in the pawn and the soup in the pot - just great. The Pfandlwirt is pleasant to sit on, the chairs and benches are comfortable! The selection of dishes is appropriate. All in all - wonderful for me! A place to feel good! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality! 🙏🥰

Our whole family agreed that this was the best meal and experience of our entire 5-country Europe holiday. The food was delicious and the beer was straight out of Oktoberfest selection. Our waitress was congenial and efficient. The location is perfect for an enjoyable evening dining either outside in the patio area or inside – the whole location had a nice ambiance. Yesterday we went to a small birthday party at the Pfandl Wirt. There is a wonderful selection of dishes and always a varied weekly menu. The food came very quickly and was very tasty. The staff is also absolutely friendly and accommodating. Next time we are in Ottobrunn we will definitely eat here again. An absolute recommendation for a wonderful dinner.

I am very satisfied with the food and everywhere is very clean

I picked up mock roast here with only potato dumplings. The special order was no problem at all and was freshly prepared. The roast pork with dumplings was prepared very quickly and tasted really good. Service on site was extremely friendly.

Status as of today: the best (Bavarian/traditional) food currently in Ottobrunn. -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------- After a year I have to correct my previous assessment somewhat. I deducted one star because the waiting time for the food is often very long (up to 45 minutes).

Our visit to the Pfandlwirt (outdoor area) was really great. The service staff was on point, very courteous and attentive and kept asking if everything was OK and looking for empty drink glasses. The warning that the pans are hot should be taken seriously - yes, I can confirm that, you should be careful. An accidental short touch already leaves a mark 😇. In my opinion the price-performance ratio was fair. The food was very good, the portion size was OK. The Kaiserschmarrn was a poem! It took a while, but it was freshly prepared. In short; Absolutely recommended! We'd love to come back.

After ordering drinks, the children played Uno to pass the waiting time until food. The innkeeper then told us to leave the card game behind. Reason otherwise other guests would like that too and he doesn't want that. We went. Child-friendly is something else

The hosts and service are very warm and very accommodating. Every dish we ordered was extremely tasty...whether Wiener Schnitzel or roast pork. Lumberjack steak and especially the Kaiserschmarrn as a dessert, the food is great. Our little daughter now really likes schnitzel 🤣. Dogs are also warmly welcomed. I always enjoy coming back at lunchtime and enjoying the various offers throughout the week. At the weekend, the lunch menu for the coming week is already online. This way I can plan better. The prices are very moderate. Very good service, short waiting times, good rose wine. The food is excellent and always prepared with love. I will gladly come again.
