Petit Bistro Español in Illingen

For me it has absolutely nothing to do with Spanish cuisine. Luckily I only ate appetizers to test and e.g. prawns were too salty, too greasy and old fat, the tortilla was really disgusting with fat, even the second one that came after after criticism. Huge onion salad, bad cheap olive oil. For every dish, the same ready-made garlic sauce from the bottle, it resists straight away. The squid rings and baguette were the best, of course everything was frozen, ready in less than 5 minutes, there's no good thing that fast Food is served... And you have to write the numbers of the food on pieces of paper because the German language is probably not well spoken. Absolutely not recommended for me, especially not for the price and for someone who knows what it is like and tastes like in Spain. Especially since there are no Spaniards... And only two other couples in the restaurant. At least the waiter was nice as far as 3 words were spoken….

A really, really cute little restaurant, the food is honestly very good and lovingly designed and processed. Service was friendly and everything was really good all around. The portions are more than generous and the price-performance level is more than just fair. The location is a bit away from the center of the town, which isn't a bad thing because the town center is very, very quiet on a Monday evening. It simply needs to be visited more because the owners try their hardest to make everything perfect in all areas. As a small note, I would have liked the albondigas (meatballs) to have been made myself and not as a manufactured product and the small fried fish would have been the larger version (boquerones fritas), but that is personal taste. Everything else and we ordered three people across the menu, honestly absolutely perfect. We'd love to come back

There were 3 of us and we ordered a paella with chicken for the 3 people, which was very tasty 😋 Since we didn't pack everything, I got it packed. Dessert with chocolate ice cream, truffle chocolate with cream and cappuccino were the perfect ending. We'll be back

We ate with friends at the Petit Bistro Español...we chose different tapas...all the tapas were very tasty and plentiful...my favorite was the one with fried black pudding with onions...the service was great very nice and attentive...We will come back...P.S...It would be good if the tables were a little bigger...because of the tapas if you order with 4 people it will be tight.....

Everything was great from start to finish.

The tapas are decent portions, which will fill you up without ordering up and down the entire menu. The food tastes good and is prepared with love. Unfortunately, the outside of the restaurant is off-putting at first, but the inside is okay, clean but unfortunately a bit over-decorated (that's just a matter of taste). The staff is very friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

We were here for the first time and are very satisfied. Delicious, sumptuous tapas that are easily enough for 2. The staff are very friendly and make sure you don't miss anything. The price-performance ratio is also completely ok. We will definitely come back.

Tapas good.except the small fish! Service a bit slow. The mixed paella was tasty, but there was still a lot of room for improvement. The seafood I counted had no taste.

It's great here. The owner is really cool , friendly and has a nice, clean restaurant here. Small but nice. His new waiter is also really great and fits into the restaurant much better than the previous ones. Now the little bistro is really great. It's best to reserve in advance. It tastes great. A real insider tip.

What can I say...I didn't know there was such a great Spanish bistro in Illingen 😃. It is very small, you have to book in advance. I really felt like I was on vacation, the tapas was excellent. All fresh ingredients and it tastes great. Big compliments to the chef 👍. We will be back definitely. If you love tapas and paella, this is the place for you. Large portions and affordable. 5 stars 😊

Very friendly, Spanish speaking staff. The food is equally delicious and authentically Spanish. I can only recommend! We only had tapas, so we can only rate the tapas so far.

The tapas we ordered came every second. One tastier than the other. The three of us were already full before the fantastic paella was served. Service is super friendly and attentive. Even played custom music. The bistro is very small, so a reservation makes sense. Definitely happy to come back.

I went to Petit Bistro Espaniol for the first time last night. The food was very good and very large tapas portions. Pretty petit the bistro.

We discovered the bistro by chance and are thrilled. A little away from the center and inconspicuous from the outside. Even more beautiful from the inside. Small and cozy is probably the right expression, coupled with a nice host (who personally comes by the table every now and then and asks if everything is okay) and his staff. A welcoming and familiar atmosphere quickly emerges. On the first visit we tried the seafood and chicken paella, on the second visit we tried various tapas. Both are highly recommended, taste very good and, in our opinion, have a good price-performance ratio, which cannot always be said for tapas. We have booked a birthday in the cozy vaulted room for April and are looking forward to it.

The bistro is very small, there are only a few tables. So you should definitely make a reservation. The visit is absolutely worth it. The food - we had paella - was great, like in Spain. The sangria was also homemade and very good. The service was also good, quick and friendly. So overall a very nice evening.

I don't know where you can eat more authentic Spanish food in Saarland :-). Great value for money. Absolutely sufficient selection of SPANISH food and drinks, very nice service. The only small point of criticism: "cool" lighting and inappropriate decorative napkins on the table. Both could be more “Spanish” ;-).

Very authentic Spanish food. Fresh and delicious. A really highly recommended paella. Service and especially the owner are extremely friendly and you immediately feel at home. Deduction solely because of the ambience. There is room for improvement when it comes to furnishings and decoration. I would also like to see a pretty bound menu instead of laminated sheets. The toilet could also use an upgrade. We still like coming here because it tastes great.

Delicious typical Spanish dishes and tapas. Very friendly service, the boss cooks himself. The tapas are numbered and you write the numbers on pieces of paper provided. They are then served one by one. Moderate prices. You can pay in cash or with PayPal, not with a card. Unfortunately we live too far away, otherwise we would come more often.

Once again we visited Bistro Español and really enjoyed it. On a warm late summer evening we celebrated my birthday on Luis' terrace. He made suggestions according to our taste and fully met our expectations with his delicious specialties. Everything was delicious and waiter Nawid served us attentively. Super essen war toll wie immer ❤️ Schon so oft da gewesen ihr habt uns nie enttäuscht ich kann dieses Restaurant einfach nur weiter empfehlen ich habe noch nie so tolle Küche gegessen man fühlt sich wie im Urlaub. Update vom 6. Juli an diesem tag wollten wir den Geburtstag meiner Mutter feiern. Leider hat er Kellner unsere Bestellung nicht verstanden und das Essen hat leider auch nicht wie immer geschmeckt und es hat sehr die nette freundliche Dame gefehlt. Es war einfach nicht wie vorher. Natürlich werde ich meine Punkte auf fünf Sterne lassen und irgendwann werden wir euch noch mal besuchen kommen und hoffen, dass sich etwas ändert.

Gemütliche kleine Tapasbar. Original spanische Küche vom netten Inhaber frisch zubereitet. Aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service. Wir waren heute mit 11 Mann da und jedem hat es gefallen und geschmeckt.

Beste Crema Catalana seit sehr langem. Sehr gute Tapas, super Sangria. Sehr freundlich und perfekter Service! Selten so etwas in Deutschland zu finden.

Alles war in Ordnung und der Service war sehr aufmerksam.

Wir waren anhand überaus großzügigen und extrem positiven Bewertungen dort. Leider für uns nicht nachvollziehbar. Die Lokation außen wie innen sehr spartanisch gehalten, das Essen war OK. Allerdings weder gut noch empfehlenswert. Der Geschäftsführer ist sehr nett, ebenso der Service. Die Gerichte waren tatsächlich sehr groß aber geschmacklich leider nicht genug gewürzt bzw wäre da noch sehr viel Luft nach oben. Die Bratkartoffeln bekamen leider zu viel Öl ab. Zu guter Letzt, keine Kartenzahlung was 2023 äußerst unangenehm ist und man dann eine Bank suchen kann. Fazit, leider für uns kein Grund ein zweites Mal zu erscheinen. Dennoch weiterhin viel Erfolg.

Spanisch ist vor allem das Personal. Das Essen war echt gut, aber halt entsprechend den günstigen Preisen. Erwartet bitte keine haute cuisine.. Die Grotte ist besonders, aber auch scmucklos und kühl. Nächstes Mal lieber aussen oder an der Theke..
