Für mich mit Abstand eines der besten Restaurants im Saarland! Das Essen ist jedes Mal ein absoluter Genuss – man merkt sofort, dass hier mit hochwertigen Zutaten und viel Leidenschaft gekocht wird. Egal ob Pizza, Pasta oder Fleischgerichte, bisher war einfach alles hervorragend. Ein besonderes Lob geht aber an den Chef. So herzlich, aufmerksam und gastfreundlich erlebt man es nur noch selten. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und merkt, dass ihm seine Gäste wirklich am Herzen liegen. Tolles Ambiente, super Service und eine Küche, die jedes Mal aufs Neue überzeugt. Wer einmal hier war, kommt garantiert wieder. Absolute Empfehlung!

Ein super nettes Ambiente. Sehr gutes Essen ( die Nudeln sind selbst gemacht). Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und steht immer zur Verfügung. Ich war das erste Mal in diesem Lokal und bin begeistert. Nicht nur die Nudeln sondern auch die Fleischgerichte und Pizzen sind Top.

Wow. Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal bei Gegos. Das hat uns wirklich positiv aus den Latschen gehauen. Wir gehen wirklich viel und gerne essen und überall gibt es positive und negative Dinge zu berichten aber das hier war seit langer Zeit ein Abend, der wirklich nahezu perfekt war. Die Detalis: Man wird sehr freundlich begrüßt und seinem Tisch zugewiesen, der ist bereits perfekt eingerichtet, einschließlich Brot, Dip und Oliven. Innerhalb von Sekunden wird man bedient. Wir haben mehrere Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte probiert und alles war wirklich sowohl qualitativ als auch quantitativ hervorragend. Selbst gemachte Soßen und Kräuterbutter, großer liebevoll angerichteter Salatteller, Steak perfekt auf den gewünschten Garpunkt gezaubert, alles glühend heiß beim eintreffen. Beeindruckend! Der Primitivo trägt das eigene Gegos-Logo auf dem Etikett und ist sehr schmackhaft, zum Abschluss wird gerne ein Grappa aufs Haus angeboten der ebeno sehr hochwertig schmeckt. Natürlich ist all das nicht günstig, wir haben zu zweit einschl. Trinkgeld 140€ gezahlt aber das ist es ohne jeden Zweifel wert gewesen. Das hier ist wirklich der Italiener nach dem wir lange gesucht haben. Gemütlich, freundlich, schnell, hervorragendes Essen und Getränke, spgar das "pacing" zwischen den Gängen stimmt (es ist nicht hektisch und nicht träge). Hier gibts nicht nur eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung sondern ein ganz klarer Appell: Leute probierts aus, das hier lohnt sich wirklich. Wir werden garantiert hier noch öfter zurückkommen.

Seit etlichen Jahren mein absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant im Saarland. Vom Essen über Service und Ambiente bis hin zur Herzlichkeit von Personal und Besitzer ist alles tadellos. Hier fühlt man sich einfach immer willkommen 🫶🏻 Großes Lob an das gesamte Team und vor allem an Gego 👍🏻

Ich kann mich nur den aktuellen Rezessionen anschließen. Wir waren zum ersten Mal dort. Sehr herzlicher Empfang. Super Service. Wir hatte beide Lust auf ein Steak. Beide auf den Punkt. Einfach gut. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder.

Wir kamen am sonntag spontan vorbei und haben glücklicherweise noch einen Termin für zwei Personen bekommen. Service und auch das Essen waren ganz toll. Schade, dass ich nicht in der Nähe wohne!

We had two insalata pastore dishes last night. It was a real treat, and we were quite full. Friendly, unobtrusive service, and the chef personally said goodbye. And the price was right, too. The ambiance inside is much nicer than you'd think from the outside. Overall: highly recommended!

This time, the veal liver was extremely soft, almost a little mushy, which we didn't understand. But despite that, everything was once again very finely seasoned and very tasty.

We visited Gego's for the first time on a pleasantly warm Saturday evening. We received a very friendly welcome and quickly received our first drinks. The salad was truly a culinary delight, worthy of 5 stars. The vegetarian pizza, however, wasn't the highlight. There's room for improvement: Too much onion, which dominated the flavor, too few other vegetables, the dough was too thin, and unfortunately, it was overcooked. Perhaps a one-off accident. It can happen. We will definitely be back.

We were invited to a birthday party. We had the homemade pasta filled with spinach, a Lillet, and tiramisu. All delicious. The staff were super friendly, even in this heat. We'd happily go back.

I received a warm welcome as soon as I entered – the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and typically Italian. The service was consistently friendly, attentive, and courteous, without being intrusive. You immediately notice: hospitality is a top priority here! The food was simply fantastic. From the homemade pasta to the crispy stone-baked pizza – everything was freshly prepared and presented with great attention to detail. I would particularly like to highlight the seafood risotto: perfectly seasoned, creamy, and incredibly aromatic. The wine list also offers a great selection of Italian wines that complement the meal wonderfully. To top it all off, there was a classic tiramisu that melted in your mouth – a real highlight! Conclusion: If you appreciate authentic Italian cuisine and excellent service, this is the place for you. I will definitely be back!

I enjoyed a wonderful evening here with great food and a comfortable atmosphere with my husband for our wedding anniversary. The food was absolutely top, from the quality to the presentation on the plate. The service was super pleasant, friendly, unobtrusive but absolutely attentive. Prices and portions were absolutely reasonable. From now on it's the secret place for my husband and I to escape from everyday life. Thanks to the nice team and the professional kitchen. Good morning. We stopped at this restaurant by chance. We were well received. The service was perfect. And what's more, there is excellent value for money in the services. I was able to speak with the Manager and we exchanged a few nice words about Sardinia. I appreciated the human qualities of the chef. You can go there with your eyes closed, you will not be disappointed with the service.

The food was fantastic and the service was super nice. The restaurant is large, and of course there are a lot of tables in the room. Unfortunately there is no romantic atmosphere, but there is a nice atmosphere with great owners. We'd love to come back.

Super friendly service and great service. Everything was perfectly prepared and in place quickly. As soon as the forks were put away, there was new, fresh cutlery. Perfectly coordinated team. A+ for this! The starter was also excellent and tasted very good. Unfortunately, only the main course was not as convincing as expected according to all the reviews. I would like to come back and try a second dish, maybe it was just an unfortunate choice. Still an unreserved recommendation for a nice evening for two because the food was good, the service was top and the starter was excellent.

Wir sind öfter hier zum Essen, vorausgesetzt man bekommt einen Platz. Meistens ist das Restaurant ausgebucht, was man aufgrund der guten Qualität der Speisen gut verstehen kann .Jeder möchte hier essen 😀 Alles was wir hier gegessen haben war super lecker. Preis Leistung stimmt auch. Klare Empfehlung!!!!!

All in all, really hidden and certainly an absolute insider tip, but the shop is packed on Maundy Thursday, but the service is outstandingly good and friendly. The food (see also the photos) is a true Italian delicacy and very, very large portions at an absolutely fair price. The crowning glory of the whole store, however, was the boss himself, Gego, who was so open-hearted and hospitable to us and even showed us the kitchen and talked to us as if we had known each other forever, an absolutely outstanding host. Best place for special occasions! We regularly celebrate important days here, and for good reason. The Valentine's Day menu was absolutely fantastic, both the vegetarian and meat dishes were perfectly prepared. The service was excellent and the value for money was unbeatable. If you're looking for cheap, you've come to the wrong place, the quality of the food is excellent and it's well worth paying for. Price/performance is given! The restaurant is very stylishly furnished and you immediately feel at home. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. That's exactly how it should be, unfortunately a rarity these days! For us one of the best restaurants in Saarland. We will be back!
