The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We were thrilled. Unfortunately, the waitress was very stressed and it showed. While she was friendly, it was quite awkward when she walked past us saying she had to quickly clean the table. She just seemed incredibly stressed. Otherwise, the ambiance was very good. Everything was clean, the decor was beautiful, and we didn't have to wait long. It's definitely worth a visit. We'll be sure to try more dishes from the menu in the future ❤️😇 Four years later, we finally made it back. I'd always wanted to go, but we now live in Bocholt, and with full-time jobs, I'm very busy. We were there again today, and everything was truly perfect. The service was incredibly friendly, and the food was amazing. We'll gladly come back again during the Christmas season. Many thanks for this wonderful experience :)

Great vegan restaurant. Here you'll find lovingly prepared dishes.

There were two of us, and we each had a salad with sides: one Indian and one Middle Eastern. The Indian salad came with a skewer, presumably with seitan balls, peanut sauce, and garlic bread. The Middle Eastern salad had couscous and falafel balls. Both salads had raspberry dressing and tasted absolutely fantastic. The same can be said for all the side dishes.

The food was outstanding. Despite being fully booked, they still managed to squeeze us in. Thank goodness! Everything was great!

The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. I had the puff pastry tarts with vegetables in a cream sauce and the green spelt risotto with salad, and for dessert, the chocolate mousse with sorbet, cakes, and fruit – both were incredibly tasty! We also took another dish home, and they even went to the trouble of writing short reheating instructions on each item so we could enjoy it at home to the fullest.

We went to Petersilchen again today specifically for the Oktoberfest platter and weren't disappointed. It was delicious 👏👏👏. The other dishes, with their many different flavors, were also incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. We're already looking forward to the Christmas menu 😊

We spontaneously stopped by for lunch today and got a table right away without a reservation (it's probably better to make a reservation for dinner). The atmosphere was lovely, the staff super friendly, and everyone at our table was very happy with their meal choices. Unfortunately, we were all so full that we didn't have time to try dessert. But we'll be stopping by more often when we visit family in the area in the future.

Very creatively presented and truly warm dishes are served in a beautiful setting. The portion sizes are generous, but dessert is always a good option and should be ordered, as it, like the main courses and appetizers, is simply delicious. The service was very satisfactory. Actually, I'm neither vegetarian nor vegan. I gave it a try anyway. The food was good and you should give it a try. The service was excellent. Always approachable and attentive to the guests. I liked the ambiance. A calm atmosphere in the rooms. You can still have a good conversation there.

Very friendly, welcoming, and the food was lovingly prepared, with generous portions. The price/performance ratio is completely justified. Unfortunately, tips cannot be deducted from card payments. We'll also bring cash next time. We'll definitely be back and recommend it to others. 🫶

It really is a fantastic restaurant. The ambiance is very pleasant, the staff very friendly, and the food simply delicious. After three attempts, I finally managed to get a table. You absolutely have to reserve a table, otherwise you won't get one. I'm guessing it's just philosophy... but once you know that, you can plan. We drove an hour or two just for the meal, and it wasn't the last time. What I really liked was that the dishes speak for themselves. Purely plant-based, delicious, wholesome, and without animal cruelty! There's no attempt to recreate anything; the dishes simply speak for themselves and are a wonderful delicacy for the palate and the eye. Colorful and healthy, just as vegan cuisine should be. Highly recommended. Unfortunately, we were there during hyacinth season, which I have a severe allergy to and respiratory problems. Fresh flowers are simply fantastic, but I react very strongly to them. My mother does too, but I'd like to eat there sometime. So we'll plan it outside of flower season, or maybe even ask about it when making an early reservation... I'm just mentioning this to warn other sufferers; it's by no means meant to discourage or negatively impact, because fresh flowers in a restaurant are a sign of quality... I'm looking forward to my next visit. Maybe for my birthday in November...

I went there last night with my partner. He had the Beyond Burger and I had the Bangkok Wok. We had garlic bread for starters, and everything was so delicious 😍 I would have liked another side dish, but the portion was too big for me. Petersilchen effortlessly proves how delicious healthy food can be. Here you can enjoy healthy, vegan meals in a truly lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be back! The Moroccan tagine is especially recommended. We've rarely eaten such delicious and well-prepared food.

Sehr charmantes Ambiente, äußerst nettes Personal und sehr, sehr leckeres Essen mit dem man vermutlich auch bekennende Fleischesser glücklich macht. Vorspeisen, Hauptspeisen, Nachtisch.... alles superlecker und extrem schön angerichtet. Wir waren begeistert!

September 2022: The two of us ate there today and would definitely like to come back here. It was simply incomparably delicious! First of all, we had bread with wild herb dip and aioli as well as the Pakistani tomato soup, which could have been hotter, but had a fantastic note thanks to the fennel seeds it contained. The main course was the tagine and vegetable lasagna, and for dessert the lime-yoghurt mousse with exotic fruit sauce. Everything was visually beautifully presented. Because we were so hungry, we forgot to take photos of the main courses, but the pictures of the starter and dessert speak for themselves. The service was excellent. Questions were responded to in a friendly manner, it was possible to test the wine for free and there was time for a little chat when paying! Thumbs up, we will be happy to take advantage of the catering option so that we can serve our guests vegan. If we come to Xanten again, we will definitely eat here again and try the other dishes that we unfortunately had to skip today! Addendum May 2025: We were here again today and the food and service were again at the highest level, simply incomparably delicious!

Zum Geburtstag meiner Frau laden wir gerne die Familie zum Essen ein. Üblicherweise werden auch in sehr guten Restaurants nur ein oder maximal zwei Gerichte für Veganer angeboten und so muss sich einer aus unserem Kreis immer wie das fünfte Rad am Wagen fühlen. In diesem Jahr haben wir entschieden, ins Petersilchen zu gehen und somit für alle die gleichen Voraussetzungen zu haben. Da ich mit der Gastgeberin schon gemeinsam gekocht hatte, wusste ich, dass wir aus hervorragenden Speisen würden wählen können. Am Ostersonntag wurde nur Buffet angeboten, was ich zunächst etwas kritisch aufnahm. Wir waren pünktlich zur Öffnung angekommen und wurden sogleich freundlich von der Chefin begrüßt und an unseren Tisch begleitet. An der Tür vernahmen wir eine Gästeinformation "sorry, wir sind ausgebucht". Kurze Zeit später wurde das Buffet eröffnet und wir hatten das Vergnügen, uns in Ruhe erstmal alles anschauen zu können. Hinter den einzelnen Abteilungen stand Personal, das Erklärungen zu den angebotenen Gerichten gab. Allein die gekonnten dargebotenen Speisen, die Dekoration und die Farbenvielfalt machten Lust loszulegen. Ich kann hier unmöglich alle Speisen aufführen und will nur anmerken, dass ich alle probiert habe. Sie schmeckten köstlich. Die ganze Familie, besonders aber unser veganer Gast, waren voll des Lobes. Bei Fragen zur Zubereitung stand die Chefin sofort parat, zu erklären, was da so den Geschmack ausmachte und wie es zubereitet wurde. Die Trüffelpasta kochte sie persönlich vor den Augen des Gastes. Schnell füllte sich das Restaurant und alle Plätze waren besetzt, was das Personal offensichtlich nicht vor Probleme stellte. Das Geschirr wurde abgeräumt, Bestellungen aufgenommen und Wartezeiten waren, wenn überhaupt vorhanden, nicht bemerkbar. Wir waren alle mit der Qualität der Speisen (was Geschmack und Optik anbetraf), dem Service und dem Verlauf des Essens sehr zufrieden. Vielen Dank für das schöne Genießervergnügen.

We finally managed to visit the Parsilchen in Xanten today and were not disappointed. At Easter brunch we had the opportunity to try many different dishes and were thoroughly impressed. No matter whether soup, hummus, aioli, salad, pasta, tagine, goulash, Zurich schnitzel or the choice of desserts. Everything was very tasty and freshly prepared. In addition, a very friendly, attentive and courteous service from the greeting to the farewell. Plus a very cozy atmosphere. We will definitely be making the trip from the Ruhr area more often because a visit to such a great restaurant is worth it to us. I went there with my family and they didn't even know it was vegetarian/vegan. They had eaten the October platter. Overall the ambience is great with nice furnishings and nice service. It was also very busy so it was a good thing we had reservations, which surprised me given this small town.

Here you learn that it doesn't always have to be meat: delicious dishes with an addictive factor!

Were here twice in one day, for coffee and cake at lunchtime and for dinner in the evening. Cake was OK. Looks like it's thawed. In the evening we were thrilled with a high-quality vegan menu. A delight for the sense of taste. And all of this in an atmospheric ambience. We'll be back because the winter garden also looked very nice.

I'm not a vegan and I absolutely love the parsley! We treated ourselves to a set menu yesterday and the food was fantastic!! From the starter to the dessert, it was a culinary delight without any criticism, the plates were so beautifully presented, such warm service, and a beautiful restaurant, very cozy and furnished with great attention to detail. I haven't eaten so well in years. The next table for the Easter buffet is already reserved! Thanks to the team for a really great evening! ❤️

Wow! My first visit to Parsilchen and a direct hit! My wife and I went vegan for the first time and absolutely loved it. Not only was the atmosphere inviting, the service was also attentive and friendly. The food itself was a real taste explosion! Visually beautifully presented and simply delicious in taste. We didn't miss anything and are totally convinced. Absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy vegan cuisine in Xanten. We'll definitely be back!

Just a small note: the drink selection is pretty standard. Vegetable smoothies and fresh iced teas would be nice as examples. Still overall a 10 out of 10!!

Wir waren mit vier Personen im Petersilchen zu Gast, und obwohl im Laufe des Abends alle Tische besetzt wurden, war der Service zügig und aufmerksam. Das rein vegane Speisenangebot ist so interessant und vielfältig, dass auch Fleischesser nichts vermissen dürften. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf orientalisch gewürzten Gerichten (scharfe Speisen sind auf der Karte gekennzeichnet), und die Portionen waren so groß, dass selbst die Männer nicht alles geschafft haben. Zu erwähnen wäre noch, dass die Speisen nicht nur schmackhaft, sondern auch sehr hübsch angerichtet waren. Die Preise sind fair kalkuliert. Nicht umsonst ist das Petersilchen mit seinem konsequent veganen Konzept zu einer festen Größe im Xantener Restaurant-Angebot geworden.

I was invited there for my birthday and it was really great! Super tasty, beautifully prepared food that convinced everyone (mainly non-vegans including my over 80 grandma! ;) ) and also very nice service. I would like to come back again because it was really difficult to decide with the great menu selection :)

Delicious food, but unprofessional management. They simply deleted a confirmed reservation without communicating with me. When I stood in front of the restaurant with my family and girlfriend, the reservation was no longer available. I also found the service (by the owner?) rather strenuous. The food was quite tasty, prices were rather high, but ok.

Durch Zufall bin ich auf dieses wirklich tolle Restaurant gestoßen. Wir sind extra aus Duisburg angereist und ich habe meinem Mann verschwiegen,dass dies ein veganens Restaurant ist.Wir waren beide wirklich begeistert!!!!!! Die Speisekarte ist klein aber fein,es gibt zusätzlich noch eine Wochenkarte mit immer wieder wechselnden Speisen.Die Gerichte sind toll präsentiert,super gewürzt,einfach genial.Das gesamte Ambiente ,der Service und das Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmen absolut. Wir waren mittlerweile schon ein zweites Mal dort und der Vorschlag,ich kann es selbst kaum glauben,kam von meinem Mann(der ein echter Fleischesser ist) Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen.

We were at Parsilchen for the first time and were completely thrilled by the wonderfully quiet vegan restaurant in the heart of Xanten, which impressed with friendly and attentive service and, above all, excellent food. Even as someone who hasn't given up meat completely, I would like to mention that the vegan burger was by far the best burger I've had so far - all "meat burgers" included. It's logical that the prices are a little higher - but the price-performance ratio is definitely right here! In any case, we would love to come back and are already looking forward to our next visit! Update 2024: After countless visits to Parsilchen, we are still thrilled and can recommend the restaurant without reservation!

Since we are very good at cooking, we are often a little disappointed in vegan restaurants. But it was absolutely great here! The food was perfectly seasoned, the portions are huge and it's cozy. As a starter we had the garlic bread from the pan, as the main course we had the vegetable lasagna and the potato goulash. Even though we were more than full, we still had to have dessert ;) We had the chocolate mousse with sorbet, cakes and fruit. Yummie :) Overall, Xanten is also really beautiful. We'll be back! I was visiting my mother-in-law near here and was brought here. No complaints and 4.5 stars! The only thing was that sometimes there weren't enough staff for so many people. The food was very good, starter antipasti and main course the Tajin. Hats off for the taste!!! Volke 5 stars!! And attention to everyone who wants to devour the Tajin immediately: It comes served in a clay pot and is very hot 😆 Don't burn your mouth. I definitely recommend trying the restaurant.
