Pepe’s in Marburg

Great food in a nice atmosphere. However, I only give it two stars and that is entirely due to the poor service. We couldn't pay the bill separately, EC payment was only possible if you paid the entire amount. We also had 5 minutes to leave the restaurant. We would literally be thrown out. It would have been nice if we had been told in advance under what conditions we could pay and when we had to leave the restaurant.

Best pizza/pinsa in Marburg. Original Italian

Nice restaurant, nice location and delicious food! But I still only give it 3/5 stars: we were there in a group of about nine people. The service did not come to take another drink order. Of course you can also make yourself noticed, but there is a better way :-) I ordered salad with grilled fish (there is no dressing here!). I asked for the dish to only be made with salmon instead of the daily fish offering. The wish was fulfilled. It was also very tasty! However, I was charged much more for the entire dish. I wasn't aware of this before, but I don't like shrimp. So some lettuce leaves and 2 small pieces of salmon came to 28 euros (the drink was also added). Ate something at home to fill up. The other guests in my group made the better decision with their food. Everything looked very good. I might come back again sometime ;-)

50 minutes of waiting so that the lady at the end glances at our table and takes the last drink - in other words: our order was simply forgotten, that can happen to anyone, but then you come to the table, explain the situation and apologize, instead of leaving the guests waiting unknowingly. The portions were really very very small.

Good food and very friendly service

I was brushed off very rudely when I asked for a table for a specific day. When asked on which days there was still anything free, the answer was: "I have no idea, I would have to be a millionaire." This is neither logical nor minimally accommodating. Something like this is only possible in Marburg, with a limited supply of Italian restaurants.

We enjoyed everything very much and the service was very friendly. We sat on the terrace and felt very comfortable 🙏

Great restaurant outside of the city center. The place is very well maintained, clean, well attended with friendly, helpful staff. Large selection of international and Italian dishes. Prices are reasonable in relation to high quality craftsmanship, good products, nice ambience and good service. Everything is at ground level and there are parking spaces nearby. A visit is always worthwhile. Thank you for your efforts and the lovely evening.

Absolute recommendation, So far I've only had the steak and the gluten-free pizza but both were exceptionally good! Anyone with a gluten intolerance knows what I'm talking about when I say gluten-free pizza isn't as good as regular pizza, but honestly, this one is just as good😉🙏🏼 I love pizza and I have to say that it was one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. Congratulations to the kitchen🥳

We wouldn't have expected a restaurant like this, almost nowhere in an industrial area. Modern atmosphere, very good quality food and the service leaves nothing to be desired. The high rating on Tripadvisor is right and we would be happy to come back when we are in the area.

We were here for the third time now. So far the food has been good, but the service has not been. This time (lunchtime, few guests), we weren't even served after 30 minutes. Well, the card was brought after 15 minutes, and that was it. The good service seems to be aimed more at regular customers, as two other guests had their drinks after 3 minutes. We have already noticed this tendency towards arrogance and second-class service the previous times. For us, another visit is out of the question.

An experience with really good food, everything was great

The food here, especially the pasta and pizza bread, was simply outstanding. The taste was incomparable and really impressed me. I would particularly like to highlight the boss, whose friendliness and passion for his job were clearly noticeable. This experience at this restaurant was fantastic all round. A big thank you for this exceptional culinary experience!

Bester Italiener in Marburg....

First of all, super delicious food. Sure, but not exactly cheap. Portion of noodles rather too small for the price. The service was great. It was a bit too narrow at our table with the wall behind us. Personally, I miss the cozy atmosphere.

Ambience good. Service poor, 2 waiters on the area, waiter unfortunately very inattentive. Glasses were empty, none! asked if we would like to order anything else. We also had to ask for the dessert menu. Steak was good, but side dishes were far too few. 6 half, small, rosemary potatoes and 1 tablespoon of vegetables. Dessert Souffle Pistachio tastes like everything but pistachio. Pizza was good.

One of the best pizzas in the district! The other dishes are also of the finest quality with a fair price/performance ratio! Plus great and friendly service!

As always, we had a wonderful evening with excellent food. Small menu, everything fresh. Super friendly service. Very nice inside and outside (in summer). The menu changes again and again, including great daily recommendations. We always enjoy coming here! Thanks Giuseppe and to the whole team!

Immer super 😋 lecker. Wenn ich meine Kinder in Marburg besuche gehe ich immer wieder gerne ins Pepe's.

Bin schon ein paar Mal im Rahmen eines Geschäftsessens hier gewesen und es war immer gut. Jetzt mal mit meinen3 Mädels + einer Freundin von ihnen. Pinsa und Nudelgerichte gab es an diesem Tag. Alles war lecker, die Bedienung zunehmend freundlicher. Es waren einige Tische besetzt und im Service gab es gut zu tun. Dennoch war im Laden eine angenehme Atmosphäre und alles war stimmig. Da hat dann das Getränk etwas länger gedauert, aber das war im Hinblick auf das Gesamt- Ambiente kein Thema. Das Restaurant liegt etwas versteckt, aber man bekommt gut einen Parkplatz. Das ist in Marburg ja für gewöhnlich nicht so einfach. Wir alle fanden es prima und es war ein gelungener Abschluss nach einem erfolgreichen Shopping- Vormittag.

Das Essen war wirklich einen Besuch wert - sehr frisch, knackige Pala und Salate, wirklich sehr gut. Der Service hat uns leider 45 Minuten auf unseren Vorspeisensalat warten lassen und auch der Bewegungsmelder im Toilettenbereich hat uns unentwegt angestrahlt - naja, da könnte man sich vielleicht eine bessere Idee einfallen lassen.

Sehr lecker, super netter Service. Immer gut besucht, also besser rechtzeitig reservieren. Wir hätten noch was getrunken, aber Service war nur zu zweit.

*Glutenfreie Pizza* Wenn man auf glutenfreie Kost angewiesen ist, ist es fast unmöglich, eine frische, gute und zudem leckere Pizza zu bekommen. Meist bekommt man (wenn überhaupt) den Fertigteig von Schär. Das kann ich auch daheim essen… Hier bei Pepes darf man sich auf eine selbstgemachte, Mega leckere glutenfreie Pizza freuen. Die Rohlinge kommen extra aus Italien und werden vor Ort frisch belegt. Vielen Dank dafür!! Vorher anrufen, ob Teig vorrätig ist, wäre trotzdem schlau.

Schöne Location, gutes Essen, nette Bedienung.

Naja… Hätte Potenzial gehabt, wenn man nicht nur damit beschäftigt wäre Bekannte/Stammgäste zu umgarnen. Neue Gäste hätten nämlich welche werden können. Zunächst wurde unsere Reservierung verschlammt. Der zugewiesene Tisch war dann sehr zugig und alles andere als angenehm. Lange Wartezeiten bis der Kellner dann kam, Getränke dauerten dann auch recht lange. Laden war voll, deswegen auch Verständnis. Aber nicht wenn viel Zeit mit Quasseln verbracht wird. Während der Vorspeise wurde nicht gefragt ob es schmeckt. Beim Hauptgang waren meine Kartoffeln halbroh, was aktiv meinerseits reklamiert wurde. Kellner (vermute sogar Chef) nahm den Teller und ging kommentarlos weg. (?!) Bekam dann etwa 5min später eine neue Portion mit kurzem „Sorry“ und weg war er. Schmeckte dann gut, allerdings fehlte der Salat, der auf der Karte stand. Es wurde während des Essens, dann wieder nicht nachgefragt ob es passt. Hatte dann auch keine Lust mehr nochmal hinterherzurennen. Beim Nachtisch war das Tiramisu geschmacklich super, aber kein bisschen Deko. Während andere noch frisches Obst usw bekamen. Rechnung dauerte dann wieder recht lange. Hätte schön sein können, aber es fühlte sich bei uns nach schneller Abfertigung an. Schade. Einer der Kellner war noch wirklich bemüht bei uns, aber der Herr ist wirklich geflitzt und überall kann man ja nicht sein.

Man kann hier sehr schön sitzen und das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker. Allerdings ziemlich happige Preise.

Essen extrem lecker, haben als Entschädigung für eine kurze Wartezeit ein Getränk aufs Haus bekommen, also top Erfahrung gerne wieder!

Immer wieder sehr lecker und ein toller aufmerksamer Service

Alles top, sogar mehr als das .... Service, Ambiente und die Speisen (Antipasti und Pasta) haben uns regelrecht "umgehauen" ... Dazu das überaus herzliche Willkommen - wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und sehr gut gegessen. Daher 5 Sterne und eine klare Empfehlung - wir werden sehr gerne wiederkommen.
