Pepenero Schwabing in München

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Pepenero und sind begeistert. Als Vorspeise hatten wir Vitello Tonatto und Caesar Salad, anschließend haben wir Spaghetti Carbonara und Tagliatelle mit Trüffel gegessen. Alles hat hervorragend geschmeckt – authentisch und genauso, wie man es aus Italien kennt. Auch das Ambiente hat uns sehr gefallen. Das Restaurant ist geschmackvoll dekoriert, sehr gepflegt und insgesamt in einem hervorragenden Zustand. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut: Für die Qualität und den Geschmack des Essens sind die Preise absolut fair. Die Bedienungen waren durchweg sehr freundlich und bemüht. Man hat allerdings gemerkt, dass an diesem Abend aufgrund des großen Andrangs etwas zu wenig Personal im Einsatz war und die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter daher unter Stress standen. Trotzdem blieben sie aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir können das Pepenero auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und kommen gerne wieder. Wer authentische italienische Küche zu einem fairen Preis sucht, ist hier genau richtig! 🍝🇮🇹🍷

Vorsicht bei der Lieferung durch Wolt! 3x Pasta Bolognese bestellt in der letzten Zeit. Jetzt beim dritten Mal noch weniger als bei den ersten zwei malen, nämlich nichts! Absolut KEIN Fleisch dabei! Sogar Pepe Nero selbst sagt: Lieber selber abholen! Na! Dankeschön! Nicht mal mein Hund bettelt, weil halt einfach gar kein Fleisch dabei ist!

Mega lecker, aber bitte bitte stellt mehr Personal ein, die Servicekräfte sind komplett überlastet…

Der Service war wirklich schlecht. Obwohl das Restaurant fast leer war und kaum Gäste da waren, mussten wir über 20 Minuten warten, bis überhaupt jemand zu unserem Tisch gekommen ist, damit wir bezahlen konnten. Die Bedienung war die ganze Zeit vorne am Tresen am Handy beschäftigt und hat uns komplett ignoriert. Am Ende mussten wir selber nach vorne gehen, um endlich zahlen zu können. Besonders unverschämt fanden wir, dass trotzdem erwartet wurde, Trinkgeld zu geben obwohl der Service praktisch nicht vorhanden war. Als wir kein Trinkgeld gegeben haben, kam nicht einmal ein „Tschüss“ oder „Schönen Abend“. Stattdessen wurden wir nur schief angeschaut. So ein Verhalten gegenüber Gästen geht gar nicht. Wir werden definitiv nicht nochmal kommen. Ich frag mich warum man überhaupt so inkompetente Mitarbeiter einstellt. Freundlichkeit in der Gastro ist das wichtigste was leider nicht vorhanden war.

Preis Leistung ist gut, was ein bisschen verbessert werden kann ist der Service in Sachen Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit. Pizza schmeckt sehr gut 👍

Kann man definitiv machen.. Essen solide, Preis solide, Service gut.. Nicht das beste der Welt aber definitiv machbar, kann man entspannt mal ab und zu hingehen, auch wenn das Essen heute lange auf sich warten lassen hat — hatten bestellt und Leute die 10min erst kamen hatten bestellt , ihr Essen kam und die waren schon fertig mit dem Essen und dann kam unseres.. denke aber sowas passiert mal.. hoffentlich nicht beim nächsten Mal haha 👍🏼

Wie fasse ich unser Erlebnis am besten zusammen: Großen Tisch mit mehreren Personen gehabt. 30 min. bis wir die Getränke bekamen. Essen kam nach 30 weiteren Minuten. Bei 3 von uns leider gar nicht. Wir sind vergessen worden obwohl wir mehrfach nachdrücklich nach dem Essen fragten. Ich kann die Qualität des Essens daher nich beurteilen. Es sah aber gut aus. Nicht sein Essen zu erhalten habe ich noch nie erlebt. Am Ende wollten sie zwar nachträglich unsere Pizzen zubereiten. Das haben wir aber abgelehnt und sind gegangen. Der erste und letze Besuch für uns. Ich kann es daher nicht weiterempfehlen!

Das Restaurant Pepenero Schwabing war immer für mich und meine Familie ein Ziel, wenn es um preiswertes, schmackhaftes und schnelles Essen ging. Gestern nach einem für mich ausgedehnten Ausflug durch den Englischen Garten, der mich mit meinen 80 Jahren anstrengte, die Oase (im Freien) der Ort zur Stärkung. Kurz weiter : Ich bestellte einen Dopio, 1 Mineralwasser mit Zitrone und Rigatoni mit Fisch und einer Sahnesauce ohne Tomaten. Als ich nach einer 1/2 Stunde die Bedienung fragte, ob sie nach meinem Essen fragen könnte, antwortete sie das Essen würde mir serviert, wenn es fertig ist. Der älteste Witz aller unhöflichen Restaurants. Zum Essen wäre zu sagen: Es war wirklich nicht schmackhaft. Die Rigatoni sehr fest im Biss, das Fleisch, hart und sehr klein geschnitten, die Sahnesauce nicht abgeschmeckt. Fazit: Die Rechnung: Der Dopio war ein einfacher Espresso; das Mineralwasser wurde in einem kleinen Glas serviert, in der Größe eines achtel Liters, un das oben geschilderte Nudelgericht. Die Zahlkellnerin war eine zarte Person, die komischerweise bei der Präsentation der Endsumme auf einem Handy, zitterte. Eine Zahl, ohne Aufschlüsselung der Posten, das war`s. Betrag ca. € 22,00. Da ich sehr lange in der Gastronomie tätig war, habe ich mich schon sehr geärgert. Der Verkauf des Personalwassers ist auch nichts Neues. Für eine langen Sommer sollten Sie ihr Personal noch trainieren! Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Ich habe es satt, in italienischen Restaurants zu essen, und der Besitzer ist kein Italiener, wirklich sehr traurig. Ehrlich gesagt, wenn ich hier zufällig nochmals vorbeikommen sollte , und ich total ausgehungert wäre, würde ich nicht mehr rein gehen , weil es mir nicht gefallen hat. Tut mir leid, falls es ich zu ehrlich ist. Der Barista ist für meinen Geschmack unfreundlich. Onestamente nn mi è piaciuto niente.ho mangiato per fame e non ci ritornerò più. Scusate a sono sincero ma siamo in democrazia e bisogna dire quello che pensiamo. Tra l’altro il barista non è né gentile né professionale.

Super leckeres Essen. Wir waren zu viert (2 Erw. 2 Kids). Bestellt Pizza, Canneloni, Ziegenkäsesalat. Brot war auch lecker. Bedienung nett. Preise fair (Margherita groß und für 10,95€)

Wir haben heute zwei Caprese-Pizzen bestellt. Beide waren so extrem salzig, dass meine Freundin und ich sie nicht ganz aufessen konnten. Auf Nachfrage hieß es nur, das sei eben der Geschmack. Sie sollten vorbeikommen und sich ein Stück nehmen. Vielleicht gebe ich ihnen heute eins ab…

Mein Besuch im Pepenero Schwabing war kulinarisch wirklich top, hatte aber beim Service noch Luft nach oben. 😊 Das Essen hat absolut überzeugt: Der Pizzateig war außen schön knusprig und innen angenehm weich, dazu richtig spannende und leckere Belagkombinationen. Auch die Auswahl an Nudelgerichten ist groß und macht Lust, mehr auszuprobieren. Das dunkle, schwarz-hölzerne Ambiente sorgt zudem für eine sehr angenehme und stilvolle Atmosphäre. Leider gab es beim Service und Timing einige Schwächen: Das Nudelgericht kam bereits 5–10 Minuten vor den Pizzen, was nicht ideal ist, wenn man gemeinsam essen möchte. Nach scharfem Öl mussten wir zweimal fragen, und es dauerte recht lange, bis abgeräumt wurde oder jemand wegen Dessert nachgefragt hat. Zudem waren die gewünschten Desserts leider aus und auch die Rechnung mussten wir doppelt anfragen. Insgesamt geschmacklich ein Highlight, beim Service besteht aber definitiv noch Verbesserungsbedarf. 🍝

Essen super lecker. Service freundlich und schnell. Aber es ist doch sehr eng beim Sitzen, so dass man ständig nach vorne rücken muss wenn jemand durch muss.

Habe gestern Abend zwei Pizza für 30 Euro plus Gebühr ( Uber eats) plus Trinkgeld 35 Euro bestellt. Ca. 1 Stunde Wartezeit, dementsprechend waren die Pizza kalt. Echt heftig.

Ein empfehlenswertes Lokal für Pizza oder Pasta. Das Essen ist lecker und die Auswahl groß. Auch der Nachtisch war sehr gut.

Das Essen war okay, aber der Service der Kellnerin war katastrophal. Sie war extrem unhöflich und genervt. So ein schlechtes Benehmen gegenüber Kunden habe ich selten erlebt.

Ich war schon oft hier und wurde nie enttäuscht. Alles, was ich probiert habe, war wirklich lecker, und die Atmosphäre ist toll. An Wochenenden kann es allerdings voll und laut werden, und es kann schwierig sein, einen Tisch zu finden. Reservieren Sie daher unbedingt im Voraus.

Wir haben in diesem Restaurant sehr gut gegessen und uns rundum wohlgefühlt. Die Pizza war hervorragend – von sehr guter Qualität, schön knusprig und geschmacklich ein Highlight. Die Bedienung war äußerst freundlich und dabei sehr schnell, sodass es an nichts gefehlt hat. Besonders positiv fanden wir, dass auch unser Hund willkommen war und sogar Wasser bekommen hat. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Restaurant eindeutig weiterempfehlen.

Heute war bei Restaurant Pepenero und Barmen ist ein sehr guter Mann und hilfsbereit ich warte meine Abholung 30 min und habe bekommen Kaffee warum muss zuviel warten das ist sehr nett von Personal 👍👍👍👍👍

Am liebsten würde ich den Service mit 0 Punkten bewerten. Seit wann sitzen Kellner im Restaurantbereich? Wir mussten 10 Minuten warten, weil die Kellnerin erst einmal saß und sich mit ihrer Kollegin unterhalten hat. Der Barmann telefonierte, sodass wir ihn mit seinen AirPods hören konnten. Die Bedienung war definitiv inkompetent und sollte geschult werden. Für ein Lokal in Schwabing ist das sehr enttäuschend. Das Essen war kalt. Es waren inklusive uns vielleicht 6 Tische da. Ich gebe gerne Trinkgeld, aber für einen solchen Service definitiv nicht. Es ist wirklich traurig, dass für so einen Service Personal bezahlt wird.

Ich bestelle immer bei Pepenero und die Qualität ist erstklassig. Ich liebe ihre Pasta und ihre Pizza ist auch ziemlich gut. Weiter so!

I don't understand all the good reviews. The pizza was the worst we've ever eaten. The ham was the cheapest you can buy in Großjandel, the dough was nothing special – and the place was decorated without any care. The prices were outrageous! If you want good pizza, walk two minutes further. The service, however, was super friendly.

Essen Suuuper Personal Suuuper!

Not a culinary highlight, just for a quick pasta lunch or something... what I find really awful: the waiters and waitresses handle the bread with their bare hands when cutting it. No napkin, no washing beforehand... For me, that's a no-go.

When we came in, it looked really cozy. We got a table right by the door, where we quickly noticed a terrible draft whenever people went in and out. Even though there were two doors for the entrance, the outer door was constantly open. When we received our food, I noticed that the pepperoncini were missing from my pizza, even though it was listed on the menu. I asked the waitress about it, and she said she could bring me some so I could add the spice myself or take it back to the kitchen. In my opinion, both options are unacceptable, as the topping should be added before the pizza goes into the oven, not afterward. She added that the kitchen had simply forgotten. The pizza base wasn't cooked through in the middle; you could still stretch the dough. The parts where it was cooked were quite good. But all in all, we won't be returning to this pizzeria.

Pepenero used to be totally cool, but now it's annoying every time. And that's solely due to the unfriendly staff. The girls act like they're supermodels and are just plain snotty. Recently, we wanted to sit outside in bad weather. Some tables were occupied, so we chose one of them. We were ignored for a quarter of an hour until I asked one of the waitresses if we could order. The only answer was, "No. I'm not serving outside anymore, the weather's bad." No, "Sorry, but I'd like to see if we have a free table inside for you. Feel free to come with me." And that was the third time the waitresses were unfriendly, and we left for that reason. I used to really like Pepenero; we also went to Glockenbach and Schwabing a lot. But the staff in Schwabing have deteriorated significantly in the last two years. I'm not going to let those snotty students yell at me again. Maybe the manager should test the staff incognito.

The claim of gluten-free isn't true. I pointed it out when ordering and explained that I had an allergy. Of course, when I accepted the carbonara, for which I paid extra, I asked again. Shortly afterward, I had severe stomach problems. Hours later, I still had them. They definitely don't pay attention to allergens.

Good value for money. Cozy restaurant with good, affordable pizzas. The pasta and schnitzel are also good. The fillet steak is also impressive. Great coffee. Ideal for lunch.

I went to pepenero today with my two children and my wife around 1 p.m. The lady was very patient with my children. She even offered me gluten-free pasta, as I was having trouble choosing a dish. Service was very fast. The food was delicious. And the location was also very nice. We saw a lot of people going to Oktoberfest. My children were very excited. I highly recommend this place.

The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. The prices and portions are reasonable, and the menu offers a wide variety of choices. The food is satisfactory overall, with some dishes being better than others. It is nice to dine with family or friends.

Came from Ireland to have the best pizza in town. My all time favourite pizza Salsiccia Calabrese in Pepenero Schwabing. If I got a chance i will come over and over again. 100 percent the best Italian cuisine.

Pizza was just bad this is the second time this is it

It took like 45 minutes for the first course to be serviced and then it took another 45 minutes for the other food to come. The waitresses are not even looking at customers. Very slow service and customers are ignored.

We found this restaurant by chance while looking for a place to have a drink. We also ordered pizza, and my goodness, it was delicious! We'll definitely be back. Thank you for a great evening and great food.

I specifically ordered gluten-free pasta and paid a €1.50 surcharge for it, but I was still served regular pasta with gluten. For people with intolerances or celiac disease, this is absolutely unacceptable and can have serious health consequences.

TBH... This is more of a 4 stars but the service was great. The staffs repeatedly made sure that "is everything alright?" and seeing the way they serve their customers diligently, it warms my heart and thus the extra star for them. I only had a beer, and a Linguine allo scoglio aka some kind of seafood pasta, which was good! It had little pieces of clams and squids, 2 decent sized prawns and 2 mussels, which were all good. But the tiny little squids and clams when combined, felt like they were dancing happily in my mouth with the tomatoes based linguine. It's a very decent meal for sure. Something that I didn't like...? The Spaten Hell beer... It's Abit gassy and tasted Abit different from normal German beers. I can't remember the others I drank here, but most were great and all were better than this. It's not bad, just not to my liking. Overall, this is a 8.25/10 and dining in a nice quiet neighbourhood, adds to the whole experience!

Great selection of pasta and pizza. Deliciously prepared. Very good salads and an excellent selection of drinks. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Close to the Münchener Freiheit subway station. Good opening hours, even during the day.

No complaints. Service was so fast that I almost thought that the waitress had the wrong table. Pizzas are easily the star of the show too, absolutely huge and tasted great. The pizza diavola (attatched below) was huge, and it's worth noting that the plate was abnormally large too (picture of knife and fork attatched for scale). Very affordable too, nice outdoor seating. Waitresses were quick to refill drinks.

I'm sorry, but I paid €13.95 for my "César" salad. The price doesn't reflect the quality at all... I got a bit of bread with it, just two thin pieces... I didn't like the salad at all; I'll never come back here again.

I was very disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. I waited 20 minutes without being served – even though I tried twice to politely inform the waitress that I'd like to order. Each time, I was fobbed off with an arrogant remark: "I'll be right with you." But that never happened. Instead, I was completely ignored, even though other guests who arrived after me were served immediately – by the same waitress! When I complained to another employee, all I got was a disinterested "So what?" I then left. The staff's behavior was completely unprofessional and rude. No service, no friendliness, no respect for the guests. I've never experienced anything like it. I will definitely never come back – and I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone. One star is still too many!

Little casual but we’d enjoyed a dinner at here with colleagues. They offer range of pasta and pizza menu and I chose the spaghetti scampi which is my favorite pasta. With nice white and red white together with very enjoyable moment with colleagues.

Definitely a solid restaurant. It's a great place to spend an evening. The food isn't particularly high-quality, but the taste is okay. The pizzas were delicious; you can also take them with you if you can't make it or want to go. The pasta, however, could be improved. Vegetarian options are simply carrots and peas 😱. Service could be better. Communication issues. A bit dark at the table. Missing candles. Parmesan cheese was rationed. 🥹

Food & Value for Money: The food was excellent – ​​very tasty, freshly prepared, and attractively presented. The waiting time was also pleasantly short, and the food was served promptly. The fair value for money is particularly noteworthy. Here, the quality matches the price. Atmosphere: The ambiance of the restaurant is generally cozy. Unfortunately, the overall positive impression was marred by very loud guests, who, among other things, sang loudly and thus significantly disturbed the peace and quiet in the restaurant. A friendly but firm response from the staff would have been desirable to ensure a more pleasant experience for other guests. Service: The service was generally attentive and quick – however, we would like to note one point that struck us as unpleasant: The attention of the service staff was strongly focused on the male companions. For example, only the male guest was asked whether the food was tasty, while the female companions were ignored. In a modern, hospitable restaurant, we expect respectful and equal treatment of all guests – regardless of gender. Conclusion: Pepinero impresses with its excellent food and fair prices. However, there is still room for improvement in terms of service and handling disruptions in the dining room. We would nevertheless give the restaurant a second chance – hoping for a thoroughly enjoyable experience on our next visit.

Hello, ladies and gentlemen, we had a wedding reception today and ate at Pepenero. The woman with the braided hair served us excellently. Even though there were a lot of us and we had many special requests, everything was brought very quickly and every wish was fulfilled. What was also very kind was that the waitress rearranged the tables especially for us. The food was great, especially the spaghetti scampi. I highly recommend it. Best wishes from the family with the wedding reception.

"Eat well and affordably, and get your fill" – this successful concept has been working for 15 years now! We judge a restaurant primarily by its value for money, and that's even better at PepeNero's. Just like the always friendly and patient service. More than just pasta and pizza, always worth a visit.

It's simply incredible what you always conjure up. I've never had such good pizza delivered in Munich. And it's by far the best Pepenero in Munich. Kudos to the chef.

We were there last night shortly after 7 p.m. and I'm actually very lazy about writing a review, but yesterday's visit has practically given me the impetus to give one. Reading the reviews, I find Kaya74's review very apt, and we have exactly the same impression. It couldn't have been described better: The waiters are truly unfriendly and give you mummy-like looks (I think Kaya74's review is spot on). We didn't have a table reservation, so we fully understand having to wait a bit longer. We waited "dutifully" at the entrance so that a waiter could greet us appropriately and at least briefly say a few words to us about whether there was a chance of a table. If not, that would have been fine, too. After waiting 15 minutes without anyone speaking to us, we ended the "tragedy" and left, which ultimately turned out to be a good thing, since we were expecting Italian food yesterday and were looking for another restaurant. We then found one near Leopoldstrasse/Ungererstrasse. It's called Restaurant Italy. It was the complete opposite of Pepenero. Very friendly waiters (it was also very busy, but the waiters were willing to give us a table), the food was excellent, the atmosphere was very pleasant and friendly, and not to forget: the prices were much better than at Pepenero (but that's probably unnecessary. We went there for dinner last night and sat outside on the sunny side. Although it was very busy, the service was very friendly and accommodating and you didn't have to wait long for your food. Everything was very tasty and the atmosphere was great too. All in all, highly recommended!
